Then this podcast is for you, so here's your host, Joe Middigan. Hello and welcome to we.
“Have you ever wondered if maybe you're not good enough to have the life you really want?”
Not successful enough, not smart enough, not strong enough, not worthy enough. Maybe you've looked at other people who seem happy and thought, "Why can't my life feel like that?" Certainly, no, I felt that. For much of my life, I thought I was trying to become happy, but when I really looked
back today, I realized there were times when happiness was right in front of me, and I didn't know how to receive it because somewhere deep inside of me was a belief, I didn't completely understand it.
“I wasn't sure, quite honestly, if I deserved it, I wasn't sure if I was good enough”
to have a life filled with peace, love, joy, purpose, meaning, and abundance, and quite honestly, it's kind of difficult to admit, because consciously, of course, I wanted all those things, but emotionally, there was still a part of me carrying around the wounds of my past, a part of me that remembered the mistakes I had made, the people at her, the times I'd failed, the times I wasn't the person I wanted to be, and without realizing
it, sometimes allowed those experiences, quite honestly, to become my true identity. Instead of saying, "I made mistakes, I began believing, I am a mistake, instead of saying, I failed, I began believing, maybe I'm a failure," instead of believing that my life could become something extraordinary, I sometimes wondered, "Who am I to believe I could have a great life?"
But healing has begun teaching me something very, very different.
“My past can explain parts of me, without quite honestly defining all of me.”
The person I used to be does not have to determine the person I'm becoming, and the mistakes I've made do not have to become the life sentence for me, and where emotional healing became so important for me, because I couldn't simply think my way out of myself doubt.
I had to begin healing the parts of me that believed the doubt in the first place.
And I've done that. I've started asking myself completely different questions, not am I good enough, but what if my higher power already believes I'm capable of becoming more than I can see right now? Quite honestly, folks, that changes everything, because maybe I don't have to prove that I'm worthy of happiness.
Maybe happiness isn't something I earn after I finally become perfect. Maybe joy isn't a reward waiting for me after I fix every flaw. Maybe a great life begins when I stop fighting myself long enough to receive the love guidance and possibilities that I've been trying to reach for a really long time. Today, I'm learning to believe in myself differently, not because I suddenly have all the answers.
No, of course not, not because I'm still not afraid sometimes,
and certainly not because I never have self doubt anymore.
I'm learning to believe in myself because I've survived enough of my own life to know that fear doesn't always tell me the truth about who I am. Self doubt doesn't always tell me the truth about what I'm capable of. And my past doesn't get to decide what my future is allowing me to become. My higher power does not need me to remain who I was yesterday.
Maybe my higher power is inviting me to become someone new today.
Someone who can love more deeply, someone who can live more authentically,
“someone who can experience peace without waiting for the world to become peaceful.”
Someone who can wake up in the morning and actually be grateful to be alive.
Someone who finally believes, maybe I am worthy of happiness and a joyful life.
So today, we're going to talk about worthiness. We're going to talk about self doubt. We're going to talk about why some of us can spend years pursuing happiness while unconsciously believing we don't deserve to experience it. And we're going to talk about the emotional healing that can help us let go of the identity
created by our wounds and begin trusting the person our higher power is helping us to become. Because I'm beginning to understand that creating a life isn't only about changing what's around me.
“It's also about healing what's inside of me.”
It's learning to stop asking what's wrong with me. And I'm beginning to ask what's possible for me. Maybe I am good enough to be happy. Maybe I am worthy of joy. Maybe I can believe in myself and maybe just maybe I can trust my higher power.
And maybe the great life I've spent so many years looking for doesn't begin when I finally become good enough. Maybe it begins when I finally realize that I already am. My name is Joe Mitiga and this is way. Welcome everybody. Welcome to We and I want to welcome everybody from around the world.
It's an amazing day here in Atlantis the 13th day of September and you have had an amazing weekend
and amazing week and I'm happy to be here. Happy to share my experience strength and hope with everybody. Welcome of from around the world. It's exciting to be able to say that. I like to kind of keep everybody updated on my story a little bit. And for new listeners, welcome. You know, we have tens of thousands literally of new people joining the We podcast community on a daily basis now. And I'm extremely grateful for that. Welcome to all of you.
Well, I say it all the time. I'm just a guy and you know, I'm just like you are. I'm just a guy. I'm the guy in the grocery store. I'm the guy in the croaker line. You know, where you buy your groceries. I'm the guy next to you at church. I'm nothing special. I don't say that in a degrading way. I said in an honest way. I'm just a man. And I've been on a conscious path for a long time. But personally, I'm just a guy just like you are. And I'm really, really excited to know that the We community is
growing literally around the world because it's an absolute reflection of what's going on with humanity. Humanity is waking up. Large percentage of people consider themselves more spiritual than religious these days. And in that awakening, it's not a judgment of the other. It's not a judgment of the old. It's an acknowledgement of the new. It's the acknowledgement of the growth. And in this this podcast, we are an emotional growth podcast and a human transformation podcast. And I have
to put those two things together because the why we do it all, like what the heck are we really doing all this sport or doing it because the end result. We want to have a better life. We want to feel better. We want to feel abundant. We want to feel happy. We want to feel joyful. We want that. Everybody wants that. And the truth of the matter is, in the past, the techniques in which influencer and other people shared on how to accomplish that. It worked for a while. But this
is a different show. I'm here to help people understand the why we don't feel happy, joyous and
“free on a daily basis. And what do we do about it? That's what the We podcast is. And again,”
you know, welcome everybody. I want to take a second. You know, here in the states 25 years ago,
9/11 was an absolute atrocity. And, you know, I'm one of these guys. I do it all the time. I challenge social norms. I do. I challenge social norms because humanity's waking up and that which we believed in our yesterday does not necessarily mean it's going to believe it in our today's and our tomorrow's. And with the 9/11 thing and the thousands of people that were killed,
You know, I see all sorts of different online conspiracy theories in this and...
