2026 is a huge year for Magnus and we wanted to take some time to catch you up on everything
that is going on because, well, it's a lot. It's been 10 years since the release of the first Magnus
Archives episode and we need to celebrate that with every single one of you who was listened to the show whether you are a brand new listener or have been here since the beginning. So firstly, season 2 act 3 of the Magnus Protocol releases every other week from 16th of July 2026

To tie you over till then, from this week, we have the winning entries for the Rusty Fears 7 Writing Competition, who short horror stories have been given the full Rusty Quill treatment with your favourite voice actors, huge congratulations to the winners because there were a lot of entries this year. Now, on to yet more massive news, in case you haven't heard, there is now a Magnus Archives novel, the Library of Jürgen Lightner is set in the world of the
Magnus Archives and written by Nebula Award-winning author, Prämie Mohamed, with our very own Jonathan Sims. The story follows Hugh, a university dropout desperate to find somewhere to belong and his new job at an esoteric library. The books he must investigate for the Enigmatic Jürgen Lightner are not normal, because the library is not a vault, sealed and silent, but a hive, alive, buzzing, and ready to sting. The Library of Jürgen Lightner releases October 27,
“2026, but you can pre-order it right now in the US and UK from your local bookshop or by using”
the link in the episode description. If you live outside of the UK or US, you may be able to make
an international order for this first publication, but it depends on individual retailers shipping policies.
On top of that, after the success of our Magnus Protocol collaboration with the independent apparel business knock thrice, we're now releasing a new Magnus Archives clothing collection, featuring Archivist Cardigans, a Tim Stoker inspired jacket, a Ghost Hunt UK hoodie, the spiral sweatshirt and shirts, and more besides. We received hundreds of messages from fans after our last release, desperate for some whimsical knock thrice designs based on archives classics,
with all the detailed illustrations and embroidery they had come to love, so we are thrilled to let you know you can pre-order them right now by going to knock thrice.ca or via the link in the episode description. Be one though, the pre-order closes April 19th, 2026, so order soon or you'll miss out.

private library of the enigmatic collector Yergen Lightning, where occult books are guarded and researched at a fatal cost. Lightning's library keeps the dangers of these books in check and there would be readers safe or so lighten their claims. For two of lighteners employees, the risks are worth it. For Hugh Franklin, the library is a place to belong, for Sebastian Everett, the library is an opportunity to indulge arcane ambitions, though there are 10 years that the library were years apart,
human Sebastian's stories unfold in parallel and their footsteps echo down the same eerie aisles, caught in a web spun long before either Everhert the name Yergen Lightning.
