Now, it's Red Eye Radio, Gary McNamara, and Eric Hurley talk about everything...

politics to social issues and news of the day, whether you're up late or you're just

β€œstarting your day, welcome to the show, from the Relief Factor Studios.”

This is Red Eye Radio. All across America, we're Red Eye Radio. He is Eric Hurley, and I'm Gary McNamara. All right, a bunch of stories we got to get in. It's the Friday show, the District Attorney in Virginia, George Sorrows, backed, where Thursday's mass shooting at old dominion to place

doubled down on his viral comments, saying community members looking to place blame on the

shooting should direct towards pro gun lawmakers and judges. He was pressed by Fox News

β€œdigital to elaborate on his comments during a press conference earlier, prompting him to”

stand by his comments. I absolutely stand by what I said. It is the truth, no matter how much the gun lobby wants to deny it, he said when asked if he stood by his comments, despite Tuesday's mass shooting in Virginia, having a public record of supporting Islamic terrorism.

So it's not the motive. No, it's he object, by the way, this has not worked since really

when you think about it was to me, when I became a radio talk show host, it was really in 89. That's when you really saw the movement for gun control in the United States. It hasn't worked. America's going in the opposite direction. America understands the criminals are going to use guns, but Americans also understand by the number of states at now of constitutional carry by the number of liberals that when Trump has been elected, run to get a gun by more minorities,

you know, you know, a bind guns and learning how to use guns. Sorry, you're not going to win that argument. You lost. You've lost that argument. Yep. Look, and you're not going to win that argument by ignoring Islamic radicalism. Yeah. You're if someone is motivated to kill, they'll find a way to kill the 19 high jackers didn't use guns. Timothy McVay did not use guns using cars, running over people using cars filled with explosives. Whatever means necessary if they don't

have a gun, they're intent on killing. And it's ridiculous that we still have to do this as you point out Gary, the states more and more states have constitutional carry because the people believe in that. They're right to protect themselves, they're property, they're family.

β€œAnd you have to look at the motor, but the liberal activist media does not want to look at the”

motor of somebody who's inspired by ISIS. Somebody Gary, it's, you know, it was just a warm day in New York City. Oh, they didn't, they didn't need to use guns. They had a bomb. You know, they, again, it's, it's the media going out of it. Look at how many times they use excuses. Don't look at the motivation. We can't possibly have you look at the motivation of people who are inspired by radicalism. Right. We can't have that because it destroys the liberal agenda.

And we, we're going to take another run at gun control, not going to work. It simply is not going to work. You know, you look at the, the brave students in that ROTC class at Old Dominion, a charged ad for the shooter and one of them took his life took the shooter's life.

Had a knife on him and use the knife to kill him according to reports.

after him, I mean, that's, that's incredibly brave. And in, in that moment, I've never been in that

situation. I cannot even imagine how terrifying it is, but they ran toward the danger and they eliminated

β€œthe threat, which is amazing. But you have to look at what the motivation is of this individual.”

This is terrorism. And we have to step back and take a look because one of the things you have a situation up in, you know, in a number of situations. And it happens. It's domestic terrorism inspired by global terrorists like ISIS, Al Qaeda. And you see, again, all this play out, I don't know what you do. I have no idea what you do when someone is a citizen. They come here. They're naturalized. And then all of a sudden, they're on board with the enemy and the enemy's

mission. And they become the enemy. I don't know what you do, but certainly there has to be a conversation about it in the left and the left activist media doesn't want that conversation to happen. They don't want you talking about that. This must be about the inanimate object that was used tired of part of the noise. America's more divided than ever, but independent Americans is adding the light to contrast all that she independent Americans daily news with army

veteran Paul Reichoff. Pressing issues of the day, the leaders who are shaping what America will be in the future. We're going to bring the righteous media five lives, independence, integrity, information, inspiration, and impact. Join the movement. Independent Americans, from belief, follow and listen on your favorite platform. You're not going, if anything has been proven,

because the publicity about gun control has never been greater than it's been in the last 35

years in this country. On across the board was it Minnesota with the, you saw the, is it Minnesota with the AR 15s where they, you know, where they say, okay, you can own an AR 15. This is going to

β€œgo to the Supreme Court, but you have to allow authorities to come in and it's back to make sure”

you're keeping it safe in your house. Right. That's not going to be nice. No, that's not going to flow. You know, here's just very quickly just getting off the subject for a couple of seconds, because there's been a lot of discussion on that, the law and the different gun control laws.

