Seatness in the front row with Paulie today. We're back. Molly. Molly. I think I'm going to my daughter.

I'm going to David Busters with my daughter today. She just checks me. We're on for David Busters.

So yes, I'm going to David Busters tonight.

Yes. That's a bold move. Going there tonight. Yeah. Well, they have TVs there, so I can still play the games there.

A lot of TVs there. David Busters. So Molly, thank you for texting me and during the show. What time? What kind of CD you in ski ball?

What do you expect? You have a 4C and 9 and we have to do it all. I'm more of a play in playing. I'm a play in. That's not good.

Please try it again, 3, 2, 1. Every day as March madness, it's not an optical illusion. Seatness in the front row with Paulie, not Molly. How about that? Yeah.

Dylan is in Seatness chair. Marvin is out today and of course Todd is here as well. Sorry, I just get my sound effects ready for the day. Wow. It's been a minute since I got to play with all this.

Yeah, we're ready, we're going to be a fun 3 hours. Okay. 877 3D P show operator, Tyler sitting by, he'll take your phone close. Thank you. Thank you.

Still time to fill out your bracket to be involved in the celebrity bracket challenge go to dampatrick.com. Here are the celebrities, John Smoltz, Mark Cuban, Rebecca Low, Roger Bennett, Guy Fieri, Reiner's Tribons and Dives, Philip Rivers, Brady Quinn, Johnny Bench, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Alex Ovechkin, Nick Wright, Jim Bayheim, Frank Callando, Mike Golex, Senior, Connor Hellabuck, the gold medal winning goalie team USA, Josh Dumello, Darious Rucker, Jason Garrett, Reggie

Miller, Melissa Stark, and Chris Manux.

Okay. Yeah, Paul.

I think this is year two for Ovechkin, and I can just picture him sitting there

going, Duke Sienna, I like Sienna, they're scrappy, high point, high point, I like their

chances. You take a kind of sus state. So Todd reached out to every beautiful woman in a Hollywood, and they have no connection to us, and they all turned us down for the celebrity bracket. You never know.

Somewhere no response, that's not really her thing, or she's overseas, or she's in production and I've heard all the story. Well, we would like to thank Rebecca Lowe and Melissa Stark for joining us these celebrity bracket shows. They do have some kind of affiliation with the program.

Alrighty. So you still have time, we got our brackets in. You might be surprised to I'm picking to win the national championship, but I'm not going to tell you right now. I don't want to change your opinion on your bracket if you're feeling it out.

This could shift the odds considerably with March Metton. So curious if you're going chalk or... Statter the day brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the program,

and come up with a poll question, play of the day, Statter the day, Tracy McGrady, who

didn't play in college, he'll join us coming up next hour. Miami, Ohio, and a must-win situation I thought perception wise, got the win over SMU. Three of you, A&M, over Lehigh, you got games coming up at noon Eastern, TCU, and Ohio State, Troy, Nebraska, South Florida, Louisville, and High Point, Wisconsin. Doesn't it feel like there's a place in Wisconsin called High Point, hey, High Point

Wisconsin, where's that outside of Milwaukee, Troy, Nebraska?

Where's that? It's close to Lincoln. Yes, Paul. Is that Steven's point the school that we love in Wisconsin? Wisconsin Stevens point.

Yeah, you're morphing them. Yeah, so High Point could be close to Wisconsin Stevens point. Yes, Dylan. Do you want to know what the highest point in Wisconsin is? Hmm.

Do you have that? I don't. Thank you. I do. It is Tim's Hill.

Him. Him's. Tim's Hill. With two M's. One thousand nine hundred fifty-one and a half feet.

That's not very tall. I went to High Point. I went to High Point. I went to High School with a guy named Tim Hill. I have a friend named Tim Hill.

And this is, oh, you have a friend named Tim. Okay. All right. Not from Wisconsin. Okay.

