On today's part of my take presented by draft kings, it's NFL free agency and we have our good friend
Nate Tyson on the show to break it all down. Winners, losers, best fits, teams that he thinks
are going to be active in the next few days. We're going to talk about everything. We also have hot seat cool throne. We've got some college basketball conference championship week, World Baseball Classic, guys on chicks. And it's all brought to you by our friends at every man, Jack. Your grown man making better decisions about what you put in your body,
“are you paying attention to what goes on it? Here's the thing. Using grooming products with harsh”
chemicals is like washing your car with dish soap. Sure it gets the job done, but you're stripping away the protection and doing long-term damage. Most guys think they have to choose products that work or products that are better for you. Every man jack says that's BS. Their clean, naturally derived formulas have none of the garbage the other guys use. No parabens, no dyes, no shortcuts, and they're incredibly effective. Their coconut-based body wash cleans while hydrating.
Their new 48-hour antiperspirant has unbelievable glide and staying power. And every man jack, clean, effective, made for men. What more could you want? Start your new routine and find every man jack at Walmart Target Amazon Croger, wherever men's personal care products are sold. Okay, let's go! [Music]
Welcome to part of my take presented by draft kings, the crown is yours. Today is Wednesday, March 11th, and the Baltimore Ravens have ruined free agency. So we're actually recorded the full show. You're going to get two intros. The other intro was genosmith leading off, but late on Tuesday night, the Raiders put out that Max Crosby, the deal has been rescinded because he potentially failed the physical in Baltimore. He was in Baltimore.
I'm calling bullshit on all this PFT. This is crazy. You can't do this. All the dominoes went from Max Crosby, and now they got to redo everything, even though nothing's going to happen. Yeah, well, nothing's going to happen. But Tyler Linderbaum has the opportunity to do the funniest thing of all time. There's a bill like, "Oh, the Ravens, you got all this room?"
I'll go back. Yeah. It's weird. It's not the first time that the Ravens have done this. One thing I
learned to this sort of deal is they really trust the doctors in Baltimore. Yeah, so there's be like the third, maybe even fourth time that has happened. It happened to Ryan Grant in 2018, and then two years later, Michael Brockers, same thing happened there, and then there was one
“back in like the late 90s, I think, or maybe early 2000s, where some of the things happened.”
But yeah, the deal is not done until the doctor's sign off. But imagine being the team doctor after the biggest deal in a long time that the Ravens have done it a very long time. As ever, they shook hands on it. Max comes to Baltimore. You go under the exam, and then you're like, yeah, he's got a bad maniscus, and then they tell the front office that, that's got to be like standing on the table and being like, "This physical is so bad. We shouldn't go through this trade."
Either one, they really trust the doctor to believe them on that, or two, it's bullshit, and it's made up, and they're secretly planning a different move, and they're using the physical as it excuse to get out of it. Tray Hedrickson. Yeah, the thing that I don't understand, I'm not a doctor, don't pretend to be one, and maybe there's different physicals for different guys, but Max draws me head surgery like a month or two months ago. Of course he's not going to,
of course he's not going to pass a physical, right? Yeah, I mean, he had a different surgery than he initially thought, but it's like everybody knew that he had the Manuscus repair surgery. In January, it's three to four months recovery, so it's like no dub, maybe the to the Ravens just not realize he had the surgery, and then he came in, not healing the way that
They thought it would heal, like maybe Max cross me is just that much of a ma...
surgery, and then like a month later he's out there doing the wind sprint, so it's not healing. I don't know, but yeah, it does seem like it would be convenient. I feel like anytime you trade
for a guy like this, you could always say at the last minute, yeah, we're not going to do it because
of the physical. Right, and it's, it does, it is a ripple effect where other teams that were maybe
“in on Max cross me cowboys, eagles, bears, there's other teams that were, I mean, I think I even”
heard like the Bengals called about him. I, you don't know how much like teams are actually in if they just kick the tires, but every other team that was potentially in on Max cross me, having Max cross me go to the Ravens, then having free agency start going plan B all across the board, then Max cross me potentially can be traded again, which is crazy. Or the winners to just keep them, maybe the raiders are like, hey, Max, I know you don't want to be here, but we signed
like $300 million worth of dudes, we should be better theoretically. You want to just stick around. Yeah, they have still have caps. They still have caps, I believe. So yeah, I mean, it's interesting because you said, you said the Bengals, and if any owner would be interested in a scratching dent open box Max cross me, that would probably be the Bengals. Yeah, I got a great deal. Yeah, yeah, let's do it. It's, it's just nuts because it was, and if you're a Ravens fan,
that poor Ravens fan, I'm sure you guys saw it who shot out that guy, I'm going to find him. I, I think I reach. It's like Kyle Hamilton, D, P, O, Y. Yeah, Hamilton, underscore D, P, O, Y, Nate, the Ravens fan. He, he tweeted, if the Ravens happen to trade for Max cross me, go completely shave my head. He did shave his head three hours ago. He posted it. And he does not look good bald. And then like he needs to, he needs to do something about this. I think everyone
should get in line. I don't know. I can't, I'm not plugged in enough to know exactly the inner workings, but it does feel like something's fishy here. And maybe it's just the Ravens using the loophole of, hey, we can see, we can trade for Max cross me, see how the rest of free agency plays out, knowing that this stupid legal tampering and then official free agency. There's a two-day
“gap, and then just figure it out later. And that's what they're doing now. They can figure it out later.”
Yeah, I, I don't know, I guess we'll find out more after all the reports come out. And when people leak select things to certain reporters, we'll get a bigger, a better picture of what it is. But the statement that the Raiders put out said a lot, which is just like they backed out of the trade. We have no further comment. Yeah. So we, I don't think that the Raiders put that statement out. If they find something genuinely concerning on like the MRI, it's like, oh, his knees
really, really bad now. It's not going to work out. That to me sounds like a pissed off Mark Davis. Yeah. Hank, what if his knees actually fucked up? And there's nothing nefarious. Maybe Tom Brady was doing the right thing. How so? Not trading into the Patriots. Maybe I, I mean, I, I hope his need for his sake is is fine. I feel like it is. Well, now I'm just like, I don't, I, I said on Monday show like I, I, I think
it's stupid when you're in on a guy. If you're a fan of a team, you're in on a guy. And then you don't get him. And then you immediately cope by saying, oh, we didn't want him anyway. I was like, yeah, I did want Max Cross. We, I want Max Cross. We're on the bears. Now, now I, I think I, I do. I don't
know. Is he going to go for a first and second? I don't know. It's got to be somebody that's got
a lot of job security as a GM who's going to say like, this is worth the chance. Because if they get it wrong, everyone's going to be like, yeah, no shit. The raven sent him back because they didn't trust it. And you thought you were smarter. But if you, if you get it right, then you're genius. So, I think there will be teams that are interested. I don't know if the price is going to be the same though. I also think that there should be a new rule for the digital era in NFL. If you post a
13 minute goodbye video on social media like Max Cross be did, that should just be trade final. You can't come back on that. Because this is most like, I actually am rooting for Max Cross be on the raiders now because that will be so awkward and funny. If he has to show up and be like,
yeah, all that, all that shit, like, let's just pretend it never happened. I'm a rater for life.
Do I'm coming home video tomorrow? Yeah. Does he get a tribute video when he goes back to team facility? When does he get a tribute video if they play the ravens this year? From the ravens. Yeah. Right. I'm saying with the guy just shaved head. I listen, if you do a
“13 minute long goodbye to your team, that's fine. But you should also have to do a 13 minute”
goodbye video to Baltimore. Yeah. Way back. Yeah. Absolutely. And also, he should, he's got long hair, locks the love man. You should cut that hair off. He's been in the fan that shaved their head.
Yeah.
everybody talking about Baltimore. Well, he did for one day. Hell, that was it. What do you think the
“value on a on Max is now? Like, you think that they're going to get the same that I don't”
the ravens offer. Like, he's like a used car. The second you drive it off the lot goes down
a value. I don't know how you could. I don't know how you possibly could get the same value. Like, it just won't. There's just no way someone's going to offer the same thing. If the ravens, you know, physical was was a no. I mean, they could, all right. So they could get two first rounders still. But it would be maybe a worse first rounder. You know, I mean, that was a lot of the conversation was the ravens had the draft capital where it's like their their pick is decent this year
and not picking at the bottom. So it's so weird. This is, I mean, again, it's so weird because of the dominoes that go after that and everyone who makes their moves after and everyone who feels out their roster after. And now even, I mean, I guess the one thing you could say, the ravens didn't do this in like in a various ways. They also missed out on some free agents because they thought they're going to have Max cross me. That would be my argument for any conspiracy theorists
that the ravens did this intentionally is like, they probably could assign some guys that they weren't able to then sign because they had Max cross me on the books. But if the ravens did this intentionally, that would also just piss off their fan base, their fan base got correct, excited about Max cross me joining them. Like, ask Stavi how he's doing. I'm sure it's not good. You want to call that like real quick. Yeah. Yeah. Give him a call and might want to check in. Just real. It's just the
way he's going to pick up because I texted him and he was like, he was so pumped. Yeah. But if it's like that sucks. If the raiders were trying to like sweep one under the rug, I don't even understand how that would work because they were the ones that were pushing Max to get the surgery last year. Max was like, let me keep playing. You know, I don't think the raiders would have, it makes
“no sense for the raiders to sweep anything under the rug. I think I had surgery. I don't know. He had”
it was open. He had surgery. The whole thing is like this. I think it's like one of two things. One of two things. Hold that thought. He's not going to pick up. There's no way. Because this is like there's only one reason I'd be calling and it's like the troll call. He's probably like in a sold out arena right now. What's going on, Hank? Victor women down the dirty. Yeah, no pick up. Okay. Yeah, he said he, when I said congrats on Max, Crosby, you fuck her. He said he's the
fucking man, a perfect raven. Nope. I guess he won't. Not a raven. Not a raven that we don't get the the sealers ravens TJ Max match up. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. What were your two thoughts? So it's one of two things, really. It's got to be. Oh, he said, oh, he just texted me back in a car right now. Unfortunately, but this sucks dick in his weird. That's my official statement. sucks dick and his weird. Yeah. Your official statement has been logged. This sucks dick
and his weird. Okay. What were your two thoughts? Oh, basically either they found something
fucked up that they didn't think was there and it's within their rights to to nullify the trade.
“And that's why like this, this two day period is so weird because something like this can happen”
and then nothing got, has been reported over the last day. Actually has to happen. The nothing's finally yet. Right. So either one, they found something weird on the, on the physical and they're like, yeah, we can't do this. We can't justify it. Or two, they have been talking to somebody secretly this whole time and it's been a employee in which case like I feel like that would really fuck up the Raven's ability to do deals
like this in the future. Yeah. He probably just failed the physical. We're probably being to something's up. He probably just, he probably isn't healing the way that they thought he was and they're like, yeah, we're not going to do this. But I pointed out that this is like remarkably early, like the Raven's usually wait till week three till their whole roster is injured. Yeah. Now he says so much hustle that he's injured before he even plays it down. Yeah, the, um, it is,
now that I'm thinking about it too with this whole like the legal tampering and no deals can
be signed to Wednesday, incredible window for anyone who has buyers or mors. You just do this every time.
Just like, yeah, I'll give you this deal. And then just like, I slept on it. Oh, wait, furthermore, from stock to furthermore, if we don't acquire past Russia, I'm going to kill myself. Okay. Okay. Okay. So they got to get a pat. Ravens. You've heard his demands. Get a past Russia. Okay. Two, two last things real quick. We talked. So we're about to do the other intro of the show, talking about Gino Smith. We then talked some free agency. We got night, night,
tights. We did mention that the Eagles hadn't signed anyone after we finished recording. The Eagles
Did sign anyone or did sign someone.
Should we keep going over that you want to talk? Give us your great on week one.
Howie. Howie. Okay. That's a great. Yeah. The official grade is howie. Yeah. I love it. Howie. Also, the last thing was Zach that girl released official statement from Monday's show who said
“she couldn't believe that debate happened. I think she wants to go on a date because she said,”
I don't know how guys listen to two and a half hours of this bullshit. Listen, tell you, we agree. Like, we agree that this is just junk that we're putting out there. But she's like, I respect the fact that that many people listen. So it sounds like you kind of got to ask around on a date. I think I think she recognized we got where we're putting a good product on the airways pick at.
No, that she said the exact opposite. I thought she was backpelling off saying that. No, no,
she said it's it's it's insane that people listen to this show for as long as they listen to this show. But the fact that there's that many, she has at least tip or cap to that. It was nice. But oh, I missed right. I thought it was like a she thought it was so bad that it's so good. Maybe that is true. Well, I think she needs to just maybe give it another shot because today we've got guys on chicks, which is a segment that she might find more enjoyable than the other. If you can't hit three point four,
it's Ali. If you can't handle us at our I show speed versus Trump. You don't deserve us with two, 41 year olds in a 33 year old furiously debating the merits of laser tag.
Okay. Let's do the other intro. This is going to be fun. So here's our other intro.

Today is Wednesday, March 11th and NFL free agency is here, boys and Gino Smith is a New York jet. Congratulations to Gino.
“He's coming home. It feels like a storybook ending for Gino Smith in the jets, right?”
Beautiful. It's coming home. Gino is the bridge quarterback. Mames. Congratulations. He got your guy. You got him. Mames. Yep. Big two days of free agency. Glad we're starting with this. My question. Well, yeah, what else do we start with? Is Gino Smith the next Sam Donald? He could be. He could be. He could be. I mean, of course, we got to start with this. Gino back to the big Apple. Is you kidding me? Huge. The jets are the straw that serves the
drink in the NFL. It's huge. Are you excited, memes? I'm okay with it. Okay. It's a vet men deal. Better than any other choice out there right now. Yeah. Year two of the rebuild. That's just all I keep saying to myself. Year two of the women. It's a good process. It's good. What is back showing them? Jet sign, nation right. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. You're going to give you a little quick nation right? I don't know. It means act after them up one way or another. Yeah. The bear's
yeah. Nation right. Ball Hawk will make big plays. Can get burned to a lot. Interception. Interception. Yes. That's actually huge. I like the shine right. I think he was he had a he had a very good year for the bear. He's he's he's good player. You guys. Ish. You have nation right? You got Minko right? Got Minko. So you guys have players that are capable of intercepting the football. Yep. Got the Mario Davis. That was big. And here's a text from from Gino Smith. This is from his own fingertips.
Complete full circle moment back to where it all began. I'm excited to connect with my new teammates and coaches and everyone in the building as well as build a new relationship with the fan base and community. What did he mean by connect? Connect? Not not just to get support his eyes. This up. You troll. Yeah. That's that's fucked up Hank. Come on Hank. You said connect. He was excited to connect with his new teammates. We should talk about tomorrow Davis more being 37 years
old and still being the NFL. That's pretty fucking impressive. Yeah. I mean that's insane. It is. So it means are you looking forward to building a new relationship with Gino? Yeah. I'm fired up at the time. All right. At the time. That's great now. The time is right now. At the time. At the time.
“At the time right now. I. I. It sounds like that's what you're gonna say in September when you're like,”
I was fired up at the time. At the time. I was fired up. It means you have been lashing out. I've noticed a couple of tweets that you put out there. Number one Gino did the
Prayer emoji thing because of the jets tweeted out a video of this is where I...
And then memes you replied, I will uper deck any Wendy's for you. Yep.
