Generals gathered in their messels,
just like witches at my masses. You are minds and plot destruction, sorcerers and dance construction, and fills the body's burning. That's what machine keeps turning.
Death in hatred to mankind,
holding you in every wash my eyes.

What did I just break in here?
What just happened?
“I just slammed in the face with that freaking awesome train.”
[LAUGHTER] [MUSIC] Slam of the face of the awesome train. [LAUGHTER] That was James R. Isaac III with an fricking phenomenal rendition of Warp Higgs
By Black Sabbath to kick off Friday night karaoke podcast episode number 73 s...
dark side. That was a great way to kick off this podcast. First of all, he's a great singer. Any time he puts a song out, you know it's going to be good, but I don't think I've ever heard him put out any Black Sabbath songs before. That was the first and it sounded freaking awesome. By the way, side note songs that you hear when you're younger and then you hear them now when you're older.
“Like if you actually listen to the lyrics and you're like, it hits differently, you know why?”
And then the nostalgia hits you too, especially he really made it his own. And he really brought like soul into it. And you felt every single word and he just went off on
those little tangents and they were just amazing. And again, this is a song that we grew up with.
I loved it back then. I love it now. And I have a newfound love for it because of James R. Isaac here. Again, James R. Isaac warpigs from Black Sabbath to kick off you. This awesome podcast. I am Mike Whistin. I am the co-host and co-founder of the Friday night, Gary Oki, podcast and the Friday night, Gary Oki, this book group. There were a lot of different characters.
Where are your voices just now? Yeah, they all took the light in the same time. Well, I am Joe Rubber with the same exact title.
“And only one of me here today inside the brain, right?”
Yeah, I know, maybe two, but like the other one's keeping real quiet during the podcast. And the meantime, dude, welcome back. Welcome back Joe Rubber. I love the Super Mario Brothers vintage T-shirt there. Oh, my God. That's one of my favorites.
I remember early on when we first started the group.
Brian, when it does know we have a group on Facebook. That's where you can watch this video if you're listening to the audio only version. Just go to Facebook, type in Friday night, karaoke, and you can join. There's three little questions to answer them, and you are in. And it's negativity free. It's ad free.
It's used to be gimmick free. It's not so gimmick free anymore. By the way, we don't charge anything. It's free. It's actually free. And it's just awesome. Everyone puts their songs up and it's a really great community of people.
I remember when we first started, one of the very first themes is video game songs.
Oh, yeah. The cartoon songs. Yeah, yeah, and I remember I did like the, it's the Super Mario Brothers show. That was good. That was good. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know. I mean, I guess they in character here man. We're doing dark side. That was a little too light-hearted. It's the super Mario Brothers. That's right. I thought so. Nice. So maybe just Bowser today. It's songs from the dark side. What's that all about? I guess dark side songs. I mean, we did made the fourth right. And then after that, we did the dark side songs.
Yeah. Yeah. In the Friday night karaoke group. This was the actual theme. So for you know, May the fourth be with you. We decided to go the other direction with it and make it about the dark side of the force. And I have to call this out. You know, you're probably seeing this already. If you're listening to this in Spotify or Apple or cast box or Google Podcast or Amazon or audible or anywhere else that you listen to podcasts on the audio side. But if you're viewing it in Facebook, you might not have seen this. Here's the new art episode episode number 73 season three songs from the dark side. And Joe and I are rocking out the Sith Lord.
A tire and is awesome. And I don't know where my late saber is. It's going to be a wristwatch of some sort. It looks like a. Yeah, apparently. I have one of those magnetic bands that helps your heart. It's a dark wristband. It's a dark time X. My time is evil. So coming up next. Again, thanks, James, our Isaac for war pigs from Black Sabbath and coming up next. We have a moderator of the Friday night karaoke group. This person has been with us for a long time. Since when we first started the group, she has an absolute rock star. We had the pleasure of meeting her down in Dallas when we were down there for a conference.
