Charles Barkley will join us coming up in a little more than an hour from now. Your phone calls best and worst of the weekend as well. I know we love this Cinderella story, and please don't tell me that Texas is a Cinderella

story as an 11-seat. Now, they have rumored to have spent around $5 million on their roster this season, just to give you an idea. These aren't official. I'm trying to find out how much teams have spent.

Kentucky, they have spent, I think, over $22 million, but Arkansas, over 10 million, BYU,

they spent maybe five to seven on one player, Duke, Indiana, Indiana miss the tournament.

They rumored to have spent at least $10 million, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina,

St. John's, and Texas Tech.

Back to North Carolina, going to be an interesting week for Hubert Davis and ...

and it's strange to hear analysts say, "Is this a desirable job?" And to me, this feels like, you know, they're the blue bludds. These are, you know, those stocks that you invest in and you keep them forever. And then all of a sudden, you go, "Why isn't it a great job?" Are they spending the money?

You have, of course, the comparison eight miles down the road with Duke.

Hubert Davis bowels out, they blow a big lead in the second half, and it feels like, and

once again, these are just analysts who have been speaking. He might have to make changes to his staff. Now, sometimes when they say that, the coach will make those changes, or the coach will say, "I can't do that. I can't fire these people," but it might be last call for Hubert Davis, maybe it already

has been last call, and we might have some movement there as early as today. Iowa knocks out the defending champ, Florida Gators, St. John's against KU at the buzzer, and it sounded like this. No foul, St. John comes to go. Three seconds, two seconds, start.

All of the time, to the rim, Lamp is gone, Lamp is gone, St. John's wins it, 16-7-6-5.

The St. John's red storm, storm into the sweet 16, for the first time, 16-18-99.

Let's courtesy a Westwood-1 radio. The second straight year in which every sweet 16 comes from the five major conferences.

Major conferences became a thing in 1997 with the formation of the big 12, but that's why

you can't look at Texas and say there is Cinderella's story. I know there are 11 seed, but you're playing in a big boy conference there. They under achieved maybe during the year, but that doesn't make them a Cinderella's story. Miami of Ohio, Cinderella's story, high point, Cinderella's story. We don't have those Cinderella's stories.

It doesn't take away. These are still great games. Kansas, St. John's, they're no Cinderella's story there. You've just a great game. That felt like a big East game back in the 1980s.

It was back and forth, physical, low scoring, and the guy who hadn't scored a bucket all game says, "I want to have the ball. Here is Rick Patino on that play."

He is the amazing thing and the funniest thing I've ever been involved with.

So we're going to run a play, but they got fouls to give. And bells comes up to me and says run power, which is a high back screen pick and roll. So I walk away, I said, "Okay, power, walk away," and said, "Wait a second. He hasn't scored a bucket and he wants to run a play for himself." And then thinking as I'm walking, I said, "But he's bells."

And not only did he do it, he went with his right hand. Yeah, Dylan Darling, his nickname is Bells, I think people have talked about how he got that nickname.

It was a great game, strategy, two Hall of Fame coaches, and that's what you want.

I mean, March Madness is all about the coaches. And you think about how great these coaches, how many great coaches are in the tournament, still in the tournament. But I started to think about John Caliperi and Rick Patino. And today's athletic landscape is all about adapting.

And some guys can't do it and won't do it and they bow out, they retire. But you look at Patino and Caliperi, certainly Patino, he's a life hurt. But here they are in the sweet 16. And they have, you know, such a great track record of winning. Caliperi turned you mass into a force, took Memphis to a national title game.

One at all, at Kentucky, Arkansas won the SEC title. Patino's resume. He took Providence to a final four, championships at Kentucky and Louisville. And then he went overseas and won a championship in Greece. And then he turned Iona into a tournament team.

And now he's got St. John's back in the national spotlight. Different programs, different decades, same outcome because neither coach stayed the same. They all adjusted.

