I hope you had a great weekend. Gangs all here ready to go. A lot of puzzling moments last week. We move on. Every day's the Super Bowl.
Right, Mark? Unless you're the bill. Yes.
“But if you get to the Super Bowl, you want to win, right?”
That's what we established last week. I had time to mull over this. Oh, you did. Do you want to clarify this? Yes.
I would rather get to the Super Bowl than losing the second round.
Unless you are this iteration of the Buffalo bills. You said they have to just get there. They're not in a position to just get there. Just like the Lions and the Ravens. And you're the Charger?
No. The Buffalo bills need to take the next step. That might not mean winning a Super Bowl, but they have to move past. You know, at least the AFC title game. They're all in.
You got some other teams. And I said this last week. I'm surprised more teams don't follow the L.A. Rams blueprint. Win. Be all in.
Now, we saw the Ravens. They're all in. They just traded for Max Crosby. You've seen it buffalo. Got their wide receiver.
“So you start to see some of these teams realize this window.”
Like the Bengals window, did it close already? I mean, it wasn't open very long. And that's what you have to realize. Detroit did their window close. San Francisco did their window close.
It's quick. But we'll talk about the Max Crosby trade. Not surprised.
Maybe that they got two first round picks for him.
And good for the Raiders. Hopefully they're able to use those picks to fortify an offensive line for Fernando Mendoza. All right. Good morning. If you're watching on peacock.
That's our streaming partner. It's a Monday. So best and worst of the weekend. What you saw that you liked. He didn't like.
Operator Tyler sitting by him. He'll take your phone calls. Play the day poll question. Stad of the day, which is brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the program.
All of that forthcoming. First hour brought to you by Tyrak. They've been helping you find the right tires for how and what and where you drive. They ship them fast and free back by free road hazard protection. Convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.

NCAA Bids. Queens College. Which is in Charlotte, North Carolina. Raise your hand if you knew about the Queen's Royals in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm right there with you.
I'm like Queens College in Queens, New York.
It's in Charlotte, North Carolina.
High point in North Carolina, got in. Northern Iowa. LIU. Tennessee State. Yes, we're punching tickets to the big dances they like to say.
Yes, Paul. I had no idea about this school. Queen's University Dan in Charlotte and they're the Royals. The Royals, the fighting Royals. Yeah.
How about that? So it's not Queens College. It's Queens University. Right. I thought Queens College is in Queens the Burrow of New York.
This is Queen's University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Yes, Todd. And LIU, the primary campus have a long island university. How does it to be in Brooklyn? There.
Secondary campus is someone that's actually out of line. So help me out with that.
“Wasn't it years ago that Charlie Sheen picked LIU to win it all?”
Aren't they? Are they the black birds of Long Island University? Todd. Hey, are the LIU Brooklyn black birds? Okay.
That is right. I had a check for a second. I don't want to give you a wrong information. No, your mascot's here. All right.
So we'll get to your phone calls. Yes, Marvin. I just would just told by the back. I was just told by the back. They're the sharks.
Wait. The LIU sharks now? Yes, I believe so. Okay. I thought two years ago they just changed it.
Oh, okay. So they didn't want to be called the black birds. Now they're the sharks. Wow. Long Island sharks.
Okay. Football, Max Cronzby, figured that you had to trade him. You aren't going to win now.
“I think the fallout from not letting him play those last two games.”
Last season wasn't going to leave Max Crosby. And they had to move on from him and vice versa. They get two first round picks. The Ravens aren't normally in the top 15. And you've got to go back to the Ronnie Stanley.
Drive pick. I think that was 2016 when they had a pick in the first 15. Well, they traded it. And you get Max Crosby and Max Crosby certainly sounds like he's a happy guy. I'm so excited.
I love all of y'all. All my supporters. Everyone tuning in football is my world man. It's my passion. Since I was a child, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life.
And that's to be the best football player in the world. And help help win a Super Bowl with whatever organization I'm with. So that never changes. It's right or nation for life. Right now it's flot nation.
And I'm all in. I'm going to give you all everything I have in my heart and soul man.
And it's going to be an incredible journey.
And we got work to do, man. But I love you guys. I appreciate you. Every single fan. Everyone tuning in.
The love. You know, the hate. The love. All that is welcome. And it's understandable.
