Let me start with free agency. Some of the big signings there. You know, the rate is signing their center. Tyler Lindervom for $27 million per year. That's nine million more than the second highest paid center.
Who is Creed Humphrey with Kansas City. I love the signing. You get an elite center. And I'm going to have him in front of Fernando Mendoza. Helping to block for ashton gentie as well.
I think it's a very smart decision. I'd load up on offensive line and early and often if I'm the Raiders. The chiefs got Kenneth Walker Jr. the third.
It's a three year $45 million deal.
And keep in mind, he's played more than 12 regular season games twice in his four years. He of course, the Super Bowl MVP. Mike Evans going to the Niners. They're probably going to release Brandon Iyuk. You got to compete with L.A. in Seattle.
And it says three years 60 million. I'd be surprised that he's 33. If he's able to go for three years. Malik Willis to the Dolphins. I told you that's where I thought he was going to go.
Three years at 67 million. The surprising part of this is, and I thought he would go there. But then I also said, if I'm the Dolphins, I would just stay with Quinn Ewers.
And then just kind of get through this season. Malik Willis, he's not coming into, I don't like using the word tank, but underperform. He wants to come in to prove that he is starting quarterback in this league.
But the Dolphins aren't ready to win now. And that's what was surprising. Now it's not a lot of money for a starting quarterback. You know, $22.5 million. I think it's great.
The Dolphins head coach, Jeff Halfley.
He was the Packers DC last year.
So he saw Willis every day in practice,
and they bring him in.
“But I was wondering about the Kenneth Walker signing.”
Because the chiefs at nine, I thought maybe Jeremiah love, if the chiefs were lucky, he would fall there. The Saints have Travis 810. They signed him.
The Cardinals aren't going to go. I don't think for Jordan Love at number three. So maybe the Titans had four giants had five or the commanders at seven. So these are the things when you look at the free agent signings. What did they mean at other positions?
Or players who were going to be drafted. And the Panthers did make the playoffs last year at eight nine. But they went out and improved their defense. Jalen Phillips. It's a lot of money.
Four for 120 and Devon Lloyd.
He was a second team all pro in 2025.
So those are just some of the moves that happen. And how they're going to impact teams with drafting. How they're going to impact other free agents there. But Kenneth Walker to the chiefs. That's that's good money that they paid.
And Albert Brear the money morning quarterback will join us next hour. We'll talk about college basketball. Those who punch their tickets last night. The drama that is magic city with the NBA. Have that for you as well.
“See what's the poll question for the first hour of this program?”
First hour poll question is from Paul who dot dot dot. Had the best day yesterday. Well, it will us to a Fernando Mendoza. Maybe Mike Evans even. There's a lot of people that changed destinations that may be upgraded.
We can populate this poll question if you'd like. Who? I'm not surprised. Had the best day yesterday. I'm not surprised to what ended up in Atlanta.
I thought if you're going to build your offense around a left handed quarterback, bringing to what any doesn't cost anything. I don't think either of these quarterbacks is the future a solution. But it doesn't cost anything. If I can bring to it in.
I don't know if Michael Panics Junior III's going to be ready to start the season, coming off in injury. And you bring into a. Maybe. I mean, you got weapons there.
And, you know, he doesn't have the strongest of arms. But he can move it around a little bit there. You got a great running back. Bring in pits back. So maybe got a offensive minded head coach.
But I'm okay with this. Yeah, Paul. You can make the case that two as career is in better shape now than it was a week ago. He gets all his money. He's on a better roster, a better defense, a winnable division, much more winnable division.
Compared to what he was in. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think there was any real down. So I'd just like the Vikings bringing in Kyler Murray. I think that's where he's gone.
I said that from the beginning. That would be the place.
“And I think with Kevin O'Connell with some offensive weapons there.”
He's indoors on turf. I like that as well. But tray Hendrickson is kind of in no man's land. You know, he missed out on that big contract. He got the one year franchise contract.
