Radio, man. So I don't know what's going on. Are you getting divorced? And you've worried about Alonone or what? Man, if you ain't working you dying. So I'm just trying to stay alive in this media business man. I'm trying to get like you one day trying to get a plaque and a name on a plaque. Trying to be, you know, it's going to be, I have a place at the table right and that's all. Well, I appreciate that. I don't know if it's going to be one place that,

you know, I'm a little, I'm a little collier, except for the illegal part. Well, I just, you know, like, hey, how was what would Ressilla? What was his hat be? I don't know. I really don't know.

All right, headline for me a last night's game. I think New England pissed it away. Your thoughts.

Who? Did they piss it away? I don't know if they pissed it away, or if Seattle's defense is just that much, is that dominant and that much better than collectively to see also that much better than the facts. I thought, you know, there was a lot of talk. I was listening to somebody talking this morning about the game and how Drake made play. And they felt like he didn't make any like pro quarterback type throws. It was like a very high school thing. It's like a scheme,

if you will. Like he was, they rolled him out. They let him throw the swing passes. And I was like, yeah, that's because Seattle wasn't giving them anything. They let him get everything. Yeah,

Whatever was underneath, they was going to let him have.

which was 15 plus, they were going to be all over and they were. And so I thought, you know, for the most part, early in the game, after the past did a fair enough job of combat and some

of that past rushing in that pressure. But then in the second half, he stopped. I was really

killed in two. The past and the second half, Drake stopped using his legs. And when he wasn't able to use his legs, they just, they kind of everything started falling apart. And I know a lot of people dragging Romeo dog right now for the way he played and they came rightfully. So you got it, you got to make them sketches, especially because after that big drop he had, Drake throws the interception truly well, picks it off. And it just, it starts to snowball from there. But I thought

to see off, so we just, the tougher, more, prettier, teen. And they were prepared to take the past deep water. And then they just got away from you. Yeah, and I don't mean that by like any indication of not respecting the Seahawst defense, considering to who they were missing the secondary, the turnover last year in the secondary, to go ahead and have that kind of performance.

But I feel like if Sam Donald goes down up to the first series and Drew Lock comes in,

who no one is afraid of, you're in the game. And then you have three interceptions in the fourth quarter like that. That's one that's a little tougher. You know, it's, I just would feel like, hey, we weren't great tonight, but Donald was out of the game. And we in a blow in a tunnel lead,

you know? Yeah, I think there was, I, I, I tweeted as to, I thought if they would have had

true to Damian Henderson, they would have been a lot better. So I think the goal was for them to be able to run the ball. And with having Henderson, they would have been able to get out and space and operate a lot better. I think anytime you, you know, when Ramon did was fine, I thought he, he did what he could. I thought he was tough. He had a couple of catches out of the backfield, but I think overall it came down to Drake and my eyes, not being able to use his legs in the second half.

Because his ability in the first half to use legs was what kept the Patriots on schedule and on time. When that stop happening, then, you know, he started all right, what do we have? Adrian Brown goes down with the ankle. Dogs is not catching the ball well. All right, they're, they're kind of loading the box. Then you start the strength for them. You start to see time at the time. And you know, I think for him being a quarterback coming off the year he had last year,

you know, he's still, he, he, he trust those guys out there. You know, he, when he threw that one ball of dubs, he's like, man, I, I know I haven't got, I can go up and get the ball. And with dubs, it's good. I catch them all at the halfway. And it just got away from him. So,

I, I, I don't, I don't think Drake may, I think people were talking about, you know, last year

with Fuzgo, because if schedule was bad and, you know, it was, excuse me, schedule was weak and, and this year, schedule is going to be a lot harder, rightfully. So, I still think he's a damn reporter back. You know, I mean, I still think he's worthy of being up there in the top 10. Yesterday, he just turned out to be a bad out of the infirmity. Yeah, we go over the picks. You can say, okay, the deep shot to dubs, like he's expecting him to win, although it's,

it's a, it's a dangerous throw because the safety's there and with the ball being up in the year, like the safety's at least going to get back into the play and the coverage was still decent. So that's a, that's a risky one, you know, yeah, there's a, if it's a lesser quarterback, we're like, come on, man, you've got to be better. It's here five or something like that. And with May, our expectation is like, he was just so good last year. The next one felt like frustration,

maybe because the previous one, trying to get it in there. And then I know he's the third one,

go ahead and have to cut you off, I apologize. No, no. I think the pick by Julia love was a set up.

I think they kept pressure on him, and pressure on him, and he, he just looked it through and then it boom, he just led a rip and Julia love with the sit in there. They were playing a lot of cloud coverage too. So I think between the blitz cloud coverage, you know, I could got to be correct to Brian Murphy and Big Cat, Linda Williams and those guys, man, they were mixing it up up on front. So I think I think, I think you started to get hot for him. And I think he's like,

man, I got to make, I got to get this, I got to get this ball out. And on time, and Julia loves you sitting for, sitting right there for it. So I think he was maybe seeing more than what was actually happening on the play. Yeah, the last one he said, hey, I was trying to throw it away, but then I saw columns over there and so you're like, all right, I mean, I still can't believe Seattle stated

bounds on that one, just an incredible interception on the night, speaking to your boy,

Murphy, who I look, that rep against the center, Georg Wilson, what what happens, I mean, look, sometimes you just lose the snap, but it's, it's crazy when a detackle looks like Necmanito against you. Man, it's, I've been in that position, though. Like, I had who was, little was his name up, well that is me, but this sometimes where God just beats you so fast and you just turn into ice, you just freeze, because you don't know what the hell just happened.

You just get worked so fast, you just like, oh, it's almost like you didn't even get off the ball.

I think in Brian Murphy's a dog, I can hear him, listen, when he was in Texas...

he started to emerge. And I think in yesterday, man, he just, he started clapping some cheeks

out there. He, he just thought it. He started beating the boys up in the interior of the line. And I like, you know, I'm a fan of Verita, I'm a new fan of Mike, I'm a wonderful bright guard. But here's times, man, where if Drake didn't escape that pocket, they would have had a lot more

sex. I think in the Super Bowl, they gave up six acts. If Drake doesn't use his legs early in that

game, it could have gotten close to that again. I mean, these guys started coming down and work and moving, man, when you get a beat of it, when a guy gets a beat on you that fast, I mean, you just, you just can't wait to the nice play happens so you can forget about it. So let's talk about that offensive line, match up for New England against what you saw from the D line in the C Hawks because I think, you know, coming into the sheer, like, art is Campbell,

going to be the guy that's been a top pick on another tackle. So what does that mean like down the road?

I think over the course of the night, like I was trying to watch like left side right side, I felt better about the left side, maybe it was more Moses at right tackle, but what is it about Seattle and what they're doing up there where, like, you want to, I wouldn't, I wouldn't leave last night's game being like, man, the path's online got worked. I'm not, I'm not saying that. I thought they looked better actually. Yeah, I think the left side looked better,

like certainly, especially with what it looked like the last time we had seen them play. So let's kind of dig into kind of what you saw from that match up. Well, I thought the, I thought it was going to be a black and blue game, a fun booth fight,

and I think that's what we saw early. And then I think they realized, man, if we can start running

games, many TE stunts, ET stunts, you know, some sloppy dog getting guys and different levels, then we can get, we can actually get to Drake and Maine. I think after a while that wants to start to see the pocket get chewed up a little bit. And then also, you got to get credit to those guys on the back and they were playing things so tightly. Drake kind of had to sit in there a little bit and hold the ball just so, you know, he can, you know, deliver, but nevertheless, man,

I think the way, when you have a deadline, who's athletic, who's stout, who's actually, you know, I think all of them kind of pride themselves at playing, being bullied at their position.

You know, for the office line, I, I've always felt like this, especially when you go against

good all defensive lines, you have to match the defensive line intensity. You make going to it with what you want to do and how you want to run the ball and how you want to protect and slide and all this other stuff. But if you start seeing guys start, you know, revving up their intensity, you as the office line have to be hard and get rid of it. And that means, man, not only a slot protection going for guys ribs or dumping a guy or just playing a little above, after the

whistle to let them know that this is going to be a cake wall. That, that neutralizes a lot of that, because listen, those guys get tired and they don't want to get banging around in it. They just want to find different levels where they can attack, work in the edge and get to quarterback. And so, I've always been to myself, where you see a deadline, get chippy and start doing things

or feeling like they can do whatever you want, you got an up your intensity. And I think that's

one thing that the past struggled with later in that game. Who is the Super Bowl pick for this year? Man, I'm, I'm, I'm going to Cowboys with it and see. I say that. Yeah, I'm all in this. What are you going to do with that? Sorry about that, Ryan? No, yeah. No, we'd love it. Tell her to come back. We want her Super Bowl pick too. Sorry about that. I'm, this is Ryan was still a show. Are you just, what are you doing?

Oh, I'm sorry. Totally a pop-down. My wife's so out of thought. No, like you don't want that pop-down. Like, what do you think you do? Do you think I'm just here talking to a random white man? No, I'm sorry about that. So you're saying Trump's policies that you've come around on. He was saying what? No. Yeah, not, it's a massive bowl pick. I'm going with, I'm all the Cowboys and Charges, man. Cowboys and Charges. Wow. I love this. You're like,

usually people get dangerous on one side. You're really going for it. I think it's, I think Charges do. And I liked the fact that Mike Middain, you stepped into that situation and said, "All right, I'll office the last day healthy." And we get the ball out of your hand a lot faster. We work on your foot mechanics. We get you a run game, a Maureen Hampton's going to be healthy. We can do some things. People forget, and maybe you could back me up on this, Ryan.

Like, Miami, under Mike Middain's, they ran the ball pretty damn well. They weren't, they weren't a bad rushing team. They ran the ball efficiently. So, if you give Justin Herbert who, I know a lot of people's abilities, old foot, but old throw for three, over four in the playoffs, enough is enough. I mean, why do we keep putting this guy on the pedestal? Because the kid has his tough. He's tough. He can deliver the football. There's nothing he can't do

on the football field from the quarterback position in my eyes. So now if you give him a healthy

Office line, an O.

a centric, I think he's a brilliant man. And so, I'm just a fan of what the possibilities can be.

And I think the defense is better, especially on the defensive line. And I just feel like they're due. And I think I actually have the charges winning the division. And so, that's, that's just more, I'm at in the Cowboys, I think this man, Dak is filthy. I actually have Dak as my MVP next year. I think he's going to be that filthy. And with pickings and CD and the whole game, obviously a lot, you know, Christian Park with the beef as the new beef as quarter for the Cowboys.

I think they're going to be a lot better. And so, I know, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm

getting about the Cowboys. I'm getting about the charges. So, that's what I'm writing.

Love it. I'm with you on Herbert. But I don't even want to argue about it anymore. I just, like, okay, fine. It doesn't make sense to people when they throw this, like, yeah, he can throw, I'm 10,000 yards, but can't get it done to the playoffs. I'm like, the man has to shoulder all that to the play. I think last year, we watched his dude pick his self off the map

a million times. I still get the job done late in games. So, I'm, I'm just a fan of the dude

man. And I know some people get annoyed with that because he doesn't produce when, you know, when it's go time, meaning the playoffs. And it is what it is. But I think next year, he's doing, and I think my meeting is going to be a big game changer for the, you know, people Bishop, about Josh Allen's playoffs. They're going to bitch about Herbert. So, that's, it's just kind of what I've learned. I mean, it's, you sit there and you get an argument about it.