But it's time for this next chapter. And so Max Crosby goes to the Ravens.
“The Ravens are the favorites to in the AFC.”
Prior to getting Max Crosby. They were at plus 500 now. They're plus 450 followed by the bills. The chiefs and the chargers. In the NFC, the Rams.
They're the favorites followed by the sea hawks, the Eagles. And the Packers. And you start to look at players who have been traded for two first round picks. Now, this is recently. Some Max Crosby to be determined how this plays out.
Sauce Gardner. He was traded for two first round picks. Mr. playoffs. Micah Parsons with Green Bay. Russell Wilson.
That didn't end well. Matthew Stafford won a Super Bowl. Jamal Adams. That didn't end well. Jalen Ramsey won a Super Bowl.
Khalil Mack played well.
But the team never really improved.
And Laramie Tunsell. Limited playoff success for the Texans. Those are the players. Recent players who have been traded for multiple first round picks. Also, you start to think about this.
The sea hawks spent the fourth most money in free agency last year. And they won the Super Bowl. The Patriot spent the most in free agency. They went to the Super Bowl. The Bears spent the ninth most in free agency.
They went from 5 and 12 to 11 and 6. I would tell any of these teams, any of these general managers that would listen. You have the opportunity. And we said this. We say this all the time.
Oh, they'll be back next year. There is no guarantee. We know that. There. How good your quarterback is or your roster.
You know, Joe Burrow. He's a great quarterback. They got two great receivers. But they don't have a great team.
They may never get back to a Super Bowl in the Joe Burrow era.
If I'm New England. If I'm Buffalo. I'm the Ravens. I'm the Rams. I'm all in.
What's it going to take? Because I want something that I know is proof of, you know, concept there. I want somebody else to sample size.
I can go.
I'm going to take that defensive back from the chiefs.
And we're going to be ready to roll. That's what you want. You know, the Ravens traded for somebody. They know is already great. Buffalo picked up DJ Moore.
They already know his track record. You got an opportunity. You know, Seattle. I wouldn't do this. Well, we want a Super Bowl.
I go right back in. Now, you might be losing your running back. You're going to lose a couple of players. But you got to four to five that team. You got the opportunity.
Go all in. Yes.
“Do you think that this is in an anomaly or more of a trend that sort of teams moving in the direction of valuing a proven commodity over the potential of the draft?”
Well, I think teams. GM's love potential. It's like all that guy. Right. But I like to know that that guy that I'm looking at.
He's already been in all pro. Pro Bowl player. He's proven that he can play. Not the. Oh, the potential.
The guys get fired for potential. It's rare when you get fired when you get somebody who's like Max Crosby is really good. Now, there might be a defensive lineman in the draft. And you go, boy, the piece got the potential.
They always have the potential to be somebody that's already playing in the NFL, normally.
Like he could be the next Miles Garrett. He could be the next. We'll go out and get that guy. And that's what the Ravens did. Getting Max Crosby.
You know, the cowboys were in on this, too. I'm not sure what their final offer was. But I think it first. It was a couple of first round picks and a player turns out it's a couple of players. You know, like AJ Brown, the Patriots reportedly offered.
I think of first in a second. And they wanted to player as well. And I thought AJ Brown would probably be dealt before Max Crosby would be. But there's always today. Well, or the rest of this week with free agency, the dolphins just denounce that they will
release to a tongue of ILOA.
“And I think he can sit and watch football just like us this season and make almost $50 million.”
And he doesn't even have to get off his couch. Yes, Paul. Yeah, I'm looking at the contract for Tua.
And I think if he does not play football whatsoever this year, he would make 56 million.
$300,000. Okay, I don't see any way around it for the dolphins. Okay. Yeah, I agree. Good for him.
Feels like there's going to be a landing spot. It's probably going to be once Kyler goes and then you'll have maybe dominoes here. You know, there's a chance Gino Smith ends up back with the jets. Has any suffered enough? Dolphins?
I would just say, we got quinuers. We'll get another quarter back and let's ride this year out. Let's just write this season off as a loss. And maybe you get a quarter back in the draft next year. All right.
8773DP show email address dpadampatric.com. Twitter handle at dp show. We say good morning to our radio affiliates. I heart radio, Fox Sports Radio. I was watching the spurs yesterday.