And I've always looked at this, you and I always go back and it's funny that we don't hear any

legal people ever bringing this up. And you and I have been talking about it since the gay marriage ruling that gay marriage doesn't appear anywhere in the Constitution. Marriage doesn't appear anywhere in the Constitution. Right. There is no right. There is a right to freedom of association. There is no right for government licensing of any marriage. Right. There is not a right doesn't matter whether it's heterosexual or not. There is no right. It's a licensing process.

Now, people want to assemble and be together to me that is a right. And so when the Supreme

β€œCourt came out and said, it's a right to license. If you're going to license one, you have to”

license another. And we talked about how that changed the 14th amendment to equal protection under the law to equal treatment under the law, then my question would be to John Roberts. But it would be why aren't gun control laws universal across the United States? If it's a right, why isn't the right standard across the United States? Right.

And, but the, I think it's a Minnesota law with the AR-15s. You can have one, but if you have when you have to allow the government to come in to make sure you're storing the property of the pass inspection of your home. Right. Sorry that, but my point is you've lost it. Whether you think it's right or not, there has never been a time in American history in my

Opinion where the pro gun control have had as much publicity and momentum as ...

last 35 years. And what has it created? One of the results of it, more constitutional carry states than ever before. Yep. So you're not winning it. So the argument itself by ignoring the Islamic radical element of it, even if it was, you know, something else, the person was crazier, whatever. But you know that they know that the public understands the Islamic radical narrative, they also, the public is not stupid. They look at a ton of these

high profile mass murders and say what's going on with the radical transgender movement. Right. Right. You may as a public official think in your bubble that you're moving your agenda forward, you're not. You're just because you failed already and if you failed already with just crazy these are young people getting weapons illegally, whatever, because they would have to legal to to get it. You've already lost that. More people want guns in ever before and more liberals want guns.

Yeah. The most beautiful thing is them trumps first term.

β€œWhen liberals remember how the gun sales went up and it's like, well, we need to protect ourselves”

from an oppressive government. Oh, you mean the ideology that you've rejected for the last government decades. Like, welcome to the second amendment. It's like it was, it was beautiful. It was beautiful to watch that. Yeah. But we know that in a society of where people have freedom and in a society where people will have freedom, you and I talked about this yesterday, you're a nice, not yesterday, but a couple of weeks ago where they're on our own gun ownership.

I like how you said, you know, because I agree with it, when I want to be, I've always

wanted to be as comfortable as possible shooting a gun. You know, where I've had that much practice, where I know that when it comes to that point, I will do it. But I will never and you said, if you vote CD, when it comes to handling a gun and being careful with the gun and making sure that no one has access to my gun except me, I have OCD on that because I don't want to mistake to be made. Other people don't, but in a free society, you and I look at the responsibility,

other people do not, they should be punished severely if that gun is used in a wrong way. Yeah. I want to be fluent, but mindful and in every part of the process. Yeah. And, and

β€œfor me, requires that. I think I inherited that. For my dad, he was a career,”

military law enforcement, official and military intel. And, of course, you've got protocol and that setting. I remember them walking me through the protocol. And I was a kid hanging around the police station on, on lawful and air force space and saying, all right, this is where we come in and, you know, and it's for me, just part of who I am. Because the one thing that sticks out is at the end of it, there's no way to undo a fatal mistake. Right. But when you look at history,

because they want to ignore the motivation and simply say, it's the object. Yeah. My father, when he went to high school, they had a shooting club. Students kept their rifles in their unlocked lockers. Yeah. And Texas, we had them in the windows of pickup trucks.