Care to elaborate on that. That's when you take a shit on the top of the door. I know what an uper deck is. Yeah. And when you flush it it's supposed to explode. Why are you uper decking Wendy's? Wendy's was a trash in him. Wendy's was trash in Gino. Gino. Yeah. All for him a job. Yeah. Oh. I missed that one. So he was the sign between the jets and Wendy's. Yeah. And Wendy's is broke right now. Okay. So good decision Gino. And what about the, uh, what about the Carson
Wence? Uh, yeah. I saw a report that Carson wants going to be the backup. So Gino Smith's starter Carson Wence backup. Those are probalers. I mean, Gino Smith can still play 2017. That's a, that's a lethal lethal, lethal roster. Yeah. I mean, actually, the 2018, I don't know. I don't know what we're talking
about. That's a good point by memes. Yeah. True. Basically beat the bears.
Kakers. Yeah. Basically beat the bears. You did tell me. I actually think Gino's is like still
“going to be fine. I, I, I, I think that was a shit situation last year. We've agreed to forget”
that he was on the Raiders. The peak hero was the coach. So as far as I'm concerned, memes, you're taking Gino from the Seahawks directly from the Seahawks to the jets. And that's a good, that's a good deal. Yeah. I picked a real bad day to where all the Seattle stuff. Yeah, but you, this is a, this is a, this is a good deal. I, I, I think it's a good deal. I just, I don't know. And the way that is breaking down, it feels like, so the Raiders are paying almost the entire
salary, right? Yeah. And the reason why they traded for them is because the Vikings had interest in them. And like, if he went to the Vikings, everybody would just be saying, Kevin O'Connell is going to fix them. But now that he's on the jets, people are just going to say, I can't imagine being a jet fan. That's where you think that we were the anger. Like hypothetically, if something different had happened, then we would be reacting differently to it. But what's a situation that
wouldn't have gotten this reaction? And Rogers. Yeah. And Rogers. No way. But people say, Hall of Famer could fix that problem. I'm not just like, Gino Smith was already there. I'm not entirely sure what you mean though. You're saying that it's not fair that the media would have said, Kevin O'Connell will do a good job with Gino Smith. But yeah, because he signs with the jets, people are like, Oh, Gino Smith won't be a good quarterback for the jets. That seems like,
yeah, really fair. But like, Gino Smith has played for the jets in the past in Kevin O'Connell.
“And what happened? And what happened? And he wasn't very good for the jets. No, no, what happened?”
He got punched. He got punched. And then Ryan Fitzpatrick had a career year. Right. But Kevin O'Connell does have a track record of how he's JJ McCarthy doing. Right. But Sam John just want to Super Bowl with another team. Right. I do about that. By the way, he's the not the guy. Just so we know it's a bit far. It's a bit far. You're lashing out there. That's a bit far. Either way, fun free agency starts. So we're going to get into everything with Nate Tyson where he
breaks it all down. But the Raiders, Tyler Linda Linda bomb, huge contract. Yeah. Which actually was a great contract for him because he's I think he's 25 years old. He's going to be a free agent again. Essentially after two years or like after two years, he could basically say I want an extension or, you know, get more money. So he's going to double dip again. He's going to dip again. Yeah. And I like that the Raiders got. There's certain teams that just needed to get
competent guys on the roster. It feels like the Raiders did that. Feels like the jets did that. Feels like the Titans did that. It felt to me like the Raiders were just doing a full team transplant. Yeah. It's like our team was very bad last year. We're going to go out. We're going to
spend $280 million to get people who weren't on the Raiders to be on the Raiders. Yep. And therefore,
we should be a lot better at football. They did get some good, like Quity Pad, I think is a good player. Yep. Linda bomb is a very good player. And every dollar spent by Tom Brady getting these types of good players is a dollar that is well almost worth double because it's got the added bonus of
“keeping them off the Patriots. Hmm. Yeah. In fact, memes. That's you should be excited about that.”
Like Tom Brady elected to trade Geno Smith to you because he knew that would be bad for the Patriots. If Geno Smith was in that division. So really good. That's a really good spin zone. Yeah. That is true. But I Tom Brady also doesn't like the jets. Right. Also true. Also true. Fair point. Um, do you guys want to do some winners? I thought the Panthers getting Jalen Phillips, even though is a lot of money. I feel like you got to do it so much. So much money. But
cap one up. And I feel like you have to do those type of moves, especially when you are a playoff team from last year. Your defense was a problem. You had, you have like a few defensive guys. You need to fill a lot of holes. He's young. He's versatile. The Eagles probably would have liked to have them back, right? Not at that price. Not at that price. But I'm saying the Eagles would have liked to have them back. They were trying to get him back. And then the
Panthers gave him that price.
another third. Like I actually just get third round picks every year. But if I were GM. By the way,
the compensatory picks are bullshit. The bears got absolutely screwed with the Ian Cunningham thing where Matt Ryan basically said, I'm not making any of the decisions. And we'll just get rid of the system if that's that's case. But the Panthers, uh, I like to move for Jalen Phillips. I would have, if I were GM in the NFL, I would just try to copy my work off of all the good GMs. Like I'd be like, Oh, how is how he wants to resign Jalen Phillips? I'll give him more money slightly.
Yeah. Yeah. Like just any any good GM, if they're interested in it all, I should make well
“here's a little bit more money. Right? It's kind of sound strategy. I think it was a lot more money.”
A lot more money. Sometimes you got to pay a lot more money for it. Also, all these, we say is every year, all these contracts are just, they mean nothing right now. Like the the the maximum of money gets reported. And then they get into the details. And it's like, Oh, they can cut them after two years. I'm seeing more and more of the, uh, like total value and then guaranteed. Yeah, total value one is just completely made. It's just totally made. It's just totally made. 190 million dollars
with 25 million guaranteed. I think, uh, you know what, I'm going to consider that a job, uh, a war one by us against the NFL media. Yes. Over the last 10 years, when we started the show, nobody
reported the guaranteed money. We could never figure it out. And, uh, and idiots like us complained
enough and told like the NFL reporters, the, uh, the rap reports and the shifters of the world that when you report these contracts, we know we're on to you. The agents are telling you, it's $150 million. It's really only 40 million. Can we please get the real numbers? We won that war. Congratulations. Yeah. The, the jail and Phil's contract is $120 million reported. It's $80 million guaranteed. Which is a good amount. That's a lot of guarantee. It's definitely a good amount.
But it's like, that's not 120 million that we initially saw. Um, okay. Other winners from
“free agency. I, I think I would put the Falcons just because they got all the left handed quarterbacks.”
They got all the left handed play. They've cornered the market. I, I don't really know what to say other than that with the Falcons, because they, I just still can't believe the course of events that have occurred with the Falcons in the fact that they signed Kirk Cousins to a ton of money drafted Michael Penex, who's been injured his whole career, then got injured and they're like, well, then we'll get to it. It's the funniest thing. It's crazy. It's very funny. I, I think that
they are, um, and we're going to talk about it a little bit with Nate Tyson, but they've got a left handed center. Yeah. And I think they were the only team that had a left handed center and left handed quarterback. Now they've got a left handed quarterback and a left handed backup quarterback to go along with their left handed center. Um, it's a weird, it's a weird fit. I don't think that too can throw the ball down field at all, um, but he can, like, do swing patches to, uh,
to be John. Mm-hm. And that's pretty much what, what they're going to ask him to do there. I don't think this hip can get better. I don't think that too is going to, well, he's got, yeah,
“like a mechanical robot hip. I don't think it's going to get that. I think what we saw from”
two is what we're going to get. The dolphins signing Malik Willis, I'm happy from Malik Willis to get that money. Part of me is like, like, does feel like Malik Willis went from a bad situation in Tennessee to a good situation in Green Bay and potentially back to a bad situation in the dolphins, but he's getting paid this time. Yeah. But you know what I mean? Like, if he, it's going to be a little bit harder for him to have the impact. Maybe I'll be proven wrong with a rebuilding roster,
like the dolphins, right? But the dolphins GM and Jeff Hathley are both from the packers. They got to see him up close. They seemingly like him, uh, they get to see him more than everyone else saw him. So feels like a decent bet. It's more like, would you be shocked when Malik Willis in two years is like, what happened? Why wasn't he the same guy that he was with the packers? Like, well, he went to the dolphins and they're rebuilding. Right. They have, I think Bobby
Slowix, they're offensive coordinator. And he's, he's been competent at times. I have some Texans fans might disagree with that, but he said at least a few good years where he was like the next hot, young head coach. Willis is time in Green Bay. It's like, it's not going to get any better than that. I don't think. No. That's probably like, but if you got that Malik Willis from Green Bay, if you were guaranteed to that, then he would get paid like a top to your quarterback. Oh, yeah,
he played amazing when he got in in Green Bay. I think it's kind of a low risk situation for the dolphins.
They didn't break the bank for him. No, yeah, definitely. They paid him a good amount of money. And he's like, the best possible bridge quarterback that you can have. And if he's really good, then you can figure out a way to re-sign him and that'll be great. And if he's bad, you'll just drop if he's bad. It's like whatever we're used to having bad quarterback. Yeah, we'll be it. We'll be in the draft. We the Rams, I think, did the best job in terms of filling their two immediate holes corner back,
both cornerback positions. Instantly chiefs Kenneth Walker. I think that's a great signing. Again, we're going to get into all the in detail in night, night Tyson. There was a lot more football than we do. So he breaks down exactly what he thinks of every signing. I also thought I kind of like the move when Harbaugh and with the giants, like, I need a couple of Ravens on my team.
Yeah, so keep a little continuity.
punter who's a very good punter, Jordan Stout. Yeah. And I also liked what the other Harbaugh did. He got out like Engel. Yeah, full. But so now like he had Matt Lock out in Los Angeles has his full back. Well, full back that didn't really play offense. He was a defensive lineman and he would send him out there and occasionally be like, hey, turn around and act like you're going to catch a pass. Alicane Gold may be the best full back in football. And it was the most full back move ever when he
signed with the Chargers. He signed. He's now the the co-leading full back in terms of payment. I love that. He's like, you know, a lot of guys will be like, give me one dollar more. So I can say I'm the highest paid full back. Not, not Alicane Gold. That's not the full back way. Yeah. He's tied for it. There are four teams right now who have not done anything. Jaguar's Broncos Eagle Seahawks.
“Who's going to be the first to do something? The Broncos did do anything?”
No, yeah. Did they resign a single to? I'm I'm saying free agents. Okay. Like free free agents off not on their team signing them. Okay. Yeah. Not not counting resigning guys existing on their roster. Because he had Travis at the end went to the Saints,
and I love for our guy shock. Yeah. For our guy shock. Do who's going to be the first?
I think are the Eagles going to do anything Max? Sweet and see. Yeah. They'll do something. I mean, are the commanders going to sign out water to River PFT? We might. Was that's the little smile, right? I mean Brandon, I use the guy that the most talented water see for this class. I think we're probably zeroed in on him. Why are you smiling like that? I just I read a couple of reports. I did that was waiting for PFT to bring it up, but Patriots and Romeo dobs.
What reports? He chose the Patriots over the commanders. Oh no. Why? Why? Yeah. Was it money? No. What was it? Quarterback. Seems racist. Okay. Oh, no. That's not racist guy. If that's your thing. I mean, very New England, you know, some history there. But wait. So you're saying Romeo dobs is a guy that has to like buy prescription where a guardian cap everywhere he goes and in the shower because he said
so many concussions. He thinks that that Drake may be better than Jane Daniels. That guy does.
“Yeah. Okay. You want to ask like a man to binds or Joe Biden, what they think?”
Some other intellectual titans. Hello. I'm just I was in the comment on the reports. Brain now. Well, I'm just saying the guy's he's known for having the biggest guarding cap in the league. What's wrong with that? He said he can't think anymore. I'm just saying like that's the guy that you're trusting his judgment. Okay. I'm not. I'm just like telling you what the report was. Yeah. Okay. It's reporting. Okay. All right. It's doing reporting. No, I'm fine with that. I think that there's
better receivers out there than Romeo dobs. What if they also choose the Patriots over the commanders? Then you're going to have a lot of receivers. That's going to be good. Well, we just listen to Max. You have a report. I like the bite. I thought what the commanders do was good. You got a defensive end.
Oh, hey. Yeah. Yeah. Always a beast. Yeah. Shane was very upset about that.
Yeah. I like a way. We may have paid him a lot of money, but sometimes you got to pay the son. You got to pay the play. You got to pay the play. Four years, $100 million, $68 million guaranteed for a way. You got to just pay the play. So I like it. But yeah, Hank congratulate Romeo. Great. Why don't you see for when he plays? Yeah. I'm excited. He's young. Fast. Still probably need to get someone else. But who do you want? Age of ground. Yeah. Is Max going to give him to you?
You know the price. You know the price is the price. Two second rounders. I feel like the price. Two second rounders. He will be an eagle. I feel like the price might not be the price Max. What do you mean? The price is the price might not be the price. Well, no, whatever the price
“goes for, that's what the price was. I'm talking, you're talking about capital T, capital P,”
the price. I'm talking about lowercase P price. Then he will come back. I because I don't think that how he rosemen wants to have another year of AJ Brown. He would have traded him already if it was that. The price is the price. Why hasn't the price? The price. Even if he gets traded for like a seventh rounder, that will be the price. Yeah, but that's lowercase P. Max has an uppercase P in his mind right now.
The big price. What's the big price, Max? The price is the, it starts with the first round six.
It starts with the first round six. It starts with the first round six. And realistically, it's probably a 20, if the Patriots wanted to 2027 first round pick, not 2026. Why is that? Because their first round pick this year is basically the second round pick. Are you going to be having any more changes on defense, Max? Losing any more. See, this is a problem that I guess you don't really understand. When you draft really good players all the time, you have to pay really good players all the time.
Are you planning it to him?
too many good guys. I know I'd get that. That's why I'm wondering if you're playing. I know I told you
what you were trying to do. Yeah, we have a plan. We have a plan. What's the plan? The plan is to key is to make sure that the core of this defense stays put. We have to make sure that we can retain the core of this defense. If that means that we are losing some guys, you can't sign everyone. That's that's how the NFL works. That's how the cap works. How he's going to figure it out. Vic Fangio is going to figure it out. We're going to put together another successful defense. We
lost a shit ton of guys last year on the defense and then we came back and still had a top defense in this year. Yeah, so you're keeping the core. Who is the core? Dorn Davis, Cooper Degene, Quinnien Mitchell, probably Jaylen Carter, probably he's probably the core, probably. So I'm like a nuclear guy, Chernobyl. It's probably the core. Yeah, he's probably the core. And if not, we'll get a fuck ton of assets back for him. Yep, compensating.
Yeah, you got to work. You got to think about the future while also competing for the present. Yeah, that's what that was. That's what good programs do. We got four picks back this year.
“That's what it's all about. And we draft well. Yeah. That's fine. Max, I was honestly just trying to”
talk ball with you and you seemed like you were getting upset. No, you weren't. You were doing your thing. You were, I know, no, exactly what you were doing. It's just curious around. Because like, because Hank was doing his thing to PFT, then PFT turned around and did it to Matt. Yeah, yeah, shut Hank up because he realized how racist he was. I didn't, I didn't do anything. I really reported a report. How many K is in Hank? One, one. My name's Henry.