It was like two years ago, me. Yeah, her and Luke like that. Yeah, yeah, her and who else. Luke came down. Oh, Luke, the fellow. We met him as well. That was awesome. So this is going to be is about agular and you know, we're just keeping with the theme. You know, we had Black Sabbath with war pigs and now we're bringing out a little.
“Dio. I think Dio, he took over for Aussie, right? Yeah, no, no way to mix it up. He took over for Aussie and then, and then Aussie took back over again or something.”
I don't know. I don't remember. They're really sure. We can we can look it up.
Yeah, but you wanted to fun facts.
Actually, TPs. I hell of a recent. Exactly. So anyway, this is going to be Dio with one of my favorite songs by Dio rainbow in the dark. Give it a listen.
Oh, when there's light names, you know it always bring me down. Cause it feels and I see that it's me who's lost and never found.
I pray for magic. I'll be the dancing in the night. It was cold, I love a hold. To shout out of the night. No sign-up morning coming. You've been alive on your own. I don't remember when the dark.
“Oh, rainbow in the dark. Do your demons. Do they never let you go?”
When you're tired, do they have deep inside? Is it someone that you know?
You're just the picture. You imagine caught in time. You're alive, you and I. Where was we that arrived? There's no sign-up morning coming. You've been left on your own. You're even more in a dark. Just a rainbow in the dark. Yeah.
“When I see I need, you know it always bring me down.”
Cause it's free and I see that it's me who's never left and found.
There's no sign-up morning coming. There's no sign-up day. You've been left on your own. You're just the rainbow in the dark. The rainbow in the dark. Yeah.
“You're even more in a dark. Just a rainbow in the dark.”
Not sign-up morning. You're just the rainbow in the dark. That was awesome, dude. She held that note. She held it and it was great. Multiple times. It was great. I love that song and Isabelle Aguilar brought it home for us. Just re-agnited that nostalgic awesomeness that we feel down inside our cockles or our sub cockles of our hearts. That was awesome, though, Isabelle. You rocked that nicely done. That was great.
That was great.
Yeah, she sings a ton of duets. She used to sing a ton of duets in the group.
“I love the group. I love these podcasts. I love listening to all these songs.”
It's one of those things. I've always loved music.
I know. We grew up listening to tons of things and go into tons of live concerts and all that jazz. It's a totally different thing to be part of a group of people that share that same love of music. And who express themselves and like re-pricing surface things that you haven't even thought about in years. It is cool. I mean, not even just thought about in years. I discovered so many songs on FNK that I've never heard before ever. I think I listened to a decent amount of music in my life. I've heard a lot of songs.
That was great. Who the hell was that? I've never even heard of this song. It's kind of cool in a music discovery point of view. It's pretty awesome. Right along those lines of discovery, some of the most interesting things about the group is when someone posts an original or post something that kind of way more obscure. It's something that really no one's ever heard of. In this case, we actually have our next song. Is another moderator of the Friday Night karaoke group? I promise we're not doing all moderators.
It's just a shock out there.
“You should do that like a mod night one night.”
Yeah, we should do what we come up with a really cool theme for that. But yeah, so this is another moderator of the Friday Night karaoke group. This guy has literally been with us since the very beginning. He has a shot named after him. It's the Bravsky. I know. You know what? Yes. Sadly, we don't get to drink enough whiskey on this show anymore because of our time zone difference. It's a 13 AM from me.
You know, it's a very different kind of day if I start drinking whiskey right now. I know, I would drink with it. I'm like drink it by myself. You know, it's kind of sad. Yeah. Well, I'm not doing it. But, you know, so coming up next, we have our Dubrovsky and as I was mentioning along the lines of discovery, he actually asked chatGTP to make a song. You know, he saw on TikTok that a woman asked chatGTP if you were the devil.
“How would you destroy the young minds of the next generation without them knowing?”
And then he decided to take that and turn it into have chatGTP turn it into a song. And then he went out and got the music for or whatever and put together this rendition. It's called Diamond this rendition. This fresh new song called Without Them Knowing.