They're, uh, offer from the Bengals and now he's out looking for work. And in his age, he's not going to get that big contract. You know, might get front loaded. Maybe get some decent guaranteed money. But, uh, he missed out on his window.
Yeah, see. It does seem like with the, like, salary cap bump that happened this year. Players are getting paid. Yeah. Maybe more so than it's, it's a little bit here and there.
But, you know, I mean, that McDuffee deal is huge, even Laramie Tunsel got two years 60. That's damn good money. There's a whole bunch of guys.
You know, that, the Alec Pierce money for years 114 million.
Alec Pierce was a kid out of Cincinnati. And I remember watching, uh, one of their games. And I'm like, that dude gets behind the defense. And that's what he does. He gets behind the defense.
He's not a guy that's going to have 80 catches. He's going to get 40. And then he'll turn 40 into 10 touchdowns. He averages about 22 yards per reception. But he got $29 million.
Now, I go, wow, that's a lot of money for a guy who's not even your number one option. But 29 million per season. So that's one million less than Amon Ross St. Brown. That's $4 million more than Debante Smith. That's $5 million more than Nico Collins.
Wow. For a guy who, well, hopefully he can develop into a 80 catch guy. But he does make you pay with the 40 plus catches. Yes, Paul. Yeah, Alec Pierce last year, only 47 catches.
A thousand yards, 21 yards a catch. The year before 22 yards a catch. That's like old AFL days numbers.
Yeah, you don't get too many of those guys that are like he just does one thing.
He beats you deep. But they, the Colts, Michael Pittman Jr.
The third goes to Pittsburgh.
But Alec Pierce, you're a go-to guy for the Colts staying home. Yes, Tom. If you're the owner of an average team or a below average team that didn't do much. And I know it's been only that first day yesterday.
“What is the owner want to say to the general manager or coaching staff?”
What are we doing here? Well, you have a couple more days but you miss out on the big ticket items. And I go back to Jerry Jones. He was all in and then he was going to bust the budget I think this year. Like he comes up with slogans.
It's just, he doesn't really do anything. I mean, Rashan Gary, nice player. You know, he's a kind of a plug-and-play, you know. Kind of, let's stop the run game, I guess. Just like Kenny Clark.
So they got another Kenny Clark from the Green Bay Packers. But I keep waiting for doubt. I mean, the only move in the off season was that press got not getting married. And if on the cowboy fan. Not getting to have.
No.
What do you mean, he was engaged, right?
I honestly don't know about this. They were at the Bachelor at in Bachelor parties. And then after that decided they weren't going to get married. Is he a restricted free agent? Right now.
I think he's unrestricted. Oh. Yes.
“Lots of people saying he got too close to a ring.”
And that's true. Yeah, that's true. We had it back away. Yeah. We'll close to a ring.
Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. David and Ohio. Hi, David.
Yeah.
Seeing just all my thunder there.
But yeah. Free agency news. Good. That press got fallen off the wedding. Uh, for I don't know what happened there.
And like I've seen said, uh, I don't like the cowboys to, uh, you know, choke a month before getting the ring. So thank you. All right, David. I know we had a cowboy joke in there somewhere.
All right. 8773DP show will come up with a poll question watching basketball. I did watch the world baseball classic with Team USA. Paul schemes looked like he was in midseason form there last night. Sometimes there's certain pictures where you go.
It's not fair. Uh, Randy Johnson, when he would get on the mound and I would say, boy, it's not fair. Especially if you're left handed batter with schemes. It doesn't matter. He was bringing cheese there.
Uh, they was fun to watch. And then I'm watching OKC and the Denver nuggets. And it's back and forth. Joker's playing great SGA's playing great. Game on the line.
And SGA has the ball. And as I yell out loudly to wake up my dog next to me. Double him. Double key. Oh my god.
Step back. Three boom. And I go, oh my goodness. He's the only guy in the building who's going to take the shot. OKC didn't have their full starting line up.
And give credit to SGA. He was great. Great. You look at the numbers here. 35.