And I've said this. I said this early in the season.
“Hey, maybe they're a year ahead of schedule.”
Now the more I keep watching, they're kind of like the Patriots. Where you go? Yeah, Patriots. They're a year ahead of schedule. We kept saying that for most of the regular season.
And then what happened? The Patriots go to the Super Bowl. Maybe the spurs aren't a year ahead of schedule. Maybe they're right on schedule. And let you saw yesterday.
It's just rare to see somebody who is that tall. Be that athletic handle. Touch shooting form is great. Both ends of the floor. And they put up a number on the Houston rockets in San Antonio.
I don't think they're year ahead of schedule. It feels like they're right on schedule. And the Celtics with Jason Tatum easing him back into the lineup. Maybe not exactly easing. They put him in, and you know, playing 27 minutes.
And look good over the weekend. Look good against the maps. I think the Celtics are the team to be. Watching the Lakers yesterday with the next. And it wasn't great basketball.
But, you know, you're watching two heavy weights of swords. Kind of slug it out a little bit there. And Luca takes some wild shots, man. He makes some wild shots, too. Between him and the mellow ball.
I mean, those guys take wild shots wild. And it's pretty, I mean, these are deep, deep shots. Falling out of bounds, you know, three. Yes, Marvin. Those guys take horse shot.
You're supposed to shoot that in horse. Oh, I thought I heard something else. I thought you would. Horses. Horses shot.
Horses.
Oh, like the game horse. Yes.
“The shot you would take in the game horse.”
Right. Okay.
It he makes him sometimes.
Like, oh, what a shot. And then when he misses it, oh, what a stupid shot. Why would you keep doing that? But when you see Wemby break you down on in transition or fast break. He beats you off the dribble.
And you're going, oh, my goodness. And that form for anybody. Beautiful shooting form. And he's 22 years of age. The apple.
I would love to know the defensive scouter report on Wembyneama. Like, what do you want him to do? Because it doesn't appear as a weakness or like a regular move that he only goes to. I can't imagine what the scouter report is. Well, if you go back to his rookie season and I said, you're doing an injure.
This is like not getting a good offensive line for a quarterback. They didn't have a point guard who would put him in position to succeed. Now he knows he's got spots. All these great players. Any great score has a spot or spots.
Don't let him get you there. If he gets you there, he's going to dominate. You know, Jordan would get you on the low block and then, you know, lights out. Certain guys, if I get you there on the wing, I'm going to beat you off the dribble. And you see that now with Wemby.
“And I think Stefan Castle and Darren Fox have done a wonderful job.”
Looking for him or waiting for him to get to a spot. Because he kind of floated in the paint.
And then he never really was comfortable there.
And he'd get it and he seemed a little flum-ext. Man, he got a basketball IQ. Yes, Mark. And then we see the spurs play. They have great spacing.
They shot 50% from three point range yesterday. Those guys were wide open because they know where to go when Wemby gets the ball in his spot. Like you said. And Dylan Harper's contributing as well. But I mean, he should be, if you're the second pick in the draft.
But, you know, they got some depth there. And, but you got to watch him because they have some players that you're probably not that familiar with. But Wemby can't take my eyes off of him. Yeah, Pauli. He's even a good free throw shooter.
He shoots 83% from the free throw line. You think there'd be a weakness where, oh, he'll hack the guy. And he shoots 72%. He doesn't have that. I know.
You have beautiful form. Yes, Mark.
“Is there any way he can win the MVP this year?”
Or is it just too far gone with Joker? Well, if these other players don't qualify, I don't think Joker is winning it. I still think he's the best player in the game. But if you're looking for value of what Wemby is done, I mean, I got to look at Jalen Brown too.
I mean, let's be honest. I thought this was a lost year for the Celtics in Jalen Brown. You know, has them in the number two seed. They don't even pay them back. But if you have it by default, and that's not really fair to these players,
but it might be by default that, you know, these guys don't qualify, then Wemby might be able to do it. You know, you got 20 games. What's up to Reggie Miller about that? You'll join us in a little bit.
All right, phone calls. Best in worst of the weekend. And we'll settle on a poll question as well. Just getting started on this Monday. Dan and the Danets Dan Patrick show.