I, you know, I had to put my bracket in and I, so I took it back. So, you know, Anthony could type up, you know, make a graphic of everybody's, uh, brackets. And it's in the garbage can and it's all crumpled up. Mario did this and he's like, yeah, uh, do you want your bracket?

I go, yeah, let me have it. And then he goes, it's in the garbage can. And I, like, if I win the whole thing, I was going to frame it. And now it's all crumpled up here. You know, I've been autographed and, yeah, Paulie.

It didn't crumple up the lyrics to let it be after they recorded the song. Todd would have. Yeah, I was like there's stuff like that. Yeah. Yeah.

You're not a big Beatles fan. You know what? Ever since I got like a free Beatles sweatshirt from somebody from a fan. All right. I'm not going down there, bro.

All right. Paul question, Dylan, you got to do the honors today. Oh, all right, Dan. I got a couple of absolutely two. I'll Dylan, maybe, feels things in.

That is perfect. This year's tournament will be mostly chalk. What does it called when it's not chalk? Not chalk. I think it's called not chalk or not chalk.

Upset laden. Upset laden more, um, more parody. Wait, are you doing the pull questions today? I'll give Dylan a head start. Okay.

Okay. I, I wanted to give Dylan something to do. Well, I didn't want to give you too many things to do. Yeah. All right.

Okay. That works out well for me because I was an unprepared. Today is the day. March Madness. Now we get to a 64 teams were ready to go and, uh, you know, Sunday at the masters, you

got to college football on New Year's Day, NFL and Thanksgiving, uh, everything carries the tradition. March Madness hits different because, you know, the interesting part is no champions crowned a day. So all this is just survival today tomorrow and then the weekend.

That's all you want to do. Can you get through the weekend? Because then you get a little bit of time. You get some publicity for your school and then you get a few days before your next round. But, uh, the urgency is unmatched.

That's what I love about it because you're just trying to get something that's fleeting.

And, uh, the margins, razor thin, the upsets will come.

We always do and, um, that's always the hook because for two days, it's, we, we kind

of throw ourselves in like studying for a final cramming for a final all night to go and

Take it and then come away and act like you know college basketball.

Uh, you win. You move on. You lose. You go home. It's simple.

It's brutal. It's exhilarating. It's a dicking. It's madness.

And that's what we love about it.

All right. So get your brackets in. You can play along with us with these celebrity bracket challenge.

What other pull questions or possibility for the first time with the program?

Well, we're starting to, uh, there's, there's some off air talk a little bit about, uh, the, like sort of a reverse draft. Yeah. Might do a little later. Okay.

Dylan, would you explain this that these are the top four seeds in each bracket, each, you know, east, west, south, whatever it is? Yes. So we're going to, obviously, I don't know what to do. No east, west, north, north, south, whatever.

I don't know what the region is or don't they have, like east, west, south, and mid west. Okay. Or whatever. No north. Yeah.

Um, so usually, obviously, the goal is to pick winners in the tournament. We're going to do the opposite. There's plenty of let downs in the tournament. We're going to take the top four seeds of a pool of 16 teams and each draft three teams that we want to or not want to.

We think will not do well. So you get knocked for advancing. But do I get more points if I say I'm going to take Duke is the number one seed? Yeah. So you'll get four points for that.

We'll go and reverse our stuff. If you take a one seed, you get four points to seed three, three seed. Okay. So the worst, they do the better I do correct stuff. And it's we're calling it the Arizona draft because it's historic.

Oh, I know. Oh, thanks. Whoa. That's the face. Uh, because you can take Alabama to four seed and they don't have one of their

better players and but you only get one point if exactly when they balance. Okay. All right. It's a little on pencil bed in there is a prize. Dan.

What is it? There is a prize. What is that? I hadn't really thought of a prize, but there will be a prize, a gift card. Why don't you keep me a prize of the prize?

Yes. That's the word prize. What I did done. That was a gift. Yes, you.

Which of these teams maybe this is going to cut out the point of doing the whole reverse

thing, but what are these teams are you most likely to be disappointed by?

