In a quiet suburb of San Diego County, surrounded by mountains and avocado farms, there's a house on a tree-lined colto sec. It's 2010, and the mixed-day family has recently moved in. Joseph Summer and their two little boys. But one day, the typically bustling house, is quiet. When detectives walked into that house, it was very eerie. They said that it was like time just to instill.
A carton of eggs left on the kitchen counter, bowls of popcorn, half eaten on the couch. Their beloved dogs, alone, outside, and the family, nowhere to be found. The mixed-day family disappeared in February of 2010 from their fall-break home without a trace. They saw no signs of force entry, no signs of a struggle, no blood. That's not normal, that's not normal.
For more than a week, nobody sees or hears from the mixed-days.
A first-friend's family and investigators can't make sense of it.
“Who's ever heard of an entire family going missing?”
And as the investigation continues, the search for answers leads to more questions. Why are they on the run? They just bought a beautiful home. They don't need to be on the run. But more questions come more fierce, everything.
Maybe they're never coming back, maybe something really terrible did happen to them.
In everyone? He knows that he was the last person to talk to him, and there's only one way you can do it. He's questioned.
“And he didn't know what happened. Nothing happened, okay?”
And the community, the country, are all left wondered what happened to the mixed-days. It was an unsolved mystery for three years, nine months and seven days. And then the story blew up.