Watch live next Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern 5 p.m. Pacific Free. It feeps.com or the feeps app. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the on purpose podcast.
My latest episode is with Hillary Duff.
Singer, actress and multi-platenermartist.
“Hillary opens up about complicated family dynamics,”
motherhood and releasing our first record in over 10 years.
We talk about what it's taken to grow up in the entertainment industry and stay grounded through every chapter. It's a raw and honest conversation about identity, evolution, and building a life that truly matters. You desire in family like this picture
and that's not reality a lot of the time it's for people. My sister and I don't speak. It's definitely a very painful part of my life. And I hope it's not forever, but it's for right now. Listen to on purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHard Radio app, Apple podcast,
or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK, evoking horror and disbelief. A nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history.
Everyone thought they knew how it ended.
“A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Letby.”
Lucy Letby has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the full story? The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast doubt, the case of Lucy Letby, we follow the evidence
and hear from the people that lived it. To ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Letby was. No voicing of any skepticism are doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level
of the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to doubt, the case of Lucy Letby, on the iHard Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Nancy Glass, host of the burden of guilt season 2 podcast.
This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpride became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun. Tells me to lie down on the ground.
“He identified Termine Hudson as the perpetrator.”
Termine was sentenced to 99 years. I'm like, "Lower, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity." The best lie is partial truth. For 22 years only two people knew the truth.
Until a confession changed everything. I was a monster. Listen to burden of guilt season 2 on the iHard Radio app, Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. We will get to your phone calls.
Best in worst of the weekend 8773DP show. Come up with a poll question as well.
Chiefs, Browns, Raiders, Jets, Cowboys, all with two first round picks.
We'll be there in Pittsburgh for the draft. And with the Raiders on the clock with that first pick. And whatever they're able to do with all the money, they got more money than anybody else in free agency this year. This is where you build that foundation.
And could prove provide some dividends here. You get Lyme in here. Brady probably more involved in this. But if you're able to get some of those guys up front, which is where you win superables.
You know, the difference between Seattle and New England was up front. Seattle won that. They were better up front than the Patriots were. All right.
So, see what's poll question here for the first time over the program.
Well, we got one here from Paul. Dude, more questionable signing. Cardinals and Kyler or Dolphins and Tua. I would say, I mean, Kyler had some like three or four really respectable, if not good seasons.
Tua and the Dolphins teased us a couple years ago. Because we thought, man, with that offense, defense was decent. You got fast guys. You got to play calling coach. You're ready to go. Tua is going to stay healthy. And then all of a sudden, it went south and a hurry.
And if I'm the Dolphins, I just basically write this off as we're going to be. We're going to be in the lottery for the number one pick in the draft. Don't spend any money on a quarterback. And if you do, you bring in somebody who is reasonable. Well, they might go out and get Malik Willis.
But I would not do that as much as I like Malik Willis. If I'm the Dolphins, you need help. And maybe you look at next year. You want to get that quarterback on that five-year contract. Maybe you get your starter.
I have Quinn viewers in there.
I bring in somebody as the backup.
And then maybe you get, you know, maybe you find out a couple of things.
Maybe that's important. Yeah, Paul. Just signing a couple of years ago is kind of interesting.
“Because remember in 2022, he had the three concussions in that season.”
And he had a nice season. But I could found tons of articles that said, you can't sign to it. You can't extend him. So they didn't extend him after that 2022 season. They let him play his fourth season.
4,500 yards, 70% pass or 30 touchdowns. One of the best quarterbacks in the AFC. And then they had to make the decision. Stick or go. At that point.
And they stuck. Yeah. I understand it. But I said it at the time. I wasn't going to do that.
I would not do that. Kind of hurt. Said the same thing. I would not do that. Just because I didn't trust him.
You know. His was more of effort with two of those more of just the health. But it's hard not to sign him when he puts up those numbers.
But now you got to guy making $50 million.
You're paying $50 million to when he's not going to play more than likely. Yeah. It does seem interesting that teams are more following the Denver Broncos model of how to handle contracts. Post Russell Wilson. You know what?
Let's just eat this for a year or two. It's going to suck.
“But man, are we going to be better off on the on the other side of it?”
It seems to be less, you know, you're not as hamstrung by old money. It's like forget it. Let's just. We're going to pay it anyway. We might as well just move on.