what? I don't care about any of that garbage to be honest with you. What I care about is that people lost people that they loved. And I am so sorry. I am. I can't say that I knew anybody there. I didn't, but I'm interestingly enough. I'm not a TV guy. And even back then, 2001, I had an old TV, but I was a life coach back then. And I just happened to turn the television
on. I don't even know why to be honest with you. And I literally live saw the second plane
“crashing to the tower, live September 11, 2001. And I remember as I saw it, I couldn't really”
comprehend that you brain can't comprehend what was going on. And in that moment, I didn't really think about the massiveness of it. I didn't. But it was about an hour or two later when on every major news channel. And back then, the cable world, I don't know if the cable world was around or not. I'm sure it was some. But the big news channels, you know, some of the news anchors. And every news channel said, and it was the first time in my life I'd ever heard it, they said,
go home and get with your family and pray. And I remember when I heard that,
I said the world will never be the same. When you've got the national media
“telling you to go home and pray. I've never heard that before. And quite honestly, the world”
has never been the same. A lot of changes, you know, that whole environment caused a lot of different things to happen in the world. A lot of people woke up, a lot of people stayed asleep. And that particular era of time, you know, I was just in the beginning days that kind of coming out of my seven years of darkness. So I was pretty lost most of the time anyways. But I was beginning the whole idea of learning how to follow a God of my understanding, not because I was
pursuing it, but because I was healing. And you know, what the we podcast is about and why it is literally expanding around the globe is because we're a generation of change, we just are. And I say that all the time, and what do I mean? I mean that humanity, the part, anybody that considers themselves more spiritual and religious, why is that kind of the foundation, if you will, is because from millennia, the religious perspective, a God perspective for millennia was primarily found in a
structure called a church for millennia. Now, that isn't that was never the the mannerism of
the mechanism for the native cultures around the world, the Native American Indians or the native eskimos or the native people in any continent around the globe. They had a very different communion with a higher power forever, literally. And you can, you know, it's pretty interesting. If you study cultures, original cultures around the globe, how no way, and I'm talking about over the past two thousand years, they would never have even known they existed, but their
“cultures and their spiritual practices were almost identical, pretty bizarre. And why was that?”
Because they were connected to their feminine side of self and the spiritual essence that lives inside of us. And what the we podcast is all about is to honor all parts, all religions, all people's path for the God concept, all of it, all of you, everybody is welcome here. And since my communion happens with a power greater than myself, not necessarily from a religious perspective, I don't talk about the religious part. Now I will tell you for a fact, some of the most spiritually connected
humans I've ever been around are devout in their religions, my business partner and his wife, for 50 years have been devout Christians. They are the kindest, smartest, most connected, faith, written people that you would ever meet fabulous. Do I do it like them? No, no, I don't. But I love them exactly where they are and they show the God way by loving me too. And I could go on and on. So I welcome everybody here, I do. But my message is more from the spiritual perspective than
awakening perspective, because humanity is waking up, the feminine side of us is waking up, and as that side wake, it wakes up, there's a motion coming up and the more you heal the
Emotion, the more your spiritual sense of self is remembered.
That's why I sell the time. I'm not a teacher. I'm not. I don't have anything to teach you new.
“I can teach the techniques that I use to heal, none of them originally mine. The original person”
that I learned a lot of this from my counselor, Nancy, of many years learned it from a man named
John Bradshaw. And John Bradshaw's amazing human passed away numerous years ago now with 50
years of sobriety. And he was educated in every doctorate who was just a genius of a man. Belaying that, that's for sure. No genius. And I'm no doctor and I'm not a researcher. I'm not a therapist. I'm a guy. I'm a guy that's been on a path for a while. And I want to share with people how I became a guy guy, starting off with it from an F.U. God guy. And I say that all the time because it's the truth. So welcome everybody. Welcome people from Norway and United Kingdom.
Brand new country that I see now were ranked in is Taiwan. Oma is relatively new ranking.
“Malaysia, South Korea, of course, Canada, Kenya. You know, at the list goes on and on.”
And I've even got my numbers lately. Those are countries that that we podcast is ranking high in
those countries. There's a lot of people listening, which I'm humbled. I really am. And it's validation that we as a humanity. It doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter the color your skin. It doesn't matter the your past religions. It doesn't matter what language you speak. We're all humanity and it's happening around us everywhere. And as we wake up to that grander sense of ourselves, I'm here to validate back, be a mirror back for people. That grander sense of self. And
today's topic, though, is more from the emotional side of things, right? Today's topic is the whole idea of not feeling good enough. And they're not feeling good enough. That's an emotional topic.
“And we're going to get into the emotional side. And it is valid and real. It's a real live”
internal experience that people battle with their whole lives. And we're going to talk about why. And we're going to talk about what you do to heal it. And I'm a perfect guy to be able to talk about that because not good enough. That was a place I was trying to reach when I started.
Because I was a self-hate guy, literally. So when I finally got to Jesus, I only kind of
not feel good enough to me. That was a miracle from where I started on this path. And I'll talk about that some. I will. The reason I bring all of this up more and more and more is because I want people to understand that we are a spirit having a human existence, a human experience. Not a human having a spiritual experience. And I understand that concept pushes in the face of a lot of traditional belief systems. I get it. That's fine. Good. I don't. I mean, I get it.
That's okay. People don't have to believe it. We, you know, everybody knows the phrase created in a Christ consciousness inside us. Everybody knows the phrase that Jesus said, you shall do what I've done in grander things inside us. Most people don't know, but one of the last things Jesus said, you know, the guy that all times around, the guy that an entire religion was created around. He literally said some of the last things he said, I have to go sit by my father.