Yeah. That's going to cut out the whole. That cuts out the whole thing. Can't you wait? No, because I want to do a poll question out of it.

No. Well, why don't we wait to have our draft and then it'll be a poll question. And we can do a poll question to attach to that. That sounds like fun. We're workshopping this.

It's unscripted. Yes, Paul. Should we call it the disappointment draft to take a little heat off Arizona or huge in Tucson? Man.

Huge in Tucson. Why are we going after Arizona this year? This be the year, Arizona wins it all. Not likely. It's the NCAA more amendment.

That's the tournament. It's the more amendment. Wow. Well, you might be surprised with my bracket. You're going to, you're taking Arizona.

I've got Arizona. No, you don't. You don't learn anything. I know what is wrong with you, dude. That's all I'm going to tell you.

I got Arizona winning it all.

So then you should be, like, you're not allowed to take them in the

straff then. No, I could do. You can't head your bets like that. Yeah. And I win either way.

They're going to win it or they're going to. I was sitting on that one. Okay. All right. Okay.

That's fine.

But every year, I always, I call them the chargers of college

basketball. I think they're going to win. I hope they're going to win and they don't win. And then they bow out early. You see.

But this year, and even when I was filling out my bracket, and then I gave it to the back room guys to type it up so we could show it. If you're watching on peacock or NBC Sports Network, and then Mario goes. Arizona. And I go.

Yep. Yep. This is the year. Yes, Dylan. I feel like Arizona and the chargers have sort of broken you.

Just coming back no matter how mean they are. Yeah, but I haven't done that with the chargers in a couple of years. It'll be back. I think when Philip Rivers was there, that was the last time. I don't do it anymore.

But Arizona basketball. We're all in. Let's go, cats. Come on now. There's going to be a couple of players where you go.

That guy's a star, at least for a day, a weekend, five days. And the one guy that I think you're going to like, well, okay. The way I used to play basketball, I love this guy. Now, remember Jack Golke at Oakland. He knocked off Kentucky.

Yes. I think he was 23 years of age.

And I'm never having Calaparion when he was at Kentucky.

I go, did you think about double teaming the guy? And y'all, yeah, smart ass, I go, just saying that guy was crushing you. High points, Chase Johnston. He's attempted, I believe, four or five, two point shots this year.

He shot four free throws.

He is 64 from 132 from three point range. He makes 48 and a half percent from three point range. See, that would be stat of the day. Oh, that is, Marvin's not here. It seems like more interesting fact of the day than it is.

It's a stat, it's just a stat, what Paul? So, just a 132, three is he attempted and he attempted four, two's. Yeah. We love that stat. He's been in college basketball.

This is your six for him for Dr. Justin. Is cream Abdul Jabar still was St. Louis? Avila? Yeah, of course.

I think you won't player the year in the conference.

Was that Bobby Avila checking? Yeah, but they had all these nicknames for him, but white guy with glasses got some tattoos. Robby Avila. Robby Avila.

Yeah. Yeah, cream Abdul Shumar, great nickname.

Miami of Ohio, with the win against SMU, they shot 39 percent.

They took 41 threes. SMU made five three pointers. That was the difference. SMU had a better fuel goal percentage free throw percentage and out scored Miami by 26 points in the paint and ended up losing.

And I mentioned that it's less than an hour drive from Oxford, Ohio to Dayton, and you could expect a home court advantage for Miami, Ohio. This first hour brought you by true green.

I think coming out of where I came from from the Bronx, I think I grew up really poor.

I didn't know that then because I very much use my creativity to romanticize life. And I'm like my mom did a really good job of like you step back and you're like, whoa, we, I don't know how we made it. So a lot of my life was like bill out of like survival to get to the next place. Like my drive, my like tunnel vision of like I got to be better.

I got to achieve this was off the strength of like I want to make a better life for us. If you new better brings real talk from women who've lived it unpacking career pivots, relationship lessons and the mindset shifts that changed everything. Listen to if you new better with Amber Grimes on the I heart radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.