And if you listen to it in the words in the lyrics, it's actually freaking amazing.
Wait, this really happened. Is this story for real, he did this? Yeah, this is real. I couldn't like not include it in this week. It was it's too awesome. He just went out and made this song chatGTP or not, like whether you read it wrote it yourself or not, it doesn't really matter. He like put it together. He found something that he liked and got to a place where he's like, "This is right. This is good." And then he found music for it and then he freaking sang it.
That's like all right, fine. It's awesome. I love you. Yeah, then play the song. Yep, give it a listen. Let me Eric the roughscape without them knowing by chatGTP.
Give it a listen. I won't come in vain. I won't come in flame. They'll invite me. Won't even know my name. I'll give them lights. I'll give them screens. A thousand likes to quench their dreams. I'll feed them noise to silence. Forget the truth. Forget the words. I'll blur the lines between right and wrong.
Make everything just another song. No roots, no faith, no good or sin.
They'll never know they're losing him. I'll take their souls without them knowing.
With every day my whole keeps growing. Take their hearts and keep them known. Till they don't know what they become and they won't scream and they won't cry. Just watch the future fade and die. Oh, without them knowing. I'll teach them love. It's just a game and pains of fault. They get too blame. No need to fight. No need to rise. Just chase the pleasure feed the lies.
Forget the sacred mock the wise. Make all the prayers and truth disguise. They'll wear their masks and think they're free. Not knowing they belong to me. I'll take their souls without them knowing.
Tristan chains to keep them away.
Tell them dreams that rock like rust slowly turn our hope into dust.
“And they won't fight and they won't pray. Just grow the wasted youth away.”
Without them knowing. Whispers to them all inside their dreams. But the thoughts with useless needs.
They'll never feel the war. I'll wait just smiling side by side.
I'll take their souls without them knowing. Keep the fire for never show where. Turn their hearts to empty shell. Walk them for fear and do hell. They won't ask. They won't see. Just think the dark follow me. I won't come in with. I'll come to life.
And they'll never give them a fight. Oh my god. Are you the fucking kidding man? So I'm watching, right now, I'm watching entourage for the first time ever. I'm one of the last people in the world to actually watch this show. And you know, like Ari Gold, who's like this agent and he goes out and gets these movie stars and connects them with like the movie studios
and the, you know, just pulls it all together and gets these people famous and gets them these huge productions. I want to be the Ari Gold guy who discovered Eric Dubrovsky and connected him with like universal music and got him a giant record deal because that motherfucker just blew my fucking mind blew my mind that was insane. Like what the hell fucking fucked. I, I'm done with this. Congratulations. I enjoyed doing this podcast with you. This was fun. Good fucking bye. I'm going home. I'm still wiping the nuts.
I'm still wiping the tears out of my eyes because like I was that blown away by this. I get it was written by chat GTP. Doesn't mean anything. He's still curated it. He's still put it all together.
And then he put the freaking, he sang that. He sang it. And it was amazing.
The way that sound did. And remember, this doesn't exist. He's not like copying someone. He just like, that was fucking nuts. It was so good. So good. I got it. I don't have words to describe how good that was. That was so fucking good. I think I'm looking for like the words. It's like horribly amazing. I don't know. Something along those lines.
I mean, I need like a breath. I need to like gather my thoughts. You know what? What's the little for Clems? Talk about yourself. My God. Yeah, I'm not for Clems, dude. I shit right in my pants. That was Eric fucking du Bromsky. When you say his name, you take a mother fucking shot.
“That's how it works. That's how it works.”
I wasn't going to drink, but I might start drinking now.
Right? Right? I'm like questioning all my life choices right now. You know, I feel like I should have like focused more on being a cool singer. Because like Eric's going to go places. Oh, shit. Just for everyone out there that doesn't know. Go look up Eric Dubrovsky on Spotify or anywhere that you listen to your music.
He does have his own album that you put out independently. So feel free to go give it a listen. He does some pretty cool stuff. Eric Dubrovsky without them knowing by chat, GTP. Just a great addition to F&K Darkside. It's an eerie song too. Got it. So true. Like every fucking thing on that I'm like, oh fuck.