Um, he scored at least 20 points in 126 consecutive game. So he's tied with Wilk Chamberlain for the longest such streak and NBA history. He also had 15 assists. He also didn't commit a turnover. And over the last five years SGA has made eight golehead baskets in the final 10 seconds
of the fourth quarter or overtime. Three more than any other player. [MUSIC PLAYING] He's added the day brought to my Panini American official trading cards to the Dan Patrick show.
“And this isn't like you have to have your highsman moment.”
But this could be your MVP moment because if you didn't stay up and watch it. But National TV, you'll see it on Sports Center. And you're going to see him hit a big shot against their rival. And the guy who was up there for MVP as well in Joker. But SGA methodical.
And I know people can now they're starting to go. Well, you know, he kind of gets a lot of fouls called. And he kind of initiates contact. And you know, we went through this with James Harden. He's a great player.
He's a great player. And game on the line. He's done everything that you want. He plays hard. And probably going to be the MVP. Now, I thought he was going to win the MVP even before this.
Just because OKC has played well. Although they did taper off a little bit. I think we thought they're on a record-breaking pace. So he'll be the MVP. Joker to me, still the best player.
I think Jalen Brown might be the most valuable player. Just because what he did in a year that we thought was maybe a throwaway year for the Celtics, kept them in the thick of things and now Tatum is back.
They might be the team to beat in the East.
But you're watching and you're going. What is your defensive philosophy?
“If you're going to play man on man against SGA.”
And you're going to leave some poor kid on an island with the best player MVP. And they paid for it. Yes, Marvin. When I saw that play, all I could think about was you and how angry you were. Two people on him.
If Lou Dort hits the shot or one of the Jalen Williams hits the shot, all right. But not him. It cannot be. Every single time the team's best player hits a game winner,
I just see you coming the next day. No. Marvin.
I can never ever let the best player on the floor beat me.
And yes, they did forcing to take a three. But it was a step back jumper. And I got to take the ball out of his hands. It's as simple as that. Somebody else beats me.
Good. I'm fine with that. I got to take the ball out of his hands.
“And there was another defender right there at the top of the key who could have come over.”
Making pickup is dribble. Making pass it. And maybe you get somebody who is not ready to take that big shot. Like what is the downside to that? We're going to double estimate.
If he makes a shot when he's double team. Hey, he earned it. We deserve to lose.
But in that moment, I can't let him take that shot.
All right. We'll come up with a poll question. Phone calls coming up. A couple of schools. Punch their tickets last night.
Hold lot more to get to. And Albert Brewer, the money morning quarterback. We'll join us in an hour from now. We'll kind of recap what happened yesterday. And what he sees happening today in tomorrow in free agency.
“And also how this is going to affect the draft as well.”
We'll take a break. We're back after this. Dan Patrick Show. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick Show. Weekdays at 9 a.m. Eastern 6 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio.

I'm Nancy Glass, host of the burden of guild season 2 podcast. This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpride became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun. Tells me to lie down on the ground.
He identified to remain Hudson as the perpetrator. Jermaine was sentenced to 99 years. And like Laura, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth.
For 22 years, only two people knew the truth. Until a confession changed everything. I was a monster. Listen to burden of guild season 2 on the iHart radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.
You desire in family like this picture.
That's not reality.
A lot of the time it's for people.
My sister and I don't speak.
“It's definitely a very painful part of my life.”
And I hope it's not forever. But it's for right now. Listen to on purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHart radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, a story gripped the UK of looking horror and disbelief.
The nurse who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Leppi. Lucy Leppi has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the whole story?
A moment you look at the whole picture of the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox and in the new podcast doubt the case of Lucy Leppi. We follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it to ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Leppi was. No voicing of any skepticism are doubt. It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong.
Listen to doubt the case of Lucy Leppi on the iHart radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Phone calls coming up. Play of the day. Albert Brear is going to join us in an hour from now.
He sent out a tweet and I don't know if he's being sarcastic. But he said if your team didn't sign anyone within five hours of the start of free agency, your GM is asleep at the switch. Your coach is neglecting his roster and your owner is cheap. And any shot you had at a championship is over and done with.