We don't need to rehash all of it. But like, let's talk about, maybe, and I'm kind of putting in spot here a little bit. But like, if you look at Herbert last year, 30% of Russia rate, basically, I think it's like 29 points in size in the NFL. All right. So, he loses later. He loses all who are studs. Okay. And then I watched that playoff game gets in England. I'm like, you know, I think one of my things about offensive lines is that I was just so spoiled by watching Brady

every weekend for 20 years that when he knew he wasn't going to win like the protection game, he then adjusted to it, which is like to me the top tier of like quarterbacking where you go, hey, we don't have it today. You know, they've kind of got us, I'm going to have to solve this on my own. And we're going to have to cut off our routes. We're going to have to do all these things. Like, I am not going to have the normal amount of time. So now I'm going to help out my offensive line.

To me, that is like the epitome of are you one of those truly special players. And it's not about throws and completion percentage and touchdowns. It's like, okay, Herbert is not that, you know, very few people are that. And so I wonder if an entire season of going like, I've got no chance with with all of our guys out. And it starts to make you play bad. Like, I don't think he had some good games, like some of these Josh Allen playoff losses. I'm like, they gave a 40 points guys. Like,

what are we doing here with, with Herbert. He didn't have a good game at all. But I think I can see him going. This has been months of this now. And I'm just not comfortable back here. And I wonder, like, what that's like, like, I'm not calling out like your offensive line groups, but have you had maybe a quarterback where you could tell, like, hey, we've got you now, like we're good on the protection, right? Whatever you're dealing with the last month, like, we're going to be better now. And it's

maybe sort of a hard habit for quarterback to get out of when they felt like they've been sped up week after week back there. Yes, it's different, man. I earning a quarterback's trust

is fragile because to your point, sometimes you feel like, man, I know it's been, and that's what,

like, you know, that's the best quarterback I've ever played with. If you feel like we didn't have the best day of front, we weren't having the best day of front. You, he would improv, he would improvise a lot, right? He would look to get out of the pocket. He knew he was going to get hats to get hits. So he would, he would do things as far as, like, take the blow, give a guy, didn't leg,

scrambled, like he knew how to extend the plague. The beauty of him, too, is that the first guy wasn't going

to get him. Exactly. Which is, it was. It just, like, I remember one time in, we were playing Baltimore, and T-Subs literally had him did the right wrap up. And T-Subs is actually, you know, T-Subs is a big man. Like, I mean, it's a real suck that is K-T-Subs. He's funny. Little you had to wrap up. And I watched Ben somehow turned into Dumbi. Like, his body just went limp, and T-Subs slid down his leg. And he picked his leg up out of T-Subs's arms and, like, scrambled out. And I'm like,

only one man that leads do that. I mean, and Ben is not like a, he's not a, a wiry guy. You know, he's not like a Lamar Jackson frame or one of those skinny guys who can give you a little bit, he's a thick boy, a country boy. And so he just had that knack of being able to take a, like, feel a sack and then get out of it, stiff arm or whatever. But as far as earning, you know, earning

his trust, that's why I always think it's pivotal for guys. I think the pictures did a little bit

last night, like letting the boys up front opposed their will with running the ball, right? Like kind of getting it out. Because there's so much we have to see from an office line standpoint,

Safety rotation.

alarm backers. We're looking at pressure on the outside. So sometimes right out the gate, man,

we're looking at so much. It takes us a little bit to kind of just tighten our scope and calm down.

And I think that's what Josh from Daniel's trying to do with Drake May is, all right, as much as you

want to get you comfortable, we get those boys up that new five from Bluetooth. They have past trauma for what happened in Super Bowl, right? So they understand that this boys can get after them. So getting Drake May out the pocket, rollouts, doing different things where you use his athleticism, I felt was more to calm down in the office line. And I think a lot of times for a quarterback, you feel when your office line is comfortable because they're aggressive earlier. They're not

trying to feel things out. They want to be more on their attack and they're communicating a lot.

But if you feel like all right, these boys are using their punching first, they're first at the

attack. Now I can sit in here because I know they're they're more quick to fight instead of feeling. Because you can see when guys are kind of fit themselves through past blocking, right? They're a little soft on the edge, they get out there, set a little soft, they're not explosive right away. So they kind of feel the tempo of the rush. And I think one way to gain the trust of a quarterback, especially early in games, man, is let them boys get up at football. Let them use their will.

Let's get a little mixed direction, which the pitch pitch did in the first half, but they kind of got away with it. But I think for Justin Herbert, just the pivot back, I think a lot of what we saw last year to your point, he used the great word was trauma. You know, I think he just, he showed it so much early in the regular season. And when he got to the playoffs and the things got a little high, he was like, man, I don't know what's going on.

You know, you just kind of all over the place and just, most, it's unfortunate to take the out. All right, let's make you popular with Steelers Radio. Let's run to the AFC and I'm going to go to the teams and you tell me who the Steelers are better than. All of them, Brian. All of them. Like you're going to fit in perfect. They still wonder what happened. Can he pick it in that market? That preseason game, man. Ready, ready, ready, retire is number.

All right, Buffalo. No, you know. All right. All right. We can go away with those New England. Yeah, I did the better. You think that's for the New England? Okay. Yeah. I think, I think our front seven defensively has a chance to be very special, especially with Cam. I mean, Patrick Graham, I defensive coordinator, his goal this season is to have Nick Kirby, TJ Watt, and how I had his husband on the field at the same time. And so if you have three ninjas out there,

only good things is going to happen. Now, second day, we still got a lot to figure out. We're trying a little soft in the second day, especially from injury standpoint. But I think our front seven could be pretty special for sure. Yeah, I was listening to that Cam hayward the other day and he was talking about her big and I'm like, I feel like he's nasty and doesn't get talked about

enough, am I right? Yeah, that's what I'm point like, you know, it's just a very, it's a really

hard thing to keep on top of every team's depth chart. You know, but there are, there's certain guys like Cooper was Green Bay who I remember for me and him, but like, there's certain guys it's in a game. You're like, wait a minute. Like, what's going on over here? And I feel like

her big is always kind of that guy whenever I'm watching a similar game. Yeah, he pops off the

tape and there's, and when you watch him and I had the opportunity to see him a little bit in training camp, he wants to smoke. Like, there's guys who want to go out there and look flashy and kind of you didn't want to get to the quarterback and do their dance. This guy wants it all. He wants to smoke. He's not afraid to be aggressive. He's not afraid to work moves. He's always looking for the edge. His ability to track the football's awesome. I just love his demeanor too. Like, there's a demeanor.

There's an energy that he exudes that I think compliments TJ and Alex. And, you know, he's no

longer kind of this, he's no longer a secret. I think if you put on tape, especially from last year,

man, the way he operates when he's in the game, I think he just pops off the tape too. I'm, I'm excited for him. And I mean, I'm excited for the game overall, but he's when God, because they did pay him in the off season. I'm excited to see how he responds to that. Okay. All right. So better than New England, let's keep going to the divisions here. Cincinnati. I think they're better than Cincinnati. I mean, I know who the Bengals are offensive. We know they

can light up the scummerboard. You're defensively. I know you got Death to Lawrence, and you have Jonathan Allen, and maybe you, you acquire some other guys on the back end. But you just go on the prove it to me. Can Herbert, I mean, excuse me, can Burrow State Healthy? I think office aligned is still a question. I'm just, let's, I, I just get frustrated that the Bengals continue to somehow

Leap from the stealers solo, because we got a 42-year-old quarterback, but we...

and Joe Bird. I can't stay healthy. I think, I think, I still get it. I don't know how Zach Taylor, by the way, continues to not get any scrutiny as far as being in the hot seat. Right? Like to me, this is more of a pivotal year than ever, because, you know, if Joe Bird was hurt, well, there's no excuse for you not to continue to try to win games, because you do supposedly have a defense, right? You have a defense now. And so I think, you know, the pressure should be

on Zach Taylor to get it done with it without Joe Bird. I mean, you have everything you need in miles, or you have an upgrade from everything you've had is way different from what you had in the past. Don't think we need to ask about Cleveland, although I like some of these weapons.

Let me honestly, for Cleveland. Oh, Baltimore. He was always scrappy good.

Oh, you don't put up a fight. There was a stretch there where I think I like their offensive line as much as like anybody, and then it just didn't matter, you know, it was this like really good group, and then you go, okay, and then you look at the defense of numbers last year. You know, like do you realize how nasty the defense was? Yeah. And I would, you know, the lot is a lot of rounding up with some of the young receivers, but I like their tight end. I like to running back

the offensive line to get reworked. And I think, again, everybody's, you're going to have a lot of quarterbacks playing games there. Our picks. And as Pittsburgh, go ahead. And I was going to actually

look quick question about their quarterbacks situation, so you should do it on the show on Watson.

You do, you think the show on Watson was placed on Todd Munkett. Like, did you think Todd Munkett? Yeah, I want to go over Shador, and maybe the powers to be like, no, we're paying the show on Watson. We want to get something out of the show on Watson. I don't think Shador was any good last year, but I think that the owner was like, this fucking guy's playing, like, we're going to give it one more shot to see if there's anything coming back out of for me. What's the whole back

and forth? Like, if that's going to be the end all be all, this is why Cleveland fans are frustrated. If that's where you're going, and listen, write wrongly and different, if you're going to pull the ultimate trump card, like, no, we're playing the show on Watson. He's healthy enough. He's our guy. Then move for it, because from an offensive standpoint, when you know who the guy is, you start to, I mean, as an offensive line, if I know if the show on Watson's my guy, I want to, I want to

as many reps with him as possible from a cadence standpoint. I think what he's looking at, like, there's things we have to start building up so we can be effective when the season starts. Rather than go through this kind of distraction of, like, well, who do you feel more comfortable

without it? Shador Sanders or the show on Watson? Because that's what those guys, that's what

that's what's out of offense alone is being asked. Then I lock a room. What do you feel comfortable with? And it's a distraction. Eliminate the distraction to just say, hey, the show on Watson

going to be your guy, last move forward, and boom, often run. If, if ultimately that's what you

want, you want it to be your foot a bit. Well, the Shador thing brings its own issues, because there's this entire online debate about who he is or who he is. And I think there's a lot of people out there that seem to talk him up, because they're, like, protective of the idea that he can actually be a real guy. And he would ask you a lot more. I'm guilty of that. To me, he has to get a lot better. He has to get a lot better for us to say, like, okay, like, we're, and, you know, looks, there's plenty

of quarterbacks that have these disastrous rookie years. And then they make that jump. I don't know, like, you didn't spend a first round around him. So that's kind of just the way the league works. We're, if you're not spending a first round around him, you're not going to give, like, I was looking at the other day. Zach Wilson is 33 career starts. I couldn't believe that number. Why does he have that many career starts? Because, like, we're going to make sure this guy actually stinks.