There was a nobody thought of thing about it. We, my father always locked his pistols. We weren't stupid.

β€œWe figured out where the key was. We never took the key and went into it. Right. We know that was off limits.”

You had a healthy respect for it. Absolutely. And, and taught by my father. Right. It's used the one that first put a hand gun in my hand. And, and, and so you look at it. You say, you can, you cannot convince the public. It's the object and ignore the motivation behind it.

Right.

funny how they weren't saying this when the shootings against ice officials were happening,

β€œAlvarado, Texas, Dallas, South Texas. They weren't talking gun control then.”

And, we look at it as again, motive. What's in the mind of the individual? If they're intent on killing people, multiple people, guns are not, they'll find a way to do it. And, we've seen that in recent history. We know that for sure. We are Red Eye Radio, brought to you by FPPF Fuel Power Max. Fortunately, we live in a society where we still believe our Constitutional rights are

β€œbased on the fact that we trust the people. That's what it comes down to. We trust the people.”

It's going on in Great Britain. They're trying to tackle the knife crime. They're trying to have the knife crime in the next 10 years, and they talk about the knives that have been removed from the street, the new knife surrender schemes and police operations. You and I remember Great Britain going back, it has to be about 10 years gone because it was on social media, and it was like this police department was talking about how they got all these dangerous weapons

off the street and it looked like a toolbox. It was like a flathead screwdriver, a hammer, which is like what in the world, but we live in a society where on speech, we trust the people. We know that some people will go too far and free speech, but that's surprised that you pay. Look at where Canada is going and Great Britain has gone. With the, in Great Britain, thousands of people that have been charged with speech violations, we're not going to live in that

society. We're not going to be in a society. If the last 30 years have proven something, the gun control people have lost. Why? Because responsible people do not want to lose their individual security that they can provide for themselves because other people do wrong. Right. Yep. It's our instinct for survival and even for those who don't practice their

second amendment rights, there is a great number overwhelming majority of people who believe in those

second amendment rights. And the first amendment rights, they mean something to us and we're seeing what happens in countries like Great Britain. Yep. I don't want to be Great Britain. Nope. I don't want to be Canada. No. No. I don't want to be these countries that say we don't trust our own citizens. I don't want to live in a country where they say the responsible people you lose rights because of the people that aren't responsible and the people that are evil.

The evil people should not control the good people.

he is our Crony and I'm Gary McNamara. Welcome and good morning. Thanks for being here

β€œdownload our Red Eye Radio app today and you can listen, when and where you choose. Well,”

thank goodness. It looks like at least some house conservatives whoever's left has a problem with the Senate Housing Bill. Oh my god. We live in a nation of idiots. We really do. We live in a nation of complete idiots. It's the Man includes Republicans here. Yep. It's especially Maddening. I expect this from Elizabeth Warren which by the way is all the more reason that no conservative should ever be on board with a bill that has Elizabeth Warren's name on it.

endorsement. I can't I don't see at all or agree at all with Tim Scott's position on this.

The president's position. You know because what they're going after BlackRock is one of these

β€œmajor investment Wall Street investment firms that buys in part. They buy single family homes.”

They own roughly 2% of the inventory. They have sold more than they bought. They flip these properties. They turn these properties around. The complaint is the president made a point of this at the state of the union that these big corporations and Wall Street investment firms do this and and really he's talking about BlackRock is there they own the most of any investment firm. But they only own about 2% of the inventory. 2% is a large amount for anybody to own but they don't

own 60% of the inventory. But the idea is well we we went to go bid on a house in this town but the big Wall Street firm came in and bid higher. So let's extrapolate that out.

β€œSo let's so you create a law and you get away with creating a law here which I'm with you.”