When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech in the future of humanity,

the host always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything.

Here, the Nick Dick and Paul show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Google did that I think was so unique. He's the right director. Who do you think he is? I don't know.

You know he said like the president. You think it was the president? He can't have the president, you think China is a president, does law prove that. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time.

Look how I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it like it's like the old Polish saying, not my monkey is not my circus. Yep, there's a good one. I like that saying. Isn't actual Polish saying?

Yeah, it is. Isn't actual Polish. Yeah, better version of play stupid games when stupid prizes. Yes.

Which by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift who said that for the first time.

I actually thought it was.

I got that wrong.

Listen to the Nick Dick and Paul show on the iHeart radio app, Apple podcast or wherever

you get your podcasts. Usually on this podcast will kill you. We talk about the diseases, infections, and biological threats that can make us really sick. But right now, we're doing something a little different. We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going.

When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out. We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does, why our bodies don't follow neat rules and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by.

The second half of our series takes us to the digestive system with a multi-part series

on what happens after we eat. Okay, I just have to say that all of my favorite words apparently are digestive. Yeah, it's spinked her, parents still says. It's fascinating, it's funny and it matters so much more than you think. Episodes of our new series run from January 20th through February 17th with new episodes

I went and sat on the little autumn and in front of him, I said, "Hi dad!" And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen and she says,

"I haven't cooked these in milk. This is bad ass convict." Right, just minutes by. I'm going to have cookies in milk. Yeah, mom. Tonya's sound that's better than this. Most influential creators all in one place, search for iHeart TikTok Radio, make it a preset and stay connected all day. Busy slate coming up today in tonight, March Madness. I'm just seeing something from shams that Kate Cunningham has a collapsed lung.

And out indefinitely for the Detroit pistons, we'll see if we can get some more information on that, but I'm just seeing a tweet here from shams. So if we could jump on that, see if there's any further information on the piston star with a collapsed lung. Chris and Syracuse leads us off. Good morning, Chris. What's on your mind today?

Hey, thanks Dan. I got a couple of things for you, and a question for you. Yeah, my ambiello high approved last night, they belong in the turning. And SMU proved the ACC is not the dominant basketball conference that once was from top to bottom. And Dan, earlier the week, you talked about Don Nelson's unique shooting style. I've loved when he used to take foul shots. He'd shoot him one hand, it anyhow.

The ball so daintly, it was like he was holding a newborn, and also earlier in the league, Dan,

you mentioned that you and your wife worked as CNN, and I can't remember exactly this final

poor story. But while you were working a final four for CNN, didn't you and your future wife go on one of your first dates, and you kind of had a good will-honey moment, and you pushed your press pass across the bar and said, sorry guys, got to go see about the girl. No, it wasn't that. It's better that way. But it was Villanova, George Town title game, and I went on a date, one of my first dates with my wife. We went to Chinatown in New York.

And there's no monitors back, you know, that nobody cares about a basketball game, but I wanted to prove to her how much she meant to me. It's like I don't need to watch the national title game. Even though I was going to either George Town or Villanova, whoever won the title to cover the parade. Well, Villanova shocks the world, beats Patrick Ewing, John Thompson, and my wife at the end of dinner goes into the bathroom, and I call the

hotline number at CNN. And I said, hey, can you give me an update on the game? And they go, oh,

you didn't see it. Now, in this business, you never want to be told or ask, oh, you didn't see it,

because then you know, oh, my goodness. And then they told me the whole story, you know,

What Harold Jensen was on fire in the second half, and Villanova shocked Geor...

and just then, so I had a pay phone in the Chinese restaurant, and I hang up the phone, and then my girlfriend, now my wife comes out and she goes, why? I go, nothing, she goes,

know, something, something bad happened. I go, no, no, not at all. Was it the basketball game?