And that's what coaching is nowadays, not just having a system, but knowing when to adapt

and change, that's the system. And that's why you see Tom Iso, you know, it's no accident. These teams get better in the tournament. But maybe it's he's better in the tournament than your coach.

I think that's something to be said, to still have the energy to do it.

And that's the first thing that goes, I think, with a coach, or even player, sometimes it's

just that willingness to, you know, or the energy that it takes, certainly with a coach.

I mean, Tom Iso is a Hall of Famer, and he could retire, he could walk away. But there's part of him that it feels like, hey, I can do this again. And a lot of his players aren't great pros, but they're great tournament players. And that says something about Tom Iso, you know, Calipary, Patino, they, and I was, and this has been said about other coaches, they could take their players and beat you.

They could take your players and beat you. That's how good a coach they are. But when you get college basketball, when you can really, it feels like college football, I mean, Nick Sabin, most of the work that he did was prior to playing the game. Patino, it's the game, it's, it's Calipary, it's the game, Hurley, it's the game.

It's, what do I do right now with this play? Bill Self almost pulled off a really interesting strategy there.

He just left a little too much time on the clock.

And the last guy in the building, you thought was going to take the shot, beat you to the hoop. Yes, Marvin. Especially with somebody like Iso, I think it's a lot of energy with recruiting, transfer a portal.

It's never ending. Those guys in the summer, they're running around all over the country looking at players and things like that. And then, and I yell, and now you just add a whole another dimension to be in a college coach.

You got to adapt, you have to embrace it.

You may not like it, you know, the, you know, Sabin wasn't going to do it. They right didn't want to do it. Tony Bennett didn't want to do it.

Jay Wright and Tony Bennett should still be coaching.

But they were like, I don't want to do this. I don't want to, I don't want to do this. The coaching part is the easy part. It's all the other moving parts where you're going, oh my God. What have we got to do?

Wait, the kid wants one. Wait, do we get him? How much do we got to give him? How much more? Wait, he, he wants to, he'll stay.

But you're a CEO, not an XNO. And that's the difference here, and you got a cater to the collectives. And then you got coaches, and then you got agents, and then you're dealing with, and then you get out there, and you get to coach, it's a breath of fresh air. You're like, okay, this is what I built.

But there is no Cinderella story. You may not know Texas team, the Iowa Nebraska, oh, oh, oh. Awesome. Yes. See, see, it comes in today, and he goes, do you know how much they hate each other?

Oh, man. I said, well, download. And he goes, well, driving across country a couple of times when you go into Iowa, you're told I got directions for you to avoid Nebraska.

Yeah, they're like, at some point, very soon you have to stop driving West and either go

north or south because there's, there's just a piece of the country that you do not want to go. Oh. That's great. That's great.

Pull question today. What are we going to start out with, Seedon? We got a few options here. One of them, well, two of them, actually, we need some help with. I need help phrasing this one, because it sounds more rude than I mean it to.

But the biggest losers this weekend were, not that dot. Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, or the Lower Seeds. I'd say Florida, defending nice little champs, I'd say Florida, plus is there any other time of year that you get more frustrated with basketball off in this? Okay, I'm just watching, and I'm going, okay, I wouldn't pick them up full court.

And it's going to be a three on two, and then Iowa has a jumper from the corner. They break the press, pick them up and have court, it's light pressure. Don't let them get an advantage and you let them get an advantage on you. But they're kids, but they're, they're coached by grown-ups. That's why I go.

Oh, you don't press them, because what they have to do is beat, if they beat it, then they're going to beat you. And they either make a two or they make a three. You gave them the opportunity to size up a three. An uncontested three.

Kid drained it though. I didn't. I didn't. I don't know. It's awesome.

They're just times when I go, why, why, why.

To give credit to Iowa, I mean, it's an unbelievable, uh, you want to play that

Marvin?

Here's the call on the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Full court pressure, catch gets it into shirts, to Alpha Garus for three on the lead.

Oh, God, with three point nine to go. No time out. Lord, there's out of time outs, Iowa will use its last time out. Oh, my God. All you got to do is beat, if you beat it, then it's three on two.