So he can place the spirit that has guided me in you, the Holy Spirit in us. Okay. Well, that Holy Spirit is there. Folks, that's you. That is the divine you. And people say, a lot of time, well, Joe, if it's in there, why can't I follow it or hear it? Well, you can't follow it or hear it, because a, a lot of people don't know what's there, but b, because it's also in the emotional part of ourselves. The feminine side of self is made up of two components,
the emotional sense of self and the spiritual sense of self. And for millennia, humanity was dominated by the male side of self, and this is it gender specific, it's energy, it's an adjective, the energy perspective, the male dominant self is the mind and the physical. For millennia, who is ever the strongest, dominated, whoever was the smartest, dominated, period, ask Caesar and every governing body sense. Is that a bad thing? No, it's just this, what it is. And as a humanity,
we are waking up now to the other side of ourselves. Hence, more and more people into a

when we realize and we understand and one of the biggest things I do here on the Wii podcast, is I validate the emotional side of yourself. That's why the Wii podcast is considered the number one how to emotional growth podcast in Apple systems ranked 46th in the globe today because all of you, thank you for supporting and thank you for telling people about it. And I'm hoping and I'm feeling more and more that, you know, since I'm not a therapist, I can't support you long term. I can bring
awareness to most of you, stuff you've already known, stuff you've already gone through, stuff you've already experienced over the past 20, 30 years. And I'm putting a voice to it in such a way because
“that's what happened to me. So most people I believe, the audience here at the Wii podcast,”
are people that have been in and out of therapy for 25 years in the 12 step programs on a spiritual
path. I say to people all the time, do you remember what your first conscious thought was?
And if you can't remember, kind of pray about it, kind of think about it. Why? Because when you think back on how long ago you had conscious thought, you'll see how long you've been on a spiritual path. What is spiritual awakening? What is spiritual enlightenment? What does it mean? It means awakening means that you start realizing you can't hear your own thoughts. You can't, you're starting to understand there's a you inside and you can hear it. You start bringing light to the dark.
Is that happening, everybody? No. In fact, most people, a lot of people on the planet would have
“no idea what I'm talking about. And that's why I said all the time. If you're here at the Wii”
podcast, you can make it through my podcast. You are an absolute spiritual warrior because I say stuff here that isn't spoken in other places. Why? Because it's just my truth. I'm sharing back my truth. I'm not making anybody else right or wrong. I'm sharing my truth. And obviously, tens of thousands of people are connecting with it because you keep coming back and I thank you for that. The Wii podcast is really creating a library of episodes. So I want to encourage you to
keep coming back, listen to the different episodes, listen to episodes over and over, tell people about it. And you know, let my voice keep your company if you have an a tough day. And also let my voice celebrate with you if you have an a great day. Because I want to hear both sides of it all, you know, as I start getting out there and traveling and doing presentation, I look forward to meeting all of you. I wish I could shake every one of your hands and hug all your next.
But I have to do that in spirit because it would take me a long time to hug the next of a
half a million people that are now on the Wii podcast. But you understand what I mean. I consider all
“of you my friends. And I think if you met me, you would see that I'm just a normal guy. That's what you”
would see. And I would probably invite you to Thanksgiving dinner and you'd probably invite me to Thanksgiving dinner. I really, really appreciate that. And as we're healing, you know, we have some tough conversations around here. We did. I've had difficult conversation a couple of weeks ago. I had a conversation about what creates a pedophile. Convers, you know, a couple of weeks before that, I was in the depths of my emotion because I had to put my dog Zeus of 12 years to sleep.
It was hard. And I shared that from a very intimate heartfelt place. And why? Because I want the world to know, it is okay to grieve. And especially men, I want you to know, it is okay to grieve. And you listen to my episode that was launched August 11th, you know, you'll hear a grown man cry for 80 hours, 80 minutes. Why? Because I was hurting really bad. Had to say goodbye to a close friend, my dog Zeus. And, you know, I've had several stories of
and keeping people abreast with a couple out of Connecticut that, you know, the man was in the program and he relapsed and will fast forward now. He's back in the center of his growth and he's
getting a different job to support sobriety first and income socket. Build as the steam back up.
His wife is doing great. She was able to look at her coat dependence and sit on her couch and grieve some really deep stuff. Not easy. The grieving part of this is not easy folks. It's not. But it's important. And it's important because all of the crazy voices in your head, affirmations don't fix our heel any of that. They might call it for the moment. Meditation might calm the crazy voices in the moment. It heals nothing. Why? Because the source of the crazy
Voices in your head is not in your head.
going to talk about here today. In my opening, when I wrote that opening, I talked about how
I had to heal my heart that start healing myself down because I couldn't think my way out of self-doubt. Why? Because self-doubt is the consequence of inner pain that just is. And one of the things that is hard about a spiritual and emotional path is that we have to be willing to do things that aren't easy. And I'm personally in a circumstance now where over the past couple weeks, I received an email from a person that I was in communication with, trying to get a
referral, I'm trying to create relationships with people that I can refer on this show. And you know, a couple of different places I'm already doing it some. And I got an email from somebody that I was trying to get this referral from. And it was bizarre. And I'm thinking, what did I do to her?
“I really didn't know. You should take my voice. Is that most of them? I'm pretty peaceful.”
You know, I'm in the five and six hours of silence. And I'm working a 40,000 piece puzzle, almost done with the first section of a 4,000 piece of a 4,000 piece. There's 10, 4,000 piece puzzles. So five or six hours a day, I'm in that practice of silence and stillness now because this isn't here. And I get this email. And I'm thinking, I didn't say any of that. I didn't intend any of that. There's nothing she said in an email that was actually true or accurate,
except her feelings were heard. And when the beginning, I'm ranting in my own head, ranting in Raven and how dare she and what does she think she is and doesn't she know me and
blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and the problem is none of that matters. I or an immense.
“Now you might think, well, Joe, why do you or an immense? What'd you do? Nothing.”