I said, yes, it was. And I said, Villanova pulled up, pulled off one of the bigger upsets of all time. And she goes, are you mad? I go, no, no, not at all. I said, but I'm going to have to go to Philadelphia for the victory parade. But not right now, not right now. But yeah, that was one of my

first dates, but I was like, I'm going to show her. I'm not all about sports. Yes, Dylan.

I think it actually worked out in your favor that it was such a great, if it was just a news or you'd be like, yeah, but then I think I sent the message that, hey, one of the great games of all time, it's okay. I had one of the great meals dates of all time right here with you. No, Biggie. Yes, you might want to consider those shifting it to more of that goodwill hunting story. Yeah, like, like, just add that in and you could even make it like, was it the inspiration

for it? I don't know, maybe it was the inspiration for that scene, but I did say sorry, Phil, it's like, I can't go to the game. Here's my press pass. Yes, Phil. And then it's so

one doesn't know sports and you're talking to people, say our second date was Miracle on Ice.

And I sat that one out too, even though the timeline doesn't match you. Yeah, it wasn't a word that way, but I get it. He's wrong. I see what you said. Yeah. Yeah. I missed all of these great sporting events because I was going on dates with my now wife. Your Montana completed the past to who in the back of the Amazon against Dallas? Yes, Todd, you didn't feel need to excuse yourself permitted and like going to like a cross the street or a parlor go, after you've found out that

you missed one of the greatest upsets in college. No, no, no, love, you know, I love love. You do love comes first. Love comes first. Yes, Dylan. If like a smart phones were as ubiquitous

back then, would you have been trying to sneak watch it on your phone at dinner or were you going

to stay? No, I would have stayed true. I would have, you know, I committed to the date and I would have stayed committed. But if you could have gotten text messages, then I probably would have had my phone nearby for that. Everything worked down. 38 years later, everything worked down. Yes, 38 years later, you get to sit in your basement by yourself and watch whatever you want. Yes,

winner. That's, that's what I worked for. Yeah. Yeah. Walk off. You guys get out of here. I'm

watching whatever I want every night. Yeah, no, we're just going to bother me. I go downstairs. My daughter's cat will join me and then that's it. Have a cigar and have a little tequila. I'm good to go. You made up for missing that game along. Yes, I did. Yeah. And I remind my wife of that, you know, hey, I can't afford to have another villain over Georgetown situation on did we settle on a poll question here? I think we have a chalk or non chalk, non chalks.

No one. Okay. How are you phrasing the question? This year's tournament will be mostly chalk, non chalk. I don't know why that accent comes out. Yeah, I don't know why you're doing a boss. Oh, is this the goodwill hunting? No one. Maybe it's the goodwill hunting accent there. It could be. Yeah. Yeah, chalk heavily when it chalk. Yeah, chalk. Yeah, I think so too. When are we revealing our brackets? Or at least our final four? Is that the final hour for our final

four? And then who's going to win the national title? All right. But you have to have your brackets

in by the top of the hour. I believe. Is that that right, Todd? That is correct. It's exactly a half hour of your lockdown. Okay. Unfortunately. All right. Dylan wants to play the Jack Goldkey game. This was the sharp shooter from Oakland a couple of years ago. He knocked out Kentucky almost single-handed. Yeah, 2024 tournament. Yeah. The 32 points with 10 threes. Okay. It's sort of a where are they now? Where is Jack Goldkey? Yeah, a lot of these guys, you know,

they come on the scene for a few days and then sort of vanish. You see in Europe? He is not. Okay. Todd, your guess? Where is Jack Goldkey? To accept the insurance business insurance business? All right. Satan. He's a chef. I was going to guess European basketball league. I think that's off the board now. I'm going to say he's playing in some type of professional basketball league outside the country. Dylan? Well, so at one point he was in Europe, he was actually in

Montenegro in 2024 after the tournament. Okay. Currently, he is with. Is he a G-leaker? He is a G-leaker.

He's with the Texas legends.

year. That sounds nice. Okay. Jack Goldkey. All right. Still, still shooting. By the way, I don't Mac McClung is unbelievable in the G-leak. He's going to be, it's like, um, there was a guy

who, uh, once held the minor league record for home runs. I think his name was Roger Fried.