Yeah, like, I'm going to be like, it's happened. Push memes into their heads. Oh my, like, holy shit. He's, it's exactly right. Yeah, man. Ah, Sam, I'm shocked. So good. We're so fucked.
So coming up next. Spitting on the same theme here of Darkside and Dark Souls. Yeah, this is a great one. This has been covered so many times by so many different people. Originally he was written by tears for fears,
but the most popular recent version is by Gary jewels. We all know it. It's been on movie trailers. It's been in the background of weird movies like The Crazy's
“and actually a whole bunch of other Donnie Darko I believe.”
This is going to be actually a new singer to the Friday night karaoke group. Singing out of his car. This is going to be Ray Ortiz with Mad World. By again, tears for fears slash Gary jewels. Give it a listen.
[Music] Who around me of familiar faces? What are faces? Brighten early for the daily races?
Going nowhere?
Going nowhere?
“There tears are filling up their glasses.”
No expression. No expression.
I might head out one and drown my sorrow.
No tomorrow. No tomorrow. And I find it kind of funny. I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.
I find it right until you. I find it hard to take. And people run and circles. It's so very, very. Mad World.
Mad World.
“Children waiting for the day they feel good.”
Happy birthday. Happy birthday.
And if you look at every child tree.
Sit and listen. Sit and listen. Went to school and I was very nervous. No one knew me. No one knew me.
Hello teacher, tell me what's my lesson. The right through you. The cry through me. And I find it kind of funny. I find it kind of sad.
“The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had.”
I find it hard to tell you.
I find it hard to take. And people run and circles. It's so very, very. Mad World. Mad World.

And run away before I know my heart is just too dark to care. I can't destroy what isn't fair. Deliver me into my faith. If I'm alone I cannot hate. I don't deserve to have you.
My smile was taken long off. I can't cheat out but never know.
I still press your letters to my lips. And cherish them and part of me, the day before every kiss. I couldn't face a life without your life. But all of that was wrapped apart when you refused to fight.
“So save your breath I will not hear. I think I made it very clear. You couldn't hate enough to love.”
Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you were my friends. Then I get hurt you in the end.
And never claim to be a thing. Oh, my old man, it's won't go up and down but I'm off to let you go.
Don't wake yourself against my stones. It's better pity in my soul. You never needed any help. You told me I could take yourself. I want to listen to your change. You ran away, you're all the same. Hands of light to keep control.
“Oh, my love was born as long ago. You still can't, don't ever let me know.”
If you still can't, don't ever let me know. I love how it just got more and more powerful as it is when on. You felt it. You really felt it at the end. Oh, yes, I feel you. I'm with you. That's really good. You're not in a low and tall. We're with you.
“We're with you. We're with you. Yeah, that was so Davis was snuff by slipknot. That's what I was saying. Corey Taylor is just a phenomenal artist and he puts together these crazy things.”
I don't know if you know, slipknot they always were like their masks. They never like take them off on stage and they're always like beating each other with baseball bats and stuff.
So it's easier to look at them and be like, yeah, they're just a crazy metal band that, you know, or a bunch of crazy people. I mean they are. Yeah, they're absolutely. But you know, then they're doing their own stuff and you know, it's totally different. You know, you're like, you know, just a really talented singer. So, but the lyrics themselves are actually massively deep and massively relatable. That was really good. Yeah, really good song and Joel really, really made it is and really embodied. And I also love.
And if you noticed, but that was another karaoke song. It was, there was also life from the Chevrolet. It was good. I like this. I'm after something. You know what? They sound they live. You know what? We should do an addition to doing another whole thing of moderators, which apparently we already did today. And another whole thing that we do that whole thing of life from the car, you know, like, I literally just wrote that for the theme suggestion.
Did you really?
So I wouldn't forget that. That was like literally like, you know, that's now I have to think of a different one. Damn it.