“I think he's being sarcastic there because we do want our teams to do something right away.”
Big splash there. Who did we get? You know, I look at Denver. They didn't do anything. It's resigned everybody.
Arizona kind of did some things. And then you're looking at the Raiders and you might not know any of these players.
But they did spend over 250 million dollars yesterday.
Sometimes you get those players that build your team. So your stars can shine. And I think what the Raiders did. I give him credit for attempting to rebuild that roster or build that roster. But I got to ask Albert if he's being sarcastic here.
I think he is. Yes, seen. It sort of like feels like an amalgamation of like every common fan response. When your team doesn't do anything. It's like one of those things.
Yeah, Paul. But when I read it yesterday, I thought he was being serious. At the end he says any shot to win a championship is over and done with like, Oh, but the rest of it, I kind of agreed with that. If you're not ready to go and sign someone early. Are you behind?
I get to feeling, yes. Unless you know, you know, we're not going to overspend or we're not going to spend just to spend. Like the Cowboys, I keep waiting. Jerry says last year all in this year they were going to bust the budget. I've yet to see that.
“Now, that doesn't mean you have to be foolish.”
But Rashan Gary, that's not exactly busting the budget or you're all in with that kind of signing. But I look at the cardinals. Tyler L. Gier, defensive Lyman, Roy Lopez, the wide receiver, Kendrick Boren, and quarterback Gardner Minchew. Okay.
All right.
I mean, I don't know what you're going to do with that early first round pick.
But probably going to be a defensive player. But that goes back to what I've said, you know, the chiefs have their running back now. I think people thought maybe a Jeremiah love could fall to number nine or the saints. Well, they brought in Travis at TN. So you have some of these teams there that are taking running backs.
Now, do the giants go in. Do the Titans go in. I could see the Titans taking him. But it's high to take a, you know, a player like that at that position. But there's nobody like him.
He's one of those guys. He's be John Robinson. He has that capability of being able to beat you. A past reception, a kick return or a run. And I could see he's a weapon.
And there aren't many guys like that who put pressure on the defense in this year's draft. Yeah, Paul. Why don't you guys a little bit surprise with Kenneth Walker to the chiefs, not that he's not great. But he's max expensive for a running back. And the past few years, they used Isaiah Pacheco on a rookie deal, seventh round.
And Karim Hunt, who was making decent money, but not high end money. And they patch worked it together. This is a different direction for them. Well, an Albert Breer says that he's a good patty. He's a three down running back.
I don't think he is. And I'm going to go because I'm quoting Chris Collins' worth in the Super Bowl where he talked about Kenneth Walker is not a great past receiver, past catcher.
He's a great running back.
But if I'm playing with Patrick Mahomes, I got to be able to catch some passes here.
I would think it's some point here. Travis Kelsey is coming back. I would surprise to this. Decent money coming back. One more year.
I guess, you know, there were reports that his agent was looking at a couple other potential landing spots here. And the only reason why I thought that was interesting is, if it's true, that Mahomes is not going to be ready at the start of the season.
Knowing Mahomes, I expect him to be there week one.
But if he was looking at other places was he looking at a place that maybe you could kind of slip in, be in the postseason, maybe win another chance. Maybe win another championship. That was the only thing I thought.
“If it's a one year deal, but are you going to be able to get Patrick Mahomes?”
Is he going to be Patrick Mahomes week one coming off the injury? Yeah, Paul. I saw a couple media critics yesterday saying Travis Kelsey may have lost money yesterday, but not going all into a media career that he could have made more than 12 million instantly on the free agent Mark with the media. Oh, I agree with that, but he wants to play, you know, then it's over. Once you go in, then it's over.
And I think these guys at that age, it's hard to say, I've worked all of my life three quarters of my life. I've played football. And you all of a sudden go, yep, I'll just go into the media. We've seen a lot of guys go into the media and they're like, wait, is that all there is? You know, it's a sterile environment there unless you're doing games, and most of the guys who were making the money are the guys who were in the studio.