But my behaviors caused another human harm. Did I do it on purpose? No. Was I trying to hurt anybody? No. Did I mean to hurt anybody? No. Was I, were my words ugly, hateful, harmful? No. Well, then Joe, why do you or an immense? Because regardless of my intention, somebody else's feelings were hurt. So I owe an immense. I will make an immense. Now, wish me luck. Give me, you know, every one of you pray for me, because those are not easy.
It was hard enough making a immense when you knew exactly what you did wrong. Because if you step on somebody's boundaries called being human, you own immense. In this particular case, I'm not really even sure what I did. But based on this person's reaction,
“I did something unconscious that caused her harm. And I will make a men's for that harm. I caused”
another human. I don't have to know what I did. It's not up to me to decide if somebody else's feelings are hurt or not. It's not up to me to decide if someone else's feelings are hurt. It's up to them to tell me their feelings are hurt. Well, in this particular case, this person did. And I had to process through it because I'm telling you for four, three or four days. I was just a rant and raving. And what do I do? I write it all down just like I tell all y'all. The crazy
voices in your head write them down on paper, write them down. And by the time I do another episode, couple two or three days, I will have sent that a men's tour. And I got, I'm not going to read the detail of the men's, but I will have sent it by them. And she had, she told me in a response, blah, blah, blah, and I have no desire for any more conversation. I'm not replying to anything. And of course, I thought, well, that's a great adult way to handle something. Just accuse
me of all sorts of crazy crap. And then let's not talk about it. I have all sorts of adjectives for that, none of them loving, but that person gets to live however she wants. And I get to share my truth too. And I will. And if anything I do causes another person harm, I make a men's. Do I make a men's at a guilt? No, I make a men's out of trying to be kind and I will. This whole concept of self-doubt. What is it? What is that feeling? That whole concept of self-doubt? The whole concept,
like this, I talk in my title here, of not feeling good enough. What is not good enough? Well, not
good enough is basically an emotional void in our belly. It's an experience of no matter what we do in our
External world, no matter what somebody says or doesn't say, no matter how we...
out in the world, there's a sense of something missing, a sense of a void, a sense of like a
scratch that can't be itched, an emotion that can't be felt, an experience that can't be embraced. It's no matter what we do, there's a sense of less than or not good enough. That's inside of us. Now we're going to talk about where what causes it and then what do we do to heal it? And why do we want to heal it? And we're going to talk about that in some stories throughout the thing. My book, "Filling the Void", talks a lot about this. It really does. Visit my site, JoeMidigad.com. You know,
I know a lot of people have visited. We're creating the site. It'll be up in function. You send it off soon enough. But just keep visiting, JoeMidigad.com. Download my book for free. You'll get it digitally
“for free. If you want to buy the hard copy, click a button, take your right to Amazon. So,”
and eventually it's going to be an audio, audio in all different languages, you know, 50 different languages, which I'm really excited about that. So let's talk about it. Let's talk about not good enough.
Basically, what not good enough is. It's an internal experience of vacancy that our unconscious
perspective believes can be filled from the outside in. Here, what I just said. Not good enough. It's an internal experience. It's an internal sense of vacancy. It's a sense of non-completion. It's a sense of non-filled. And our belief system is, our unconscious human belief is, well, the way I feel feel, feel not good enough is create more outside, more money, better job, different bank account, different location, of course, a different wife, more kids.
“And the truth is, folks, none of that heals the internal hurt of not good enough. So, if you”
remember, if you understand, we are all multidimensional beings, and that multidimensional being is human self, higher self, inner self. Well, the inner self is what we're talking about today. And that inner self, I called the inner child and the reason I called it the inner child is when I was introduced to this concept that we were the 16th, 1990. I was introduced to it by my therapist at the time, Maryann, and Maryann said, "You know, Joe, I'm going to teach you about this thing called the inner child."
And I had no idea what she was talking about. I'm 20, what was I? 27-ish, getting ready to be 27 at the time, big drinking all the time, drug and all the time, you know, working blah, blah. And she said,
“"I'm going to introduce you to a concept called the inner child." And she learned it from John Bradshaw,”
she did. And she said, "We all have an emotional side of ourselves." And I mean, we're thinking, "What is she talking about?" I really had no idea what she was talking about at the time. But I trusted her. You know, we were, I had started a relationship with her, and this is part of
the third or fourth time I visited her, because earlier that previous fall, I'm talking about
inner child is February that previous fall, I'm sitting at my mother's house, water coming out of my eyes. My grandmother had passed, and I couldn't, the whole was too big. I couldn't fill it, and with anything. And I said, "I need help." Well, my help was my therapist, Maryann. And she said to me, she said, "Joe, we all are an emotional being. We basically male side, mental physical, female side, spiritual emotional." She didn't go all into all that at the
time. She just said, "We all are an emotional being." And we're all multi-dimensional. And when I talk about the we, where the we podcast was created, human self, higher self, inner self. The higher self is our communion with all that is. It depends on how you define a God of your understanding is what and how you're going to, what adjective you're going to place on your higher self. I like to use the word divinity because it's kind of a generic term that is an all-encompassing term.
Humanity or divinity is a concept that is the spiritual communion that, with all there is, with the God of our understanding. And whatever adjective you use, great. Now, human self,
That's the guy talking right here.
brushes your teeth, makes your breakfast and takes you to work. That's your human self. Your inner self is the emotional part of you. And Maryann explained to me, she said, "Joe, the emotional side of
“you, the best way to heal the depths of yourself, the emotional side of yourself is you have to”
create a conscious connection, a conscious relationship with an inner, you, the part that's inside of you. And she, and told me, she talked to me about this concept. But if we think about our emotional side of ourselves, as a child, it's easier to be nice to. And I'm everything, yeah, that's true.