“So you know, I was going to wait till the end of like, exactly like now it's yours. You said it first. That's why I had to show you like I didn't have time to write it.”
I think I just want to show you like I didn't first. Oh, look, it's mini Rubin. So like you're like Rubin sandwich and that's like the Rubin little sandwich. Yeah, mini bites. Yeah, mini bites. Yeah.
Thanks.
Thank you Joel Davis with snuff by slipknot coming up next. Oh my god. I love this song and I've never actually tried it because, well, I mean, I've tried it like in the car in the shower.
But I've never tried recording it because I don't hate all of you that much to try to record it with my voice, my voice sucks with this song. You know, bad wolves covered it. They did an amazing cover. So many other people have covered it. This is the cranberries with zombie. It's a really hard song. So are you going to do a meal recording in the shower of this? Is that what you're like, I don't understand how you would go with this. No, no, I was saying I've sung this song many times in the shower and the car, you know, anywhere. I've sung this song one at the time whenever I hear it and I'm, you know, by myself, I'll sing this song.
But I will never try it in like live karaoke or definitely I got this song all day long. You do. Oh yeah. Oh my god. I'm holding you to it when I'm holding you to it when I'm going to be right that one down. Please. All right for everyone for everyone for everyone. I am going to be in New York and Connecticut from the first to the 15th of August and we'll put up a little post for like a night that we're going to do karaoke and that's local. Please come out with us. And Joe has offered to sing zombie in front of everyone and we are going to record it and stream it live to the Friday night karaoke group.
Make sure you join the Friday night karaoke group on Facebook. So you can take part in this live and put your awesome comments. You're so awesome. I can't wait. I love it. We'll do it. All right. Wait, beginning of August, right?
“Yeah, beginning of August. It's going to be a, actually in the New York portion of it's going to be like the first to the first to the fifth or something, right?”
Exactly. So sometime in there, well, we'll post it up at sometime mid July. Right. Anyone that's local. Please come out and hang out with us, drinks and stuff for on us. Just come out and have a good time.
Oh, yes. This is our very first post in Friday night karaoke.
I love that. I love that. I really do. It's so great when we get the very first post and we get to feature you on the Friday night karaoke. Wait, wait. Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. It's not just the first post that we're putting on the podcast.
“It's a very first post in the group. Oh, that's so cool. I got featured right off the bat, huh?”
Yes, that's great. Instead of feature, this is going to be Jamie Marie was zombie by the cranberries. All right. Give it a listen. Do it. And the violence comes such silence who are we mistaken.
But you see, it's not me, it's not my family. You're here, you're here, they are fighting with their tanks and their bombs and their bombs. And their guns in your head in your head. They are crying. What's in your head in your head? Zombie, zombie, zombie, what's in your head?
Zombie, zombie, zombie, what's in your head? Another mother's breaking heart is taken over. When the violence comes in silence, we must be mistaken. It's the same old theme since 1916, in your head in your head. They're still fighting with their tanks and their bombs.
Their bombs and their guns in your head in your head.
What's in your head? In your head, zombie, zombie, zombie, what's in your head?
In your head, zombie, zombie, what's in your head?
“That's awesome. That's why I don't cover the song.”
Just to clarify, my version is not going to sound anywhere as near as nice as that version. When I get into that part, sounds like a donkey. Oh, I don't want to hear you cover it just for that. That was Jamie Marie with Zombie, my cranberries, and she's absolutely crushing you. If you're going to go into our group and you're going to post the very first song you've ever posted into the group on the theme of the week, nonetheless, you're starting right off with like, oh my god, there's a theme.
Let me post the theme. Let me have this and let me put it out there. My very first song.
“That's how we recommend it. And we will likely put it on the fake and podcast.”
That was so good. Please don't let that be the last song you post. That was fantastic. I love the word phenomenal. I love the word phenomenal, you know what? I'm just going to, I'm going to, I'm just going to copy writer, trademarker, whatever the word phenomenal. I'm not, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. So good. So good. So again, Jamie Marie with Zombie by cranberries and that brings us to the time. There is only one more song. One more song. Make it good, dude. So good. And when you're thinking, this is this week is F&K dark side and it's obviously dark side stuff, you know, stuff that's evil stuff that's scary stuff that's bad.