And then you decide what shot you want. Yes, Mark. And this is the National Championship coach, you know. He just won it last year, you know. I can have some pressure.

I just want you in front of me. I can't let you behind me. You got what? Yeah, you got what you deserved, you know, and give Iowa credit. And they'll, they're not a Cinderella story, either.

You can't be in the big ten and say, oh, we're a Cinderella story. Or the SEC, you're not a Cinderella story.

Yes, Mark, what makes you more angry, not doubling the best player, or just messing

up on a play like that with Florida yesterday. Both. They're, they're equal. They drive me crazy. It's like, oh, that guy's got the ball.

I don't want him to have the ball.

I want somebody who is not used, that's why you can look at the same John's play and

say, that's probably the guy you want to shoot. I just don't want an uncontested light up. And it felt like Kansas didn't know what was happening. They're like, they had strategy, foul, foul, foul. When now you can't foul.

And they almost forgot like, wait a minute, no, you just play good defense. And don't let somebody get a backdoor cut or go to the hoop. I couldn't be a coach. Now, I wouldn't be like, Nick Cronan. You got a technical for clapping.

I know.

But he clapped for the attitude.

Nick's got to win a little more to be that kind of personality. Like Danny Hurley, ladies, fiery, and he wins titles. Nick Cronan, it's like, it's kind of goofy and kind of crazy. But he's entertaining. Yes, he.

Dan Hurley is aware enough to know like, yes, I'm a lunatic. I would trust me. I wish I wasn't this way. I'm sorry that I'm this way, but it's who I am. And I'm trying to be better. Nick Cronan is sort of like, yeah, you're welcome.

You're welcome that I am who I am. You're welcome. There's a very different energy between the two. But if you, yeah, Hurley kind of, when he comes on, you'll be like, I know, I know, I know.

I just, I wish I didn't, I know. Nick Cronan's not apologizing. He's not. All right, we'll take a break. Get phone calls.

That's a lot of fun this weekend. Um, and we'll talk about, I know they're going to expand. The question is, not if, but when and how many? And can that dilute March madness? It, it almost seems like it's Teflon proof.

I can't really screw it up. Now, I know, you know, we love to have the mid majors.

But I'll tell you what I think mid majors

are probably doing or going to do. And probably embrace it. I'll have that for you coming up right after this. And Patrick Schill. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick Schill.

Weekdays at 9 a.m. Eastern 6 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. And the eye-harts radio app. Paulie, who's going with Tony, who's going? Yeah, as everybody knows, where the hosts of the award-winning Paulian Tony, who's going, yeah.

But instead of us telling you how great we are, he is our Dan Patrick described us when he came on our show. Quick, knowledgeable, and funny, opinionated. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing? I went through a thing up promo.

Yeah, he wasn't talking about you. You took those clips totally out of context. Oh, yeah, well, after this promo, I'm going to take you out and beat you. Let me put this into context. Shut up.

Yeah, anyway, just listen to the Paulian Tony Fusko show. When I got radio, Apple podcasts, or whatever, you get your podcasts. Yeah. [MUSIC PLAYING] Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend

in over a decade? Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age. What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He's still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction.

And how did a 2023 event called Wag Getin, change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory. I'm a culture writer and F1 expert Lily Herman. And these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip.

What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. I do think UCLA has a really good chance of getting back to the final four. Obviously, you kind is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament.

But I be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas.

Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to UConn. And that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything. I really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU.

Only once I can possibly upset UConn. On flagrant and funny, we're giving our unfilled to take some of the big moments. The conversations everyone's having, so whether you're bracket is busted, or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. So recently, I had the incredible opportunity to have a real conversation with actors and producer, Jamie Lee Curtis, ahead of the release of our new thriller series, Scar Peta.

I can honestly say I've never done an interview like that before, you know, at one point

I set my laptop down and we just started chatting as old friends, recent Oscar recipient. So we have some commonality there. I predict that by the way. And you said these words to me, dust off your mantle. Yes.