Yeah. And I think what Denver did. But Denver Denver was helped by the trade. Or Seattle was helped by that trade with Russell Wilson. So they were very smart to go.
We're not going to pay this guy. And Denver was like, hey, all we're missing is the franchise quarterback. And then you realize that he's the reason why you're not going to be winning. And you're right, write it off, made a mistake. And I thought the Browns were going to do the same thing with Deshawn Watson.
I talked to somebody yesterday who said they're really encouraged by Deshawn Watson. His progress. I'm like, yeah, I think he was a healthy scratch last year. Put him out there.
You're paying him $45 million.
And you've already taken the PR hit because you brought in this guy. But I wonder if they're going to extend Deshawn Watson's contract. No. Which would be crazy to think about. But they might.
And that one. All right. Yeah, Paul. All right. If you're the head coach, the new head coach Jeff Halfley of the Dolphins.
I wonder what your expectations are for this season on what your team wants you to do this season. Do they want you to win ball games? Yeah. You're right because he's going in and he wants to set the world on fire. It's like, I'm the head coach.
I want to win. And then, hey, this is who you got to win with. And I mean, I wondered you keep jailing water. Is as valuable as he is. Like I probably would trade him as well.
Take it down to the foundation. Down to the studs. You know, just decide to take it to down to the studs. Yes. And is it realistic?
You're going to catch the Patriots and bills anytime soon. At least on the very near future. Forget about the jet. But you got two teams that are dominant teams in the AFC in your division there. Yeah.
Take the year off. You technically have to play the game. You do have to. Yeah, I do have to play the game. Yes.
But let's see. Chris and Syracuse leads us off on this Monday. Good morning, Chris. What's on your mind? Hey, thanks.
Damn. I got a best of worse in a comment. My comment. I don't like the idea of the US government making it executive orders when it comes to college sports or any sports.
I have faith the NCAA and the conferences will work things out. And my worst to LeBron James from Mr. Lakers last two games. He had nagging injuries all year. And the Lakers are nine and two this year when the duo of Luca and Austin Reeves play together and LeBron's out.
He won a Brown at 41 missing games because of sciatica and arthritis toward our friend Buddha. Not good.
“And my best to the NBA Saturday night having who I think is no doubt that face of your league”
for years to come care so much. Get so emotional. Actually, brought to tears over regular season win. Wendy is a unicorn in so many ways. And also when he and his spurs in so many ways are the antithesis of Tim Duncan and his spurs.
The NBA has to love that. And thank you Chris. Yeah, he got emotional. They came back. They were down whatever 25 to the clippers and people like he came back and beat the clippers.
He's 22 years of age. He's playing hard.
He got caught up in.
You know, these are the kind of wins that are more than just one victory. Where, you know, collectively you do something.
“And I think that's probably what he saw.”
I mean, it's his team. He's 22, it's his team. Cooper flag is 19. It's his team. This is mind bending for me.
When you think about these are guys going against grown men. And they've only been in the league.
Well, Cooper flag is first year.
When be a couple of years. And now you're leading a team. I mean, I thought what magic did his rookie year for the Lakers winning a championship coming out of college. But he was more seasoned than these guys.
Yes, Paulie. You said the Miami Dolphins had get it down to the studs. They are trading. Mink of Fitzpatrick, the defensive back to the New York Jets. Exchange for a 2026 7th round draft pick.
7th round. The Jets. This is from Adam Shefter. Well, sign, Mink of Fitzpatrick to a three year 40 million deal. Year deal.
Okay. Wow. President Trump said that he will write an executive order within a week that will solve all the problems brought forth in an unprecedented meeting at the White House. He's looking at the future of college sports.
We're on this coming up top of the hour. But he was hosting the saving college sports round table. I know it sounds like there's a possibility here. But an executive order can't make a law. It can't provide anti-trust exemptions or override state laws or any policies in the executive order can be challenged in court.
So, you know, you bring all these people together. Former coaches, former players. You got people from networks. You got athletic directors.
I mean, here's what, here's what jumped out at me.
First of all, I don't think this is going to do anything.
“Second of all, why don't you have a current coach or coaches and current player or players?”
Those are the voices that I would want to hear from. Not guys who aren't coaching anymore. Nick Sabin. He can be the voice of college football. But I'd like to have a quote.