I can't, like, 242 home runs in the minor leagues. But he couldn't get to the majors. I know he played a little bit, but Mac McClung, I saw him the other 90 put up 54. And yes, I'm watching the G-leak basketball. He's unbelievable. I know he can't guard anybody, but white, there's a lot of guys who can't guard anybody in the NBA, but he shoots threes. You know, he'll have double digit assists. I mean, he's, he's a different, he's, he's, he's so different than everybody else

in that league it feels like. Yeah, Paul. Two things. How can Mac McClung not be on the net's roster? Yes. They're horrid and they're unthreatening, not necessarily in that order. But I don't know if Brooklyn's coming out to see Mac McClung, but then Brooklyn's not coming out to

see the net. So why don't you give me shot? Yes, Paul. And the second part is, I think the all-time

home run leader is now crash Davis for minor league baseball. I saw the movie. He broke the record. He put the Asheville tourist. Yeah, I don't, I don't think that was real. Well, but he might have been Roger Fried who was in the Philly's organization. Can we check that? The all-time home run leader for minor leagueers. If it's Roger Fried in the Philly's organization. Are you walking? I'm walking off. That would be a walk off there. Yes, Dylan. I'm seeing that it's not Roger Fried.

I'm sorry you have to stay there. All right. I'll stay for the rest of the show. Mike Hessman

with 433. I'll be so bummed if I'm on Hessman. A Hall of Fame level number of home runs of

minor leagues have never made it to the main home runs is Roger Fried. If he's got 242, I'm walking off.

Checking. We're checking. All right. Here's the Slater Games today. TCU Ohio State Troy, Nebraska, South Florida, Louisville, high point versus Wisconsin. Ciena versus Duke, McNeese against Randy North Dakota State Michigan State, Hawaii against Arkansas, VCU North Carolina, Howard against Michigan, Texas against BYU, A&M versus St. Mary's, Penn versus Illinois, St. Louis versus Georgia, and Kennesaw State versus Gonzaga, Idaho,

versus Houston. Let me see how many games do we have at least a 20 point spread. One, two, three,

four, five. So we have five teams or at least 20 point underdogs. How about double digits today?

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. 10 teams, double digit underdogs. Or double would digit point underdogs. Yes, Pauli. Back to minor league baseball, of course,

Dan and March. Most home runs. We're going to get that a second in a minor league career.

Roger Fried did have the record with 225. We're going to give that to you, though. For a long time, he did play sparingly in the majors and had 22 homers in the majors. So he was not a, didn't make it guy. Did he, did he play for the fillies? Yes, he did. All right. Thank you. Two seasons. All right. He was, thank you. All the time, home run record as of currently, Mike Hesman, home run has been 19 seasons for her in 33 homers. Dang.

Draft King's just set me the updated basketball odds. Duke is your favorite slight favorite over Michigan. Then my Arizona Wildcats Florida Houston, Iowa State, and Illinois. So that's according to Draft King's. All right. A couple of phone calls in here. Jay and Delaware. Hi, Jay. What's on your mind today? Hey, Dan. Good morning, guys. First off, Dan, I'm just like you. I haven't been in years, but I decided to do Arizona this year. My brackets pretty chalk. I do have a couple

11 12 seed upsets in the first round, but that's about it. And second thing, Dan, I'm 41 years old, just like LeBron. And I'm going to tell you what, watching that man last night, it is just the it's insane. That team is clicking on all those things right now. Yeah. Watch out. Yeah. I know, you know, that it feels like the roles have been defined with the Lakers. You beat the rocket again. And this is really important because if LeBron goes out there and knows that he is the third option.

Capable being a first option anytime down the floor, but it's Luca then Reeve...

And he was great last night. He missed one shot and it up with 30. And if you can get that,

but it comes back to, I need you to be able to stop somebody. Because at some point, you're going to okay see place great defense, spurs play great defense, Celtics play great defense. Lakers not so much, but Luca scores 40. LeBron had 30. LeBron was 13 to 14 from the floor.