It is. I love the name, Henry. Thank you. Um, I like what the bears did to Kobe Bryant. That's kind of cool. Yeah, it was like Kobe Bryant. I mean, he's a good player. But yeah, no, he's very cool. Also very good player. And Kevin Bush who should be, I like, it was, it's a fine free age. I'm actually happy that it's not a, we're not in a spot where we have to be a Raiders and just sign everyone. Mm-hm. You know, it's like, hey, a couple good, now it's time for draft. Now it's, now it's
“go time in the draft. Zach, how are you feeling about Mike Evans no longer being a one jersey guy?”
I really wanted to see Mike Evans retire as a damn big book in here. You know, he provided a lot of joyful moments on Sundays watching the books. But he's not, but he's not he, uh, he's going out to California. I mean, there's, there's a couple of different reasons, maybe why he left. He said, like, a lot of guys are saying, who's like losing their, their son to go pursue the dreams of being an actor and you're like, stay on the farm, son. Yeah, I mean, I thought he, he left. I thought he was
getting paid. I was like, all right, yeah, good for him. I thought he was getting through your 60,
but I guess the guaranteed money is only like 16 million. So I'm paying a lot of taxes out there.
Wouldn't have paid all those in Florida. Seems personal. I think maybe he just, him and Todd Bowles just don't, maybe they just, they weren't meant to be. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's what I think it really comes down. I think so. Yeah, I think I think I think a lot of Mike Evans and so that would, that would fit
“nicely with what I think about him. Mm-hm. She had, I feel good about it at all. No.”
How could you? Yeah. I don't also, the Michael Pittman Steelers show. I feel like they're just gearing up for Aaron Rodgers to come back. Yeah. I mean, they're, are they going to do Will Howard? Because that seems like hard only other option. Yeah. Well, hard, hard. Well, hard next year. Yeah. They have to be thinking that Aaron's going to come back. Yeah. Right. If you're getting, this is a perfect Aaron Rodgers guy that they got. Yes. You want just, you just want to run
short patterns. Yes. You want thinking dunk? Let's do that. Yes. Yes. Did you see, I think this is cool that Pittsburgh got a guy named Pittman though. I'm like, that's cool. That's pretty bad. It sounds like a superhero. That's underrated. Pittman. Right. Did you guys see, I, I, I should, I wish I bookmarked it. I think on day one of NFL free agency. Oh, yeah. Final, final, Tally, Adam Shepher, 27 news breaks.
Tom Pellasaro 14, Mike Garoffalo 7, Jordan Schultz 4, Ian Rappport 4, other 10, 27 to 4 between Shepher and Rappport. That's kind of wild. That's a blowout. Yeah. Sheph is, is Sheph in his prime time. I think he might be in his prime right now. Like, honestly running up the score a little bit. Bad sportsmanship by Shephty. Like, that's, that's a blowout. That's a blowout. That's an absolute, I remember what it used to be
a competition. No, no longer a competition. How many of those were by like 10 seconds? I don't know. And they also have been, they've been increasingly, uh, low on details. Like, the, the news breaking
now is has to be first by a, of matter of seconds that they, they all just break the news. Yep.
Then update the news like five minutes later.
tweet, but my tweet got up first. That shouldn't count. You should, you should not be able to
“report it until you have all the details. I think you can report it, but the report has to stay up.”
You can't change it. Yeah. You just have to live with it. Yeah. Okay. We're, like I said, we're going to get into all the free agency with Nate Tyson. He actually breaks it down in a smart way. Other stories world baseball classic is awesome continues to be sick. It was a great game last night.
“Yeah, honestly felt there was one moment where it felt like Mexico might come back. It was very yeah,”
it felt like things like 10 might be slipping a little bit. Yeah, but the USA pulls through it's just such a good player. Bobby wit was putting on a defensive masterclass post games love playing with Bobby wit. It's it's great seeing guys that like man baseball can be so fun. Yeah, I'm allowed to have fun playing this Paul schemes also helped out gave a nice assist to Kevin Durand who had not tweeted since the entire Kevin Durand burner files Durand came out of retirement just saying Paul
schemes is a dog, which I said right away is like it's such a layup. It's like it's like tweeting ice cream is good. Everyone will agree with Paul schemes is a dog. Yeah, so he let he gave Kevin Durand a beautiful reentry point into the Twitter world. We're obviously all the replies are just like hey, man, or you ever gonna talk about the fact you trash people online, but doesn't matter. We're talking about USA, we're talking about Paul schemes being a dog. Yes, like you're not being patriotic. If you
bring up, why you bring up old shit on Kevin Durand? Right, exactly. Why can't you just admit that Paul schemes is currently a dog right now? Yes, yes. He was he was a dog and we also had and he also paid, I don't know if you caught this part of the broadcast, he paid for a bunch of F-35 pilots to be there. Love that and a couple, I think C-130s too. They're just pilots all over the stadium. Nice. We also had the Cowrally Randy, a Rosie Raina beef, which I love. So there's Seattle
Mariners teammates. Randy goes up to him to give him a little tap when he comes up to the plate. Cowrally says not dude. We're in the World Baseball Classic. The ship means something to me.
And then I think it might be kind of real beef. I didn't think that it was at first. I thought that
it was like a teammate rolling up and he's got like pintar in his hands. So he's trying to fuck with with Cowrally trying to get him to tap him up. But then I saw the comments from Rose Raina
“afterwards. And he says the only thing that Raleigh should be thankful for is having such great parents.”
He's well educated. I was lucky enough to see them a few days ago at the hotel. They came over to greet me, gave me a big hug. They were genuinely proud to see me again. Then he said, "Raleigh needs to fuck off, go to hell. They're good to see a bullshit that he said to me. He can shove it straight up his ass. I'm out." Was that kind of like a weird mafia threat? Where he's like, "I saw your parents." Your parents look right. You know what your parents look like? Yeah,
he should be the only thing he should be thankful for is his two lovely parents who are staying currently in room two or seven of the same hotel that I am. I love this because I want. I think everyone going into the World Baseball Classic is like the only thing we don't want is for it to feel like an all-star game. We want it to be real bad blood. These guys are about to start the season. So, Cal, thank you. Like Cal Raleigh, thank you. You gave it the juice we need and I'm down for it.
I don't want this juice. I didn't think that Raleigh would be the guy to do it because he is such a nice guy. I know. But like everybody's got to do something. He didn't get any hits last night. So I'm glad he stirred this up a little bit. He's an American here. He is an American hero for that. It was, it was crazy to see Aaron judge putting a team on his back in a situation that doesn't really matter. Yeah, but he did it again last night. Oh, like you said, it did matter at one point where it's like, oh shit.
This could be a, this could be a close game.
Max for the winner of pool B, Max for your rooting for him. It's got to be the Americans.
“But what if the Italians win? Well, the, I think the Americans still advance. No, I know, but what if”
the Italians win? We tweet maybe one Italian flag? No. Okay. You won't be, you're not celebrating at all. It is funny because team Italy is just all Americans. Oh, yeah. They're just like New Jersey Italians. Our guy Vinnie. So no, every team is just different Americans. Well, not Japan and like, Dominican Republic, but like all of the teams that can't feel all full Ross check. Yeah, it's just pretty much people from the Czech Republic. Did you see that guy? Yeah, you've pitched four innings today.
The scoreless. He's an electrician. It was incredible. He's an unbelievable electrician. He shut
out Japan for four innings. And then the Tokyo dome gave him like a standing round of applause when they pulled him out of the game. Just a nation that loves ball. That was, that was going to be my cool thrown is this is baseball takes in 50 years. What about it? Like if you're talking about show how you can literally say he was just playing against electricians. Yeah. Good point, Hank. That's a great point. I won't see that good. Hank, that's you got shut out by an electrician. Yeah, that's something from PFT.
“PFT. Yeah, you should have said that first. I should have said that. Oh, that's something that you”
should have said. No, you should have said that first. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. First of all, that that's bullshit because you're not giving credit credit to Hank. Yeah. You're going to make this about me. No, but that's no, I don't like that. No, that's we should be celebrating Hank for coming up with an awesome fucking joke. No, it is. It's a great joke. Yeah, great. You have
a lot of time. Hank, why? No, Hank. When Hank first said that did a little bit in the back,
your mind be like, "Fuck, I should have thought of that." I was too busy doing the Yankees joke last night. I like that one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's a Met's England fan. That poor guy. That poor bastard. But Hank, great joke. Yeah. It was spent enough time together. It rubbed off. Yeah. Now I love, now I'm skipping work on Mondays to play golf. Hank's making puns. That's all of it. You guys are golfing this weekend, buzz. Mm.
You're a lot of stuff. Me and Hank are back to being on great terms together. Have your love with that? Can you grab something wrong with your love? How do you have you love it? He's a great player. Just don't ask him to catch any on-side kicks. Have you changed your stance on the Celtics future? Have you done anything with that? Have you been called the coward? Well, I listen. I cast that out because of Hank's crying. Right, tears. Yep. We know that.
And so I've got another plan, but it's not. I'm not going to be doing a future on the Celtics. Okay, my plan will not be to put the future of the Celtics to win when I make the bet. You'll be the first to know it. By the way, I do appreciate the NBA every now and then having a game. We were like, oh yeah, like, when we Friday night and then last night or Monday night was
Yogic and SGA, which was incredible. So I'll just killed when we tonight. Oh, this is pre-tank.
Yep. Pre-tank. But yeah, SGA was a classic. What do you tie will for most 20 point games in a row? Most consecutive 20 point games. Was it like a hundred something? It's crazy. That's actually insane. Insane. He had a 35 and 35, 15 and 9 and Yogic had, I think he had a triple double. Yeah, he had he had 32, 14 and 13. It was it went down to the last shot. As I say. Oh, yeah. This is awesome. As a Ludoric Apologist. No, dude. Do you have any comment
about flying elbow that he put? I think Yogic's face shouldn't have been there. Okay. You got his face attacked, Lou Dortz's elbow. Would you say that if you look if Yogic's brothers were here? Yeah, I would. Okay. Where are they? In this room? Let me let me let's bring them in. Do they speak
“fluent English? No, I think that's what you got to do for your guy, Lou Dortz. Yeah, no, no matter what.”
So if they don't speak fluent fluent English, I would definitely say the same thing. Listen, Lou Dortz goes hard. What are you going to do? He does. It was a great game. He's just he's playing hard basketball and sometimes elbows end up in people's faces in weird spots. Yeah, he lost control of his arm. He lost control of his left arm for a brief second. What do you think about about SGA's press conference after the game? He had a pretty cold line. Yeah, what was it? It was something
like I've got all the, I've got all the answers to the test, but first I have to look at the questions. Yeah, that's, that is a cold line. I have answers to the test, but I got to see the questions first. Yeah, and he's got cool sunglasses. He's got cool shades. Very 1980s look out of him. I like this look better than the last one where he looked. Yeah, he's wearing the parka. Mm-hmm. Okay, any other sports things for a new hotseek cool throne, which I know will hit some more
conference championship week. I can't even foster might be out for the entire turn of him. I already said sorry. Yeah. It looks like he's got a broken foot. Maybe the Jones fracture. I already said sorry. Yeah, we did this already. Yeah, no, I said sorry. No, but the report got updated today. Yeah, and I said sorry, and I, I continue my sorry. My sorry stays.
It is interesting, the way they're wording everything, though.
he's out for the tournament. They have been used that terminology. What are they said? They're
saying that he's out for the foreseeable future. Everything I'm seeing is foreseeable future. I have not seen that he's out for the season. If it's the, if it's the Jones fracture of which I am a survivor, Max, aren't you a survivor? Shire now. It's that. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, because there was a report today, right? Nope. Yeah. Max, how fast did you come back? It's great. Oh, okay. I'm, I'm happy to be wrong. I just thought it was interesting. I wish you were wrong.
Wait, which side are you on, Max? Goodman's got so much. I don't know. I just feel like the wording for foreseeable future is weird without, like, why won't you just say out for the season?
I mean, Duke, Duke's so good. It doesn't really matter. See, like,
like, yes, piano foreseeable future, for some reason. Well, that is true. He's out for the foreseeable, yeah, it's true. He is out for the foreseeable future.
“Okay. How long is the foreseeable future, though? That's what I'm saying. I don't know. We're going to”
wait. There's no, it's crazy. World is could be tomorrow the next day. Maybe if we even wake up tomorrow. Oh, I can't say anything. I, injury suck. They do. Especially this time here. I don't want them. I want just a clean tournament. I want, I want the best on best. That's what I want. And I really wish he was fine. Hopefully he'll be back. Yeah. Yeah. Let's just, I hope he's back.
Be an awesome story. Be an awesome story. Can you imagine Final Four, Caleb Foster returns
for the Final Four? Just, then Duke loses in the final, what am I supposed to do? No, I'm sorry. That was, come on. Okay. Let's do Hotsie Kultrone, brought to you by Jose Cuervo, when Cuervo enters every moment just gets better. You find yourself in the center of the dance floor. You can't help but stand up at high five. Those around you at the game. The room reacts like it just got the same text at the same time. You stop checking the time. Suddenly
small talk escalates to laughing so hard. You can barely catch your breath. That's the Cuervo effect. A signal. Everybody understands a moment that anyone can join in a good time that just grows.
“All you have to do is keep it Cuervo. We're also brought to you by our friends. It's Slim Jim.”

I don't want to, you know, I want to give free publicity to the competition, but your your co-host PFT. Careful. Has has found a new friend to debate sports with. Careful. Who? Any spent? I don't know.
“Three hours this morning. Oh, not three hours. Just just have dishing back and forth takes with who?”
Two hours. It was an AI app. Oh, no. Yeah. Of a competitor. There's an AI competitor that you can have a conversation with and talks to the college. Yeah. We got into a part of this morning, but it was one of those things like mutual respect. Like it was, you know, a cheap great box was getting into the ring for 12, 12 rounds at the end of it. We each hold each other's arms up. We step off and, you know, it's just happy to be shown the same space as the other guy.
So, Colin Howard sold all of his data to AI. That's kind of fucked. And it's worth it. He can make a divorce reference out of anything. I was, I was pushing the limits of this thing. That's crazy. So it's just an AI. How does it work? I sit down. I make sure a big cat's not around. And then I start, I open up the app. Isn't this the, I say, feed me a hot take Colin and then then I disagree with him. I say,
how does this relate to blockbuster Netflix? Was this, uh, isn't this like the Walking Phoenix,
Her or whatever, falls in love with a robot?
this is where it takes us. Who's going to use this app? And then I'm not joking. PFT was
debating with it for like 45 minutes. It's not 45 minutes. Well, I was also asking it, like, you know, give me some jets takes and then memes was getting upset with the AI. Oh, no. And then I was playing in chains here about the chargers and chain actually like got mad,
“like it was a person and he started arguing with my phone. And then I just do have any saved?”
I don't know if you can save it. I took a video. Oh, and play a play a video real quick. Here this. I don't know. I feel like there's a lot of office chatter, but okay. She was doing this all morning for about 30 minutes. Oh, man. I am worried. I am worried. So you can talk to it? Yeah, but I was thinking about you the whole time. I swear. Wait, you can talk to it? How does that work? Yeah, you talk. You have a engaging back and forth.
