President Trump says new talks with Tehran are the last chance for Iran to forge a deal and avoid escalation of U.S. strikes on the country. Trump has made similar claims before he says he expects negotiations that will reopen the state of Formus and address U.S. concerns about Iran's nuclear program. Two Republican senators who threatened to block acting attorney general Todd Blanch's bid
to lead the Justice Department. Now, say they will vote to advance his nomination. The announcement comes after Blanch issued an order yesterday formally rescinding the $1.8
billion anti-weaponization fund to compensate President Trump's allies.
Trump says he didn't know anything about the deal.

that he's already said. Then when he said it was okay." The fund was created as part of a settlement with the IRS, another part providing tax immunity for Trump, his sons, and businesses remains in place. Two people have died as part of the cyclists' barises outbreak in Michigan, according to state health officials, as NPR's Maria Cadoya reports official say both people had
underlying medical conditions. Cyclists' barises isn't usually fatal, but it can be more severe in people who are very young, elderly, or have compromised immune systems, says Dr. Cynthia Sears with Johns Hopkins University. She says left untreated the intestinal illness can linger, with symptoms seeming to clear
only to recur. "Even in someone who's perfectly healthy, they can have intermittent diarrhea for weeks to months." She says when treated with antibiotics, people usually recover fully within days.

reported more than 11,000 cases. "I wanted a person that saw that over the weekend, you know, had diarrhea for weeks." Melani says he's starting to see fewer patients with the illness since a peak three weeks ago. Maria Cadoya and Pianus.
Iraq says more than 21 million people have visited the Holy City of Carbola to commemorate

The price of oil fell today after President Trump said he would hold off an ordering new strikes against Iran. It's NPR. Major League Soccer will have a new commissioner for the first time since 1999, and Pianus Becky Sullivan reports League owners selected Larry Berg, co-owner of the Los Angeles football
club. Eric will be just the third commissioner in MLS history. He made his money in private equity, and his co-owner of L.A.F.C. he has been a major voice in changes adopted by the League in recent years.
It's a critical time for MLS, which hopes for a boost in its intense and ratings after
this summer's World Cup. Next year, the League will switch its season calendar to align with Europe's professional leagues, and aheadly challenges like a new Union contract that could alter roster rules and spending limits and a new media rights deal when the current Apple TV agreement expires in 29.
The outgoing commissioner, Don Garber, has overseen MLS for 27 years, guiding the league as it grew from 10 teams to 30. Garber's contract runs through next summer, though he could step away sooner.