Put Lane Kiffin in there. Put Trinidad Chamblas in there. Let them talk about what it's like to be a current player. And just because, you know, all of these presidents and chancellors, you know, made the mistake on their watch of allowing this to happen,
I can't go back and put the toothpaste in the tube. Can't do it. You can try. Good luck. It's not going to work.
And nothing's going to work this quickly. But Ross DeLinger, who was covering the event on Friday at the White House, the college football reporter for Yahoo will join us at the top of the hour. Gus and LA. Hi, Gus.
Welcome back. Good morning, Mr. Patrick.
“I hope you're in the voice at a great weekend.”
That's the worst of the weekend, man. You know, I don't think we talked about marathon much on this show, but this morning, we're going to American Nathan Morton,
one of the Los Angeles marathon yesterday by zero point zero, one second.
Close this race. There are closest finesse in the history of the race. The worst of the weekend is Michael Camo losing the Los Angeles marathon. By 0.01 after leading the entire race, you actually made a bit of a blunder.
He followed the camera bike, the motorcycle with the camera on it. He followed it as the bike went out of the course. And he had to go back and return to the course, which allowed American Nathan Morton to close the gap in record time. You boys have a great week.
Thank you, Gus. I didn't see the story. I wasn't aware of it. But imagine you're running over 26 miles, and you lose by less than a second.
Yeah, the guy who won the American Nathan Martin, he was losing by 30, maybe 30 yards, with 200 meters, 30 yards to go, meters, I guess. And it was a literal photo finish at the end. He hit the tape just before him.
Boota in San Francisco. Good morning, Boota. What's on your mind? What a DP happy Monday boys. Shout out to the BRG's, baby.
Dan, you're looking good in the main cave today. And I got a real quick five minute poll question for you guys. Are the jet stand? Are they the Washington Wizards of Football? Best of the weekend then.
Watch it all the way. The World Baseball Classic Action this weekend. It was like really entertaining and fun to watch. I mean, just watching the show here at Tony is just,
He's just doing work for Japan, man.
This should be a great show down.
The team's come down and the final championship works. His way to fruition, must be TV, man. And we're so the weekend then. Watch it the Lakers win this weekend without LeBronic. You know, I guess it's the next.
And it's just like a legit force of a team, right? I mean, just speaks volumes as to where we're at as a Lakers team. I mean, Austin Reeves is really the one bright spot we have. And Luca, I mean, he's just like a pressure on child.
“You need to see if they're fit in LeBron.”
I mean, as Todd's Valley Girl would say, yo, oh, do you just need a tire? Thank you, Buddha. You know, the World Baseball Classic. There's, there's energy showing up.
I was watching Puerto Rico in Panama. And all of a sudden Puerto Rico walks it off.
And, you know, I mean, it was playoff baseball.
I go back to the Four Nations tournament. The intensity rivaled playoff hockey. Olympic basketball. We saw that. You know, we saw that with the Olympics with hockey.
I mean, Terry Scooble, the Saoyung winner with the Tigers, was going to pitch one time for Team USA. I think he got caught up in it. Now he's kind of petitioned the Tigers to, can I get one more start here?
I love it. You know, when players represent cities, they compete for standings. But when you represent your country, it's something completely different.
The stakes are larger. The moments are louder. And suddenly, exhibition baseball feels like the World Series. And it's been fun to watch.
But when you get those crowds,
“the home crowds instead of maybe a sterile crowd”
that, you know, the two countries aren't from that city, you know, then you don't get the ambiance. But man, when you watch Otani, I was watching Korea against Australia. And granted, these aren't the best rosters.
But you, you are seeing the atmosphere of what it means to them. Let's see. Jim and Colorado. Hi, Jim. What's on your mind today?
Hey, I got a question for you. And I know I'm pretty hyped on this for a Monday. I had called up your show five years ago. And I love your show. You guys are great.
I want to say that right off the back. But I had called up there about five years ago and told you that it was a mistake, drafted to a and a lefty quarterback. Now, there it is again,
out $50 million. Nothing to show for it. And that's my example of why I'm giving you guys a call. These GMs. They need to go back and watch draft.
The movie. Because I guarantee you, they're not drafted. The right players that should be for their organization for their system. And look at all these quarterbacks. They're getting paid all this money.