This is not an ad, by the way. No, I don't think that too many people are going to absolutely, like, it would be a very sad person that's like, at home by themselves arguing with AI, Colin Coward. I was doing it behind Hank. I was also like, after 30 minutes of doing it, I thought to myself, like, this is, this is like me taking batting practice before I get into the studio for the, when the lights go on in its game time. But yeah, I mean,
mean Colin had a dynamic back and forth. I did, I beat him in the debates, though. Hank even said a few times, like, you broke it. You did? Yeah, he did. The longer sometimes it takes a long time to answer. And I'll say, yeah, we must be coward. Colin can't fuck with me. Okay.
“So you have no comments about that? That was free. Oh. Is there upgrades? You paid for it?”
I might have to pay some. Yeah, it's only fans for Colin Coward. Okay. Oh, then my cool thorn is respecting women. Yeah, hell yeah. Yeah, the Atlanta Hawks canceled night, actually night, thank God. I would have been discussing that for the kids. So I'm happy. What about the wings? The era of their ways and and canceled this night. I'm just happy. Yeah, women. You're happy. Luke Hornet, hero,
respector of women. Good stuff. I think, um, I think next Monday, we should make it magic city night and part of my take. Got that. Did you see someone pointed out that uh, there is now
like the greatest three merch items that have never been released or sitting in Atlanta somewhere.
2020 was supposed to be the final four for COVID happened. 2021 was the MLB all-star game. Remember the bathroom thing and then moved it and then magic city. They already made the sweatshirts. Whoever has those three is a king. Okay. The magic city sweatshirts were awesome. Amazing. I want it. Not Hank. You can't wear it. No, fuck no. That's right. I such a fucking prude, dude. Why are you afraid of titties? I love titties. I think titties are kissing titties. I love the titties,
but I also care about the kids and then NBA being a, uh, you know, a sport on inclusive sport. I also saw someone had a nice checkmate where they're like, I would much rather have to explain to my kids what magic city is than what this statue is. It was just a picture of Carl one at a jazz game. Yeah. Yeah. Or like why is this team pulled the jazz? Yeah. Yeah. Again. I think that the most offensive thing to the kids was Atlanta Hawks basketball. And so magic city being there.
Hope you hope you feel good. You're you're canceling Karen. That's what you are. Just so you know, you're not canceling Karen. If you don't like it, just don't look to it. No, you're canceling Karen. You're close your eyes, bro. What if you're a diehard Hawksman with a young close your eyes? I do think that that scenario is moving my favorite scenario. A young Hawks family from like world Georgia,
that that scrims and saves up $75 a year. The vibe take it. They finally got their ticket to the
game and it's on that money. They bought it like five months ago. Come on, y'all get in the car. We're going to go see our Atlanta Hawks now. It's tape farm arena. They drive across the state. They get in and they're like, what is magic city? Like that is the funniest possible scenario.
“I'm upset that that didn't happen. Yeah, but you also have to remember that person would have been”
more upset about Paolo not playing for load management. True. So they're already upset. Yeah. Yeah, the the mental twist. I just listen, find this canceled. Just own the fact that you are a canceling Karen. No, okay. Well, you are. I'm not. I'm a supporter of women and Lucranette. Mm-hmm. And if that's wrong, I don't want to be right. Why don't deal in Hawks simply have a game at magic city? That way everybody that goes to the game is because it's a strip club. It's a basketball
Is opting in to going to the game.
they don't look like cameras in there. I'm going to find Lucranette's sub-stack. I'm going to subscribe
“and I'm going to start making a list of things. I don't think you have to subscribe. Okay. Well,”
I'm going to start making a list of things that you should probably follow Lucranette in your life. Okay. Okay. What does that mean? Well, I'm sure he's got rules for everything. Okay. Yeah. Being the fucking man. Is that what it is? Yeah. Okay. Funny guy. Let's get him on. Would love to. I'll take my shirt off. No. It means you won. No. I mean, the guy's blog got an entire night cancel. Yeah. I would say this
is anti-respective woman. I agree. But that's a powerful book. You have to admit that like
tip of the cap to the power of his blog. The pen is muddy or the sword, as they say. Yeah, cancel culture is true. It is. It is anti-respecting women. Your right means. Yeah. We wanted to promote people going to this club. Get it? He's women more money. Right. You're basically shaming the women being like, oh, this is a line of profession that shouldn't be celebrated whatsoever. And their net wants to suppress women. Yeah. Not cool. They're earning money. Hank.
How about increase the wage gap, Lou Kornet? Oh, yeah. How about how about fucking go through the glass ceiling, Lou Kornet? We respect women. No, no, just a pink tax, Lou Kornet. Uh-huh. Oh, yeah. Get their ass out. Yeah. Let's go. Also happy, belated, happy or international women's day. Yeah. Didn't see a tweet about that. Yeah. No, I didn't. Yeah. Every day. Every day. Every day is
international. Yeah. Right. So you just never tweet about it. I don't tweet. I don't tweet period.
“That's not true. Tweety about this show because I have to. Because you have to. Yeah.”
It's called your job. Or else no one's going to yet. No one's going to know it came out. So why you're excited about Market nation the other day. You tweet about that. You're you're more excited. That was a that was a callback to this show. You're more excited about Market than you are about women. I'm not a tweeter. Yeah. Yeah. I'm an Existor sometimes. It makes a few guys let me. By the way, Hank, we should uh, do you want to put a little little something on where's the
biggest tournament? Why can't I find the biggest tournament? Or did? It's a massive square garden. No, I know, but I thought that next. All right, Max. You're going to put it on as good to win. 60 about the one. I don't see it. There's up there last night. Probably because the game is going on. No. I haven't started yet. All right. I'll find it. Hopefully. Okay. Your cool turn. It was uh, respecting women. Oh, yeah. That's right. I already forgot it because you're just lying.
Okay. 50. Your hot sequel to them. Uh, my hot seat is the point. I'm lying about what you don't respect women. You're just fear, white nighting. They're not going to fucking brown.
They're strippers. Okay. They're not going to strippers love me. Oh, yeah. Always. They always tell me that.
Yeah. Not anymore. You just took away a fun night for them. Hank might be banned from most trip clubs in American out. Mm-hmm. Do not serve this customer. Oh, have fun on Max's Bachelor at Party. That's right. Yeah. Who you got to get him in a fucking way. I think we saw a boy who saw where like matching shit. Have a scavenger on on Max's shirt. Oh, my cowboy hat. Oh, mm. Okay. 50. Uh, my hot seat is the rest of the PGA tour because Brooks a little stat that went
way under the radar. Brooks switched up his putter at the college. Is it for the final round? Okay. And Brooks shot the lowest round out there. He shot a 65 on Sunday. Okay. I know what he's talking about because it didn't win, then it didn't play last weekend. But quietly Brooks kept his playing maybe the best golf of his last what three years. Mm-hmm. And so this week he's back at the players is one issue that he's had the players just hitting the island green at 17, hit it during
his practice round. Stuck it. Let's go. So that and the new pudder that he's got, bro. I feel like Brooks might be back this week. Brooks. Let's go. I'm very excited about Brooks coming back fifth major.
“Would you guys actually be mad if they made it a fifth major? The players? Yeah. I think you should be”
the fifth major. Like how do you make it the fifth major? I think the PGA just makes it the fifth major. What about the what about the what about the farmer's insurance? The travelers? Travelers. Travelers. Sorry. What about the travelers? There's about the NBA finals. What about the John Deere? I'm that's that's the debate that's going on right now. Well, I guess I could just be the sixth. Well, we've been calling everything the fifth major. Right. I know. But if they made an actual
major, the fifth major, that would be tough for you guys. Why? Because you call everything that the fifth major? Right. Well, then it just switched to the sixth major, which is what I called Bay Hill.
Because I've been low key saying that the players is the fifth major consiste...
So now my mind's already moved on to the next one. So I'll be ready for that if that day comes. But yeah, the players it's got a lot of juice. A lot of the guys treat it like it's major. The island green the iconic 17th and Brooks is ready to go. Okay. Hank, who do you got this weekend? Bruce Budveg. Two.
Yeah. How about Max? Max. Always Max. Nice. All right. Your cool throne. My cool throne
is just calling things the next same Donald. I've just heard so many so many next sand Donalds all week. If you're talking about quarterback, he's the next sand Donald.
“Every team's looking for the next sand Donald. I think we should just make it regardless of”
what sport or what athlete. It should just be anything in the world. Anything that you used to be, flash forward to later on this episode. Laser tag might be the next sand Donald. But like no, regardless of anything that you got, if it's something you used to enjoy back the day, I'm just overloaded with hearing people say the next sand Donald. Too many sand Donalds out there. The next sand Donalds. Okay. My hot seat is tack Prescott, who we talked about
on Monday, but the email leak that he sent all of his guests for his wedding. You can't.
He's got to get better friends. That sucks. Someone sold it to TMZ. It said as many even it was innocuous. So it's not a big deal, but it's still kind of sucks. As many of you know our wedding is currently scheduled to take place in Lake Komo, Italy on Friday, April 10, 2026. It is with heavy hearts that we privately inform our attendees that we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our wedding. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience. It's
may cause you and we welcome your prayers, Sarah Jane, Raymos, and Dak Prescott. Ah, that's that sucks. It's someone sold email to TMZ. I have fucking sucks. There's nothing sacred anymore. Hey, where do you land on the pre-nup situation?
“What do you mean? Remember, is it nothing to do with the pre-nup?”
But I'm just asking you Hank and Jen. I know, I'm just letting Hank, I'm giving Hank that out there. And what in terms of what? Pre-nups. He's four against. I'm four. Okay. Okay. If you, if you really love someone, the money shouldn't matter. Yeah. It's a good point. And who cares if she makes more of it than you would be against? Yeah. Because the pre-nup would mean the money matters.
If you're, so, this is it's obvious. If you're four pre-nup, that means that, like, if you get divorce, you keep your money. If you make more than her. Right. And if you're, if you don't have a pre-nup, that means the money does not matter. 50, 50. Right. And it's what's mine is yours. Right. Which yours? We built this together. That's true. Beautiful thing. Okay. So where do you stand up? I'm against. You're against pre-nup. Because if you're getting married, you're
never, you're, you're getting married to be together forever. Right. So, and you don't think
women or, or men could, like, would get married for in a various reasons to try to steal money. Right. Right. Well, no. Oh, I'm saying for me personally. Oh. Other people, it's a case-by-case basis. Yeah. So judge not, let's do you be judge. Just let people do what they want. Is what you're saying. Yeah. Okay. All right. So, wasn't about to pre-nup the, it was, it was a fight on the, on the bachelor of bachelor of bachelor of bachelor. TMZ says breakup was not due to a pre-nup.
Yeah. It was about the bachelor of bachelor of party. No. Can't do it. I don't think anyone knows what, what the fight was about, but it wasn't, apparently not due to pre-nup. All right. My cool throne is, uh, podcasters because, uh, the Ohio State president has had to step down because he got in an inappropriate relationship with a Columbus-based podcasters. So, watch out. Oh. It's just still your boys. There's a podcaster. There's a girl-based podcaster.
There's a space podcaster. Yeah. What does that mean? It's a, it's a, it's a podcaster piece of Columbus, of which there are many of which there are many. I feel like that, that's got to be, you got to be able to narrow that down like pretty easily. Oh, no, they, they name her. That's her
“on the right, I think. That's the podcaster right there. God. Oh, it's, yeah. It's a, yeah.”
wife, podcaster. That's a, it's a great graphic. Yeah. So, don't mix it up with podcasters. Again, I think you went on a podcasters and then the flames were just too hot. I mean, that everyone says that a podcaster review is the greatest affordesia. It happens to a lot of guys that sit on that couch. Mm-hmm. A lot of them don't want to ever leave. Just such a funny, like, an old man, like, this guy is in his 60s. He's the Ohio State president. To have to have to come out and be like,
I, I'm stepping down because I, I may have fucked up podcaster. Come on. Yeah. I mean, it is, again, this is why we're the cool drone podcasters. Great for our community. And when she says, come on,
My podcasters, she means it in a great way.
My hotseed this back by the way. PFT. Oh, yeah. Sorry. Yeah. Sorry. Sorry about that back. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. Sorry about that. Billy, Billy Mays, Bangor. My, my, my, my hotseed, my hotseed this week is going to be guys who try to tell other grown men how to dress. Mm-hmm. I, uh, you guys familiar with the D&B rapper wallet. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So wall, wallet posts a photo online. He's kind of feeling good feeling good about himself. You know,
you go about his day. And this guy sparks controversy, sparks a little bit of a debate online, goes, his quote is, I know I'm being just mental, but the fact that this looks, this look is acceptable at four years old, man still shocks me. And it just like, you got to let people express themselves how you want to express them. There's a lot of guys replying to this photo in particular, just come to full suits, three pieces, pin stripes. Yeah. And I just, I just, I didn't think that was cool.
“So I want to put all those guys in the hotseed. You should think before you reply to things.”
Yeah. What do we try to do here? We're trying to just like stunt on wallet. It'd be like, hey, wallet, I know you're probably richer and more successful than me, but here's a picture of me wearing a suit. So who's to say who the bigger man is? I agree. And that's what they're trying to do to us. All these foes are bad suits. I don't like it. That's a perfectly normal outfit that wallet is wearing for the record. I love that outfit. I can see myself wearing that outfit.
I actually think I might own. You definitely own that. Parts of that outfit. Yeah. If not all. Absolutely. Might put it out for the one time. Yeah, don't let, let people live. That, yeah, that more sort of let people live. I love that. They weren't letting wallet live a little bit online. I knew it. I don't like that. And then my cool throne. Quick one. We've talked love on this show. We've also talked Chili's Tribal Dippers on this show. Have you guys seen
the couple who got engaged at Chili's? Yeah. There's an old hair chili. That's your chili's. That's all of our chilies. And yes, they got update though. Chili's a chili's a chili. Look up at the honeymoon. So got chili stepping in. Young love. They met each other at Chili's. Now they get engaged at Chili's only to be sent off on a Chili's steamed honeymoon. Oh, I love these
people. You could even say they got Tribal Dip there. I love these people. That's incredible.
“This is a, this is a relationship that's going to make it. I think so as well. Yeah. If you can,”
if you can, if the, if the, if the foundation of your relationship is the Chili's Tribal Dipper bottomless chips and salsa, you're going to make it. They're not thinking pre-naps or joint batch or about. Hell, no. Not even a little bit. Hell, no. You could hear a lot of sticks away from my, yeah, for my bonus nuggets. Yeah. Okay. Good job. Good hotseek will throw in everyone. Let's get through some more free agent talk with Nate Tyson. Nate Tyson is brought to you by State Farm.