And what's worse than a Disney villain? What is worse than someone from Disney that is trying to kill innocent little crabs. And my best. Yeah, it's all messed up. Anyway, this next one is going to be from Fred and I karaoke co-founder Joe Rubin. Oh, no. So, from the little mermaid, he'd give it a listen. So, let's listen.
“And I'm gonna play bozo. You have to chop and do so little fish. First I cut off the heads and I pull out the balls. I must be sister, Lordease.”
I have a solo, boss on. I pull out the balls. I pull out the pot and I hold them on front. Got a little fish. He's done, dude. Is something for the things of aliens?
Prepare the me classic technique. First you bound the fish with a merit. When you splash to the skin, give a belly a scare. Then you rub some salt in cause it makes it sense nice.
Is that all? I have a miss one. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, the yeses. That was freaking great. I love that. He's an underrated villain. Like everyone thinks Ursula is the real villain there. But this asshole is like killing all of Ariel's friends. Yeah, eating them. It's a little fucked up, but this person gives people a fighting chance. She's like, you know, it's make a deal. She doesn't even kill them. She just puts them in her garden.
This is literally like chops them up.
Yeah, I mean, like when I see Sebastian, I'm like, well, a little butter, a little garlic.
You know, let's go. They were tried mermaid before, but, you know, I haven't opened mine short. Really, even in Japan, there's no like sushi, conveyor belt sort of thing with. I got to ask Prince Eric how he likes, oh, that's different. So anyway, that's it. That's the FNK dark side. That's the podcast. That's it. We're going home. I actually think that Joe and I both decided we don't need to go back and forth. We like literally both had the idea to seem.
I think this is what we're going with. So for anyone that doesn't know, we normally will go back and forth and kind of deliberate on which and debate on which team of the week should
“be next in the group, but I think we have already decided it's going to be FNK, karaoke. And that's not Cardau. Okay, it's Cardio key. And it's not about C, but C, R, E, okay, E, R,”
E, O, K, R, yeah, because C, R, O, K, just sounds like, yeah, is there any other like parts to this is just record whatever Sony want in the car. Yeah, any song or just has to be recorded in the car. Yeah, we can take a five side a couple of safety things like not while you're personally leaving. Okay, because I don't want to get sued, right? Like no, no, no, no, like my thing Joe said, right, you know, I don't need any of that. Yeah, I'm a little bit closer. No songs while you're driving, please, just parked only.
And please record it in the car. It doesn't matter if you're doing it on speaker, if you're doing it with a headset, but please record those songs in the car. You're going to hashtag FNK, C, A, R, E, O, K, E will have that up. Well, to my tonight, your your morning. So we'll have that up in the group in a bit and you'll see it and please get those recordings rocking. I wonder which kind of vehicles going to have the best acoustics. You know, you know, I have an outie and I have a feeling that it's not going to help my voice.
Maybe obviously I need to be like, oh, shit. I sound fantastic in here. I bought all this fancy equipment so that I can make my voice sound a little bit better, just like incrementally a tiny bit better, you know, for specifically for Friday night karaoke. And now I'm going to go back to my freaking Bluetooth headset in the car. There you go. Perfect. Let's see how this goes. I am in the car, plenty. So, oh, actually, no, this is great. You know what? I'm actually going to France tomorrow. So, well, I'm going to be in the back of the Uber.
“Oh, you know what, did you should do it on the plane?”
Oh, all the other people in the economy were pissed. Just make it a single long. Get everybody else like involved in the songs somehow, you know.
And because we let our first class passengers do, but in much of whatever they won't, right?
There he is. Yeah, you know what? I'm guaranteed if you like started busting out like don't stop believing. By the time you got to the end, the entire plane would be fucking singing with you.
“That would be really cool, social experiment.”