We're going for all of them out there and make sure, because we spent this insanely high job. I'll tell you what I'm coming to do. These things. Yeah, right. Exactly. And he's on a roster again, because somebody else had a good grade on him coming out. So unfortunately, for sure, or when you drafted that late, I still can't believe they took Gabriel as high as they did. And then you have the disson part of it where you would think like anybody with any kind of

and look, he's, he's basically proven that he's not ever going to have any remorse. But like,

why would you sit there and go at this fan base when you are arguably the worst transaction in the history of the league? Like, even if you don't believe it, dude, fucking pretend. You know, just understand why. And like, I've been saying now for four years, like, I can't believe he's this bad. And I could use injury, argue against it all these different things. It's been four years me saying basically the same thing over and over again. So I have to give up. I have no expectations

for him. But I can imagine just ownership cutting those checks. However, however, they're timed out and everything that he's done. And then it was fully guaranteed. He's like, hey, guess what?

We got to see, like, he still owes me hours. So I think that's what happened to us. We got to

guess something odd to this dude. Yeah, and I'm delusional enough to think like, what if you like put it together and kind of reminded us of why this happened for six weeks? And does that mean they think they can flip them for, and he sort of asks it just so the owner goes like, oh, man, I was able

To recover this distressed asses.

when the guy thought he was going to a Atlanta for, like, 60 million less. So to the distance of

Sean, when he came up, like, every player wants to be huffed by their families. Yeah, but understand why, well, that's a, I'll leave that one alone. What, why can't he have somebody go,

you just have to pretend you're bummed out about what's happened here? That's all you have to do.

But Ryan, it's, it's a lot more fraid than for us. You know what I mean? When you get in slam, in the media, when you get in slam by the beat ride, is every time there's a person you, you know, you're encounter with somebody in the street is a very like, ugh, like, you're that guy. And I mean, like, nothing's warm or welcoming at the end of that year, human being, like, it hurts. So I can understand, like, man, I've, I've been to multiple injuries. I understand that I haven't

lived up to the paycheck. I understand that I was supposed to be the guy that delivered a brownstone purgatory. I haven't delivered on that. But at the same day, I'm a human being. So I think he was just, he was, he was, he was vulnerable in a moment and laid it out there. I'm telling him, this happened to me one time. I was with the business dealers and I was Friday, you know, you get out of practice. So I had to grab some things and I walked up, I went into a Walmart to grab some

stuff. And I'm going that one at the house and his lady is old lady with a shopping cart. It's, you know, I'm thinking she's passing me as I'm going past her, she rams her shopping cart right into my stuff. So I'm thinking to, you know, the old bed is, you know, can't see nothing. She knows, she was perfectly fine. She looks at me right at my eyes. She goes, are you really alone? And I'm like, yeah, man, she's like, can you please stop holding? I've been watching

you for so long. I think you're great. I think you're, you're tough. I think you do a great job protecting the, the off-size and the home is really a nauseating. Like it's at some point, you know, I would have benched a long time ago just to sing your message. I'm having this conversation with this old lady in the middle of Walmart. And I just say, you're right, man, I'll do a lot later. You know, she's like, you know, you guys, that's got a chance to share, but you know,

it's particularly you need to be better. I have everybody. I think it's you. You just need to be

better. And I'm saying, like, okay, lady, I got the first two points, like grab your flower, keep it pushing, right? But she kind of helped firm. She was holding up to the car. And my big ass, I can't, I can't bulldozer, right? Can't remember. You won the rep though. She didn't get by you. Right. So it's like, I just had to sit there and kind of take this look three minute last thing. And she just started to, you know, skirt along and then I was just saying they're like,

man, there's no longer, there's not a win. Because what was crazy, I had just heard it from my coaches in the building, right? I heard from my coaches. I'm listening to it on sports off radio. I'm here and how I got to be better and stop home. I got to be better. Like, you got to tighten it up, we'll look along. And then the finisher was, you know, Margaret, you know, giving me the business in the Walmart and then how I was just like, okay, all right, it is what it is. This is the

life of a pro. You got to suck it up and get better. So I can understand his level of

frustration to somebody. I understand that, but I think it's an entirely different bucket of his own

doing. And without, you know, but he's, again, he's not thinking about that stuff anymore. He's thinking about him being hurt. He's thinking about like, hey, I just agreed to the contract. And so I understand, but I just thought that last time that we get to hear from him, you're like, man, you're basically like letting the entire city know you want nothing to do with them. And it's like, unfortunately, when you're in the public side of things, like you kind of have to figure

some stuff out. All right, let's keep running through this Pittsburgh's not better than Baltimore,

right? I'm always going to say that, but in Baltimore, you know, I'm going to be biased to the

guy. I mean, this is just even if the roster says different, if you feel like just you mentor, because of what he did with San Diego, and his mindset, how he could revamp the recharge, the Raven's fine, Declan Doyle being a new O.C., there's this expectation that, you know, he's going to kind of be the whisperer to now the new, the margins. And I listen, I also think the margins and there's been a lot of talk of visibility not to run as much. I think he's just getting smart.

Like, dude, I'm getting older. I'm worth more on the field than all the field. I can't take the hits like I used to. And so I'm just going to be, you know, try to be a lot more efficient than the pocket. I think the Ravens still have issues up front. I think they just lose their center, they had, I think their center is starting to just wind down. I have to be wrong with that. But yeah. Yeah. So I think there's, I think there's issues on the office line, there's the deal with,

but we'll see. So I'm, yeah, I'm better. Maybe it's a better reserve a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah, I could call. You've always on it. All right. So how about the AFC South is, is anyone from that

group better than Pittsburgh? Houston, Indie, Jacksonville, Tennessee? Well, you can't say, I mean,

Texans put the boots to us and play off.

I do think we're better than the Colts. I do think we're better than Jack Wars.

Yeah. Well, also one of my missing, uh, Tennessee. I think we could, we're good there. I'm sure, I mean,

I'm just trying to figure out, like right now we've got the Steelers as a three seed. So that means, if you have the biggest knock on their Steelers is the fact that they're age-shaming Aaron Rodgers. That's all of this. We have been shaming, and he's 42 years old, but the man can still win the deal. Do you think, do you think Aaron Rodgers doesn't have the arm anymore? Do you think that? I thought he was bad last year. You said he, what? I thought he was bad last year. I don't,

how did you think he was bad? I think there's, I'm not comparing it to Russell Wilson, but you get a furt, you know, front real seed to that. Russell Wilson, there were certain things that were no longer part of the catalog. And so he was going to try to hack the game into like, I'm not going to beat anybody in the red zone. You know what I mean? Like, there's, there's just things now that I'm not going to be able to do. When Russell Wilson was at his peak,

and I'm not expecting to do the peak at the end of his career, it was just these magical moments, like he would, he would make these things happen. And I felt like last year with Rodgers, especially if you look at the air yard stuff, like he was last, like, I don't think he wants the ball up there or the escape ability isn't there to be expected. This stage of his career post to kill

he's, I, I think there's some throws and some efficiency stuff that kind of tricks you

into thinking he had a good game. And I'd imagine if I were defensive coordinator game planning for it. I'd be like, you know, we don't have to worry about a ton of stuff, because I think he's eliminated some of this stuff from his own game, because he knows that this is risky, like he doesn't want to take this risk anymore. So I, look, it has to be a lot better. It has to be a lot better for the Steelers to be a real container in the A.S.C. because I don't think he was good in 25.

All right. So a couple of things. One, I do agree with you. He doesn't want, he's not taking the hits even more. So you get in the ball out really fast. And his five yard throws and his, you know, quick outs and all that stuff. I totally agree with you in that whenever standpoint. I do think people forget when he landed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, how bad that offense was under Arthur Smith, like, just from a, there was no ecosystem. There was, like, he, he masked a lot of deficiencies.

They had DK. They didn't have a true number two. They thought there was going to be something

out of Jonathan Smith and never worked. And like there were, there were things that just didn't

arrive for the Steelers. So he had to, he had to make a with what he had. I think, let's, I think,

they didn't, you understand, as soon as I was on point, couldn't run the ball unless they had six linemen on the field. You know what I mean? So that hurts you, too. When you're, when you're, when you're big five, can't get it done without bringing on an extra office linemen and they were treating my Washington as an extra office linemen. So they didn't even need to seven guys of front to get, get some type of room game go. So that, that kind of handed them on top of that,

he said it out of his mouth. And I think some of those guys, if you listen to some of the, the clippings, the press clippings, a lot of those guys talked about like, man, they had to grow up from the neck up. You know, Aaron Rodgers sees football from a Ph.D. level. A lot of these guys are still stuck on our highest football. So a lot of those guys had to just be a lot better behind the curtain for us preparing for the game. What it means to be better at their job being more detailed.

He had to grow those guys up and that all happened last year. And, you know, they were counting on Roman Wilson to be a guy. He, he struggled, right? They just couldn't trust them. They were counting on different, you know, they were, they were, they were, they were trusting on Pat Fair enough to be a lot better than he was. He struggled. So they were guys who would just kind of up and down and Rodgers kind of had to really make do what's given with what he had. I

think he's different this year because you do bring a real doubt over them. You do have a microteption as your number two. You have Mount Washington signing back. Fair enough, hopefully can be better next year this year. I think the addition to Jeremy Bernard, the kid they got out of Alabama is going to be money good from. So what are they saying about him? Because he's one of my favorite players in college last year. Everything has advertised given the bowl of watching work. He's

going to guy the first guy's never going to take them down. He can be held in a slot. He's first

guy never takes them down. No, yeah, the first guy never did. And I watched it. I was covering the Steelers bills game and the preseason. I'm literally standing on a sideline. The lawnbacker has a clear beat on him. He's flying right at him. He just sucks to do, just kind of takes the blow and scores the touchdown. So he has that. But I like where the Steelers are at. And I like the fact that, you know, Aaron right now is a spicy Aaron Rod. He's pissed off. There's nothing

he's not willing to say. He does usually so chill. He doesn't have many thoughts on many things. I've noticed it a little bit more. Well, no. But this is, I think he's, I think he's stepping it up a lot. He goes, if I'm going to go out, I'm setting the whole place on fire. You know, I mean, I kind of like that. I like that energy. He's exudent because he's, in he's, I've watched him do a podcast on Kate Cam. Hey, it was podcast. I've seen him on different things. And he goes,

I'm not, I'm not, I love buttoning things up.

that grandfather that Christmas, he's going to tell everybody's business next to the Christmas tree

and everybody's like, well, you know, grandpa, let's quiet. And he's like, no, I'm too old. I'm too old to care. So I'm just going to, I'm going to say what I'm going to say and then how you feel about us how you feel about it. I don't like that. Because it still does need that. They need that kind of chippy spicy. Like it is what it is from get some type energy. And I'm, I'm a fan of, I'm looking forward to subscribing to Aaron Rogers Unsolved Mysteries podcast in a couple of years.

I don't think, but right, I don't think we see him. I think he's gone. I think he's gone.

No way. He needs to be heard from. He loves to see it. That's why he goes on. Okay.

I think he brought, I think he's gone. I think we won't see, I think he's, no, he's out of here. I think he's too opinionated to not want people to hear from him. You, I think he's over. I think this is the reason why he's so quiet. I think he wants to dump it all out on the table, give it to the people. And I think he's off. We won't see him for a while. Into the mountains. Done. Big bearded. Dolly. Dolly. Yep. 3500. Yeah. I can respect that.