Except Sam Donald. That Minnesota, who is a complete idiot. Organization that gave up him. And then now you want to see out on one of Super Bowl. My point is I'm right.
Who was a bust. He was a bust from the beginning. And I would all this money. And I just want to hear your take on it about some of these players that they draft. To give all this money to especially quarterbacks.
And they don't prove it like my homes.
Who just took $30 million as a cut to try to help his team get other players.
Okay. He shifted money. He didn't take a cut. He shifted money. Two of it wasn't a bust.
He's somewhere in between. Now he's kicking, you know, cans down the road. Making $50 million not doing anything. But he didn't resign himself. And he did put up some, you know, he had a couple of seasons where he, you know, he played pretty well.
The dolphins were all in on Joe Burrow. They were willing to give, I think, four or five first round picks. And it didn't happen. Yes, you know, to a, not a big arm. But, you know, he played it a big university.
He played it a football power. Now, just Alabama tend to inflate their quarterbacks. Yeah, I think we've seen that down through history. But Miami got him. You thought they had something.
You had to a, you had a tyree. Can you had water?
“And that's what you need in today's NFL.”
You know, the concussions. Thankfully, they haven't really come back. But I don't know if anybody's going to pick him up to be a starter. But yeah, he's somewhere in between a bust because he did put up a couple of really good seasons. Yes, Paul.
Yeah, to a, as a starter in six years was 44 and 32.
His average season was 3900 yards, 26 touchdowns.
Those are nice numbers for a career.
“It's just, you have to dive into the different areas of his career in different points.”
All right. We'll take a break. More phone calls coming up. More on the conference at the White House that took place on Friday. Also, the front office moves.
My 10 in bond with the mothership. We'll join us. And more of your phone calls are play of the day is up next. And Pauli says we have more NFL news after the break. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk line up in the nation.

At 8 p.m. Eastern 5 p.m. Pacific free at feeps.com or the feeps app. Hey, I'm Jay Shetty, host of the on purpose podcast. My latest episode is with Hillary Duff. Singer, actress, and multi-plattener artists. Hillary opens up about complicated family dynamics, motherhood,
and releasing our first record in over 10 years.
We talk about what it's taken to grow up in the entertainment industry and stay grounded through every chapter. It's a raw and honest conversation about identity, evolution, and building a life that truly matters. You desire in family like this picture.
And that's not reality. A lot of the time it's for people. My sister and I don't speak.
“It's definitely a very painful part of my life.”
And I hope it's not forever, but it's for right now. Listen to on purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeart Radio app. Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast. In 2023, a story gripped the UK of looking horror and disbelief. The nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies
is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Leppi. Lucy Leppi has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the full story?
The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox. And in the new podcast doubt, the case of Lucy Leppi. We follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it. To ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Leppi was.
No voicing of any skepticism are doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to doubt the case of Lucy Leppi on the iHeart Radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Nancy Glass, host of the burden of guilt season 2 podcast.
This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpride became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun. He tells me to lie down on the ground. He identified to remain Hudson as the perpetrator. To remain was sentenced to 99 years.
And like lower, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth. For 22 years only two people knew the truth. Until a confession changed everything.
I was a monster. Listen to burden of guilt season 2 on the iHeart Radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. The play of the day. The play of the day.
Check this out. Final 6, page really clear, the year's beating. The new chance back club. God! To that's what you don't do.

Chance Gladden scored 24 of his 26th and the second half as the

Dude wipes. Best clean. Pants down more NFL news. This just in. Also from Adam Shefter.
The packers are finalizing a deal to send defensive linemen. Rashan Gary. To the Cowboys. It exchanged for a late. 20, 20, 27, 20, 27.
Traffic. Not 26, 27. Okay. That's nice. Play like.
They like the packer defensive linemen. Can count around of applause from Satan. Okay. All right. Dallas.
Get in there. We're trying for Max Krauseby. But I don't know what the offer was. And Gary's been a nice player. Although, I mean, he's such a big guy.
What's his number eight? Like, doesn't. It's always weird.
I thought it was Gary 52.
What's Kenneth Murray eight? Oh, no, your packers. Yeah. Yeah, Marvin.