You know, that's the dangerous team right there. And that's what you want to be. You be a three seed here.

And to beat the rockets, you know, you played him twice. So, you know, the familiarity was there, but to watch LeBron and to get and it feels like they go as he goes. I expect Luca to put up volume, Austin Reeves to put up good numbers. But LeBron is the, what do you need from me? And it takes me back to, I believe Bill Sherman was the coach of the Lakers back in the early 70s. And he asked Will Chamberlain, I need you to play defense. I need you to rebound and block shots.

So, the all-time leading score at the time, he said, I want you to play defense because I got guys who can score. They ended up winning a title. They won 33 games in a row. But will, and granted, will had a bad knee at the time, but still, will was committed to being a great

defensive player. I think I think he made 72.5 or 9% of his shots that year. Everything he had

was basically just dunks. But he knew that if they were going to win, he was going to be,

he was playing defense. Everybody else would worry about the offense. Adam and Michigan. Hi, Adam, what's on your mind? Hey, Dan, how you doing? Good. Good, good. Hey, fresh called in the other day and said, cop five NCAA team, go. And you're like, I need three days or nothing or more. And then all of a sudden, you guys just had to populate the list because he can't throw a list out in front of some fellows, not expected to populate it. So, I just wanted to throw

in ice-cold Mike, baby, onto that list. And then continue with you guys to talk about that. Hey, you had a great college career. Yeah, I was there when they won the national title. And he had a good pro career. But I go back watching his dad Henry Bibi play at UCLA, not the same player Mike. Mike was a better player. But Henry Bibi playing for John Wooden, he was a really good player. Yeah, Paul. I've got Mike Bibi's career stats. He had a really nice

run with Sacramento and they were relevant. Yeah. He did not make an all-star team and he had a couple of seasons where average 20 and 7. Yeah. Uh, let's see. Billy and Iowa. Hi, Billy. What's

on your mind today? Hi. Hey, morning. Thanks for taking the call. Sure. Uh, first time on time,

watch John Peacock. I wanted to talk about the retired numbers thing. Okay. I'm a huge cardinal fan and also a bear fan. But I like the fact that the cardinals retire Hall of Famers. And I Paulic did probably talk about the bears as well. They don't retire numbers like they're going out of style. And the other thing I would say, yeah, I love your take on conception, and should be in a Hall of Fame. And I agree with you on that. So I appreciate you taking my call.

Thank you, Billy. Yeah, the whole retired jersey number. I mean, make it special. I, I like the Cowboys had number 88 said Drew Pearson and then Michael Irvin, now CD lamp. So it became a tradition and honored to wear that. And I like that. I like what the Cowboys do. They honor the number and you say you're honoring the number with Drew Pearson. But it's available for, you know, Michael Irvin to wear in CD lamp. I like that. But if I'm going to USC and I only want to go to USC

or part of going to USC is I need number 11 because that's my number in high school. But you retired that with mat liner. If I'm going to USC, I want to form forge my own career. I want to retire my own number. I don't want mat liners number 11 that you want to unretire. So you can have it. It's

mat liner. Do you want to highsman? You get your jersey retired. Yeah, see. Yeah, I think I fall more in

line with the, you receive the number as an honor similar to like you're saying with the Cowboys. Right. If you're a wide receiver and they give you 88. That's a, that's a major honor. Like I'm in line with all of these other guys. I feel like that's something really special that more teams should do. Yes, Todd. And would you make the number more important in the school? What kind of, what kind of message does that send? It's like, you really want to play for USC if we can't give you 11 because it's

Retired.