I'm I'm grateful the house is barking at this or enough people in the house are barking at this. Because if this were to become law, big corporations can't buy single family homes. The next move out of the Elizabeth Warren Playbook is if you have a certain income. If you have a higher income, it's unfair for you to bid on that house against that and all do use Tim Scott's example of his mother a single mom. She didn't become he said she was

in her late 30s before she owned a home and he used that as the example for you know being a big part of this and I completely disagree your mom clearly did a great job but on this issue I'll say Tim Scott is wrong because if you're going to follow that logic then someone who is wealthier than someone else shouldn't be able to bid on the same home. So someone a couple that makes 750,000 a year but the single mom is only making 150,000 a year and of course the

couple is going to have the upper hand in bidding on a home when the home goes up for sale. That's the next move and it doesn't matter if you again agree or not on the on black rock. I don't

have any concern one way or the other for black rock but here's the problem is where this

takes us more government control over who can purchase or not talking about foreign entities. You know if we want to limit how much land China can buy I'm all ears but if we're talking about investment firms well then the next move is because what are you saying well they have the means to come in and win the bid will so do people with more money and two words negates everything on this and those two words are Elizabeth and Warren. Well the other thing is you know when you

look at it Wall Street Journal editorial page which is different than the news division or more conservative large investment firms mopped up four closed homes after the 2008 housing crash which was caused by what that was caused by government intervention but large investment firms mopped up the four closed homes after the 2008 housing crash placed in a floor on prices they account for less than 1% of single-family housing stock and the number of rental homes is declined

on net by 900,000 since 2017 they managed fewer homes in the pricey markets like LA 0.3% of 1%

Boston 0.

ban pulls well which it does if you throw corporation suck people go yeah and likes to say people

β€œlive in homes not corporations but who does he think lives in rental homes had they got exactly”

hedge fund managers most tenants are lower income the Senate bill could force many of them yep out of their homes and then you get into all the other because it's 40 bills combined into one there's more besides that there's more loans and grants for homes the problem there's more government money the building department building see the the the problem with the housing market if you look at the major problem of the housing market it's government's dam involvement in it

yep get rid of any in front and over and over again the president talks about deregulation deregulation

and on housing let's have a ton more regulation on housing right we saw what happened in 2008 government caused it subsidizing the housing market did it yeah keeping interest rates

β€œway lower than the market cost would actually be was a huge problem in the housing market yep”

and yet everyone thinks Republicans get in power we think we can manipulate the mortgage market correctly democrats no we can regulate it directly and then they go it's the corporations fault when none of this would be happening we wouldn't have had all the problems we've had if it wasn't for government attempting to manipulate the mortgage market and Republicans this is why we're doomed because Republicans have gone along with it the president comes on says yeah these damn corporations

we all go corporation suck let the government control more of it but we're a bunch of damn idiots we get what we deserve what what was the final vote in the Senate 89 10 what was it was 89 one for the procedural vote I don't know what it was for the final vote they it it it's insane it's absolutely insane insane because what's next with apartments who owns a ton of the multi-family homes the apartment buildings corporate major operations and what's the left-on right now

will nobody should own my home right this is my home nobody should own my home because if you're making the case that investment firms or corporations shouldn't buy or own single-family homes

β€œwhether for rentals or for flips or for any reason then you have to make the case”

that major firms should not control the rental market which of course they do apartment buildings what would that mean next because in part what this does is it gives money for more government housing and then this part of it this for the beautiful one I love the American Enterprise Institute warned that federal agencies and government sponsored enterprises might see to prevent these evictions from happening by easing underwriting standards

to enable tenants to buy homes that enforce investors are forced here so here we go again

here we go again we never learn a damn thing yeah this would increase the risk and cost for taxpayers

who backstop mortgages yes now the bill implicitly acknowledges the potential for collateral damage by givering the treasury secretary cart launch authority to issue rules to minimize market disruptions and mitigate to the extent possible negative impacts on consumers and communities which means the bills gonna screw up a lot so the treasury secretary's got to figure out how this government bills screwed up so they can correct what the government screwed up and it's up

to the interpretation of whatever whoever that treasury secretary is and that's the other problem too yeah treasury could also redefine large institutional investor yeah single family home right uh they could they could change a definition of anything that they want it goes in other words treasury would have the power to rewrite the provision I thought Republicans wanted to pair back the administrative state we're told the Trump team demanded this discretion because they

realize that Ms Warren drafted language would cause problems in the housing market well and that's when you're an office imagine how democratic administration will exploit the sweeping power how about a nationwide eviction moratorium or rent control that you give them approval to do in this bill you may want Scott bestn't to have that discretion you don't want the next