“I think Jared verse is a single digit guy.”
I think he was number eight. Yeah. I believe so, yes. I thought Gary wore eight for the packers. I got him a 52.
Eight was I think the linebacker Kenneth Murray or someone like that. Walker. If you play, if you guys played, would you get a normal number, like to your position or would you go completely out of bounds? Could do an hour on this.
Yeah. Sorry. I didn't mean to blow up the whole thing. The whole week of shows really. That's great topping.
Oh, my God. Okay. So what position am I playing? What would you like to be? You'd be defensive end if you want.
Defensive end. Sure. I want to be quarterback. Of course. Okay.
You're going to be the quarterback. Yeah. Okay. You're going to be like 88 as a quarterback. Something weird.
No. Because they have rules of what numbers you can have. I don't think they do anymore. Oh, they don't. No.
Yeah.
“That's kind of the whole point of the question is they don't have those rules anymore.”
So you can be a linebacker on where seven or something. Like Doug Floody was 22 in college. John Hadole was number 21. I was already played in the NFL. He's Schiller.
Was he 20 in college? He's 22. I think so. Was he? And then he was was he five in the NFL?
Yeah. Or was he just a fifth pick in the NFL? Bernie Kosar Miami number 20. Yeah. Yeah.
That was awesome. I think I'd be like number 11. If I'm an edge rusher. Being. I don't know.
Just make sure you look a little fast. Yes. Eleven is a girl. It's sleek. Slimming.
Yeah. Certain numbers. But then we equate that to offensive linemen. Like there's numbers 63. We can't be fast.
But 11. Yes, more. There's it was nothing better when I was a kid. Yeah. Yeah.
Beautiful. Yeah. Yes, Todd. Do you want to be that imposing 75 or 77? Like that's usually for me or 99.
Those are those big guys. 95. Yeah. But that's old school. You're thinking back to mean show green.
I would still want to.
“I just I think there's something imposing about the number.”
Like in the mid 70s or 90s. Who was Carl Mecklenberg number 77? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
See, that's that's. We're tapping into your Bronco days. I'm talking about now. Where you could be number nine. Wouldn't you Davey and Clowny, wouldn't he?
Number nine. Is that right? Believe you. Number seven. It's South Carolina.
Yeah. Maybe. Yeah. Or like Marvin Austin at North Carolina. He was like 65 300.
We're in nine. Yeah. It's just, you know, the jersey gets stretched so much. It's one number. Yeah.
Paul. My favorite one about eight nine years ago. There's it's really good. No stack of defensive linemen. Lewis next for Notre Dame.
And he was huge. He was like 63, 340. Number one. It's okay. He took one.
Sidd and Baltimore. Good morning. Sid. How's morale? Hi, Dan.
I'm calling in because number one. I'm off of school because of parent teacher conferences. So it's one of the best days of the year. But I'm going to ask you what the expectations are after the Ravens landing maps. Crosby.
I'm sports podcast called Not What I Men. And I personally think that it's super bowl or bust. But I also think that that's expectation every year. So I don't know. Yeah.
It should be. It should be. How about you win a playoff game? How about Lamar plays well?
But yeah, if you're giving up a couple of first round draft picks.
And you're bringing Max Crosby in. Yes.
You're looking at Buffalo.
You're looking at the chiefs probably again.
You know, the chargers. These teams in the AFC. They're going to be all in. Yes, Eden. By the way, not what I meant.
The podcast hosted by Liam and Sid. Not just it. It's not a solo podcast. Oh, okay. Two middle schoolers from Baltimore.
“Sid and Liam are bringing you the angles of sports that will make you reconsider your views.”
Yeah.
But Sid took the title, though.
He took credit. Well, Sid's the creator. He has listed as the creator of Sid's rundown recap, which is a sports newsletter as well. And I'd like to give a shout out to Liam. All right.

And in the new podcast "Doubt," the case of Lucy Leppby. We unpack the story of an unimaginable tragedy that gripped the UK in 2023. But what if we didn't get the whole story? I just been made to fix. The moment you look at the whole picture of the case, Colach.
“What if the truth was disguised by a story we chose to believe?”
Oh my God. I think she might be innocent. Listen to doubt, the case of Lucy Leppby. On the iHeart Radio app. Apple podcasts.