that that's true. But if anyone would do it, if anyone would pass on going to a school, that's obviously

not something that had any major passion to play for that school if the number is more important

than that. Well, if I'm trying to close that player and I go, yeah, we'll give you 11. You know, let me call that liner and say if we can get you. Hey, let me get Matt on the phone with you. Hey, Matt, how are you? Good. Hey, I got Jimmy Lipper here. He wants to come to USC, but only if you can wear your number 11. Click. Yeah, see. Yeah, that's like for me, if the number is that important for a recruit, that is a massive red flag. Like a gigantic red flag, because that's not the only

thing that they're going to be super demanding about. That's the one of the things that they're going to really like stump their feet. I'd be like, you know what? I'm good. Yeah, Pauli. But this could be the norm now and not 10 years ago. 10 years ago, the wider receiver being recruited by USC wasn't making more than the guy recruiting him, which is absolutely possible for a recruiting coordinator. Yeah. But you know what? It's okay to say no to your kids. It is. It's okay. Yeah,

see. And I don't know that respect. It should really be determined singularly on who makes more money in this conversation. Yeah, but it gives them the power to ask for things that they might not in their minds. They might be like, hey, you're paying me a couple of million dollars. I want number 11. You're not getting a number 11. I can't imagine somebody saying, well, then I'm not going to USC. Yes, Dylan. You can do like they do in the pros when someone gets

traded and they want the number be like, I'll give you 250 grand for it. But Lionard said, you can't give me anything. I'm not going to have you on. If you went to Heisman, they retire your jersey at USC. Yes. And the weirdest part of it, too, is that USC is the one that decided to retire

his jersey. And other can ask him, you mind if we unretire your jersey, even though he never asked

for it in the first place, it's not like he was like, you know what, I think I'm retiring

my jersey. USC, you guys can't use it anymore. They made the decision. Let's take a break. We'll update our poll results. We'll talk about the games today and tonight and our play of the day. who allowed an F-bomb on the air yesterday if he was suspended for one show. I would, since I'm the head of HR, I'd prefer not to talk about it, but I'm not going to confirm or deny anything here. Now you could say, is it a coincidence you can, or maybe somebody had to pay a price for something like that. You'll find out tomorrow when Marvin comes back in. Marvin did show up for work today, and he was only here for a little while. His white card still worked.

And then home to New Day though, huh? Dang. Yeah, it is. This is what happens, you know? There's consequences for everything. But once again, it could be just a coincidence that Marvin had an accident yesterday and he's not here today. Consequences and repercussions? Yes, that's the way of work. So Dylan is in Seaton's chair, Seaton moved up to Dylan's seat. Yes, Dylan. What? I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to replace Marvin.

It's only for one show. I'm glad you went with the safe bet. No F-bombs over here. No, you would not do that.

Never. I did demand a certain number though, Dylan, which I thought was a little aggressive.

Well, no, he said, I'm going to wear Marvin's. So that's the golden Knights. Hockey Jersey that he got when we were in Vegas. Yep, it has prints on the back. Marvin, he'd be queathed to me and now I'm sort of utilizing him with it. All right. Well, be careful when you're queefing. Be queefing. I usually try.

Let's see. Josh in Kansas. Good morning. Josh, what's on your mind today?

Hey, D.P. What's up, man? Hey. That just had a real quick question on the USC and Maliner's Jersey. Is there any repercussions that USC just let the recruit have as a Jersey number? That just looked bad. That would be a bad

Taste.

you just say the Jersey's not available. That's all. And it's available if, you know,

Matt wants it to be available. And he does it. Yes, yes, Paulie. What if her recruit asked for a number 32 with USC football? Well, would they gladly give it out? And hopefully he gets two heismans. Um, we should check has anybody worn 32 for those who don't know. Yeah, O.J. Simpson, Jersey. This recruit would definitely ask for 32. There. Yeah. For long. Yes, time. Take a stab at him. Maybe they'll say, yes, you don't know. No, no, no, no. Go there. No. I'd say you're better

than that, but you're not. No, you're not. David and Ohio. Hi, David. What's on?

Yeah, they thought might be thought might get suspended after, uh, allegedly after that comment.

He tried to work in some other influences. Yes, he. Yeah, his, his menu is