Aside from Tom Brady, you know, Tony Romo, Chris Collinsworth, and Troy. You got all these studio guys, you know, that certainly fox that they make a lot of money there, but trying to replicate that feeling. I give Kelsey credit, you know, if you're ready to go, you got one more year, go get him. He's going to have a broadcasting career after this.
He's got the podcast that's worth a hundred million dollars.
And as long as he still attached to Taylor Swift, people are still going to want to listen to that podcast. If somehow they break up, I would say that podcast will lose considerable amount of value, yes, Paul. It's interesting, though, his brother Jason Kelsey, same age, decided to retire after being first team all pro. He passed up another year, making about 15, 16 million and took the media job when it was hot. He went the other direction. Yeah, but I think at his position, you know, probably, you know, looking at the lifespan of an offensive lineman as opposed to a tight end there.
And Kelsey, with that team, with that quarterback, it'd be hard to walk away if I know that Patrick Mahomes is still going to be my quarterback. Yeah, see. And the level of glory you get between the Kelsey Brothers positions is a drastic difference, drastic difference. Yeah, people are like, Kelsey played on the offensive line. I don't know what position.
“And with Jason Kelsey's best play is probably the worst thing in the world for him, too.”
And it's like, oh, they're going to do it. He's like, oh, great. I got to do this again. There comes that damn twist first. Yes, Paul. I disagree with the first part and totally agree with the second part. He may be the most publicized focal point sensor in the history of the recent history of the sport. The twist push play was a partnership. And he was the face. It's not a long list of great centers who have a lot of attention exactly my point. He's probably the most famous center of all time. And his last couple years, his play was one of the most discussed plays, but like Seaton also said, it's a painful play to have to do another season.
Kelsey gives him one more year. Good. It's good to have him back in the end round of applause for Travis Kelly. Got a break. Yeah, something went his way. I'm very happy. Dave and Nova Scotia. Good morning, Dave. What's on your mind today? Well, next. Just wanted to just wanted to event a little bit. The bucks fans are wearing all black today. Obviously with the loss of Mike Evans.
“And, you know, from from the crew nation here, it seems that ever since Hashtag Tommy walked out the door. The bucks continued to revert back to their old, pretty Brady waves, right?”
They continued to push all their chips into Todd Bowles. They lose the diamond in the rough offense coordinator and Liam Cohen. They let Mike Evans walk out the door this off season when 12 months ago he was all about staying with the bucks. I guess that they've got, you know, packed wire receiver room, but just continuing to bed on Todd Bowles after a class last year when, you know, the team was looking pretty good at the beginning of the season is extremely frustrating.
It's starting to question the front office and the glazers with some of their...
It's pretty easy. Yeah, and yeah, I get it. But I don't want Mike Evans three years, but 49ers were willing to give that to him.
“If that's what it really is, you know, sometimes a three year deal is not a three year deal, but you're getting a future Hall of Famer and a big body there.”
And if you're going to lose Brandon Ayuk, I mean, they need to have a go to guy George Kettle has been that guy, but, you know, once again, these guys battling injuries here. And you're in a very tough division, but getting Mike Evans and, you know, everybody was making moves, although Seattle losing Kenneth Walker. You know, they, they keep she heed, but they, they, they had to spend to keep him, and that's, you know, it's an interesting division. It's like the battle within the war of the NFL, and that is in your own division.
And Seattle's now got to step up a little bit here, because we know the Rams have. And the 49ers as well. Let's see, Brian and South Carolina, I bribe what's on your mind. But again, Nick, two times a long time, um, I was just thinking like if the Browns really want to retool everything. I mean, why don't they go ahead and bring 300 to the end and Jerry wants to go along in like he says, maybe they can work out some sort of trade with the Cowboys and retool their lineup. They got one year that Albatross left at quarterback.
And then, you know, I don't know what happened on the offensive, if that's even a thing to do, I'll just fit ball in here. And I haven't seen any great grand plan with the Cowboys, not that they would reveal that.
But I mean, the window, you're spending $60 million on your quarterback.
