Hello and welcome to DSR Daily, I'm David Rothko, I'm joined by Riley Fester ...

as on VK, and we're going to talk to you about what's going on around the world. Lots of

interesting stories today, including one really really weird one that Riley's going to

kick off with that also was the lead story in the New York Times in the Washington Post, which can't make our president to terribly happy. Well, to kick it off, I'm going to give the direct facts of the case in David, you can give an overview of why it's so fucking weird because that certainly is, I'm going to give the facts and then David, you can make shit up. Yeah, go on, go on. You can give the weird facts. Flight tracking data and playing spotter videos

indicate that the legacy Air Force One carrying White House staff and press landed at RAF,

Mildenhall shortly after a C32A aircraft arrived. What does that mean? That means that although President Trump was not originally aboard the legacy Air Force One, the flight mid-flight assumed the A-F1 call sign before parking the location previously occupied by the other aircraft. Because the aircraft stories face to away from cameras, it remains unclear how Trump transitioned from the C32A to the legacy Air Force One after landing, but David, you have

some clarity on how he might have done so. Well, no, I'm just reporting what's, you know,

I didn't make this up. I couldn't make this up. I'd like to have made this up because it's

pretty funny, but apparently Trump was transferred from one aircraft to another on a catering cart. I mean, in a catering cart. Not only do you think it means one of those little like catering carts. I mean, a catering container, you know, there's big enough for him to stand up and probably sample some of the snacks in it, but you know, there's several key points to this. This is all about an effort to apparently protect the President of the United States from the alleged Iranian

assassination plot targeting him. I would say that by the way, the reports in the Middle East right now that the Turks believe that this alleged Iranian assassination plot may have actually

been fabricated by Israeli intelligence. Now, I think the Turks believe that about a lot of things,

but I'm just telling you what they said. And, you know, the plot did involve the fact that the President was flying on the plane that is known to one and on that was bribe force one, the Cotari plane, and then allegedly switched to this other Air Force one, but actually wasn't even on the Air Force one. He may have been on this cargo plane, all of which was part of this big plan to protect him from the Iranian. I would say from the Iranian perspective, they have to be

this as a win. The President of the United States is now being mocked for hiding out in a container. He has also revealed once again that he's a psychopath. He does not care about anybody else. He left some of his staff and journalists on the allegedly targeted plane. In other words, he, you know, covered his own ass, but other people were put at risk. So it makes a mockery of him. It reveals once again what a deeply flawed character he has. It shows that he is running scared from the

Iranians. And none of it would have happened theoretically. If the President had not pushed forward his use of bribe force one, because he was so excited. And because people don't say no to him. Anyway, it's just, you know, it is, you know, we should have a new segment, rightly, called Cluster Fuck of the Day. You know, in every day, we could report some new

Trump Cluster Fuck. Although today, I think we've got a couple of them. But this is definitely,

you know, this is the winner. Might be the winner for the week because it is pretty ridiculous. Well, to go to a more normal story, as normal as they can be, I suppose. South Carolina voters are heading to the polls. Once again, for a special U.S. Senate primary following the death of the Senator Lindsey Graham, a crowded field of candidates is competing for the GOP nomination, including Graham, sister Darlene Graham, U.S. representatives Russell Fry and Ralph

Norman, and former representative Mark Sanford, if no candidate, secure as at least 50% of the vote in it. Today's primary, a runoff election will take place on August 25th. Yeah. And, you know, Graham sisters out there saying nothing's being handed to me.

I think it's also been interesting, by the way, that she's out there saying I...

the things my brother did. I'm more interested in affordability and issues like that, which can't

sit real well with Trump. But the Trump administration of lots of things that keep them occupied

these days, you know, with regard to elections across the country. For example, they, you know, they apparently send a message to the Ohio Republican Party, not to push Max Miller accused spouse abuser and abuser this child off the ticket. Because, you know, spouse abuser, you know, people who treat their families badly are actually, you know, signature character traits for members of the Republican Party. There's another primary, there's several going on today,

one in Wisconsin, where a progressive has a big lead in the polls, of course, we know what

the polls are all about. But as a big lead in the polls, in the race for democratic nomination for governor of Wisconsin, woman named Francesca Hong, who has driven a lot of the establishment dams crazy, because she's really good. And she really knows how to talk to people. And she doesn't really sort of tolerate bullshit questions. And frankly, I'm kind of rooting for her. I hope she wins.

I think she'd make this race interesting. And I like the idea of more progressives winning

at the heartland and sending the message that, hey, people who want, you know, health care and good schools and taking care of the environment exists everywhere across the country. What better place to show that than Wisconsin, which in the 19th century was really that birthplace of the reform movement in the United States. So, you know, there's a lot to watch today on these elections and we'll cover them close. Oh, back to some more stupidity president Trump signed an executive

or aimed reducing the number of federally recommended childhood vaccines from 17 to 11. And splitting the MMR shot individual doses and pressuring states to drop school vaccine mandates. Celebrated by idiots. I'm sorry. I mean, anti-vaccine advocates and supported by health secretary