That's exactly why they roll with the Chevy Silverado. Silverado is the truck that shows up every time. Built to haul, tow, and take a beating. But smart work counts with modern tech that makes life easy. Big screens, available camera views at help of towing and parking, and a cabin that feels right whether you're road tripping, heading to practice, or loading up for the weekend. During the season, it's the MVP of the tailgate. After the season, it turns into your training camp truck,

Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest. It is our friend Nate Tyson, who's now going to be recurring guests. Nate and I have known each other for many years now. He's a badger, but we also Nate joined us for dinner in Indianapolis for the combine. So everyone got to meet
Nate and we figured what better guy to have on the talk free agency than the guy that knows a tonne about football. He talks about it all the time on his podcast football 301. He works for y'all who's sports. So Nate, thank you for joining us. And I'm excited to dive in. Let's just
Let's dive in.
guards and edges getting paid. Okay. I think, and I think to maybe Tyler, a winner,
“bombs bank account. I think those are the biggest winners of the day. But yeah, it's, you know,”
you're always going to overspend him for agency, but I think some of these teams that had to spend
money. They spent their money, Titans, Raiders. And I actually really like the Linderbomb Raider signing. Even if it is a pretty penny because it makes sense for what they are and what they're trying to do with Mendoza and Clink Kubiack and all that good stuff. So that's one that I was my first kind of winner, apparently, because just office bank accounts do. There's some more sneakier signings as well. They're kind of like quasi winners. I would say, but that's the one that kind of really
grab my attention. Yeah, with anything else. Like a really good center like Linderbomb going to Vegas, whether they're going to have a rookie quarterback. What does that mean for Mendoza? Like for his progression and I know that they're saying right now, they don't plan on him starting at the beginning of the year. They want to, they want to have them kind of learn his, learn the ropes and the NFL and take, take its time before he actually gets the starting job. I don't necessarily
believe that that's going to happen because sometimes it's just, they see a guy and they're like,
“well, you should just be starting. Let's get you out there. But, but signing a center like this,”
what does that do for a rookie quarterback and their transition to the NFL? It does a lot. It's one of my favorite kind of things is to get a vet center with a young quarterback because that's the biggest transition. I think Nali, we we talking about quarterbacks, but offensive line and running backs is past protection, getting into the next level and NFL defenses are super complicated right now, more than ever. What we saw Mike McDonald do, that that is kind of the epitome of what the
C. Oxen, what they were doing is super bold, but that's what a lot of defenses are doing right now. They're very smart. The blitz patches are very expansive. So it's kind of that puts the onus on the center to kind of sort things out. The quarterbacks get the trump card. They get the leeway. They earn
that right to do it. Then do what we always think of the sheriff, the Tom Brady, the Peyton Manning
pointing, the Drew Breeze, all that. That takes time and there's quarterbacks in the lead that do do it. Like Josh Allen's one of those guys now that does that. But he took time to earn that right. And so when you have a center that's seen those looks that knows how to go into a game plan, knows how to communicate. Not only just comes the quarterback down a constant entire offensive line and offense down, but it takes so much off the quarterbacks plate because now he, I mean, these are
long, Windows is very smart guy. It seems like obviously with his LinkedIn page, all that stuff, but those are long play calls. That's a lot on third down that's changing week to week. That now it's like, okay, now I don't have to worry about who the mic is. Are we sliding this way? Are we sliding that way? Now I can just execute the pass. Yeah. And then I'll earn the more of the pre-snap operation as time goes on. So it just takes a load off. I love that. I mean,
Bears fans have gone through it for years. And last year was the first time I kind of felt calm because they had a vet center in there. And even dominance, I would say is more above average than
“anything. So I think when a bomb can really just bring that calm presence to a young quarterback.”
Okay, outside of Linda bomb, and like I think that there's definitely certain teams that, you know, the Raiders are one of them, the Titans, the Jets where it feels like they all did a good job of, they just need to get competent football players on the roster. Who, like, is there a specific signing of those three teams that you're like, oh, that was actually a really good signing. This is this is getting them to a place where, hey, they're going to actually play some football this year.
Yeah, John Franklin Myers, going to the Titans, that him and Jeffrey Simmons, they're, that's some bash brothers potential right there. I tweeted this, but there's two defensive tack or eight defensive tackles last year that are certain amount of pressure rate, like the league average pressure rates about 10% for edges. I think it's like 9% for defensive tackles. There's only two defensive tackles are above 10% there. And then also had a stuff rate, which means tackles for
no gain or TFLs, of 5% of Morans, Jeffrey Simmons and John Franklin Myers. So I, I could see why the Titans, they needed somebody bodies. Right. They needed guys across their entire defense. It also what it does, it opens up opportunities for their first pick. Now, they don't need this position. They, they also traded for Johnson, Germain Johnson firm out of the Jets. So they don't need an edge. It would be nice to have another guy. They don't need another defensive lineman.
They don't need a corner like a latte tailor or something like that because now they can just go, okay, we can address receiver. We can address offensive line. We can address other positions, kind of opens that up. So that was the one, I would say of those teams that really splash and really threw a lot of money at that. I really like that signing where it's like, they paid them a pretty penny, but he's going to earn it because he's such a good player and has familiarity with
Robert Salaf. I'm going to say that they also signed Wandell Robinson to $70 million a year and I
did not like that deal at all. Okay. So, okay. So there's the good and the bad of all this. Yeah, I was going to ask you, is there one deal that you thought big time overpay or a reach, maybe a panic move that a team had to do? Well, Robinson was a little rich for me because that was
Just a, they're doing the whole he knows Brian Dable's system.
replaceable skill set. It's slot only type of he has to be a target eater but he's not like
super dynamic as a yak guy. I don't think he's a bad player or anything. I just don't think it's
“the guy that you like, oh, we have to get this guy because I think it's a very funjable skill set.”
I'd rather them gone for Romeo Dobs who's still out there as we were as we were recording this right now from the packers. But that was one, so the same team kind of just like, oh, that's that's a little too rich for me for what I think is just because of coach familiarity and it's also Dable who, you know, got fired and won three games. Yeah, it's our exactly. It's not exactly we were picking the brain of somebody that just came off a super bowl a couple of years ago or
something that's all right. Yeah, it fits his winning system. Yeah, Dable's right. I think I got to do strategy. Yeah. Now, what about our Sean Gary? What happened with that? Because to to an outside
eye and maybe I just don't know ball, maybe I'm not in the thick of things like like, you know,
you speak to people in league circles, no. But it seemed like he was just going to get cut because he said I'm going to get released. And then the cowboys were like, not so fast. What if I just would if I gave you a fourth round pick, would that make things any better? Like, what what happened with that? I think it was just that, oh, I'm getting cut. And then what happens usually with, I mean, we saw that two with the Raiders they traded for Toran Johnson. And it was a six seventh round
swap from the bills. Oh, I'm going to, I'm going to release. And sometimes that's where that public messaging actually teams go, oh, he's going to release. And then they go, rather than him hit the waiver wire, okay, we'll trade for him. Rather than it become an open market, we kind of fudge the market and we just jumped the line. So obviously, about fourth to me means
somebody offered probably a six or fifth. And they're like, and Jerry sees that first rounder next to
his name. And just goes, yeah, fourth rounder because he's he's addicted to guys that were
“formally drafted in the first round. So I think that's what happened is just that they tried”
to jump the line. We saw that with the David Montgomery trade last week where originally his report is a fifth. And then I actually went for a fourth and an, an offensive line in some, and some other, I think a seventh rounder or something is because once it gets announced, it's still not official. Yeah. So it's like that's the thing. And I'm not a team that has to deal with the fall back of going, like, I actually were doing this instead. So that's why I think happened is that Jerry said,
screw that. I'm, I'm giving them a fourth instead. So I think that's just what the trickled down after he announced that whole little thing. So I'm sure he got, did you say you got hacked? I, I believe he got hacked. Yeah, I believe he definitely got hacked. That wasn't, yeah, that's the point. Yeah, you know, a guy went that out. I mean, that would make a lot more sense if other teams were offering a fifth and a sixth. And then Jerry was just like, okay, I'll be,
I'll be the crazy asshole that goes over the top. I'll give you a fourth and let's get it done walk away. We don't have to negotiate that much longer. What about a team that kind of sat on their hands a little bit? Is there a team that you thought would be more active on day one? I wouldn't say I thought they would be more active, but I, I, it's really interesting what's going on with the Eagles, because they kind of cash, they're not broke with their cash strapped because of just their contracts right now.
And it's just, they're not doing anything. They're really just sitting on their hands. And that's just, they're at a huge crossroads as a franchise. Just, I mean, losing offensive line coach, you have style when he retired. Lane Johnson's coming back, but their whole offensive line seemed like they're contemplating retirement. Now, you got the AJ Brown trade hanging up over their head. They're losing a great safety and read black and chip. I really like him. I actually
like that signing by the Texans, fits their defense perfectly. But I, I, they're lost in the Kobe Dean, who's been banged up. That's another Raider signing, but he's been banged up. So I, I understood
“that. That's why they drafted a hot camel, et cetera, et cetera. But I do think that this team is”
they're shopping Jalen Carter, and that's very real. And that's, there's a lot of smoke there, but also if I were another team and how we called me and said, hey, Jalen Carter's on the market, I'd be like, what do you know? Yeah, right. That's a big buy. That's a fair question. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's a big buyer who wear, but the Eagles are just at a crossroads as a team right now. And then this is somewhat by design. This is how we kind of does it. He does
how he rose money. He does those pushes. And then they kind of reset and we're at that kind of reset stage. But they, I mean, they're inactive because they have to be because they're strapped right now. And then they're also just got the AJ Brown thing hanging over their head. Some of them are by choice by them. But I do think that that, that they're interesting to me because it's just that this is a, that it's a weird, I mean, the cowboys are pushing this here. Yeah. So I'm, like, how much of a
reset is this for the Eagles? They, like, they don't have no tight ends on the roster right now. It's just a, it's a very weird roster at this point in time. Yeah. Another one that was kind of weird to me was I don't really understand the Steelers strategy, where adding Michael Pittman, another like bigger guys, you know, possession receiver, back. So unless the strategy is literally we're going to build every receiver for Aaron Rogers to be able to throw back shoulder passes along
the sidelines and over the middle like in, and he won't throw any interceptions. What, what are the Steelers doing? I wish I could tell you, trying to sell season tickets. That's, that's, that's
Kind of been my, because they were hiring my hiring Mike McCarthy and just au...
yeah, we're the only Aaron Rogers team essentially. We would love to have him back. And Rogers last year, the thing that was, I would say frustrating when watching them is that y'all have friends, it wasn't awful. Last year, the run game was pretty good. The young offensive lines decent and Pittsburgh, like Zach Frazier, the center is very good. They got some other talent up there, I'm a core, I'm a conphoto, but they had no receiver too, which you felt, but that's also like
why I pay or Rogers. Right. Because you're supposed to make this all better. And I thought so many times it was frustrating, like he pushed the ball, like didn't push the ball at all.
“Like he was throwing sure the sticks at one of the highest rates on record. I think it was like”
him and the one year Alex Smith was with the commanders, like that, that's way short of the first
down market. He was checking everything down, throwing underneath or throwing go balls. And that's not going to lead to a lot of sustained success. So if you're going to have a quarterback do that, you need guys that can break tackles. Pitman, I like, but not, he's not a tackle break. Right. Like you say, he's a back shoulder guy. So like I understand a trait, they need a receiver too. And I understand why they maybe went for a guy that was on the market, like pitman,
because of the peer stuff, with the cults and everything. But I thought they need a little more juice. Because they need guys that can take stuff that's a two-year gain and take it 20. The back shoulder living, it's like just kind of a hat on a hat with this team. Yeah, I saw someone tweet it perfectly. They're like, if Aaron Rogers comes back, the Steelers have basically built like the perfect, like Turkey Thanksgiving Day, like pick-up game
off-ends. Yeah. Where's just a little things to dust? Yeah, just a little. No, it gets separation, but that's okay. And you know, we'll just go just throw it back shoulder and just kind of muck it down the field. Yeah, I don't, I don't really understand that one, but it, it is where do you think out of peers? I, I think he's awesome. People were like, oh, that's a lot of money.
I think he, you tell me if I'm wrong, but like, I always saw him as a guy who played a role for the
Colts, because there was a Michael Pittman there, where now he'll do more for the Colts and just be the go-deep and, and, you know, go-ball guy. Yeah, and he was always been the, the go-ball guy. It's now why he had so much success last year, is because he added to his gain. Right. Like he, his routes are getting a little cleaner. He's always going to be kind of, he's never going to be a high-end route runner, because it's just some of his physical limitations. Like he's a little
stiff-hipped, but he is like, he's added to his game. He comes down with the ball and explosive plays
“or the name of the game. And that's why he, it's not only just his catches, it's his gravity.”
You know, that's what, that's why you pay a guy like that is because every snap, the defense has to honor him. The defense has to make sure they have somebody over the top. They safety's can't play low, because at any time the safety's have to worry about him running 40 yards down
the field. So that's like why he is, like, speeds always going to be at a premium. But when you see
like last year, guys, like two to out, well, get like 11 million dollars, like, our peers is twice the player of that. So, got twice the money. I do think that that's why it's rich, but that's the free agency market. And he's kind of earned that right, but he's added to his game. I think ideally he's a high-end two for you. But what the culture trying to do is that we have Warren, we have the downs who do their best work underneath and in the intermediate areas. And if you had another guy,
like, say, Pierce wasn't there. It's just Pittman. That's going to make a very tight offense. Like, everything's just going to be tight. But now you have Pierce out there. Defenses run softer coverageers because they have to have a safety over the top. It's the rainy mass effect. I know
“I'm not comparing how Pierce the rainy mass, but that's what speedsters do. We have to run”
cover two. Otherwise, he's going to burn us. Well, what cover two does, then we can run on it. And they have Jonathan Taylor. So it's that the trickle down about Pierce's worth the money that they paid up because even if he is only a thousand yard receiver on 50 catches, doesn't matter because what he does for everybody else is like worth the money. Yeah. What do you think about the quarterback market about Malik Willis to the dolphins? Yeah. To a to the falcons. And then the big one
that's still out there, Kyler Murray. We don't know where he's going to go, but it's going to be very interesting wherever he ends up. But what do you think about what's happened so far with those two? Malik kind of made me feel a little bit better that I read the signs, right? The former Packers coach and the former Packers GM go there and they signed the former Packer and I was like, "Okay, good." That's what the like the Cardinals were sniffing around and I was like, "Why are you sniffing around?"
Like, you guys should be the tank commanders this season. I shouldn't like some of the sneaky signs for the Cardinals, but they should be watching a lot of Texas film. The jets and Arizona should be watching a lot of Texas film this year. Yeah, I think the Cardinals truly love Jacobie Percent. Yeah. I can't put it in percent as a quarterback. Yes. You know, Gardner Mitchell is going to lead him to wait him to success. No, but with Malik Willis,
that's exactly what we could have figured. It's like kind of the Darnal contract we've got Seattle, maybe a tick lower. It's really a two-year deal. They're guaranteed through two years. It's a try out. I would rather they kind of embrace the tank, maybe trade for like Davis Mills or something
Because Bobby Slook is the coach there though, see there from the Texans, but...
dark throw. Hey, if we get more out of it, he's a very exciting player and he's got a lot of tools.
He's supposed to be a great dude as well. Maybe you get something out of it, but I think it's an expensive experiment where they might just get caught in the middle because he'd be competent enough. But I think that's a fair contract. That's kind of like the lower middle-class contract, which is kind of was not an existing a few years ago. It's kind of coming back for quarterbacks because every before it was just like, pay two or forty eight. Okay, who's next paid? Okay, pay him forty nine.
Mike, this is just one more than the last guy. But the rest of the guys, like I'm more interested, will Kyler go into the, it seems like stars are aligning with him in Minnesota, which I actually think is a better stylistic fit than people think. Because KOC likes,
“guys, they can launch it. That's what Kyler does best and he can do some creation throwing on the”
move. Gino Smith is interesting. Now, he's out there. Kirk Cousins is interesting. He's out there.