You're going to get pickin', a franchise tag, and he's not going to like that, and that might lead to a holdout. It's still, they're still interesting, but, you know, you've got to be dangerous. They're interesting, they're not dangerous.
“And that's why I'm always surprised. I, and look, I haven't given Jerry the credit that he deserves, not that he's waiting for it.”
I think they've made some really smart moves. Now, they had made some really questionable stupid moves before, but I think that they've done a decent job. But you can't just do a decent job if you're going to try to compete for a championship. And when he tells us, when he comes out with these slogans, you're like, okay, what are you doing? How about you don't say anything? How about you surprise us when you do something instead of air comes, or we're going to bust the budget, and you're like, what'd you do?
We got, wait for this, wait for this, Rishan Gary.
Okay, what else? What else do we, wait for it, wait for it? Yes, Marvin. I'm sorry, DP, did you say Jerry Jones and not say anything in the same sentence? I know, I know, I know, I know. But it, it's a dumb topic, the all-in topic, as if Jerry Jones can spend as much as he wants.
There's a hard salary cap. This isn't the metz owner, or the Golden State Warriors on it. There's no way to spend more, or outspend people in the sport. But can don't tell me, right, are you right? There's no, say anything. Like, I'm okay if they didn't do anything. But don't tell me you're going to do something, and then you really don't do anything.
You know, the chargers I want to keep an eye on, because somebody's going to get AJ Brown. I think AJ Brown is going to leave the Eagles. Now, the question is, the Patriots, the chargers might be in there. The 49ers, I think, were in there, but then they just got Mike Evans. But, I mean, you got Harball and then you bring in Mike McDaniels, the new offensive coordinator.
And if you can get AJ Brown, but that'd be a big, big boost to Justin Herbert. If they got something like that, but it's going to cost you.
“I think if the Patriots or their offer was true that it's, is it going to be a first and a second and a player?”
It's a lot. AJ Brown, I think, is 28 or 29, but to get him, they could certainly use one of those. This guy is a, you know, he's a difference maker, and they haven't really had that. But you get your tackles back, Herbert, Harball, McDaniels calling plays, and you're in a very competitive division. That's another thing.
When you, I mean, the Raiders aren't going to be terrible forever. These, sorry. They won't be. They have to be better.
So, if I'm in that division, they're young, and I want to make sure that I ke...
It's just like whatever the chiefs do, you know, they're an older team. If you look quarterback, tight end, you know, some of the players there. You got to make sure that you keep up with these younger, you know, because Denver's young. And chargers with, you know, certainly with the quarterbacking situation here. Yeah, Paul.
The Raiders have made the postseason twice since 2002, 2002. So, you said forever. So, it can't ding you there. Yeah, forever forever. Ryan and Detroit, high Ryan, what's on your mind? Hey, Dad, thanks for calling me again.
Yeah, right?
First off, sockshoe, sockshoe.
And then it just seems like this year's free agency is way crazier than previous years. I don't know if that's because the cap went up, or there's just more coverage.
“I don't know, is there something that's kind of a common thread there for, for being so nuts this year?”
Well, I don't know if people or teams are looking for solutions in the draft. And certainly not having that with quarterbacks. Now all of a sudden, these quarterbacks take on a different life. So, Kyler's now more important to amaze start the year for Atlanta. Malique Willis, going to start for the dolphins. You're getting guys right now because the draft isn't very good.
I love what the Raiders did. Getting, you know, their center. I mean, that's a great player. I know it's not a great price, but still, I would overpay for my center. There's certain positions why I'd go, I'd overpay for that. And I remember, you know, there's certain drafts where you go.
And I remember when Tyler was drafted, I said, you know, that's one of those guys where somebody goes,
I got a center. But I go, that's the kind of guy who plays 10 years and plays at a high level. But we, everybody once said, you know, who's our wide receiver, our running back? Who's our quarterback? Who's our edge rusher? We got a center. Well, we'll see how that plays out here for Fernando Mendoza.