Because if I just thought of myself as a 27-year-old, almost emotional guy, first off, I would have
just blown it off because I didn't big boys don't cry and it's a waste of time and emotions are stupid and why the hell would I want to do it in the first place? No, not doing it. But when she put it in the context that said, it isn't about you, Joe, it's about helping and nurturing an inner you, a child that is in you, a conscious part of you that's in you. That started making sense. She took me through a hypnosis technique and brought me into my body and breathing and then she said,
just imagine a child and it don't, don't describe, don't force whatever age comes into me. What happened was I saw an 11-year-old little boy and in a Minnesota twins baseball uniform.
That was a bit little baseball player, little league. And at the time when it first happened,
I didn't really know, over time I realized, oh my gosh, that's my little kid, my inner child, my 11-year-old. And sure enough, as that part started to integrate, as I brought my consciousness and our consciousness folks is the part of us that does the thinking, the part of us that does the perceiving, like literally if you're driving your car and you're at a stop like your consciousness is looking at that lights and looking if it's red, your consciousness is waiting
for it to go red to green. So your consciousness tells you it's time to move forward by pushing
on the gas and you move forward. So if you had to stop like your consciousness,
you're perceived awareness at a stop light is on the traffic signals. Well, take that same consciousness and bring it inside yourself. In other words, close your eyes and imagine inside of you and ask the child in you to come forward and you will be amazed that a child vision will come. Now for me, I saw it. Some people feel it. A lot of women sense it, but you're going to connect with somehow, mentally like I did, visual, audio are intuitively
a deeper part, a different part. And as soon as I became aware of this 11-year-old in me, the 26-year-old was a part and the 11-year-old was a part. Like literally my 26-year-old was the one doing the imagining and my 11-year-old is the part that came. So in that moment, I was a multi-dimensional being a 26-year-old man and a 11-year-old child at the same time. Well, over time,
“I learned how to embrace, connect, and communicate with that inner child. That's why my book is so”
important, filling the void because what is void? Void is an emptiness inside of us. How do we fill the void? We fill the void by creating a conversation with that inner part of ourselves, the inner child. How do we do the communication? We write out questions where they're dominant hand. We switch our, switch the pencil, and then let the non-dominant hand do the writing. So in my example, when I started learning dual hand journaling, my 27-year-old was writing a question and my 11-year-old was
answering the question. How do I know it was my 11-year-old because I could feel it? I could feel the part and you do it your non-dominant hand because it's real uncomfortable and it looks like chicken stretch of a kid and you can just sense it's a different you and that experience causes the
“multi-dimensionalness of us. Well, where to solve that and why is all that important around the”
feeling of not good enough? Well, as a child, as a kid, we are multi-dimensional as children. We are
The way that we are nurtured and the way that we are embraced and the way tha...
is what causes us per age, per era, per decade to grow. And as a kid, we have physical needs,
“we have spiritual needs, we have emotional needs and we have mental needs. Well, for most people on this”
podcast, the physical and mental needs were met. Now, barring abuse, barring the severe neglect. I'm talking about the masses, most of us. We woke up and mom and dad had dinner, had breakfast. I never didn't have food. I always had clothes, always. When school on time, always, my parents were
always there to physically take care of me. You know, very first house, when I was born, our house
cost $12,000, 1963. So, that was the era of time we lived in. So, physically, I was always taken care of. Mentally, taking care of. School, parents, 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 3. Learn geography, learn the names of the presidents, learn the name of your state, learn your address, learn your phone number. Yes, as a kid, sure, we all most of us did that. When I say most, 99.9, we're mentally supported. Now, what weren't we? Now, back then, spiritually, for most, religion was the dominant way to
spiritually support. And for most, 60 years ago, it worked. That didn't work for me. I tell the
story all the time about the religion I grew up in, and I just didn't believe in it. And as a big enough personality and independent enough to where I said to people, I don't believe it. Do what you want, and whatever. Well, so spiritually, from a God perspective, I wasn't really nurtured,
“but I didn't feel like I was abandoned, which just didn't matter quite honestly. But that's why I”
created and called myself a, not a God guy. I didn't go to an F.U. God guy, like, and I hope everyone understand. I'm not cussing here, but it was as vulgar as I could be. I only went there in the seven years of pain because I went through seven years of absolute agony. And I said, there's no way there could be a God because God wouldn't make somebody go through this kind of pain. And it was many years later that I heard the voice said, Jo, God didn't create your pain. You did.
God wasn't the source of why you're in so much pain. You were. And your environment was. And God will give you the strength and courage to walk out of your pain, Jo. God's not the source of your pain. Our God's not the reason for your pain. And that voice was right. God did give me the strength and courage to walk out. But as a kid, emotionally, we weren't validated 99% of the time, we just weren't. Now, some people grew up in an I love you, family, which is a
little bit of emotional validation. Some people didn't. But I'm not even talking about that kind of validation. I'm talking about the emotional empowering of a child of a kid. Well, you need it when you don't get it, then you start. There's as you get older, your mental part is progressing.
You go from the second to the fifth to the ninth to the 12th grade. So mentally you're getting stronger.