Democrat treasury secretary to have that discretion just I mean it's just we ...

in a mind of a political idiots mind boggling and in in this case it's democrats and republicans

β€œand the president and if they lose in November the GOP they've earned it yep they worked hard for”

it just amazing because it's what you're talking about 2008 with this country one through

to go back on the same path and for republicans we know democrats don't give a damn they just want power right republicans are supposed to stand for something which is free markets we know what government regulation did we know what it did to this economy yes what it did in 2008 to it crashed the damn economy and republicans are like let's go back and do it again it was the September 30th 1999 the New York Times warned about it yeah the New York Times warned

by the way that was a heritage foundation that was that wrote that that was a New York Times heritage

β€œfoundation said this is going to cause a disaster right you know and it's exactly what happened”

yep and and and now what does it do it's opening the door to burning down property rights yeah

because if you can control who owns what property and then leave it to the discretion of any administration they could come in and say nobody owns any property exactly where the left has been going for a number of years especially recently what about all of the older generation that are holding on to their properties right now they don't want to move and so you've got this inventory stagnation because they don't want to move and and the left is complaining

and many in real center complaining older people just aren't moving like they used to they used to you know buy a newer home or buy a or up size or down size or whatever it might be they used to move on and now they're not doing that well my gosh you could see this well that's

β€œa problem we've got to fix that problem to 89 to 10 yeah that's what I thought wow”

so the majority republicans what I saw that for more than the majority republicans in the

Senate voted for more control of the housing market that's that's never been seen that's insane

that's insane the majority of republicans teamed up with Elizabeth Warren yep what in the hell is going on and then to to sit there and stop what Elizabeth Warren might do well we get to control in our administration our treasury secretary can do whatever they want will soak in the treasury secretary under a democrat yes why the hell would you give them why would why the heck would you do that because we need to pretend

that we're making things affordable for the american public hey here's a scenario Gavin Newsom wins in 28 decides Elizabeth Warren will make a great treasury secretary cheese we are red eye radio we'll be right back with more red eye radio with every currently and dairy maxtymera we are right I ready on he's are currently and I'm hearing maxtymera I love I went to newsweek and newsweek

their their headline is the 10 senators that voted against affordability and housing because if it says affordability in the bill yes it must be accurate we know that from the affordable carac one democratic senator voted against it Brian chants of white I'd like to find out why right probably because it wasn't living up it didn't go far enough but uh Ted but uh but of North Carolina Ted Cruz voted against it yeah ran it Paul of course voted

against it yeah Ron Johnson voted against it Mike Lee voted against it Rick Scott voted against it Tom Tillis voted against it top revolt voted against it and Todd Young of Indiana yeah I don't get it at all and it's a painting that kind of power to the government because it's the desperation that Republicans feel right now that they've got to pass anything that has affordability in it to pretend that they're doing something to help the american public right

Of course the democrats want as much government control yeah and as much

socialism as socialism as much control of the capital as they can possibly get right

β€œand the republicans actually thought of him to probably don't believe in it and think it's a great”

idea but hey we can vote against something that says affordability right now with the midterms ahead

you got pretend yeah it's about affordability that's just flat out laying down for the left

β€œ, but what I want to do is not to get the most of the studio's master”

by tag leapt or bΓΌcher soft behind the internet so master's really great, you can say you can

I can say that you're a cool guy you're a steuer but you don't have to do it, you're a super worth of loss for a track, make the whole thing like this, and when you then work,

β€œyou're gonna get the shit out of the way, what do you mean?”