He'll, he'll be thrilled that he gets somebody that quality. Let me see Russell in Philly. Hi, Russ. Hey, what's up there? What's up, Dan? And that's one, two, ten. Remember the DVC Club, unfortunately, since 2013.
He's Eagles fan. So I'm hoping we could hold on to AJ, but there's so much noise around him. And I know he has to go out the same things that talk about him, going to the charges or the bills. I just don't want him to go to the Patriots. But you know, I thought that I'll hang up and listen.
“Yeah, I think we thought because of the relationship that you have with Mike Brable and AJ Brown, a personal relationship that it made sense.”
They certainly need AJ Brown. And with born now leaving, now you've got to get somebody who can be a playmaker. Somebody who can keep the defense on us. They got good running backs. They're bolstering their offensive line again.
And if you're going to invest in Drake May and give him a, you know, $290 million contract here next year,
go out and get somebody like this. And maybe have to overpay a little bit here. All right, we'll take a break. But when we come back after yesterday's free agency, what kind of movement did we have on the Super Bowl odds?

It feeps.com or the feeps app. I'm Nancy Glass, host of the burden of guilt season 2 podcast. This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night Bobby Gumpride became the victim of a random crime.
He pulls the gun. He tells me to lie down on the ground. He identified Termine Hudson as the perpetrator. Termine was sentenced to 99 years. And like Laura, this can't be real.
I thought it was a mistaken identity.
The best lie is partial truth.
For 22 years only two people knew the truth. Until a confession changed everything. I was a monster.

“In 2023 a story gripped the UK of looking horror and disbelief.”
Annurt, who should have been in charge of caring for tiny babies,
is now the most prolific child killer in modern British history. Everyone thought they knew how it ended. A verdict, a villain, a nurse named Lucy Leppi. Lucy Leppi has been found guilty. But what if we didn't get the full story?
The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses. I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast doubt, the case of Lucy Leppi, we follow the evidence and hear from the people that lived it. To ask what really happened when the world decided who Lucy Leppi was. No voicing of any skepticism are doubt.
It'll cause so much harm at every single level of the British establishment of this is wrong. Listen to doubt the case of Lucy Leppi on the iHeart Radio app. Apple podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Oh my God! Of the day.
This is the play of the day.
Check this out. HG with us, HGA step back three, he's got it. For to see a peacock SGA 35 points, he also had 15 assists, he also didn't commit a turnover. That's your play of the day. Play of the day brought to you by the folks have been doing it for 40 years now.
It's tirewack.com, the way tire buying should be. You find the right tires for how and what and where you drive. Ship fast and free back by free road hazard protection with convenient installation options, like mobile tire installation tirewack.com, the way tire buying should be.
I already know what the result is going to be and I'm still yelling at the TV when HGA has the ball. It's like double him. Take the ball out of his hands. Yeah, see. At what point does the league?
I'm not saying there's necessarily that shot.
“But at what point does the league start to push back on perhaps a story line of HGA pushing off a little too much?”
No, I think it's a big deal. It's a man. It's just as egregious as anything else I've ever seen in basketball. Yeah. Well, you saw this with Harden.
Tray Young got away with some cheap fouls. But I give them credit that, you know, until they call it, then keep doing it. But SGA, and then you build up that reputation of being a great player, then now it's kind of hard.
That now we're going to go back and police him. It's like with James Harden. It's like, well, later minute here. Well, you've allowed him to do it for a long time. So that would be my biggest concern with this is SGA has been doing it.
And doing it right in front of the officials. And sometimes it's, well, that's SGA. Well, he had to be come SGA. He didn't walk in and become SGA. Nobody knew who he was.
But he's developed into the best player with most valuable player in the game. Yeah. So it's just weird. People are like, yeah, his ability to create space for himself is really just unparalleled. Yeah, because he's putting his shoulder into somebody.
And then fully extending his arm pushing them away. That's how he does it. But I go back to Tim Hardaway. Tim Hardaway had this ability to create separation with a forearm.
He would get you just on, you know, on your heels a little bit.
And he just, you know, he'd have that crossover.
