Iran is laying out several demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, Toronto's calling
“on the United States to lift its naval blockade in sanctions with trawled forces from”
the region and release frozen Iranian assets. It's also demanding war reparations and an end to attacks on its allies. We are still having vessels being targeted by drones and by missiles and a number of tankers transiting through the Strait is massively reduced compared to what it was pre-conflict. On Wednesday, 13 Friday this week, U.S. facilitated transits of about 11, 13, and then 15 were planned last night, so we assume that these have been successful. Vice President J.D. flames or because they chose to ignore evacuation orders. Roughly 40,000 residents in the city of Pentecton have been told to be prepared. The window to register to vote will soon close in some of the last statewide primary elections of the year. NPR's Hansi Lowlong reports on the upcoming deadlines. If you are eligible to vote in this Tuesday's primary and Connecticut, NPR's registration ends on Monday at 12 noon local time.