I'm not going to ask you about the jets. I'll do it next time. Okay. Cave Club Nick starts week. I like them in the precies, you know, who would look out? Like, he's just, he just perked up a bit. Bruh, I ain't go, I ain't go bullshit. I like them. Some of them I get moved. You know what it is? I liked about them quickly for a kid that, you know? There was a play in the precies and he gets the stealers. He was backed up in the end zone. And there still was a center of the dogs.

He did flinch. Like, he stood in there. He went through his progression. And actually, he hit his third hit his third receiver in the progression. When the one he had the dogs coming out through. And most kids, I mean, that hit, that hit, that hit, that hit, where he's at, they're trying to get out of pocket. They'll do something. Even kill. Just went through it. I was like, beware. Beware. Cave. I like it. Yeah. Look, go back to the August 25 mock draft.

Some places had him go number one overall. You can use that on S&Y. There you go. I will. Kind of Rogers probably had that, but I'll use out keeping it back. Definitely. Just a reminder,

the Bart and Willie Show. Thank you, my friend. That's what's going to get him the vacation house.

You're the man, Willie. We'll talk to you soon. Always a pleasure, brother. Thank you.

Getting you ready for the NFL season with more of our favorite guests, Ted Wynn joins us now from the athletic. His film breakdowns are legendary. He also has some awesome play call ranking stuff where he talks to the opposing side in the NFL. So let's start at least with last night's game.

Okay, and just kind of what you saw. I don't know that you can take a ton from it with Donald

being out. The headline honestly unlike the Seattle side of this is that even warriors out,

the other starting safety's out. But Clark, there's second round from TCU's out. Wolins gone, Bryant's gone, and yet they still shut down this path's offense. This is about roster building. This is about defensive play calling, but that's a really impressive performance against Drake May with that limited options or the limited options in the secondary. Yeah, I mean, my biggest takeaway was is Mike McDonald is at one hell of a defensive coach,

and completely outclass Josh McDaniels and the Patriots again. Like you mentioned, the secondary is a completely different secondary than the one we saw in a Super Bowl because of the injuries. And Nick and Mori, it has such a huge part of what they do. That missing him, I thought it would have a bigger impact. But they were able to keep the explosive plays down. Last season, the Patriots were the most explosive team in the league.

13.6% explosive play rate against the Seahawks in this game. 6% explosive play rate. So they couldn't create explosives. They were trying to get the ball underneath and create yards after catch. They couldn't create any yards after catch as well. I thought tackling would be an

Issue with all those backup DBs in.

yards as soon as a, you know, a tackler got to them. And that was a big issue because their game plan was to get the ball out because of these blitzes. And hopefully a guy breaks a tackle. But nobody broke a tackle in the game. And it was a big issue. And also, the, like, they had past protection issues in the Super Bowl because their scheme was a little too simplistic and might be Donald just blasted it with these, these nickel blitzes. And it was pretty much the same

game plan as seven months ago in the, in the Super Bowl. And it was just a huge issue. I mean, on the interception where he threw the ball to Julian love or Drake made through the ball to Julian love, it was 13 to 14 and he had to keep seven into protection. They had three guys running routes, which is why love was able to fall off and just pick off that ball. So for me, the takeaway is the Patriots just still haven't proven that they can perform against elite defense.

Yeah, that's something you had in one of your preview things, unlike story lines for every single team. Can you put your perspective? What New England face last year? Because we know it was like historically one of these all time easy schedules. But specific to the lack of elite defenses that they played and then what happens when they play some of these top 10 defenses? Yes, so they only played one team that ranked in the top end of points allowed for a drive and that was a Cleveland Browns

in the regular season. And they didn't perform very well against the Browns either. But in the

playoffs, they played four teams that were in the top 10 in that category. And they were basically

what their stats, stats would rank is bottom the league in the regular season. So they became an

offense that was, you know, it was like EPA, like in points per drive, I think they would have been

30 second in the regular season based on their offensive profile through the playoffs. Now the past family would be like, yeah, you mean the the path like getting all the way to the Super Bowl. But I guess I'm kind of staying on this is that there's these alarming numbers against better defenses for the offense. And look, we saw it last night. We saw it throughout the playoffs. And we just didn't see it because they didn't play any of them other than the Cleveland. So keep going with your

point because I just wanted to clarify what some of those numbers were. Yeah. And also, I think it's a personnel issue, which is why they tried to upgrade the wide receiver room with AJ Brown and Romeo Dobbs and Dobbs just couldn't get open yesterday. And we saw what happened to AJ Brown. But it's also a schematic issue. I think Josh McDaniel says a pretty good offensive coordinator. But the protection scheme against really good defensive coordinators that know how to attack it,

that's going to be an issue. And I thought they would have some better answers in, you know, having all this time their pair, but they didn't. So it's something to watch out for when they actually play against these type of defenses in the future. Okay. Let's talk about Buffalo Houston

this weekend. How bad has the run support been for CJ Strauss since he's come to the game?

Yeah. So he's never had a good running game. His entire career in Houston. His rookie year,

they were ranked 25th in rushing success rate in 2024. They were bottom of league 32nd and last year they're ranked 30. So he's never had the help of a run game. He's had some of the best of the worst injury luck when it comes to his receivers. And that's shown in the stats. Wardsharp had a stat for that. And I think it was near bottom of league every single year as well. So he just hasn't had a lot of help. And I think this year they did a really good job of just being

intentional with trying to be a more physical team. They drafted Kale and Rutledge in the first round. He's going to be, I think he's going to play guard. They had him kind of cross training at center as well. But he adds physicality. They traded for David Montgomery who statistically is one of the most efficient runner when it comes to gap scheme type of run. So he's a north and

south guy. So I think they're going to be a better running team. I think that's going to be one of

the biggest questions for the, you know, there has implications on the whole league because if Houston could run the ball, they're a legitimate support contender. Buffalo, what are you looking for for them? Last last, last game they played in Houston. They were able to run the ball. James Cook had 143 yards on the ground. They just couldn't block Will Anderson at the kneel hunter. There's gave Josh Allen a ton of trouble. So running the ball was the way

that they were able to get some offense. But in that game, Jalen Petrie, who I think is one of the best nickel players in the league, didn't play. And I think he adds a lot to that run defense.

They also drafted Kade McDonnell in the second round, which also helps to run defense.

So I, I don't know if they could dominate on the ground like they did in that first game, which really kind of saved them and helped bring them back in the second half. So we'll see how

Josh Allen's, I, Josh Allen's able to form against Houston.

Houston in the last two matchups they played is negative 0.13. But then perspective against other

opponents, other than Texans, his EPA is 0.19 for dropbacks. So he becomes like a very bad quarterback against this Texans defense. Yeah, I guess I'm really more excited about like what this bill's defense is going to look like. You know, like last season's kind of remarkable that Buffalo was probably even in that position. If you think about it, like whether it's, I mean, everybody can complain about injuries. Like we know we like their offensive line. We know we all love Allen.

We don't like their outside weapons in theory. They've added a little bit more to it, right?

Because they go ahead and make the deal for DJ Moore. So I would think like just baseline that they have to be better because you hear felt like the only like really good option that it felt like Josh could depend on you factor in Josh Allen's running and then cook and they were able to kind of like piece it together, kind of like to the point you're talking about there. Defensively, I don't like the secondary. I think the edge guys are a lot of names I recognize, but I don't

feel like it's something that's like a game changer. So I wonder with them switching this over to

Jim Lennard, like if any of this is going to look better or if we're going to be sitting there at the end of the year, like not in love with the team, looking up to them with like 12 wins, going, hey, there are top three seats still in the AFC because that's kind of what like that was not some nasty, awesome team, but yet there was a really good chance when you looked at the rest of the AFC where plenty of people were picking the bills to make it all the way to the Super Bowl,

which I don't think was a ridiculous thing, but it just I guess I felt like I want to like them more and I didn't, and now I don't know what to do with them other than just assume they're going to have 12 wins. Yeah, the defensive issue, I mean, there were times in a league where

I had times in the beginning of the season, they looked like one of the worst defensive

in a league and I think they they found some success just with like creating chaos and just

look like there, it was as a roll of decks of coverage, they're picking from every play because it was a random, but I think that was on purpose, they were just trying to be as unpredictable as possible and they had some success and sometimes they got caught kind of rolling the die a little bit. So I think Jim Leonard understands that and I think Phil have kind of a chaos type of philosophy coming into the season and they'll be a little bit more aggressive up front too. He's

coming from that Denver system where they want their guys to get up field and try to shoot gaps and that sort of deal. I think they're defensive line kind of bips better into that system as well. But I mean, there's a chance that this is a bottom 10 defense, you know, just to make enough upgrades on that side of the ball. Okay, let's talk about your play calling rankings. We've got KC, we've got Denver here. What needs to change with Andy Reed and some of the things that you saw

last year and then obviously NFL coaches talking to you with these these play caller rankings about where the chiefs need to get better. Yeah, with Andy Reed, the sentiment with a ton of the guys I talked to was that he deserves respect for all the things he's done and he's still a great offensive line, but he needs to upgrade his offense like his offense is still kind of doing things that they were doing five years ago with the high passing rate, not adjusting

to the light boxes and two deep safeties. He needs to get under center more and run the ball and create play action and just create more gimmies for Patrick Mahomes. So that's something

that I think will change. I think they kind of signal that with signing Kenneth Walker and bringing

Eric Banyby, Banyby back who worked with Ben Johnson and got a taste of how they put together their running offense, but it needs to change and I think we'll see that this season. But I said that before about Andy Reed, he really loves passing the ball. So we'll see what happens when the bullets fly. Can you hammer home that light box number that you have in your preview like the number of times they've faced light boxes and how terrible the success rate was against it

because it died there. It was the offensive line where the offensive line breaks out a lot better than I think I realized after the season was over. It's obviously a big part of the motivation of bringing in Kenneth Walker being like we need somebody to make some tough yards here, but you have a number there where I didn't realize it was even that bad. It was decided that they were so bad that they refused to go to an or they refused to adapt to the fact that it's like hey they're just

they're taking these throws away and you guys aren't taking opportunity of the matchup of front and this probably both, honestly. So they faced the fourth highest rate of light boxes, 53.5% but they still ranked fifth and cook rate which measures how often teams pass the ball

In neutral situations.

but they're still passing into it at the fifth highest rate in the league which just doesn't

make sense and I know they have patched my homes in any readest a West Coast guy that likes spreading out teams and passing the ball. But at some point you're going to have to do what the defense doesn't you know, doesn't want you to do which is run the ball and just try to create

opportunities and play action and I think they realize that and I think we'll see it this season.

Denver, do you think water addresses their lack of explosive plays? I think it will help out a lot but I was a surprise at how unexplosive the Denver offense was. They ranked 25th in drives in which they were able to create an explosive. So water does help. I think he's a really good complement to Portland Sutton who is kind of that stationary X receiver and waddles that Z slot type that can move around the formation.