Like those guys, I'm curious where they're supposed to be assume, you know, the Rogers to stealers, Kyler, maybe to the Vikings. I'm curious where those other guys kind of end up, like, because now two are going to the Falcons. I actually thought Stefansky, Cousins, maybe that they would kind of rekindle that relationship, but obviously it seems like that's done. But two are going there. I think that's more of a, hey, we don't want to like change it from a lefty quarterback to a
righty quarterback, right? Yeah. Also, if I could blend Pune, Pune, Pune, Penex and Tua together, Pune, that's all the quarterback. Yeah, I like it's a great quarterback. Yeah, I know. But it's kind of funny, because they're Senner's lefty. Yeah, Pujon Robinson's lefty, Drake London's lefty. Yeah. They've a lot of lefties. A bunch of that team. Yeah, bunch of me up and down there. Yeah. Yeah, no, I know. A little leftory of down there. That,
that to me was, was interesting, because I feel like that is, and we said this about to in Miami, like if you get a good roster round and he can be a good quarterback, now they've got like a good dynamic offensive roster in Atlanta, and they also have been a fit of playing half their games and doors. So like this, it does feel like the perfect, if two is ever going to be good, this is the place to do it. Yeah, and this offense is going to ask him to throw the route, say he's kind of
comfortable throwing, maybe not to the extent of what McDaniel was doing the Dolphins, because that was kind of a circus team, like they were their own thing. But as far as just some of the
“play-actious stuff, he's comfortable doing it, and that's what Stefanski does. I mean, Pujon Robinson's”
the engine of that team, and Stefanski's the same guy that drove Nick Chub. So that's not going to change. But I do think that some of the play-actious stuff does fit too up, maybe rather than pennies, but because pennies are just not comfortable turning his back to the defense, which kind of saw last year, that's what, you know, some of those play-actious stuff, that's what happens when you're on your center in the pistol. Two is a little bit more comfortable with that. But also,
I think this is a quiet tank. A little bit for them, though. Yeah, I think this is a regroup year. Obviously, that's why you go for a tour. Just kind of like, yeah, we don't care about feelings, like whatever, just as long as we can assess everybody else. I'm more interested, even, just quarterback-wise, like the backups, the tantrum of keys of the world, Tyson Baggian, so the world. Yeah. Like, if they have a market, because I think the key would
be such an interesting name for teams or a beige and even too. So that's why I'm still keep mind those guys. I think what's the power thing happens, then we're going to see the trickle down, you know, with everybody else signing what not. I hate to make declarative statements during free agency, but I, the Rams are the best team in the NFC now, I think. I know that's crazy. They only got, they got two guys. They literally needed like the weakness of their team last year was
they had bad cornerbacks and they could never, they had to play zone all the time and got shredded
in big moments. And then they go and get McDuffer, Trafer McDuffer, and then Sign Jill and Watson, I'm like, well, that's a wrap. They're the best team in the NFC. Is that crazy? Yeah. No, well, keeping their top 15 pick. Right. Uh, yeah. No, I, I'm right there with you. There, that was, it was a credit to what Chris Shulow was doing, the defense corner that he was getting the most out of a manual forbs. And, and I think Kobe Durant's actually a solid player,
but I mean McDuffer and Watson are big upgrades. McDuffer is excellent. Right. I could say I'm kind of like, you know, low-end tier one or high-end tier two corner that can play in the slot. He's super instinctive. He's very smart. He knows he's aggressive. Like, the, also the defense that he ran in Kansas City translates great to what Shulow does. Um, so I go with what Spaggs does in KC, to what Shulow does in L.A. Like, as far as, like, they do a lot of, um, what they call palms,
but they trap guys and that it really takes advantage of the corner's eyes at their very aggressive. And the fact that he can play in the slot, they have so many guys that can play in the slot,
“which is, that's why they play so many, so much dime for 60 beats. Uh, is because they have”
so many guys that are valid on the inside. So he's another weapon that can throw it off at
Texas.
that was a fair trade, but, um, like, I just love that signing or trade. But then the Watson signing was one of those, because I thought he was a nice kind of upper middle class free agent. Like, he's a really good two, the chiefs fell off when he was on the field. And he goes, he just follows him to the ramps. And so everything I said about McDuffee being a scheme fit, all that stuff. It matches, it's perfect for that, too. So I'm right there with you. And now they can do whatever
they want with that first pick, and they're really interesting. Yeah. There you go, tight end,
receiver, old line. Do you have, I had another edge? Do you tag, like, they could do so much with that first pick. So yeah, I, I, they're my favorites in the MCU as well right now. A real quick name. I, I wanted to ask you about something because we've known how to had you on the show before. And, um, I was going back. I was looking at your college stats, um, kind of time at Wisconsin. Do you have, is this the best stat line ever? Your college stat, is this, is this true? You have
one attempt rushing for 17 yards in a touchdown? Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. So I'll rate it with 17 drinks afterwards. And the Dora Dormo, who you remember much. No, that, yeah, that was the stat line. I'm the human victory cigar at Wisconsin. Uh, you know, that I would come in when it was a blowout. Yeah. And then they ran, I, what they call Lonesome, which is a quarterback keeper.
And it was a play that isn't supposed to have a Lonesome on it because it was designed to get me
smoked by, like, an adressor or something like coming off the edge. And we're playing Indiana. Not, not this iteration of Indiana. Yeah, older than 10 Indiana. Yeah. Uh, a 83 scoring 83
“points on them Indiana. Uh, so yeah, that's why I got dropped in there. And then the DN was just lazy.”
And I just was able to scoop, I am for, for a touchdown. But I was supposed to get, I was supposed to get to cleat it. Or close line, or to him stong, or whatever wrestling movie you want to say. That was a play. And that's awesome. Did you have a touchdown celebration ready? I did the JJ watch rug. Okay. And we were, you were teammates, but I don't think anyone realized what that was trying to do. I think I ever, I, I got whiplash to because my teammate Ryan
groy had buttoned me so hard after his course. I might have a look at us. Oh, it's a great start line, the like a perfect college start line. Yeah. Yeah. No passes. Just just around, baby. No, police just get, no, yeah, exactly. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, more touchdowns. You make all the shots. You don't say. Yeah, you have more touchdowns. I think completions. That's pretty impressive. Yeah. Thank you. Appreciate it. Yeah. No,
dual threat weapon. That's how I run associated me with that five, two, 40 hours running. All right. So the, the, the reverse of the Rams can't walk or go into the chiefs. I do not
“reverse, but you know, the two chiefs players are the Rams. I love this for the chiefs. Is that crazy?”
I know you're not supposed to pay running backs, and especially in free agency. But it's like, the chiefs have been, they have just not had any explosive dudes. Obviously, where she rises, but like they just, they just, it feels like chiefs have not had pop to their offense for a while now. And now you got a guy who can actually run the ball. Yeah. And this, they've needed this for like three years now. And it's, you know, Pecheco did a fine job, but Pecheco
wasn't this. And whether it was ETN, Travis ETN, or Kent Walker, I was like, they were in the market for both of those. And that was like, I, for a lot of teams, I wouldn't maybe like this, but for the chiefs, this is like, yes, this is exactly what they need. Right. Like, Walker, you know, some of those visions can be iffy, but he's so explosive we saw in the playoff run. He can just create something out of nothing. And with the chiefs have run into, there are offensive lines
going to be good next year. And I think that it's kind of getting underrated how good the chiefs offensive lines going to be. And, but they've been one of the most efficient run games, meaning so they've been getting four yards, five yards. But Patrick Mahomes had more explosive scramble's last year, which is a gain of 10 or more yards or 12 and more yards than the run and backs had gains of 12 and more yards last year. Patrick Mahomes list the last, last, what month and a
half of the season? Yeah. Yeah. And this is two years running that they've done this where they've had like a top 10 efficient run game. So it's like they get a lot of singles. It's like an each year old run game. And then just get no pop. And now they get a guy that can hit home runs. And so Walker can be limited in protection, some detail stuff, but that's fine with the chiefs because they don't need that. Other offenses maybe need a guy that's has some a little
bit different kind of play style. So this is awesome. Like the the chiefs have gotten smaller and slower. They're skilled guys over the last like five years. And now they need to juice and they need size at like tight end. And they need a little bit more at receiver too. They brought back Tyquon Thorough, in which I actually like because I liked his role with my homes. But I love this. Screens, big plays. This is like we can find the guy that can get four or five yard plots. Now
you get a guy that can take once in a house. And I think he's going to like earn that contract.
“You know he gets banged up too. He's always going to need a number two with them. That's why”
Charbon A always got touches before he got hurt. But I love this for the chiefs. I really did.
I also they signed a defense attack. I really like Tyres Tonga. And I like that signing too. So yeah, the chiefs actually had a solid day as far as not just Walker but Tonga and Thorough
Two is kind of the middle class signings as well.
that just happened. Oh, just as we're taking. Oh, which is nice because now we don't have to watch. Oh, sorry. Nope. That's the bills. Bills. Bills agreed to a new contract. I don't make sense. I got I got fooled by an Adam Shefter notification that when I hit show more showed me the official. Now I'm bummed out because I'm sick of watching Dalton Kinet or Dawson Knox and Dalton Kinet. Well, now I'm talking to you. Hey, don't you. And get a few. One on which one. And the DKs just caught a pass for
third and eleven. So now that we get to do it. That's 80, 80, 86, too. That does help. No, it's both
because my Rams Titan theory. There was a couple of times a year where I just bet all the white tight ends for the Rams to score because I was so sick of a white Titan scoring for the Rams looking up and being like, oh, I don't have them. So I would just spray the boards take all four people celebrated that black and ship is no longer with the eagles. Yeah, we don't have the yeah, yeah, yeah, I have to worry about Cooper Degene and black and ship wearing 32 and 33 and go,
it feels even play other players confuse them. Yeah, yeah, you see that clip right. Yes, one up to read. He's like, I know, I'm not cooped that's the other guy. I do have another question that vibes wise. My Kevin's going to the Niners. I don't think that's like, I love my
“Kevin's, I think he's an awesome, you know, he's a Hall of Fame receiver, he's awesome receiver,”
incredible career. He'll be good for the Niners. But to me, it was more damned as he hates odd bulls.
Is that fair? Right. Like that's very bizarre to me. The Mike Evans who's played for the box for that long. One jersey guy. Like the money seemed the same and he's like, no, I don't want to do this anymore. It was the fact that he was like, oh, I want to play with, I think a high-end quarterback or a winning quarterback and I want to play with the team now wins. If the team that's just won all these divisions, everything. Yeah, there was something off there. The fact that
he was like, no, I'm not going to take the whole, like any hometown discount. I'm out. Like I'm going all the way across. And the fact that he stated reasons as opposed to just like, hey, I want to find a new spot. Right. You know, and the guy that is now battling, you know, he's been so durable, but you battle injuries last year going to the place that has the, you know, such a big substation. Everybody's worried about, you know, but we can't blame that, right? Yeah. No.
But I do think that that there's the fact that he said it in that way. He tried to be professional, but saying the statements that he did, like he could have just said nothing. Right. So the fact that he said that is a message. A guy that's been kind of a warrior for this franchise, go down bad. I mean, they've once there's some bad years and 2010s. So like, it's, that's, it's indicative of something. And I think that's the bugs, the bugs are an odd team. Yeah. Is he going to be good for the
“Niners, you think? I think well, I'll tell you what's Shane a hand. Yeah. That's why I'm like, yeah,”
like, but he's not going to be to the extent of what he was obviously in his prime of 33. Yeah. And come off in injury, but in that offense, yeah, like, Shane a hand will find a way to use him great. Whether it's, I mean, with, yeah. I think he's just going to be very effective. Maybe that two, whether he was two years ago, where he just broke a thousand, something like that. And then he's got a good amount of touchdowns. That's the thing, Kyle Shane's really good in the red zone.
And Mike Evans is really good in the red zone. So like that's where you'll feel kind of how Devente Adams was this year, almost like a designated hitter. Right. You know, where it's like, you know, like certain games he showed up, but also in the red zone boom, the ball's going his way.
So with other teams, I wouldn't like this, but with Kyle Shane a hand, he's always going to
get the most out of his guys. And now he's got just a supremely talented guy, even if the guy's waning. It's kind of the, I kind of rambling here, but it's the, I wanted just from a basketball guy. He's with the nuggets. But he was saying it's the Vince Carter theory, where a guy that starts as an excellent athlete, they actually age into good role players if they care about the game enough. And Evans, it seems like he does. So same kind of thing, where he ages into a good role player
as opposed to, you know, a star. But I liked it. Yeah. Yeah, I thought that was an interesting one too. I'm looking at your big board that you have here. You have, you've got Ruben Baines still at number four. Is that, is that a, a common take amongst the, the draft nicks that are put together. They're, they're big boards in their mocks or have, are you an outlier than you've kept them up there, even though he's got the gummy bear arms. I know, I don't know. And I'm all about length. Like,
I'm, I am a guy that I like tools and traits. And I usually defer to tools and traits. That's
“what the NFL's all about. But I also, I care about a guy that, the fence of the run. And that's why”
I think I have Baine just stacked up a little bit higher than David Bailey, who David Bailey is going to be a force as a past rusher. I just have questions about how he defends the run. And if you're taking the guy in the top 10, I think Baine has a cap ceiling. But I do like him. I think he's going to end up just being a good pro. Almost like, it's weird. Almost a safer bet. Like, I've compared him the Brandon Graham, where that's where I think he's very similar stylistically and build wise.
But again, Brandon Graham, I think, was only like a one time all pro. You know, it wasn't this
Guy.
kind of deferred to Baine is because, alright, he's tenacious. He can be an effective past rusher. I think he's going to end up being like a six to eight sack guy. But the fact that he's going to be a good run defender as well, that can kick inside. That's just to me, there's, there's a lot of good there, even if there's not a lot of overwhelming or a lot of great with his arms or some of the twitching this stuff and everything that's associated with that. But this is what this draft class
“is, though. It's, and I think I even said that my right up is that like he kind of epitomizes this”
class. A player I really like, but maybe I don't love and he has a blemish that kind of, has you squinting just a little bit. But that's just the higher draft classes like this. Yeah. Is there, is there another quarterback that you have that could be a first round guy? Because we've heard like Ty Simpson has been, like people have been talking about Ty Simpson a lot. I saw that you had Nussmire at at 38. Is there another guy that you think could slide in that first round?