Learning mental physically growing up spiritually, you know, especially as a young person,
“the spiritual part for some it's important. But for most it's most just like it's more just”
habit, whatever the habit was from the spiritual side. But emotionally, if you're not being taught that emotions are a good thing, if you're not being taught to embrace mad, glad, sad and scared, if you're not being taught to take safe time and sacred space and honor that part, what happens to that part? Well, that part of you, that emotional part of you, while other aspects are growing and developing and flourishing the emotional part of you,
is sitting there vacant, neglected, abandoned, not embraced. And the consequence of an emotional part of you, the little kid in you, not being embraced and honored and supported and taught,
When you don't get your needs, you feel empty.
you've got this four year old inside of you at 40 years old, who still feels abandoned, neglected and abused, empty. Well, the empty of your four year old is what then gets lived out as a 40 year old in not good enough. So think about it, you're 40 years old, four years old, nobody taught you how to feel your feelings. So your smart as a whip, your religions working and maybe you shipped in somewhere to where you're a devout can't leak or you, you know, you kind of
move into some Christianity and some spirituality, so your spiritual life as you get older becomes more important, physically you're in good shape, but emotionally you're void. Why? Because the consciousness of the day didn't know how to support emotional growth. Good or bad? No, just the
“era of time we grew up in, 99% of us. That's why now, right now, 2026, that's why we, the people on”
the Wii podcast, we are the generation to change because we're embracing and empowering and acknowledging the emotional side of our kids. We are more and more, but go back to the 45 year old, who now is successful as they can be. They've got a very successful corporate job and they're living a life with a partner that they're loving and they're starting a financial future and all of that,
but they're still missing something. What's the missing? It's the emotional part that never
was honored 40 years ago. What's still with you today? Causing, not good enough, and that's where it comes from. Well, how do we heal it? What do we do about it? A, you have to understand, it's there, literally, and I'm telling you now, now you're understanding the source of, you're not good enough, or the source of, I'm a bad person, or the self doubt, but the self doubt, the same things, not learning how to trust ourselves, but back to the not good enough feeling, right? And that whole,
“how does it live out in our world? Like, how do we know we're experiencing it?”
First off, you're going to hear it in your head. You're going to hear the voices in your head,
and the voices are going to sound something like, I'm not good enough. I'm never a winner.
I can't do it, no matter how much money I make, I need to make more. The voice in you that says, I just made a million dollars. Now I have to make two. That's the acting out of a not good enough, voice. The part of you that says, I'm not cute enough. I'm not strong enough. I'm not fast enough. The part of you that says, I'm too fat. I'm too skinny. I'm too white. I'm too black. Those voices are the voices underneath all of it, because every one of those that are saying,
I'm not, the not is describing the vacancy in your belly. Here what I just said, the I'm not something that the not in your mental description of yourself, the I'm not, whatever,
“the not experience is describing the vacancy in your belly. And that's why I say all the time.”
You can tell that voice you're perfect and you're beautiful and you're this and you're that the positive affirmations. It means nothing. Why? Because the reason you have the glass empty voice is because you've got a vacancy in your heart. Why? Because 40 years ago you weren't taught
how to embrace emotions. You weren't 99% of people weren't taught. I've never met anybody that
was taught. New as a kid. So the whole idea of that how do we get to it? How do we heal it? We start with a voices. So if you're in that sense of what's the emotional healing that allowed me to let go of those past beliefs? Well, I didn't let go of the beliefs until I found the kid. How do you find the inner child? How do you find that part in you? You follow the glass empty voices. First, what does that look like? Get out of piece of paper. Write them down.
You know, take a second in your silence. I've asking people to practice five minutes of silence every day. And in that silence, in silence doesn't mean no motion. Silence means no external stimulus.
In that silence, listen for the, I'm not good enough voices.
Any voice that's not describing your tomorrow, grander than you're today.
“Any voice like that. How do you do? Write it down.”
And unlike so many people out there that will try to badger that voice into believing something else. I tell an example of where there was a famous
newscaster and one of the old new thought leaders. And they were basically because this person was
aware of a little kid and they kept telling that little kid. You are loved and you are lovable. And you are this and you are that and you are this and you are that. They got a little kid in they're saying no, I'm not, I'm none of those things. All that little kid felt was badgered. So what do we do about it? We change the narrative from the adult telling the little kid
“what the kid is feeling to asking the little kid what the little kid is feeling inside of you.”
How do you get to the inner child? You write out the voices. And as you write out your voices, literally as you write them out, you will eventually see or feel or hear an inner part of you that is the source of those voices. Some of the other ways that not good enough buttons are created, not good enough wounds are created. If you're in an environment where, no matter how good you do,
it's never enough. You get four A's and two B pluses on your report card. And the focus is,
why didn't you get those B pluses to A's too? That creates a not good enough. The voice is where literally there's an entire community of people out there that if a child gets emotional, they're made wrong, let alone punished, tremendous numbers of unconscious parents. If their child gets mad at them because they're not getting their way, the child will literally get punished for her anger or his anger. Now, I'm not suggesting you allow the child to take their
anger out in a healthy way. But I am suggesting that if a child doesn't get their way and anger is
their reaction, anger is the natural consequence of not getting your way. Natural, normal. But if you
were a little kid and you got angry and you got punished, literally an entire emotional section of
“yourself never honored. That's why I grew up. Anger was for Bidden in my house, for Bidden. My”
dad would not allow anger anywhere. So literally we grew up, I grew up in an environment where not only emotion, big boys and big boys don't cry, so no crying and no anger. But what to hack, the only thing left is joy and fear. We live in fear because you didn't want to be angry. You certainly didn't want to cry. So where was the joy supposed to come from? If all the other emotion was constantly suppressed and was he trying to hurt? No. He thought he was making me tough. He thought he was making
me mentally astute. What he was doing was he was causing me to emotionally separate. Hence, why when 26 years old came later, I didn't even know emotions were there. So what did I do? I drank, literally. And so those of us that there was direct consequence of feeling emotions as a child, direct punishment for feeling emotions as a child, that part of you is still in you now, afraid to feel emotion. Why? Because 40, 50, 60 years goes punished if it felt emotions. So what
do we do about it? How do we heal it? Well, that's where the dual hand journal comes in. How does a part feel good enough? It feels good enough by being heard. Hear me, how does a part start healing the I'm not good enough? The I'm not good enough. It takes on the belief I'm not good enough, because it's not getting its needs. What it was, it's needs 50 years ago, emotional support. Well, it didn't get emotional support. So instead of blaming mommy and daddy, it just takes on the
self belief system, I must not be good enough to get what I need, which is emotional support. Well, fast forward to now, 50 years later, that part's still inside of you. How do you help that
Part of you, the inner part of you, change its perspective?
consciousness, the same thing that you know is looking for the light at the traffic sign,
bring that awareness inside yourself, ask for the inner child to come up. Of course, you've got to be in a sacred place, it's kind of a quiet place, right down the crazy voices with your right hand, you'll hear them, they're not good enough voices, and then when you feel a little kid, when you hear a little kid, or you can sense a child in you, it'll be like you as the adult and a part of you in you at the same time, you'll be multi-dimensional, two of you at the same time.