He ranked 12th in explosive reception rate last season and he just kind of really fits that archetype that Sean Payton's looking for so I expect a big season out of him. I don't know if the Broncos all of a sudden will be a top 10 explosive team but if they get to 15th that's going to help them out

tremendously and also this will be Bone X's third year in this offense so I think he takes a step

up as well. So I think they just need to be mid tier as far as explosiveness but they can't rank

that in that 25th to 30th range next season. I was alarmed at their lack of explosive plays and I mean when I was reading it I was like wow that was really a lot lower than you'd think and I felt like Nick's had that stretch of like winning all these close games and it felt like there were big plays after big plays like there must have been some game within you know in the NBA you have those last five minutes within five points of each other you know different

clutch game scenarios and all that kind of stuff and it's like well maybe over the course of the game the explosive for low but I wonder if there's a different way to categorize some of the stuff that Nick's was doing when I was still sort of shocked the entire time but the waddle numbers were even higher than I expected. Green Bay Minnesota wise Minnesota favorite in this game. I think Green Bay is a totally different defense without micro Parsons and they're not going to

have micro Parsons in the beginning of season and I think you know the florists defense is obviously going to continue to be a good defense and they were in some close games last year with some of the worst quarterback play in the league last year with JJ McCarthy and no matter what you believe about Kyler Murray he's played like a top 10 quarterback it's certain points of his career and maybe he doesn't reach that top 10 level but if he's mid tier it's such a huge upgrade to

what they had last season that you just expect Minnesota's offense to be better and when you pair that with Brian Flores of what he does defensively I think this is a team that could win 10 plus games so I see why their favorites right now because the Packers are such a different team without micro Parsons and you know Josh Jake missing Josh Jake was a big deal too because he he's such an instrumental factor in the way he broke tackles because the team is not a great

run blocking team that without him I'm curious to see how their run games are going to look or if they even go to the run game as much as they did because Matt Flores was some people say he called a little too many runs last year so maybe it becomes a little bit more pass heavy but the offense definitely needs to make an adjustment without Josh Jake. Yeah I think the spread story too is like if you look on the two deep defensively and that's with Parsons early off there's like

seven guys that are either questionable or out and then two offensive lime and that are questionable so I think that spread has everything to do with just too many people going like look at all these these concerns that you have with some of the green big guys let's talk about some of the

bad teams here Vegas first and foremost tough schedule cousins at the starter what do you expect

with the quarterback decision from the Raiders this year. I think they're going to wait till after the first five games when they just have a killer schedule like they they have the the dolphins first first but after that it's it's like a murder of Ro as far as the type of defense

as they're going to see so I think one you have to prove that your offensive line is good enough

to support a young quarterback because you know there's all this talk about how much the line has improved but the only improvement they really made was adding Tyler Lindobomb and they're counting on coaching to really improve the pass blocking and to cut down on some of those

Pass blocking reps so they have to prove that they're able to run to ball a l...

and protect the quarterback and once they do that then I think they'll they'll start talking about putting Mendosa in but I was really encouraged with what I saw with Fernando Mendosa in the preseason even though his final stat line didn't look good I thought he looked really comfortable under center I thought he was able to go through his reads smoothly and you know you saw the arm and he saw some of the physical talent as far as being to create after I'm going to get his pressure.

Yeah that's that schedule there I mean they've got Miami and they've got New Orleans in there but it feels like it might be a week seven week eight situation where they've got yeah the ram so excuse me they're sure it's going to be a lot better team than people expect to. Yeah then it's KC New England Buffalo rams so I mean I know everybody's kind of going like oh you know they'll have that one but then it's on the road I don't know man Mendosa won the

Heisman won a national championship like on the road and it fell I think he's going to be okay and if it isn't okay that's that's fine too I just can't imagine there's a scenario where like

are they good enough with some of the personnel say competitive to the first half of that

cousin's his batteries health theories back with his play caller like is there's some scenario there where they think like hey we can just have Mendosa take a gap here I don't I would think that's

impossible you I think that's what they wanted early on I think that was kind of a plan because

they talked a lot about how quarterback needs to sit for a year Brady's talked about that but I think one they're probably a little bit more impressed with Mendosa than they thought they were going to be as far as his transition from machakden offense to playing under center and I think Kirk cousin's arm's just just not very good like a lot of those passes in the pre-season these throwing were just floaters so I'm care to see if he could even push them all a little bit you know obviously

he's there mentally as far as running the operation but physically you know he he just does not look

very good who starts first cave club Nick or Carson back I think Carson back because I actually

feel like the jets have have a chance to be a pretty decent offense so I think genome probably hold on to that job for a while but with the with the car lights and jets offense huh

I do I mean I think genosmith played in one of the worst environments a quarterback and play in

last year with the Raiders and you know I think he was at least average with the Seattle Seahawks so I think he could return to that you look at the jet offensive line it could be pretty good our mom meant move their first round pick last year looks like you know a future all pro they have Garrett Wilson I think a donny Mitchell is going to it's going to take a step up and really develop Mason Taylor is a good tight end they have Bree's Hall but my biggest concern is Frank Wright

he just hasn't been a good offense coordinator recently and I'm concerned about whether he could lead a modern offense but as far as talent the jets have what they need to be you know a borderline good offense I think yeah I mean it is kind of crazy when you run through hall Wilson Mitchell Cooper Mason Taylor was sedic backing him up you know this is that's a nice group maybe they're doing

the thing we've always talked about is like build out the rest of it and then go get your quarterback

considering there's still probably going to be bad because of that defense and knowing that like the mixtures of the world are telling me there's maybe six guys that go in the first round like you don't even necessarily have to like sprint to tank the season but the old reverse engineering of bringing in a quarterback with a much more stable situation instead of being so bad that you get to draft the quarterback and then wondering if he can survive those first couple

years while you figure out the rest of it the old as the old line good enough to be possible

I think so I mean they they have to they might have one of the best tackle duels in the league at

then in the day. Membo like I said could be an all-pro, a pro, left tackle Fashano you know he's a good player as well they have some good players on the interior so that this potentially could be a better than average offensive line and when you look at all the skill players to combine with that yeah I mean I really think this jet's offense is going to slip down a little bit before we let you go what was your Super Bowl pick? I think anybody that picks anybody other than

a ram is is a hipster pick I mean they're just so talented that it's it's hard to to look at another team and think they could beat this team on paper. Yeah look I I have no problem usually I would be the guys like let me just pick somebody different because I don't want to do that and I ended up

Having to do the exact same thing so who do you have in play?

open but I'm going to say Texans I think the Texans have a chance to make a run and and when

the AFC the AFC is wide open. I love it you can read Ted Williams stuff on the athletic go for

those defensive play collar rankings and all the offenses that stuff is awesome get Shane Hans still number one McFey number two it's just kind of why I'm like I have friends that argue about how bad Shane a hand is and I just go like I'm sorry but there's just too many people that do this for a living every single day that rave about him whether it's through something like that or just conversations with guys that play the position that I talked to that just go like oh my god

he's he's ridiculous and then I'll get a text about a time out or something and I'm just like all right maybe maybe you got me there and the podcast for people who will check it out just give us a plug for that as well. Yes just win podcasts is a Raiders podcast you can find that on YouTube app on Spotify. All right my man we'll talk to you again soon this season. All right talk to you soon. And now it's time for a special part of today's episode brought to you

by NFL Sunday ticket with NFL Sunday ticket and YouTube TV you get every game every Sunday all in

one place with a magic of multi-view you can curate your own perfect Sunday slate while tracking

every single out-of-market matchup to keep your fantasy team alive to make sure you're ready for kickoff. We locked in on four games you absolutely need to be watching this Sunday and we're going to run through those right now the headliner Buffalo Houston potential AFC conference championship game. Yeah I mean they're in the mix it feels like eight teams are in the mix for this title here. I'm going to see Buffalo's defense be better for me to look at them as a true like favorite in the

AFC maybe some of them you already have them as that obviously with Josh Allen and I want to see CJ Stroud year for. I got it like there's no way he's he's this bad he's not as bad as he

was at the end of the playoffs Houston defense is incredible Houston can never run the football

maybe they've finally addressed that right now they're ad Houston you feel like if you're north of 23 points that's the best you can do against the Texans so that is probably the number one game I'm watching. Number two Denver at Kansas City I want to see if Kansas City has any answer to the way defenses have been playing against them and if this Kenneth Walker investment is actually going to pay off not just in production but decided to go with some more run calls and

ease up the load on Patrick Mahomes coming back from this knee injury on the other side. I like Denver's personal maybe as much as anyone not named the LA Rams and is it going to be a conversation about botanics half of the season where it's like hey some of you guys hand up half to stop wondering like if that floor is that much lower than some of these other dudes because they put together really nice run and who knows they probably playing in the Super Bowl if next were available

against New England and the final game that I'm locking into here well I got two more to go with I want to see what Aaron Rogers looks like for Pittsburgh at home against Atlanta they should be able win that game with their defense alone but is there anything is there a couple series there or it looks like Rogers and maybe it's just going to be fresher because it's week one so you can't make too many assumptions but it just physically needs to look a little bit better than it did last year

and I can't wait to see Green Bay in Minnesota Green Bay a little banged up already going in a week one that's a tough spot can Kyler Murray look anything like that guy for about two years there is one where he felt like he was actually carrying that football team terrific weapons there for Minnesota as well a healthy Kyler you know maybe we're all getting the NSC North here wrong because it feels like all these teams are kind of in it at least in their best case scenarios whether

it's Green Bay Chicago Detroit or the Vikings you know the Vikings defense is going to show up you know they're going to blitz like crazy if Kyler's healthy which I don't expect him to be for an entire season that changes the conversation in that division that's the beauty of multi-view you're not just watching the games anymore you're building your own perfect NFL Sunday lineup and right now new users can get NFL Sunday ticket for eight payments of just

you know what's funny is you may not remember this because you've done a million interviews

we had you in studio once at ESPN and I asked you and I wasn't doing it to prove a point or like I got your question I was like do you know the heavyweight champion is right now and you were like I don't and it was kind of proving a point about boxing and where it's been

and I know that you've used for your first love was boxing and now you've been into this for a

little bit of time do you think you're going to be able to fix this sport the way you want to

I'll tell you this I've I've I was dreading even the thought of getting invol...

and now six months in I mean I'm having a good time I'm actually having fun with this and what surprised you I don't know why this surprised me but how unsophisticated all these guys that are on the business side of this thing are it's fucking rinky dank man rinky dank every one of these guys are rinky dank guys

and I don't know why I didn't see that comment a why I didn't expect that and that's why

the sport so now stop so you're time in now being exposed this do you do you look at it as easy or fix than maybe you thought oh yeah definitely definitely yeah now I see who the problem is I mean I used to you know I used to believe that the fighters will probably the problem you know fighters on the problem which is actually fascinating to me like you could get boxing you see these big events going on all this stuff you know as soon as HBO went away because