And all you're looking for is just a split second, like a moment.
And these guys are so good at taking advantage of that. Jordan in Pioria. And then Pauli wants to play the SGA Stat line quiz. Oh, it's fun. Okay.
Hold on. Let me get to Jordan in Pioria. Oh, man. I can't wait for that game today. I was catching up on the show last week.
And there was some great sports radio conversation going on with Larry Bird playing today's modern MBA. And it kind of got me thinking you've seen the MBA of all from the physical 80s and 90s to today's space and taste game. And I wanted to know, like, was there a specific eye test moment for you where you're like,
okay, collectively, this sport is different now. Thanks. Well, you know, it was rough and tumble with the Lakers and the Celtics. But keep in mind when those teams played against each other. They both ran the fast break.
It wasn't show time against the Celtics plotting big men. Bird would be out on the break. I mean, that it was up and down. Now, was it physical? Yes.
“But I think the game changed probably with the Cavaliers and the Nix in the 90s.”
And it was just bad basketball.
It was almost like first team to get to 90 points is going to win.
And it was really physical. And that's when I don't understand that. If I'm the commissioner, I want to try to get allow people to see my best players be at their best. Same thing with hockey.
You know, the doubles created this like shell defense. And you didn't get to showcase your best players. Now, they've since opened it up. Sometimes they'll open it up too much. But with the NBA, Bird and Magic, those two teams,
both team full of Hall of Famers and they were going up and down the floor. Not everybody had those players, obviously, or anything close to it. So they tried to play a different way. But the pistons were going to rough you up. But I would say, you know, Jordan survived that.
And then he, you know, he brought in. It felt like he ushered in a new NBA. But he had to survive getting beat up. He had to survive losing to the Celtics. Survive losing to the pistons.
And then once he got there, he was not going to lose to anybody.
But you got to see greatness. You got to see more free flowing. And, you know, they took away the hand check. And that amazing. Get put your hand on a guy.
And before you say, well, it's not a big deal. Have one of these guys, a professional basketball player put his hand on your hip. And then you tell me how much maneuverability you have. It's like holding you there. But they allowed you to do that.
All right, Pauli, the much anticipated long-awaited SGA statline quiz. Working on this one for weeks, SGA last night. 35 points. 15 assists. Zero turnovers, as you said.
I thought that was pretty shocking. Zero turnovers. I asked our stat guy.
“How many times that's happened in NBA history besides him?”
Who wants to guess? So you have 35 15 no turnovers. Yep. In NBA history. Okay.
How many guys have done that? Okay. You see. No, no, no, no, no. My guess was zero as well.
I'm going to say one. Other than SGA, you're right. It's one. Who did it? It was eight years ago.
Feels like it's an obvious guess. Yes. LeBron. LeBron James. Get it.
2018. Thank you. Wait. Are you applauding for LeBron or me? Both.
Okay. The team effort. It's just a plot. You know. You know.
Come on, Todd. I thought we just. Come on now. Mega. Wandy.
Wandy. Wandy. Debbie Downer. I was going to guess like eight. That was way off the mark.
You're going to say 11. 11. Yeah.
“I think we should update the poll results from the first hour of this award nominated program.”
And I would be glad to do that. You had one up there from all paths executive producer Dan Patrick show. Who dot dot dot. Had the best day yesterday. Malik Willis to a tug of Iloa or Fernando Mendoza.
Malik Willis right now has 46% of the vote. Guess who has 43. Fernando Mendoza. How about that? Great day.
To a. I guess he had no. He had no. He found a team that they. It'll be hard to tell the difference between the two quarterbacks, whoever is starting for the falcons is like that panic.
There's that to a.
Um. Malik Willis.
“He didn't get paid as much as I thought I think we.”
I remember Pauline.
I we'd throw out three years a hundred million.
You know, as if it's not our money three years a hundred million. And all of a sudden he's making twenty two and a half million. If he turns out to be a good quarterback. It's a great start at least for the dolphins. Albert Breyer will join us.
Next hour. Next Monday, our twenty twenty six.