Then with your dominant hand, you're out of question, with your non-dominant hand, you let that
“part answer. And that's the trick, that's the key. So many people, as the adult, that even know”
they have a wounded little kid, their answer to healing the wounded little kid is to tell the kid what it's feeling. That doesn't do anything except close your inner child down more. What helps the inner child heal is you ask an open-ended question, and then you give that child enough time to share whatever he or she needs to share. In the beginning, I would ask my little kid how are you? He'd say fine. I would ask him, okay, he'd almost say nothing, and that was okay.
That's the beginning, that's the beginning of communication, that's the beginning of an event flow. It's the ask, the question, and then the listening is what people miss. The listening by the
“adult is the one listening, and the adult, whoever that is listening for the child to share.”
And over time, that inner part of you who had no one to share with 50 years ago, they had no loving adult, no conscious parent, no conscious guardian in their life, 50 years ago to listen, you're becoming that conscious loving adult. Now, today, September the 13th, 2026, you're becoming the conscious adult, giving the inner part of you the safety and the time it needs to share. That's where I came up with the whole concept of a child
spells love, T-I-M-E, not L-O-V-E, time, a child defines love as time. And in that perspective, right there, in doing that, and letting that kid talk, whatever, and folks, just like if you had a
“broken leg, you can get it mended and in a cast. But a broken leg, it takes time to heal.”
It doesn't just automatically heal. It doesn't matter, poofo, and it's done. Just because you have awareness that you broke your leg, doesn't mean tomorrow it's going to be better in heal. And that's definitely the perspective I want everybody to understand that the healing of the inner child is a time variable event. But literally what causes it to heal every time is a consistency on a day-to-day basis, or a week-to-week basis. I say it all the time, I say it in my book,
give your little kid 15 minutes a day. In the beginning, giving five minutes a day, literally, because that five minutes every day, bringing your conscious awareness inside yourself, then you're understanding that your answers to your inner wounds. The I don't feel good enough experience is not outside of you. You can have $40 in the bank or $40 million in the bank, no amount of money in the bank fills the wound of I don't feel good enough. What heals the wound,
if I don't feel good enough, is the little kid, and why he or she doesn't feel good enough. And
she doesn't feel good enough because she's never been given the time to feel like she matters.
She doesn't matter to anybody that doesn't pay attention to her. So she doesn't matter because of unconscious behavior, environment of the past and you of today, then the inner you doesn't feel good enough. She doesn't feel worthy. She doesn't feel like she deserves to be loved. Why? Because with no conscious awareness, she's not being loved. She's not being trusted.
She's not being hurt unless we bring our awareness in to listen.
practice that, as you do that over and over, over time, eventually what happens is that part will
“move from words to emotion. The true healing happens. Not with awareness, but with awareness”
long enough to where you create trust with that inner part of you, to when that inner part feels trust that part will open, and when it opens, you'll emotion. Mad, glad, sad, or scared, whatever the emotion is. It's on the other side of the emotion where you truly start experiencing the healing. The process, listen to the bring your awareness inside. Understand that all of your not good enough stuff is inside of you. Does it matter outside? It's inside. Bring your awareness inside. Listen to the
crazy voices. Write them down. It's called a first step. As you write them down long enough,
you're going to sense an inner child, an inner emotional you. As you do that inner emotional you, you go from single hand journaling to asking with your dominant hand and listening as your non-dominant hand rights. Asking with your dominant hand, listening as your non-dominant hand rights. As you listen long enough, keep that child first long enough. She will share or he will share long enough to whether you feel a connection, you feel a bond, and in that bond of communion
in conscious conversation back and forth, you and an inner emotional you, eventually that part will emotes. It will literally grave what it needed to grave 50 years ago. It'll grave today. It will be angry about what it needed to be angry about 50 years ago. It'll be angry about it today. And that part will share. And people say, "Well, Jesus, Joe, I can't do that. I got 50 years of
grief and anger. You know, I'll never heal that falsehood. It's not how it works. It's not how it works.
You can heal 50 years worth of suppressed grief in a couple of weeks worth of emotional release and feel a thousand times better." Then he's done healed? No, probably not. But is everybody on the path to heal the depths of their core of their being? No, you're not. Most people are not on an emotional journey to heal the core of themselves. Now, if you happen to be one of those people, buckle up, get a therapist, get support, and take the time to do it.
By the other 99% of you, the simple technique of embracing, listening, and emoting will make all the difference in the world. And what's the consequence? Well, the consequence is literally what happened to a woman. I support out of sexes. And she's going through some challenges. And she sat
on a couch. And in the beginning, she felt the 16-year-old that her dad was never around for,
and then later, she felt an eight or nine-year-old that poor mom kind of made fun of. And she sat there and she grieved that part. And then literally a couple weeks later, because she's a dynamic public speaker. She says, "I can't explain it." She says, "My connection to God is greater than it's ever been." And this is a powerful female. Anyways, and it just kind of got
“closed off. Well, why did it get closed off? Why did her connection to God get closed off?”