HBO was running everything these guys are all I mean they're like they're like guys that put on your local carnival or something I mean it's just it's so unsophisticated and so bad at what they do it sounds like what you're telling me is like well look I think I've known you well enough at least from afar that you have this confidence you have the resume to back your confidence everything else but it is there a massive advantage to like streamlining this and the way

you've been able to do it in the UFC where it just felt like it was a free for all in boxing now for decades well if you look now I mean if you look at what we've done was do for boxing all these undefeated guys are fighting undefeated guys you know it's just the sport has been

run the same way for the last hundred years and I always call it a going out of business sale

every time these guys have a fight they try to snatch up as much money as they can and then they run and hide for a year and then they come back and and and snatch up as money as much money as they can they don't build anything when is the last time you saw something that generated trillions of dollars of revenue or more and at the end of the day there's nothing there nothing

exists boxing it's fascinating I remember years ago like a VC firm a new kid that works

so he wasn't like the decision maker but he was digging around there and he's like this thing is ridiculous and it's exactly your point it's like there's no stable part of this thing that actually still generates all this revenue and all this revenue internationally and yet it can't seem to ever figure out like what business exists that's this profitable but there's not like any

central thing nothing that I know of I mean never I know of ever plus at the end of the day if you

look at all these guys are all crammed onto one network streaming service right now right nobody wants to be in business with these guys anymore it's just it you know the the model is so broken and so many people from casinos to networks to sponsors and the fans have been screwed for so long that it's finally starting to and plus has become a very European sport not an American sport anymore no and I I hope for a day because of how much I love to sport growing up I hope for a day where

the heavyweight champs are names that I'm like oh yeah I do remember that guy and I'll be honest

to be right now when I look at this morning before we did this I'm like this three did three names I can't pronounce and I think I've heard of one of the other guys let's talk about the UFC the heavyweight division feels like it is it is look the cereal gone when it gets correct I know he's coming up in weight but what it gone show you on what he can do kind of long term

same next two years in this division yeah I mean cereal has always been you know right the the

John Jones thing is just is just crazy and you know but John Jones and you know when you think about the fight with him in Francis it doesn't go for that on bar he wins that fight you know he's always just sort of been right there and he's a super talented guy and we'll see how this whole thing plays out you got uh well though Cortez the Costa you got uh Josh Hoke it gone and then aspenal uh whenever he heals up yeah Hoke it was was vocal after the gone fight

Where it was like hey this shouldn't be a parara rematch or everything do you...

don't like what the fighter is saying do you like fighters being that vocal because it does bring more attention to them as a character and even the sport well it depends when you say how vocal the dumb shit that he said on the on the lawn of the White House uh no but uh you know free speech and I don't police what guy said and I don't love whatever everybody says all the time that's

it's a country where I wasn't even asking about that I think it was not saying all those are like

shut up but I mean specific to like the fight when you ask me the question about Josh Hoke it and

being vocal I mean it's the first thing I have to address you know it's because of so

absolutely stupid and you know but no guys coming out saying hey he shouldn't get this or I shouldn't listen get out there tell what do you want who are you what do you want what's next and uh you know make other people jump on on board with you. Gachi's run this year the patty fights all timer to pour you the favorite and you know you're watching that fight and you're going like which way is this going to go? Anakin's told me two like years and years ago and I love to ask you

guys this like hey everybody's tough but like who's a real tough guy and Gachi was the first name that he came up with did you think he still had this in him? Yeah I mean listen he's got that when you have the power that he has and you take all the things that that's surrounded that fight him being such a big underdog him coming in as a you know as not originally the main event and then everybody goes oh they put Justin Gachi and Justin Gachi's going to get killed he's a

five to one underdog and on the White House lawn on the 250th birthday of America I mean these are the type of things that certain guys rise to the occasion and that was one of those nights

I mean if you wrote this movie first of all the storm is coming to hit us we're getting hit

by this storm it's 100% happening the planes that were doing the flyover were already on their way back to the base not happening we got to dump a bunch of the stuff that we spent millions of dollars producing all the all the stuff you know about the history of America a whole show is about to be completely different than it was and then all of a sudden the storm breaks in half goes around the White House and he lives then the card plays out the way that it does and then

the main event happens it's just if you wrote this in a in a movie script it would be the biggest crock of shit of all time but it actually happened and reality is better than anything you could ever write do you think that you'll do say something in Minnesota for Tim Walls to even things out and do like you get away house so oh you have an open mind how about you know with Gachi here like this is kind of who he is you know even if there was a couple fights and like you know how it works

where it's like sometimes it's over quick and it's usually the fighters the last to know that it's over how often you surprise when it feels like a fighter's kind of on the back of their career how often do you think you yourself or surprise being around these guys to see maybe not necessarily gay cheap but how often it happens to you because I imagine you have unbelievable like reads and

access on like this guy might be toast yeah well I think you see it in in all combat sports

maybe all sports too but I focus more on combat sports like yeah this guy's career is definitely winding down and and it becomes more of a what else is their left to prove it's obviously the

money the money is always going to be the you know the driving factor it's hard to walk it

two things that's hard to walk away from number one guys like you and I will never understand this or no but to walk out of a tunnel with 20,000 people going crazy and you know you get into the octagon and you know all that type of stuff that happens in the sport and then the money you know it's hard to walk away from so you know we have to look and say you know what's left what more is there to prove for this guy what about you do you is there's something else after this

White House success and I think you're cool something like I'm so happy to do it never want to do it again

is there something for you this white whale of like you know what I would love to do I could do one big thing here what would that be hmm I don't know yet I it hasn't it hasn't come come to me yet but

Craig Worshari who is my head of production who pulls off the sphere and you ...

came to me with a with a really great idea that we're working on right now he's actually flying back right now from what we're working on he's been out there for four days stand if we can get some flight trackers on him picture out these this is a broader thing and I want

to turn this into a little bit of a conversation here you know you invest in the UFC I think the number was

what two million you can correct any of these numbers of some of the stuff and then years later

with your partners it's a four billion dollar sale I know you still have a stake there's pal I think the cool thing for you is like we see this with these NBA teams as they sell and then they're like oh don't worry like the other people are going to stay in charge a little bit and then it's like once everything happens it's like guess what's not going to happen you were a big part of the value of the UFC too so you've been able to stay in this position on top of the stake that you still have

when you see these astronomical numbers associated with the lakeers of the seahawks for over nine billion recently the reaction that I see the most of is like okay we're hitting the top here like this is not sustainable and then sometimes I wonder if it just means that these things were so incredibly undervalued that we may just be at the cusp of even more astronomical prices you're

thought on that I also think that that coming out of COVID we we didn't realize how important

sports are in our life and totally they were all gone I mean everybody was freaking out I mean I would have watched golf during freaking you know COVID it just sports are such a huge part of our life for everybody even people who don't think that they are and I don't disagree with that I mean

if you look at hey look at the Celtics the Celtics sold for like six billion last year and now these

teams the Vegas team the the timber wolves the the the the lakeers I mean what are the Celtics work I mean so if they sold for six billion they gotta be worth 10 now right yeah I mean the values up four billion and then the lakeers eight months ago go up two and a half billion and eight months okay so what does that tell you then like we're getting close to a point that isn't sustainable or that such a great question I've been talking about this for three days with my guys

now you're dead on and then are he's like if the lakeers are worth 12 and a half billion the UFC's worth 15 billion do you regret selling I'm still in yeah right you still haven't done nice the steak I was looking at it this morning but like to think about a Celtics part of it when wick in that group bought it in 2002 and I just moved back to Boston they bought

they're controlling interest for 360 million people laughed at them because they didn't own the

building because the Jacobs and the Bruins owned the building they laughed at them they sell it for six and when the lakeers go for 10 million and then just over a year later go for 12 and a half billion

you know the Denver Broncos sold for four point six five billion four years ago I think you

could argue even though Seahawks just came off a Super Bowl is a better franchise than Seattle and Seattle goes for nine point six is it is it because private equity doesn't have anywhere else to put this or do we look at like the rules and go hey everything is in your favor the NBA ratings don't even have to go up they just have to exist and it's still a great product because people are watching live sports the CBA guarantees you that your employment is only going to

cost this percentage of of whatever your revenue is and so even if it's an operating thing year to year your guarantee is on these appreciations or maybe it's just private equity going these deals are so massive now we're the only people who can do it and we might as well get into that business because it's it's far less risky than some of these other obviously like a million different options you can get into I'm just I want you you know I know you've been talking

about it for a couple days but I don't have an answer here's the most interesting part here here's what you're leaving out so what's going to go on with with with with the rights to the or the first of all the monster in the in the in the whole conversation here is the NFL right so NFL content is so good and like everybody's geeking out right now because football season's back and you know everything's excited and and I've been saying this now for the last a couple months like oh in my world

in the combat sports world none of the none of these people are my competitors that they're we are not the same okay we're not even remotely close to being the same I my competition is the NFL major league baseball the NBA and the NHL so we talk about what these what these franchises selling for you know there's going to be a battle here over the next you know five six seven years

Over the rights you know who's going to pay what and who's going to emerge as...

used to have Fox CBS NBC ABC ESPN you know now you got the Netflix to YouTube's the Paramount's the you know the the Disney's and and who's going to win in this whole you know when I grew up

that was channel 3 channel 5 channel 8 channel 13 I think in the next 10 years that's going to

exist again but on a global level like the whole world will be watching these networks so but through the streaming through the streaming companies or right something going yeah okay streaming companies are going to be you know the next big networks YouTube you know list goes on and on so a lot's going to change in the next seven years so for these franchises that are all you know

you're talking about multiple franchises going for you know anywhere from six to 14 billion dollars

you know and and they got they they got to get fed who's paying the rights fees on this and I believe I don't know if this is true but I absolutely know this is true when we did our deal at Paramount for eight billion dollars there was a meeting at the NFL and they were like there was fucking eight billion dollars out there and we didn't get it right we'll put games on on Tuesday Wednesday that's happening by the way that that will happen I don't know I don't know when it'll be in our lifetime

but NFL season is going to have NFL on every fucking night soon it's happening very soon in our lifetime and you know and the NFL is a great product you know it's not global but you know

what's today the Rams are playing tonight in Australia you know they're pushing hard

to try to go global I just don't know how it works globally I think for for people Australia

like oh and NFL game let's let's try to check it out they don't care about any of the teams that are over that anger up Washington they have no investment in you know who wins or loses it's it's a tough one way different than fighting fighting works everywhere but yeah the NFL is an absolute powerhouse okay but you brought a good point on your Paramount deal because you're right like people in the NFL on the business side who do these right steals work again there was

something I don't have it like work for word here but it was almost like hey do you want to go

back and revisit this whole thing and their network partners are like hey we get it but like will

wait out the rest of the deal and then kind of see what we're at and I think for you the beauty in this was Paramount's like we need a dance partner you know like for somebody he's like who is this going to be and I've granted the NBA the NFL even baseball to some degrees kind of chopped up the product and been like if we can just get all this money by putting in all these different places does that feel less long term than just having kind of like the one streaming option

that you're obviously your product is more heavily favorite towards well I know exactly what Paramount needs for me and you know and I'm one of those partners that will grind and work over the next seven years to deliver what I need to deliver to them I mean any of my partners that I've been from Fox the SPN to Spike TV in the early days but there's so much more to it than just what are these things selling for the question is what can you get for rights fees once you do

yeah because I maybe the correction that people have argued but again I remember being all the SPN all the years like there was a NBA deal that Skipper did in the teens and he get killed he got killed for it and then the next deal was triple with that deal was right and then this most recent deal you know people looking to be like I can't believe the NBA got that much maybe the NBA got that much and now the NFL's like I can't believe they got that much so that

means that we're worth all of this stuff and granted this contracts and you can renew this stuff and tear it all up and do it all over again does your data show you that this is still like in under make you might be a little motivated to answer this a certain way but that the live rights thing we still aren't close to understanding what the value can be of these things especially with your product being so international yeah you know that's true yeah and your job as a

league is to keep getting younger you have to keep getting younger and figuring out how to get younger

there there there's so much more to this than just what does the you know what what what one of the franchise sell for so I mean if I ask you like hey what would you rather have like did you think you'd ever want to own part of a sports franchise no why not well most of them don't make money there's too much bullshit you know involved I like taking niche sports that nobody believes it and build them into power houses that's what I like it but you did that and it's funny