Those are the two. If they're working to be won, is Simpson in Nussmire. I've been squinting and trying to find others. But I think that they only can get so high, you know, tailing green had a great, great, great, great, great combine. And I was already interested in him as a day three guy. You know, he reminds me a lot of Randall Cunningham. It's just that he has some accuracy stuff underneath. But he has some games like the Texas A&M game is really positive for you as far as processing as far
as decision making on top of all the tools that you can bring as a runner and a thrower. But he's like, again, that's day three. I can only get so high with a true project like that or a quasi project. But I think it's Nussmire and Simpson are the only ones that can kind of
maybe get to that first round. You never know. But I will say that that's just how, I think
even guys that we know of, you know, Carson back, that's a clear day three guy to me. I'm getting more interested in guys from like North Dakota State or Jack Strand from Minnesota more head. Like the I'm like trying to jail and Daniels from Kansas. Like I'm trying to find more maybe interesting day three guys than maybe over if I were a team than overreaching for these other guys that to me or clear like I say day three guys as opposed to round three or round two that
can maybe sneak up into me that's only Nussmire and Simpson at this point in time. I got a question about the bears. I love the Kobe Bryant signing. Devin Bush as well. Hey, is this, is this a lot of Dennis Allen like like getting the guys that he needs to run his defense and and how do you like what did you think about their first day? Because they don't have a ton of cash left. So it's probably going to be about this and then trying to fill a lot more
holes in the draft. Yeah, I mean, they need to safety with both of the safety is coming free and Bryant fits their defense perfectly because Mike McDonald and what they didn't see at all. It's kind of hard work. You know, whatever team wins everyone's like, oh, this is the new trend. Everybody's going to copy this. It's kind of hard to copy Mike McDonald who's just a incredible
coach and runs everything. I always call it a kaleidoscope scheme. You just runs everything and
you just coaches it really well that week. But why that's a good thing with Bryant is that as a safety, they, safety's have to be the smartest guys now. Where we used to think of, you know, Mike Ryanbacker still have to be it. But a lot of that operation pre-snap has shifted back to safety's. We see more safety's with the green dot like at the play calls now because of that because they're on the back end. Everything's top down now with all this quarters coverage. So I'm
bringing this all up because Dennis Allen is a very creative defense coordinator. You see it a lot on passing down. It's like third down. But also, you know, down to down. He can kind of do some funk. You
“know, he's got some stuff to his defense calls. Why you need to to operate that to execute”
that, you need smart safety's. And that's what Bryant is. And a twitchy safety's got range as well. So if you're having a guy on the line of scrimmage, that's the run all the way back. You need to guy with some speed and he has that as a convertive corner. I would say he's a willing tackler. As opposed to maybe a very sound one, some C. Oxfans got really mad that said he was a sound tackler. It's okay, willing tackler. I'm so sorry. Okay. But I do think that I love that signing.
Like I really did. I thought the price was fair. I think he was the best safety on the market. Once especially with his camcroll was gone. I just love that fit. I'm curious how they address the draft. I really think they need defensive beef upfront to help. And Allen needs he likes size and he likes guy. This type of defense needs guys along the spine. So you need defensive tackles, knee linebackers, that can blitz and then you need safeties. That can blitz and do everything.
Everything has to come along to spine. And so now you see where they sign, linebacker and safety. And if you pass it back, defensive tack on the draft or something when defensive that would. And that they sign a defensive tack goes well, right? Yeah, they went literally defensive
“tack, a linebacker safety is there three signings on defense. That's what they have to address.”
And that's what this defensive system needs is. Yeah, guys along the spine. Okay. All right. What do you think about a dafeo way to the commanders? It seems like a huge contract.
Whenever I see a hundred million dollars in the commanders in '68, that I just I think about Albert Haynesworth.
That's right, it's true. You know, it's a problem reaction or whatever. I'm like, that's okay.
The AKP has bad as that at least.
was very productive. Had some great years or some solid years on the ravens as well, leading up to that half season with the chargers, is he more of what we've seen before or is this like a red flag almost because it's like contract year and then he just jumped off the page at you. Well, I wish I could have a straight answer because I, when I watched him with the chargers, he was kind of a different player. And even Nexian stats had a great stat on it. He had the six
size pressure rate once he joined the chargers in a week six in the entire NFL. And you know, that's something guys with Miles Garrett, all that. I will say though, that's with Jesse Minter coaching him.
“And that's what Jesse Minter dialing up plays that led to some on-block pressures,”
led to some creative looks for him where he took advantage of him. He did play like a guy in this contract here. And I mean, that's a positive, but also me, that is a, so it's what you want to argue for. It's a pretty, again, it's a pretty penny. That's a lot of money to throw at him. But he's got traits. He tries hard, which is also what he want to pay a guy. You want to make sure that they have the, you don't want them to be like Hainesworth. Yeah. Hey, I'm also on these laying
down. And he literally on a snap. But I do think that it's like you are paying a premium because of just like he has a market for a reason because he's young. He has some production of point to the ten-sec years a little fake. I think what he did with the chargers is the most real. But is it Jesse Minter in that defense or is it, hey, now the stock's going up and something click? Probably somewhere in between, but they needed to do it. They need, again, this is now,
hopefully we're doing so Armstrong coming back because I did think he was looking really good. That's a great player. Yeah. Now, again, in the draft, you open up paths. Now, you can kind of, oh, we don't have to draft an edge because that's where everyone's been mocking, right? To the commanders is like David Bailey or Bain or Keldrick Faulk or somebody that's there. Now, you can kind of open up the paths for the drafts. I do like that, even if it is a lot of money,
I will say, why did they let go of tower Beatish? More than anything with the commanders, that is
the one thing I'm not understanding, even if he's not an amazing center, is that what's their plan now?
I don't know, they just kind of create a new gap for themselves and then Beatish got a race. Yeah, that's crazy, crazy. Yeah, so that's, the commanders, everything, the only one I'm fine with because that's like, if you're going to bed on a guy, oh, he's there's more to tap into
“here. He's not maxed out. That's why how I think of Oh, yeah. But like, why they move on from”
Beatish? Like, that's where he just seems like, yeah, I don't know, one one step backwards, one step forward kind of thing for the commanders. They had a weird kind of a couple days. I also feel, I feel better about Oh way because knowing that he was drafted by the Ravens, they're a very good team when it comes to drafting players. So I put like some stock of that. I'm like, okay, well, then he's got, he's a good guy. He's got a good motor. He cares about the game.
He's smart atters. The Ravens, or he did that homework for me. But yeah, $68 million is uh,
that's a lot of money. I had one more question about the draft for you. So I know that you have uh, you have love uh, rank pretty high, right? Did you have a number three overall on the big board? Okay. So how does he compare it to running backs that we've seen in the last few years? Like, Bajon Robinson, uh, Gibbs and Gentie coming out. How does he stack up with those coming out? He's, I have them over Gibbs. He's bigger than Gibbs. Um, I really like Bajon coming out. So I
probably have Bajon slightly higher. Uh, but he's up there for guys I've watched. I've been struggling to find a real good comparison for him. Uh, I've seen the Reggie Bush won, but Reggie was a little bit more fluid, but I get the skill set. Um, and I, and I, I don't want to be like toll, hipster, and trying to think some of the 80s and 70s guys. Like, there's a little, uh, if you remember the guy David Johnson for the Cardinals, there's a little running style like that. He's a better version of
that, maybe not as big. Uh, uh, it. So there's one guy he runs like, but I don't, obviously I don't know what I'm saying. It's a good clip. He runs like O Jason's. Okay. So it's like, as far as we're running style. Well, the football player, the football player. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yes, on the field only. And yes, and he can catch the ball better than that. Uh, but anyways. Okay. This is the show. You can say that. You can just hang on. Yes. I, I, I, I, I, I did. Yeah, but like, we're able to just hit a wall about three
times before that thought got out. Yeah. No, he's got a lot of, like, I can't wait to see that. Can't wait to see that clip. No, but it's good. Uh, no, with Jeremiah love, though, it's like, and I think you
“see that's why I run a Mexican paid and run a Mexican game draft is because if you're going to give”
a guy 20, 25 touches, like, the better we valid. And if defenses are daring us to run the ball,
what's to have a guy that, like, kind of Walker just got paid 15 million. But it's have a guy that
can take a five yard game 50. And Jeremiah love can do that. And the other thing, this is why maybe I had gives a half step half tier below. These other guys is he was terrible in past protection when he aired the NFL. Now he's pretty good at it. Um, is that love can stand the field every down. So it's the girly thing. It's the zeek thing. Um, is that they don't have to come off the
Field.
There's no limitations. Uh, so I think that's where I, I, I really, that's why I think I have
“them so high. Not think that's why I have them so high is because of that is because he has that”
every down skill set and you can take the ball to the house. And that, that to me is just like that's valuable. I don't know what his draft range is, especially after like the chiefs paid for a guy. I think it's really more interesting what his range will actually end up being. But he's a guy that I'm very comfortable taking the top 10, especially in this draft class that has so many blemishes. Yeah. It's like his, his blemishes that he's running back. That's it. Yeah. Yeah. It's weird.
No. Yes, sure. It didn't really go his way in terms of some of the landing spots could be interesting where he falls to now because like obviously the raiders are not going to take them. The jets, you know, are keeping briefs all the, the cardinals, right, Tyler Algier. You know, but there's a lot of teams like the, the kind of the walker to the chiefs, the at the end to the Saints. It's weird. I don't really know where he's going to end up going now. Yeah. And I see the
titans rumors have four, but I'm like 10 and see you guys got so much. You need to be addressing but who knows? That's, I'm seeing like, but like, since now he's got changed Brown, Devon A chance with the dolphins, uh, Javante Williams just got resigned by the Cowboys. You're just going one by one. The Rams, maybe they want girly virtue, but they kind of, they've kind of, they've kind of Williams, but that's the thing that could be interesting. Like the raiders just went genty, uh,
you know, the, the box, but they just sign can't gain well. And who knows what's going on with
bucky Irving, um, like they're laying the spot potentially. You never know what the, the box
you're going to do. Like you said, the jets, the lines, the Vikings, maybe, but the Vikings have a bunch of holes. Yeah. And you know, so it's like their, his, his range is very interesting. And it's like, something going to trade up for him. You know, like somebody in the 20s gets giddy and moves up for him, like that it's, I'm very interested where he ends up, but having said that, like I, I like him a little better than genty because I thought genty took so much contact that it was like
I was a little hesitant about how his career ends up, but I really liked him. Obviously, I thought he was a guy that was again valid to go in the lottery, but I just think loves got just a little bit more to him even than that. So just very curious where his range goes. Yeah. After you get, get away from Windows or to me at least, it feels like the two guys that are that are, um, slotted like in the top 10, that are the most complete players would be love and then Caleb downs. Two guys that are like the,
the big downside to these guys is the position that they play. Yeah. Should we spend a top 10 pick
“on a safety, even though he's clearly a top 10 talent. Yeah. I, I think so. In this class, yes,”
and ever other classes that have more loaded talent, maybe not, but in this class, yes, because I'm much rather, especially with downs, and, and we just, Schubert, just talking about what Kobe Bryant goes into the bears. If he's in the right, the hands of the right defensive coordinator, he can do what like a center does on offense, like just call him everyone else down, kind of get everyone lined up. And it's kind of, he's kind of his own thing, but there's more safety's playing
like this. He has a lot of bootabaker to his game and his usage, where they kind of do this rover, where it's a, it's, it's hard to describe, but it's in between the linebackers and the safetys. Essentially, it's, and then he kind of, old school, they used to call it a monster back, which is signed by Seaball Giple. But they, like, he, what's, because why they do that is you're letting him use his football IQ to read the game out and close. And more safety's are getting
used this, like, even a, uh, dealing team in, uh, team him in from Oregon, gets used this way a little bit as well. It's a good safety class, uh, a manual manual from Toledo's very exciting. It's got some cam chancellor to him. Uh, but I do think that with, with Caleb downs is that he can, again, provide that kind of boost effect for everybody else. He just sets it again in the hands of the right guy, but I do think he has some position for utility or I'm scheme versatility, like if it's a
quarter, safety or a quarter's defense or something like that. But again, in this draft class, I would much rather have that kind of what I consider quote unquote safer. I can envision how this guy's going to play for me as opposed to depends on what team you are, but as opposed to maybe, like, Celtic fall, who I really like, but it's like, hey, that's projection. Yeah. You know, that's, that's a lot of, like, hey, hopefully this works, or, you know, I probably defer it off, it's a lime
“and more, but there's some, often it's a lime and more projecty type of guy. So I, I think the”
sure thing of him is has some appeal in this type of draft class. Okay, Nate, I got one last question that's been awesome. Uh, you're recurring guests now. We, we love talking football with you. So we're definitely going to do it again. Robac question or HOBACK dot com promo code take 20% off
your first purchase. Cusives, Polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, Robac dot com promo code take, go
re-nate on Yahoo. You can listen to his podcast football 301, make you smarter, uh, better than idiots like us. By last question, would you, would you, would you sign tray Hendrix in it for how much? Yes, but not as much I think he's asking for because it's interesting. It feels like he's kind of the
Not overplayed his hand because obviously everything, you know, last year, a ...
Because again, age, if you see who's getting paid right now, younger guys, uh, you know, obviously
you want to get guys before their 30, which every year I get older than 30, I'm like, oh my god, man, this hurts. Uh, but I do think, too, is he has some limitations. He's an excellent password. You're like, no one ever doubts that is that he's a weakness against the run. So it's not just like, I'm trading for a Cleal Mac or I'm paying that or freaking Reggie White, you know, guys that are just dominant every snap. Hendrix in is a specific player. You know, he has to be used in certain ways and
“has to be kind of hidden at some time. So he's more of a luxury signing. Right. I think for a team.”
So it has to be a team that already has what I think is a good defensive structure that can maybe hold up against the run. Um, as opposed to like, like, the cowboys going after him, I would be
kind of, I'd laugh. I don't think they will because I don't think they have the money. But I laugh
because I'll be like, you said you guys are trying to get better against the run. Right. And then you go with that. So I think it's more of a luxury signing for somebody as opposed to like, we have to get them break everything. Oh my god, we have to get this guy because every single down. So it's kind of like a super, you know, like I say super luxury. It's like having a really good 3.5 shooter. And it's just like, yeah, yeah, he's really good to have. But I don't know how he plays on defense all the time. You know,
there's some limitations to like his skill set everything. So yeah, I think he's asking for a little too much for what his kind of archetype is, even if he is a very good player. Where would you like to see him go? Like where would his talents be maxed out? Oh my goodness. Man, actually,
the ramps. Yeah. Just as a fan of ball. Yeah. No, but they they can't afford that. You know,
like the chargers would be interesting. Some like that, like, you know, like if they just want to, like, put them over the top of the guy that could win on the past rush, they need some defensive help. I mean, the 49ers would be interesting. You know, those type of teams that are like like upper middle class teams that maybe get over the top for the contendership as opposed to maybe a middle class team. Yeah, that's a TVD on my answer on this because now I'm actually kind of marinated on it.
The Jaguars. Yeah. Yeah. Like the Jaguars put them over the top. Like those type of teams that
“like they're trying to make that last move. I'd prefer you go to an AFC team because I think they”
have seen so wide open. Like it's incredibly wide open. And so I understand teams that maybe are going to get aggressive with the softsies. And so that may maybe speak to aggression. Yeah. All right. Well, Nate, thank you so much. We appreciate it, man. You gave us a lot to think about. I like we're not the smartest football guys. We love talking to smart football guys. So everyone goes subscribe to football 301. And thanks so much, Nate. Thanks for having me. Good to see you guys.

You met at memes right now. No. I just noticed. Hashtag noticing. What was the noticing? What is wearing? What is he wearing? He's asking for it. That's all I'm saying. What's he wearing? That's skirt. We can't see it from over here. When you, when we guys
dressed like that, he's asking for. What is he wearing, Max? He would be wearing a Super Bowl LX champion Seahawks hat. Oh, it was just put on your desk memes. Yeah, we should put on my desk. So shout out who ever put it on. That is a cool, cool looking hat. What Super Bowl was that though? What's LX? Sixty, sixty. Yeah. You played that one. See Hawks in the Patriots. Oh, memes. What did you ask someone to put that on your desk? No.