RFK Jr. the chief of the idiots. The move revives thoroughly debunked claims linking vaccines to

autism mainstream pediatricians and medical experts strongly denounced the order emphasizing that childhood vaccines are proven safe and warning that the policy poses severe public health risks and it will face legal challenges. Yeah, of course it will face legal challenges. You know,

why will face legal challenges, right? Because dumb and bad and we'll put people in danger. There's always

a technical reason in the technical reason is that the federal government doesn't set vaccines, love standards, states do. And that's already been established in court. So this executive order has no meaning at all except to show that the president believes in junk, science. I don't even like he was the word science theory. He believes in quackery. He's surrounded by quacks and he says incredibly quackish things, including at the signing ceremony, for this terrible policy which

if implemented would lead to thousands of thousands of deaths. But we already said he's a psychopath and he doesn't really care about what happens to anybody else. He said, well, there's so many vaccines that are going into these kids that I've seen information that it's a soda bottle size quantity of vaccines that they're putting into tiny little babies. This is up there with, let's inject people with bleach during COVID. This guy shouldn't be let anywhere, well, he frankly shouldn't

be let anywhere near the end of the office. He shouldn't be let anywhere near any kind of decision. But so often has he disqualified himself as a judge on public health officials. And it remembers the man who presided over the biggest public health calamity in our history. And he just, you know, he just won't, he can't give up. You know, everything's personal to him. And so he could have, by the way, been associated with finding a vaccine for COVID super fast.

It could have been one of his great triumphs. But the way his psyche works, he just set that one aside. And he's decided to double down on the anti-vaxxers with his lunatic anti-vaxx secretary of health and human services. Anyway, as he said, better government doesn't have any sale for this from legal perspective. Now, could it lead other state governments to do this and say,

Well, we're going to do a president's suggest?

Following a major disaster in Columbia that killed 35 people in Cali alone left 180 missing the newly inaugurated President announced the deployment of 1,000 security personnel to combat local looting. In response to the crisis, city-somenacute overnight curfews, while the president called for ideological unity and national solidarity. The tragedy has drawn a start comparisons

to a devastating 1999 earthquake in the country, as well as recent catastrophic quakes in neighboring Venezuela. But, because the newly elected President is rightly not, the United States has promised

him a billion dollars in aid. Now, why is this interesting? Because the United States used to

give aid to a lot of people. Well, first of all, we don't give aid that much anymore. Remember, we shut down, you're gonna say, "I did." Secondly, we tend to only give it to countries where there are people who the president likes who are, you know, who is political fellow travelers, or Argentina, is real and so forth. But, you know, it also is worthy of note, because isn't this the administration that didn't provide disaster funds to blue states? So, if you're an American

citizen and you're paying taxes to the U.S. government, even if you're a Republican, and you have to live in a blue state where there's been a disaster, you're not gonna get out, but if you're

rightly not president of Columbia, we're gonna give you a billion dollars. How do you like them apples?

Well, wrapping up on a positive field good story, Trump, media and technology group reported a

widen the second quarter net loss of 238.1 million dollars, largely driven by unrealized losses

on its cryptocurrency holdings. Couldn't have happened to nicer people. Yeah, of course, what they're not saying is how much the idiots who invested in those cryptocurrencies also lost. Yeah. Well, they've got a new scheme to generate new revenue and the company launched its truth API data feed to provide a financial firms fast access to market and moving at truth, social posts, already signing over 10 customer agreements. It's a whole lot. Well, it's a whole lot,

but isn't this just insider information? I mean, this is essentially charging 100,000 bucks for subscription to the president, tell you what he's gonna tell somebody else. As if, by the way, those places will keep that secret. As if they've won't get out. It's completely illegal. It's gonna be challenged and stuff. But did you see the story yesterday because I thought you would have liked this one? I saw, I think Chris Hayes or somebody do this on MSNow. But he was talking

about those gold cards. You remember the gold cards that Trump said he was gonna win,

made the deficit with? Yeah. I remember that one. And he was like, if you pay $5 million,

you can come and live to the United States and Howard Letnik went on and he said he sold

1,000 of these in day one and that there were 37 million people in the world who qualified could

get a gold card and come to live in the U.S. bro. It's a small small price of $5 million. And this report revealed that, you know, how many people actually bought the gold cards? God, I have no idea. One. One was sold. That's what you did eliminate the deficit, right? Well, I don't think it did, actually. But, you know, it's just all these ideas are so, so dumb. They're so, so dumb. And so, you know, maybe putting the president in the catering container

is not the dumbest thing that we've heard about today. Since we're ejecting 300 years of science or, you know, some of these other hair-brain schemes are just as dumb or worse.

Personally, I would not leave Trump alone in a catering container.

talk about sort of, you know, big rats sitting there eating all your cheese. Anyway, that's the news for

today. We've got other podcasts. We just had a very interesting Siliconciousness, which will be

up a little bit later with the very distinguished Graham Allison professor at Harvard's Kennedy School

and we moved all over. We both written about the geopolitics of AI and what can we do about it.

And a lot of it was about how hard to make policy decisions when you don't have people actually

understand policy. But I encourage you to watch that and I, or listen to it and I encourage you to join us for all of our other podcasts here this week. It may be the dog days of summer.

Minna may be on vacation. But Riley and I, we're not on vacation. Riley just moved his house.

As those of you who are watching can see from the chaos in the background. But the reality is,

we're here for you, even through all of that. And Riley will get on path and we'll start of maybe we can do a calcium and get people the bet. How long it'll take you to actually get on time. Hey, you know what? Let's do a partnership, calcium call us. Yeah, we're for sale. Yeah, and we'll monetize. And Riley will sell out. You know, he'll do a lot of freight to sell out. Yeah, no, who we should. Got to put food on the table. You're saying the big checks from the DSR network.

I want to put more. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, everybody. Have a good day. Bye, bye.