You're still doing it I mean me and the fatigue is on the company called thro...

on SLS gate leave neglect of circus and power slap did you ever think it would be this in

25 years ago you don't ever I mean we we believe in the product but you don't know

at what level like you know you don't see a lot of this coming but then once you get in you start

Ryan and start real I mean when we when we bought the UFC we'd never put on a production before

you know I didn't know anything about production but we scare no what I did know because as a fan what did I want to see you know so I went through you know 10 years of just crazy shit with you know hiring firing trying new things you know you're always working on your production and you're always trying to evolve and the thing that's been really good to my business is technology you know the better technology gets I'm always diving in

to try to be first or you know trying to make the fan experience better Ryan Garcia Connor Van Paramel plus Noche USC part of Dana's boxing promotion and we should

luck with it and try to fight and we'll see you on the road at some point next in thanks thanks.

something for everyone when it comes to recess now we've been talking about this product I've been

think about this product longer I've been talking about it because it was always something where I knew

if I was going to get a reward it always felt like a revolver on recess peanut butter cups and it was great doing this too because I had to film some material so I got to go outside and eat peanut butter cups and I don't know that video went absolutely bananas viral from what I've heard about on the message boards but the funny thing about it is they sent me all this product and it was my birthday actually a while ago but look I wouldn't have meal anything to anyone in my

family in my 20s but in this case my father sent me a present for my birthday and guess what was in the package? Reese's peanut butter cups and I hit him up I said we just did an ad with these and he goes yeah that's like the one thing I would let you have growing up and I was like in look I'm all grown up now and you're still let me have him because it is the ultimate combination like a father and son reminiscing over chocolate and peanut butter goodness like Brady to Montana

which doesn't make any sense but imagine if they played together Reese's the official candy partner of bar stool sports go get Reese's wherever you shop you want details bye I drive a Ferrari 355 cabbie LA what's up I have a ridiculous house in the south fork I have every toy you can possibly imagine I'm best of all kids I am liquid so now you know what's possible let me tell you what's required life advice life advice [email protected] we'll get to some emails

we have some nice follow ups from previous emails but it appears Kyle is already in Johnny season he switched off the path jersey for red storm hat I know that people were excited to see the

video posted I don't think we should stop doing that I think we should do Kyle recaps every week

for the paths from the main page no way out there he was nervous man he it was like 12 for 30 eastern time and I was like in bed and I well yeah no you're kind of hot you're kind of hyped up the sleeper at a higher well you know I was literally in bed I was like I can't my wife is sleeping

all right so I leave the room and then I watch it like this is incredible is everything we

want it to be and then I don't like it I'm gonna send another one then he sends another one and then face time and then cav our social guy face time because we weren't sure which one we were supposed to post you weren't invited Ryan as that gets you just didn't pick up yeah I was at a jazz thing

So we worked through which one we were gonna post last night I do think we pi...

one so that's good yeah that's fun the yesterday was a bummer for a couple reasons the first bar my

regular bar then I go to shots he's showed out the I we get there I'm like worried about getting

seats and the you know she sees me walking with the jerseys on my brother's got a teddy jersey on and she's just like I tell you boys right now he's still no no 54 oh Russki and she goes I'll tell you boys right now I'm not staying open till like to the end of this game I got kids I was like god damn really so we're making a plan and half time I call the sports bar it's not too far away I'm like hey are you guys staying open to the end of the game like of course we go there

no one's out for this game they're like you know put and chairs up already that was like a wuff full quarter left and my wife's like gosh he's like waiting for you to leave because I'm okay well she's like she's waiting for you to leave and then she goes yeah I am it was like holy shit so then we walked to the pool hall which is right by there was like these people have got to be open and I finished the so three different bars to get through this game just to lose

like that and then yes we get to the we get to wait so are you to blame for the five change in the fourth quarter it's as possible because now we're in the pool hall I'm bummed out nobody wants me to watch this game and three picks boo boo boo I'm sure this is fucking crazy so so what do we do how do we sort this out do we send out the red alert to pick pick keepsy

and say we need a home home base for college I think it was no I think it was I mean Sunday was

always Sunday but now it's Wednesday I don't know maybe it's because I thought like Super Bowl

rematch this was supposed to be a decent game thought would be people would be jazz up about it but it's like Wednesday the kids went back to school on Tuesday you know the NFL ratings mafia that's not it is NFL King it's three places closing two places closer but they did that for Patre's nicks yeah no they were I mean it was not a world cup tell you that right now yeah four days away from the start of the NBA season by the way

anyway I think it was just it was a we a walky start this is what you get when you start start and shit on Wednesday instead of Tuesday is I think this is like you know you win that game everyone's there everybody's right I want to help me years we are from like celebrate

4th of July with Vikings Titans week zero like will the NFL try I think the NFL is capable

literally anything yeah nothing's an eye wonder yeah so I was reading about Roger Giddell's

one dollar salary during the work stoppage the other day and I was like never when people thought

that was real so I I may even have a segment on that it's something yeah I'm waiting for the NFL to turn into that like time Lord bro who's just like we're actually gonna have a season within this season you got one season we got two seasons at the same time right week one of NFL NFL season one B I mean even try wingo would be like an august going yeah this is a lot of football all right we have some follow-ups which I think are worth revisiting on the PSI guy you may

remember him is 19 beaches okay forget uh appreciate three good a good laugh might be boring update but I dropped the link to the pot in the group discord and got a few key points to hit a couple people heard six two rather than my six two fifteen listed so got a couple hard inquiries there um yeah there is a dash my bad it's better than the other way around friends tie that slot though yeah one ten right um although that really would be even worse I guess if

you think about it very high approval rating of Ryan reading fucking that Gigi I end which is common vernacular amongst the group not solely owned by the original offer so would love if that becomes a mainstay I don't know if I can do it but I love doing it that day ten sound yeah it wasn't but I was trying for the audience right like I didn't want the audience to be like if you just get the word wrong or something then it was like no we're

there was an emphasis on that because of how rare that you suggest this is these are all bullet points by the way um 19 BJs is now a new it's now a new lure of the group whenever the group has mentioned yeah yeah some members may already be using it so basically they're pricing everything that way now from this moment how much do I owe you for the beer you're exactly should I venmo you actually what other member did mention they also don't have a ps5 so now friendships are

Ruined not really the wife of the offer really enjoyed you guys roasting me f...

availability overall I don't think I will take the offer up I'm pretty locked into my two three

game rotation which is mostly college football dynasty dominated right now so seri wants in my brother

would love to harass him to play his game so we can advance who was that was kind of nasty right?

yeah it happens you got a couple of track lords that tie things up it's a bummer no offense was meant to seri or any other dads out there who would kill for an hour to a gaming a night wife works very early in the morning so she's a bit shortly after kiddo so my nights are pretty open after nine p.m. kind of sounds like this family thing is not affecting your game window set out all at all can you imagine how many husbands are out there you'll like imagine if everybody else

just went to bed at nine nine we're allowed because I imagine some of you were like hey when

when the chief of the house shuts it down like it's expected that I got to get in there it's like

don't you get sick of cuddling after a few years but this guy's living he's got like a three hour yeah that guy's has multiple day or one day yeah let's take his day starts right now thanks again for the read and the advice but I've ever changed my mind I'll shoot my friend the let me get that text per tile okay um so what do we think about a follow up on serruti's 52 week low moment on the serruti zest email oh another follow up is there anything else

to be said it's from the guy oh wow we think we owe him that we've let's have literally everyone else in the country on it so we should we should hear the guy by the way I think even if that was a 52 week low for serruti and some of the feedback that we got on his concern with the sister dating the brother-in-law I think after market the recovery the amount of shit that you took then the recovery people bought that day back yeah they bought that yeah 100% yeah these dips aren't

gonna buy themselves yeah hey guys um pretty crazy what my family predicament did to the pod love all the advice really helped me out kind of the chase I went and talked to my sister she was I was really cool about it apparently you're gonna be so far I was really cool about it said I didn't have a problem with her seeing again I think we used the names Emily and Brad here with her seeing Brad my wife's brother but told her a serruti pointed out that if it gets too serious

they break things off that would make gatherings a little weird at least for a while she said she and Brad had already talked this through and if they break things off they'll be as normal as possible in the future oh great well then I guess everything's good to be prepared we don't need a problem if we before we got things like so many times yeah you can have this you keep your stuff I'll keep mine imagine dating somebody be like hey you want to make a pact like after two years

of like heavy intense emotional investment in each other and then if somebody does something sort of wrong and ends this whole thing that will just be totally cool with each other yeah that sounds like a great idea let's do that um then I gave Brad a call and told

him basically the same thing then my wife and I went out with Brad and Emily to dinner last

week and all four of us sat down to start laughing for a good minute oh sounds like somebody had a good time out socially they told us the story then first getting together by accident one night by accident and then going out for coffee the next morning they didn't think it was ever going to get

serious so that's why they didn't tell my wife and I now apparently it's pretty serious um

Brad made some Italian jokes at my expense thanks for not getting someone to whack me when you found out so the big real be it Thanksgiving this year big joint family get together and they'll be telling everybody should be fun thanks to the advice okay let us know how Thanksgiving goes yeah I mean like I'm not here to poo poo love like if you let me tell you a great half of it you know I don't know why those those words are funny to you yeah

this works out well I hope it works out for you the secrecy stuff is gone right they're about the hard launch on a holiday I mean it's gonna be in some you know some photo albums all right yeah I mean the family like how do you think your families would react to this news my older people just be sick that I say stuff do sing anyone to anyone yeah that's right I feel like what what what the long pack no but we're just gonna I think the older

people would have said something out loud I think some of the middle-aged people would have been like you know yeah in the other room on the you know on the grill or something being like what the fuck is this and then I think the younger people would be like screw it from the rooftop

man like I think that's how my my family would go right I got a couple great ons that would definitely

say something inappropriate and yeah this is not right yeah yeah but what you said and they're Italians so you know what maybe there's something there I would know this but if we have a listener who's like late seventies and you're that person that just lets it fly can you email us and tell

Us what goes when does that like lubricant type thing happened we just go yea...

right and I'm here kind of errods like I'm just gonna must be heard by the way what's your vote on my argument with really close about errodgers disappearing versus me saying he needs to be heard really interesting um I think I was really he's kind of yeah like he does the ayahuasca things goes off the grid so I think I have all he's a quarterback though I think when he's not a quarterback I'm not sure it's gonna you have the same need I have a hard time believing we're just

never gonna hear again though I think I think there is some truth to what you said Ryan he just is a