People just know I'm a hack.
hat that's laying around? Memes will take the hats. Okay. If you get home, are you taking that personal? I'm just, I'm just noticing that. So you notice it. Yeah. You're in the noticing. Filing it into the, into the bank. Okay. All right. Guys on checks. This weekend, my fiance and I were at company
party for my work where they had laser tag. During the first 15 seconds of laser tag, my fiance
ran into one of my co-workers and chipped three of her teeth out. Oh, after going to the ER that night in a specialty dentist's following day, she needs to get three stitches a metal bar across both of the top and bottom row of teeth to straighten them. needs three root canows as well as three permanent crowns that you'll have to wear. Do you think she, she would have avoided this if she would have gotten lower or dropped a shoulder? I know she would love to get your guys and put
she doesn't say every episode of this podcast and we'll definitely hear this. That's tough. That's really tough. That's, that's, it depends on what her job is, but I would guess that it's a pretty big inconvenience for her to have three teeth missing at once. Is she Irish? She has soft teeth.
“Is that thing? Yeah. The Irish have soft teeth. Yeah. I think the Irish and English have soft teeth.”
What? What? That's something that is my teeth issues. I think yes. See, Irish soft teeth. She's pretty sure she's Irish. Not a lot of teeth. Soft teeth in the Irish context is historically refers to a 19th century stereotype about poor oral health due to diet. Okay. So I'm, I'm just rocking stereotypes from hundreds of years. Some old score days. Yeah. Let me teeth. No. I, listen, I think that this is going to be, it's going to be a tough, tough recovery for, it's going to be a very tough
recovery for your boyfriend. Oh, no. She got the Jack Hughes going. That's brutal. Let's see here. I feel bad for. I mean, yeah, you just got to go to as many hockey games as you can because hockey fans will appreciate that mouth right now. They'll be like, yeah, you're one of us. Tough check.
Here's, okay. This isn't going to help, but here's what I'll say is why were you playing laser
tag as an adult. Laser tags. Wait. No. Yes. No. Laser tag kicks ass. Laser tags. We're going to have to agree to disagree. Gotcha. That's not laser tag. That's painful. That painful loss. Same thing. No, it's not good laser. That's my point. Good laser tag. What's the difference? Rocks. Laser tag. I swear to God. Laser tag. I've done this right before, but laser tag, when it first came out, whatever it was, 25 years ago, it was the sport of the future. It was supposed to be awesome. I have not played
laser tag in, like, good. You say good laser tag. Yeah. Yeah. Where is their good laser tag? I'll find you good. Every laser tag that guns don't work. Hit someone who doesn't register. Sounds like a you process. There's so much suck at laser. So it sounds like two or two things. One big cat goes to some broadcasts. When do you guys last played laser tag? Two. He's not very good at laser tag and he gets frustrated. If he question, he gets shot and he's like, oh, it sucks. It's a
question because I guarantee I played more laser tag in the last five years than any of you guys here. So when's last time played laser tag? Last 7 laser tag is a game for children. Thank you. Thank you,
“Max. It's a children's game and the people as a man's game. So as an adult, you should not be playing”
chair. I'm not listening. Kids playing laser tag. Go have fun. You run around. That's great. If you're an adult playing laser tag, I'm not saying you deserve to get injured, but think about what happens when you do get injured, and then you have to tell a large office during laser tennis office of games for children. Where is the laser tag? Well, we should get some. We should get some good laser tag and we should turn all the lights off one night and set up like an obstacle course.
You know that sounds kind of sick. Good laser tag. You sound like we suck savory and we're doing what you want to be in his camp? What? What does it sound like he's like good laser traffic?
It is state draft of if you had like a dream house, what would you put in in his first pick was
a laser tag. And it was like, dude, how often do you play laser tag? And then I offered this like a year ago, I offered him free laser tag for life. I will pay for every laser tag game he plays for the rest of his life. He has yet to play because it's not a game for adults. I'm just saying if we set it up right, it would be good. I'm sorry that white socks Dave said it, but like white socks Dave also eats lunch every day. Does that do you have a problem with eating lunch
I'm just saying you don't you've played laser tag once or twice as an adult. And you have an nostalgia factor which I get. This dial just a strong drug. Laser tag is adult socks. If you had our
“office it would be safe. I'm on your side. Sure. In our office I think it would be cool if we did”
play. You know it would be awesome. Paintball in our office. Yeah, but then that gets all messy. Who cares, messy. People play in, crying. Somebody gets attacked. A girl gets hit in the mouth. She breaks three teeth. She complains about it. A bunch of real search and destroy. Great. What's that? Like called duty. Like real guns. And bombs. The most dangerous game. Yeah. Real guns. Yeah. He's talking about war. Yeah. I just think that anyone who any adult who
says they love laser tag is not played laser tag in a long ass time. I have nothing about it. I have not, but there's good laser tag places. There's bad laser tag places. There's bad laser tag places.
There's a lot more bad.
corporate company part. Yeah, just don't don't play the laser tag. What is that? You would play the laser tag. I played laser tag. Yeah. Sox. I do it by son because it's like, oh yeah, we come in and
“it's like this fucking son. So we're at a corporate party. I think think I can shot by a laser”
laser tag. And he's like this game. It's, they just have just hasn't broken containment. Like, I know you might not be in a laser tag when you're playing with your son. But if you get some adult comp and it's like, you want to hurt any break your teeth. That's every tell everyone you broke a teeth playing laser tag. That's any sport man. That's going to be a body on the line.
Technology just never progressive laser tag. I wanted to be better. I have a very clear understanding
of what happened. Big cat goes to play laser tag and they're going to target on your bad. There's like a dozen six year olds that team up like, like, they're seal team six. But I, and he's was some have been lawed and they plot out ways to get them and big cats like I'm not having fun. But I have to take before my kids taking me down. I thought laser tag every time I played laser tag, it's like this technology just never got that much better. It didn't. I don't even know.
Last time. Thank you. But I said, if we thought I remember it was fucking awesome. If we yes, I can't let the experiment. I agree with the right time to play. He doesn't 100% it would
be top of the line laser tag equipment does not exist in laser. Like, dude, it exists, but not in like
“90% of the laser tag places. That's why we're getting it here. But you're saying, like, hey, if you”
get like the seal from it, I would say, I would say is if you got the person I would version of this, say it would be awesome. Yeah. No shit. Yeah. I would like to go ahead and sponsor the Marshall Sports office for a set of top of the line laser tag. You're not, you're gonna be like one time. No, I'm talking about, I'm talking about like the best you can find out there. Go find. If you are a laser tag, like I want the, the arms dealer, but the arms dealer, me, the obstacles, and then, and then
then people fucking. Yeah. I don't get it in the game, and the scoring makes no say, let's forget the. Thanks. We'll get the obstacles. We're going to get a sweet setup. It's also the problem. Laser tag. I need you to, but I need you to not poo poo it until you try it, though, because right now you're poisoning people's minds before we get no game one. I can't give my opinion.
“I can't give my opinion. I will say it will be impossible to film. Correct. Why?”
I don't think I actually disagree. You ever see the cops? Laser tag. Laser tag. It sounds cooler than it is. Everybody gets everybody gets body cams. We still have socks. Yeah. We filmed with the paintball video. That was a great video. Paintball is awesome. I mean, if I was like, paintball and laser tag is something. No, because paintball is not going to hurt. When you hit one of them. You don't have to hit someone,
it hurts. And you know you hit them. Yeah. Laser tag. You still know you got hit. Not really.
Yeah. The systems always mess. Also the one time, like there's more discrepancy in paintball
that there's just people cheating blatantly cheating. Gotcha. There was there was the biggest fight of all time. Oh, no, shit. Billy refused to admit when he got hit. Who could have seen that coming? Jake didn't cheat. He did get hit. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. He said I said surrender. He said surrender. Okay. We're going to have to put in some clips. Yeah. You got to put that. Zack, I would like you to maybe take this on as your project. Find me top of the line. Laser tag equipment.
I'm talking to shit that like, that the navy uses to train their boys. You trying to run a dooders trio's or quads. How many sets? Let's get some options. Okay. You start getting some options. And then we're going to also figure out outfit. We're going to design a course. And I think I think it could make a good video. Because laser tag done properly kicks ass. I agree. Could be all time. Okay. Look at that. Look at this equipment.
You got a bow and arrow seconds. Probably gonna try a shoot. Look at those dudes. They're not those like stock. Never worse than the max. No, these are these are. I take a glow mat. This is a kids laser tag. Did the mats are the mats are paying for their bucks. I got I got a mask from a draft Kings. One of the red masks. Oh, nice. Laser tag for adult's. I'll look at that. It's called Paypal. It's awesome battle right. Paypal or Airsoft also awesome. Airsoft could be could trump Paypal. Airsoft is sick. It hurts a little bit. It's awesome. I think it hurts just enough, but not a paypal. Correct. I think laser tag is like TGL for Paypal.
Yep. Paypal is awesome. It's a Paypal simulator. Okay. What's the next one? Either way, this woman has to tell everyone that she got hurt playing laser tag. Also, it's not the end of the world because you've got hurt at a work event. So you can probably get time off. Just do that. Hey, big boys. My name is Hank Meems. I'm parentheses. Yes, PFT. You're now a big boy. I don't know. I don't think I like that.
My boy from won't go with me to dance lessons.
Is he just stubborn or am I in the wrong for making him go? To dance class now, is the idea going to dance class for your first dance as a couple?
“Isn't that always the idea? Yeah. It sounds like you're you're proposing to him. I've got to take him to the class. You have a dance class? Don't you have like seven? Why do you have to take it? Dance? I don't want to do it.”
Oh, it's all a slow dance. The first dance is a slow dance. I thought like a class of thought because you go to the first one. They're like, oh, one's not going to do anything. You got to you got to get a class of five. I'm I'm in the second of my five class bundle that I bought. I remember zero from class one. So we're just going to do the same song and dance. I'm going to I'm going to spend a lot of money to just not know how to dance. Which you already don't know learn how to dance. Also, what? What is it? What is it? What is it? I kind of agree. What is it matter? You don't want to look like an idiot.
That's what I've been. No one's going to tell no one's going to say you look like an idiot. It's your wedding. Thank you. Thank you. Have you thought about just doing like a dance dance? Not a slow dance. Like a choreograph dance between the two of you. I go. I'm not choosing anything. Yeah. But the first dance is no one even. Everyone's like, oh shit. Nice. The open bars back open. Yeah, you're in like dinner's dinner's done. Cool. And if you get like off speed off tempo just lean in and kiss each other. And then everyone's going to be like you.
Or just say everyone come to the dance floor dance for 15 seconds. It'd be like everyone come to the dance floor.
Fucking stupid. I don't know. It's tell here. This is always side with the guy here. This lady sounds like she's doing a dance class. That's her.
That's her way. Yeah, that's her way. Yeah, that's her way. Yeah, that's her way. Right. Get a fake Rolex. You won't know. Easy. All right. Last one. Why did you guys not ask each other personal slash intimate questions when you hang out? You only ask about surface level and stuff and sports.
“You don't talk about each other's wives and lives or how you've been feeling. You're missing out on a whole part of the life and why do you always feel like you have to go it alone.”
Damn. That's deep. Very deep. Because it's easier. I've said this before, but so I went dinner with four of my closest friends on Friday night. And I do this trick now at the end of dinner. I'm just like, hey, give me a fact. Give me something about your wife, kids work that I can bring back and report. It seems like we had a deep conversation when the majority of the conversation was like Max Crosby to the Ravens and I think that was about it. The thing is, guys, it's like, when we hang out with our friends, that's what we have to get away from all the other stuff.
So when you hang out with the boys, then you don't want to bring all the other stuff to the boys conversation. Also, just not that deep, I feel like you just want to hang out with the boys and not get serious. I don't even know what they do. It's better to know we don't hang out outside, but it's like we're boys. Also, let's just be totally honest here. A lot of the conversation with the boys is wildly inappropriate.
They take it out of context with the boys. They're like, they're shit that said that I wouldn't say around other people. So you can't just be bringing that outside the locker room. Like, that's just real truth is, if you're golfing with your boys, 90% of that kid is not for air. Would you guys talk about tips? Yeah, it's not for air.
Tits back in the day. Yeah. Dude, I love the first one. Some of my best friends in the whole world, like I could just sit and we just don't talk. It's awesome. Unless you're like that, that feel like the deep conversation is only come like when you're someone's really drunk.
And it's like the end of the night. And then you're like, all right. Oh, yeah. That's too much. I think I gotta go to bed.
Yeah, I can't solve these problems. See, they're like super late at night inside a bathroom stall. Yeah. I'm happy. I'm sorry you're having these problems, but I gotta go to bed.
Yeah. Well, guys don't need to talk like that. It's actually the reverse is true, too. Like girls, you don't need to know everyone's business all the time. It gets a little much. How do you hold all the facts together?
It's white hair. Why do you care? Why do you care? Where about yourself?
“Women do have like, I think it's just something that will never make sense to the opposite gender of like,”
I can have friends that like, we just never get on a deep level and they're my best friends and I die for them.
And then women can have friends that they get on a deep level and they hate.
Then sometimes they'll be like, I think they get jealous because they want to...
They get upset that we don't know all the details about all the drama with our friends.
That's where they want to get involved and just know about the drama. That's like a new channel that they can watch. It's like, oh, I haven't seen this show with the boys drama. That's where my fat gathering comes into play. Yeah.
A little, a little one sheet of facts and I come back and I'll tell you what, the hardest part about going out to like dinner with my friends is the drive home trying to hold all the facts in my head until I get home and I can spit them all out. Yeah, because I forget I'm almost instantly after that. They want to know about the about the boys drama. Yeah, they can talk about the boys drama. Yeah.
I just like, I'm sitting there like repeating it making, making demonic devices for like where my friend works and what age is kid is. Hey, come on. I just blurred it all out. My God. All right. We're done. Good. No follow-ups. No follow-ups questions, please. Okay. Get show boys.
Anything else? Anything else? Nothing else?
How about that hat means where?
He also just put on some more clothes.
“What are you putting on more clothes means? What kind of clothes?”
Fashion show. Just a sweatshirt. It's a Seattle. Wow. That's a course.
Yeah. Very cool, sir. Oh, yes. Where are you getting this stuff? Oh, we sell them in the barcel store. Oh.
It means love sweatshirts. It means it's a good Africa as known buys that shit so they just ship them to him. It means it's Africa. Not racist. It means it's Africa.
That would be. Yeah. No, you're wrong.
You have to be new England.
That would be new England Patriot to rule. No, but no one buys Seattle stuff. No, but Matt is right. Bad sports town with shitty fans. Oh.
We didn't get any time out of the 12s. Yeah. The hoes? The 12s. You know the 12s.
It's how many of those shirts we sold. [laughter] Oh. That's good, Hank. Your funny guy, Hank.
Your funny guy. What do you mean by it? I mean, he's got donny. Exactly.
“I feel like today's name is like winning Africa.”
So what's going to get it today? Championship of Africa. 23. I'm going to go with 50. 12.
56. 48. 89. 86. Pota.
Oh no. Another Pota. Without cold strange. Great player. 72.
72. Yeah, 72. 72. 23. We got to get, we got to get some of the breaks.
“As long as that means, means we're going to see what we've proved.”
[applause] 72. 72. Anyone? So we had eight?
You had eight? Zack? I did. That ain't another day. So close.
Can't see it. Love you guys. So happy birthday to Greg Olson. Happy birthday, Greg. For under the program.
Happy birthday, Greg. I hope it's actually your birthday in March 11th. And I didn't just get food myself. But I think it is really good. [music playing]