Because the emotional side of her and the spiritual side of her is on the same side. It's the feminine side. So if you've got too much stuff, emotion that needs to be expressed, the stuff, emotion, suppresses your communion with the power greater than yours. And I'm not talking about the mental thought of a power greater. I'm talking about the actual literal physical experience of oneness with a power greater. And for a lot of you, you know,
exactly what I'm talking about. For a lot of you, you're more a work in progress, but I promise you this. The more you let that little kid talk, the more you let that little kid share, the more you let that little kidy mode, the emotional side of yourself, the more that part opens. Eventually, opens to a place where oneness and love is the consequence. And when the child is opened up inside, and oneness and love is what the child is experiencing because it's emoted.
“It's felt important. It's been put burst. It's been listened to. The other side of not good enough”
is the part that is put first, long enough, proven that she's worthy by your actions. I say words
Or cheap all the time, action is what heals.
journaling and then the emoting, eventually the grief of our yesterday doesn't affect us.
“The voices in our head eventually get less and less and less. And the only thing left”
is that power greater than yourself that's on that same feminine side coming through. So the reward, what's the true reward, the true reward of healing the depths of ourselves? Literally, healing the depths of ourselves is creating a great life. And the great life starts from the
inside out, not the outside in. Now, absolutely. Go make a million bucks. Go do what you love. Go
change the world. Go be the next greatest second-grade teacher. Whatever it is you want to do, go do it. Because when you're doing it from a place of fullness, wholeness, happiness inside, because the core of you, the inner you is being nurtured, the result is limitless. Go be a global podcaster. How did I go from almost homeless 30 years ago to having a half a million people around the globe downloading the Wii podcast? How did I do it? Because I'm something
special? No. Because I was just bound and determined over a seven-year period of time back in the late 90s to heal the depths of my inner child. I was just determined. And I did. Now, fast forward,
“where I am now, I don't have many voices. Not doesn't mean I don't have any. You should have”
heard my voices the other day. I got to make a mens because my behavior somehow, and I get it, I do. I'm big. My behaviors, big, my words are big, my personalities, big. I can only imagine I said something I didn't mean to. I don't have to know. All I know is another human being's feelings were hurt, like some interaction with me, and I owe them in a mens. And I will make it. It's not easy. I'll let you know how that goes in next podcast. But today, I don't have all
crazy voices in my head. Why? Because I did this exact technique over and over and over with different ages. And folks, some of you don't know. If you're new here, April the 15th 1994, I had full-blown memories of being sexually abused as a kid. And those sexual abuse memories, the pain, the hurt, the angst, the voices, the self-hate, all of that. I'm on the other side. Now, literally, I have a podcast
“talking about the forgiveness of one of my perps. And why do I say that? Because I say what the heck?”
If I can do it, anybody can do it. I mean, especially in the healing part. Anybody can do it. And I did it through really severe stuff. Most people, most are most people guided to heal the depths of their darkest darkest deepest pain. No, no, they just not. Had a counselor. She wasn't. She lived a great life. She passed away in her upper 70s. She knew she was consciously aware of deeper parts of herself that she just knew that wasn't this time around wasn't supposed to heal.
And she lived a great life. The last 20 years of her life happier she'd never been.
Truly. So, I can't tell you where your path is. I can't tell you what you're supposed to heal. I can tell you what I did to heal. And what I did to heal was I listened for the crazy voices. First off, experience the experience. Self doubt. In this case. Not good enough. In this case. Don't believe I deserve. Whatever it is, right? Listen for the voices. Write them down. As you write down the voices, then become aware of the inner child that's in you.
You write down the voices in a first step, all the self hate, self-same, self abuse voices.
That's a first step. You write all those down with your dominant hand. Then when you get to the
little kid inside, whatever age 18 to eight, 22 to two, whatever it is, then you do dual hand journaling. That's a John Bradshaw taught that. Dual hand journaling. You journal long enough. Ask questions and listen. Ask questions and listen. Ask questions and listen. You let that part journal long enough. Eventually it will get to a motion because it trusts you. And when that part trusts you that you're going to be there, you're going to keep that awareness
coming in 15 minutes a day. That part trusts that you're going to be there for it. It will open its heart to you. And when that inner child opens its heart, you're going to physically grieve emotions that have been stuffed in your whole life. As that emotion comes out, you will be amazed at how clear you feel. You'll be amazed at how light you feel. You'll be amazed
At how good you feel.
The end result consequence of healing the depths of yourself long enough is a oneness
with a power greater than yourself that only God can describe. And it's truly a beautiful thing. I can tell you folks that most of my life now, I live in a oneness as if that power greater than myself is literally sitting with me all the time. I am in constant communication with a God of understanding, constant, and I ask my inner child all the time. This last experience where I owe in a man's, I ask my little kid like what did we do something? And I can't
see my side. I don't have to see my side to make a man's. And I will make a man's. And the oneness
“that I live in today is truly amazing. And that's why I have such a passion to share because”
okayness comes from the inside out. Okayness comes from the healing of the depths of self. Okayness comes from giving a voice to your darkest parts, letting them speak, earning their trust, letting them grieve, and then letting them heal. And as you heal long enough,
you have an opening that's just amazing. As that opening happens, as that overflow happens,
I promise you, you will be guided to share your overflow back out into the world,
“however that looks for you. And as you share back into the world, that's how we heal the world”
together. And that's why the we podcast is such a passion for me. My goal, my intention, is to help 100 million people learn how to embrace the depths of their emotional self, because there's a
100 million people learn how to heal from the deepest parts in inward and then live it outward,
because the more you heal inside, the more availability you have an overflow to share out into the world. The more we, the deeper we heal, the greater you are out into the world. And as more of us heal,
“there's more of us to give back. As there's more of us to give back. That's how we heal humanity.”
And together, folks, we're doing it. Literally around the world, 20 or 30 countries. Now, literally around the world, people are hearing this message, because we're all one, humanity is waking up. How do we live as that grander sense of our self? It's through healing and giving a voice to the emotional sense of self. As we do it, we grow. As we do it, we heal. And as more of us heal, more of us get back to the world and together, we're healing humanity one smile at a time. And from