I need to be heard guy and what that will be you know it's gonna be run over VP at some point you know at some point maybe you know he just coughs up all the sudden he's in politics wouldn't be surprised I'm telling you when you are asked what book you're reading and you tell everyone you're reading a book about physics you desperately want everyone to know you're reading a book about physics

that is a massive tell I think you should get credit for reading a book about physics I would want you

to know if I am right but you don't I remember who's on the show and it's like oh what are you reading it's like oh well I'm reading uh it's book on physics that is somebody that wants

everyone to know what he's thinking and I don't think what was that disappears what book was

wrong reading the upside down father that he that was what he was sitting at the chair was that what what what what somebody else I was favorite part was he was like oh it's so many all of it yeah it's so much is just all of it but at least some run like you know the front he at least he is himself right in that way no like like Aaron like would try to kind of I don't know hide that be cool with what the front is like a little bit corny like it's just who he is whereas

like I think Aaron thinks he's like kind of the coolest guy and he's also kind of corny and listen I'm corny too like it happens is what it is but you don't know your thing but you're making

your very point here because I think LeBron's had like enough goofy moments were like maybe his

closest friends are given him shit about the godfather book but then like none of us really know

what to do with it like nobody in the room is gonna go you can't point to one part of the godfather you like you know and then I think wasn't the bookmark in different places and stuff and again he's doing that or it's like oh far down to eight one yeah this playoff series he's reading about the moth it well with you oh they just an all black for a funeral for the series too like that kind of shit it's very performed if he's a very performative guy I think that's kind of unavoidable

when you're a specialist he is and you've been in the spotlight since like 13 years old but oh was the Malcolm X on a biography well then yeah he's had multiple books okay godfather one there I think there was an Italian reporter that asked him in the media availability afterwards and be like hey what was your favorite part and he was like he couldn't name one the Italians was the Malcolm X thing also like look this up I did just isn't Malcolm X one was during the bubble during the the playoffs

and 20 that's the one I think I'm thinking of or he's sitting in that chair and they I'm pretty sure

that's it okay now I got to figure out what's going on with the godfather yeah right okay yeah the godfather like there's another one with the bron too that I thought was really telling is that when McVey recited a bunch of plays and then everybody freaked out like oh my god McVey knew where every one of these plays were LeBron very shortly thereafter did the exact same thing when he wasn't asked but he like knew he was gonna go I'm gonna do the same thing because I want to prove

that I'm like a smart as McVey is or look at all of this love that McVey got because it was like he was able to recite all these plays in a row not that long after that LeBron did the exact same thing without kind of like he didn't have to answer that way but he was gonna like prove point there he also put on a hand brace after they lost the words which what's he but don't forget he says Christ we've got to read an email it's all right we've got to read an email we've got to read

an email yeah Rod thank you for having us back I actually have more feedback so we're going to save him we're going to save him all right so auto shop oh what happened here did he send us another email no same email all right auto shop auto repair shop employee threatened to shoot me oh tires love the pod have been a listener since as you get in rest of the days 34 years old five nine one forty going for lean muscle can't carry too much bulk around on this small

of the frame I love it man no gym stats but I swim 12 thousand yards a week and try to get a couple sessions a yogi and as well here's a situation there's an auto repair shop

On a street nearby apartment in Chicago they routinely park cars they're repa...

picture attached I've emailed local government leader this car is parked just right in the front of

the shop on the LA my name right in LA this is like part of the course I just wouldn't even go down that street

it's terrible I've emailed local government leaders and shops landlord to get them to stop they

haven't this has gone up for years finally one day as I was walking by I saw cars parked again

on the sidewalk so I went to the shop oh he just went in there man the employee behind the counter said to me can I help you my response was yeah can you stop parking cars like that inside walk as I pointed to the car on the sidewalk walk is capitalized that employee and another one mail 3040s then said oh you're the guy complaining to the alderman and told me to mind your own business and there's no room in their parking lots of the sidewalk was only option to park cars I told them

it was my business as I live a block away I told them the sidewalk was the public way and it's not to be used for their own private business they told me they were taxpayers the people could still walk through so there's no problem I would push back a bit unlike taxpayers doesn't mean you get to do whatever the fuck you want doesn't mean you can yell at cops I pay your salary right away

yeah yeah I pay your salary you know what good point here's what we're gonna get out of here

all right yeah I told them in overflow parking lots somewhere nearby not obstruct the public way well that probably wasn't gonna they told me to leave the store as I was not buying any good services they also they also told me to call good year their corporate owner or the police or the city most concernally as I was leaving one employee told me that people who did not mind their own business in Chicago quote gets shot oh I don't think totally a threat I don't think the

higher up to corporate would love that part but is this the biggest problem in the city no does it annoy me as a local resident property owner very much so yes do I want to face the solace corporation abusing the public for their own private profits no remember folks is a side walk on a side park my question is do I give the fight continuing fighting the good fight and risk

getting shot over that guy's not gonna shoot you after he threatened to I don't think I think it's

probably good practice to not challenge people yeah that's saying I'm gonna shoot but I'm kind of with you Kyle I don't think he's I don't think any of his get shot here now I kind of wish I hadn't named the name brand because he knows that there's a tire thing at some point so let's like absolve anyone from anything it's this is this is the local affiliate making local affiliate decisions you know you can do like you just I mean it's kind of like a full Karen route but you know just

start spamming google reviews and just get your buddies involved as well just like well you gotta make something you gotta make it happen because like that's like what's there I can they're clearly nothing is working they're not gonna do anything I don't know if they're gonna do nobody's told these cars nobody's told these cars though huh like they he hasn't gone that route other than just sending a couple emails like I'm not sure you know how it goes like it's just something that whoever's whatever

it's like they're just kind of letting them do it and they've been letting them do it for a while right so it's they know they're gonna get away with it um is it I ask you this like it's I get your point

you don't have anything other like anything else your life is going on it's probably more important

than this I'm not critical like if you like your name doesn't really just kind of go around it

right you're gonna say you're in telling me if somebody was parking like neary your house and Manhattan Beach is parking on the on the sidewalk you would get your way out of what happens in Manhattan Beach I am but it's not basically the entire parking structure of Manhattan Beach right but it's not just a random higher shop there's people it's people I trust me I've tried to find parking in Manhattan Beach and it's the worst thing in the world I'm gonna start in the host of market

in the wall over over um jazio Elizabeth uh you that would piss you off like that don't act like that wouldn't piss you off if like if like some business was just like abusing the sidewalks in your neighborhood like I think that's yeah but I know I think there's I could sure okay like accurate I'm I'm with you on this but I also think I know myself well enough of being like you have a lot of other stuff going on and you're gonna spend a ton of time on this you're gonna

come home and hack the plan together and right how am I gonna right you and I get you about enough things that don't matter where I feel like I feel like that's just you and I you just call me and tell me this fucking guy is park the sidewalk and that's all you would do look there's a guy across the street has alarms sent to his alarm is he I don't think he lives there and it's set to the most sensitive like if if still going on her if postmate shows up the alarm goes off and there's

a pre-recorded message move your car please move your car Uber came to pick me up last night to go to the jaz concert another reference and uh the alarm went off and then the automated thing him and I tried to talk to him one time about it I moved in here was like hey I'm new neighbor I was like this thing goes off nonstop I have to take I was like what's going on with that and he

Just laid right into me and I knew exactly where his head was at and I went f...

dealing with this guy and he's like oh you're walking away for me I was like I could tell that you are within ten seconds I want nothing to do with you I go I just wanted to see what your deal was now I know what your deal is I'm not talking to you I'm not gonna work this out with you you don't want to know what you don't want to know anything you're just gonna come over here

that way no never see me again I can see if you had like a disabled neighbor like an old lady

that you're like shovel or sidewalk and she just has to cross the street every time she goes there a little corner store I could see you want to maybe teaming up and fixing this for her it sounds like you've already done enough things where like you've already sort of escalated to the point where you you're you're you're bothering local government not bothering you're reaching out to the government you've now walked into the store you know the actual store that

didn't go well I don't really know where else there is to escalate I think you might I don't

I don't agree with the yelp thing I think that's bad but yeah I think this goes away unless unless it's like you have a really good cause here other than just like I don't like that you're

doing that what do you anti-yelp kind of risk is it just like frowned upon is it just I think it's

shitty it's cool you know like I just think it's she I think I really can't ruin businesses and like I wish you're very pros small business if I'm pretty sure not anti-small business the shooter behind the counter isn't the owner there so I think he's probably just took took some liberty to threaten her yeah yeah the one of them threaten her uh yeah yeah no I get that it's annoying but think of the reward of all the time that you won't

spend on this once you accept it it's right that is the principle of this thing it's it's like I I will you know it just knowing it's a success there's plenty of principle of the things that I I'm with you on screwdriver like you know what somebody should say something you know like I I had cool I don't want to do anything about this thing that's blatantly bullshit like okay cool yeah and that's it mean you can be like Batman go vigilante on everybody but

what if you skateboard down the sidewalk crash through the windshield on purpose and go what whoa yeah yeah that was supposed to be there boom all right that's good I like that's creative how's that better than the yelp with you okay whatever it just is man it just is I can't explain if it's snows could you get a snowblower and just right by it every time and there we go so I'm not gonna say anything about any kind of thing but some like swear like bird some like

bird food on top of the cars right that he left over don't throw that bread away put a stink bomb in their mailbox yeah what are you worried about it I want to end on a sad note today um so

yeah look a Barry Melrose past that's why I'm wearing the shirt today

he was just an absolute legend not only for the NHL but for ESPN and it's coverage you know Barry I'll explain it this way I'm not pretending that I was super close to him other than seeing him all the time and Bristol because he was there a lot doing all the studio shows but he was somebody who you know when he come in and whether it was Scott or I or whoever like we'd be in studio and he'd be so nice to come by and usually we would only have in the

playoffs and one of my favorite things about period was that he knew that we didn't know we were talking about the entire time and he would work to like our level and make it an awesome segment and I think that's like one of the greatest compliments you can give an analyst because there's so many analysts when he sports and they know they're walking in a room or it's like more often not there's no one in the room that's gonna know more about the game you've dedicated your life to

and Barry always like made it work for everybody especially with the drive by approach that so many

of us had that had daily shows we were talking about the NHL we're you know we might even

talk about the first second round stuff you know conference finals stand the cup and they

become in him just be so great and he's also it's impossible to be as cool as Barry Melrose was he could think about this he could have a completely outdated look he could have a completely outdated suit he was still the coolest guy in the room coolest guy in the hallway every single time and I mean the outdated thing and like the best possible way like hardcore old school hockey guy who would roll in with these suits and he'd have his hair just comb back and you know it was

like we're around a lot of people man like being the ESPN as long as I've been there and it was there was little reminders of like the day-to-day like this is a cool experience and then you get numb to it you know you have scenarios you're like I should be a little more freaked out that I'm walking down the hallway with Jerry Rice to go figure out what's on the menu but Barry had

This presence of when you were around him or you got to see him it just was w...

other level so thoughts with his family and they don't they don't make him like Barry Melrose that's for sure Brian Rassillapocca's Rostal Sports.