But I looked at you and I said, what? And you said dust off your mantle. And then I left and that was it.

And then when all of that happened, I remember the next morning I think I wanted to like

write you and go, how did you know? Listen to the Questlove Show or the iHeart Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckard found himself at the center of a paternity scandal.

The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a year's long court battle to prove the truth. You doctor this particular test twice in selling stretch. I doctor the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.

I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Some like the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Olesby and I command you in it.

My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is LoveTrap. Laura Scott's new police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.

Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at America for County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice has served in Arizona. Listen to LoveTrap podcast on the iHeart Radio App, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

877 3DP show operator Tyler sitting by will come up with a poll question. Got to play the day coming up as well. My college basketball source just text me and says this is the best info I have for the teams in the sweet 16 with how much money they're spending.

Michigan at 11 million Duke 9 Saint John's 11, you con 8.5 Arizona 9.2, Arkansas 11, Purdue

8.5, Texas 8 Alabama 10, Tennessee 10, Iowa State 7 and a half Houston 7, Illinois

8.

Here are the odds here are the betting lines for the sweet 16 games, Purdue 7 and a half

over Texas, Nebraska is favored by 2 and a half over Iowa, that's one of my favorite games.

Arizona minus 8 and a half against Arkansas Houston, minus 2 and a half against Illinois. Duke minus 6 and a half against Saint John's Michigan minus 10 and a half against Alabama. Iowa State minus 4 and a half against Tennessee and you con minus 1 and a half against Michigan State, Duke Saint John's UConn, Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, let's go. Draft King's just sent me the odds.

Duke is a slight favorite to reach the championship game. Then it's Arizona, Michigan, Houston, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa State, then it dips down due to Nebraska, Michigan State, UConn, St. John's, Tennessee, Arkansas. The longest odds are Texas right now. Yes, Paulie.

I do have some bulletin board material for Iowa and Nebraska, Iowa 2.5 billion bushels

of corn in 2025, Nebraska 1.7. All righty. Yes, Todd. And there's a kernel of truth to every stat. Thank you.

Thanks for that. Let's send a one-on-pull question seed and then we'll get to some phone calls here, best in worst of the weekend. Well, we got one here from Paul off of the topic that we had there in the first segment. Which states dislike each other the most?

Ohio, in Michigan. Yeah, Michigan, Ohio is certainly up there. Iowa, Nebraska, for sure, is on that list.

Paul suggested Oklahoma, Texas, very good one.

Absolutely. Now, there's room for a fourth man or there are a lot that we could put into that fourth. We could go in New York, New Jersey if you wanted to. But there's no real rivalry football or basketball-wise with those two. Right.

Right. I mean, that's just states that don't like each other, whereas Texas, Oklahoma is about sports, Ohio, Michigan is about sports, Nebraska, Iowa, about sports, yes, Todd.

Is Massachusetts New York a stretch because of Boston in New York?

That's pretty good. Cities, I guess, Boston New York, is it a whole state of Massachusetts? It's like it's Boston. It's Boston. It just happens to be in Massachusetts.

Yeah. It's Boston versus New York. Yeah, I don't think you get out towards the Springfield area in Western mess. I don't think they're like, "You know, New York's not that bad actually. I don't think New York.

I don't think it works that way." But I'm talking about sports-wise, it'd be about Boston and New York, New York City. Maybe. I see what you're saying, Todd. Yeah, because the sports hates, it makes me a bleeds into the state that's--

Yeah, why would you general?

Why was looking at sports hate, not just New Jersey and New York?

Yeah, point. Missouri Kansas, you know, is like they got a little something simmering, sharing baseball teams, so on and so forth. Also, I would assume Florida, Georgia would be a big one. Well, Florida, Georgia one.

Well. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Marvin, did you have a suggestion?

No, I think you guys covered all the state here. All right. I like it. Thank you, Marvin. I feel like the Kansas Missouri is a pretty strong--

Well, especially if they end up taking the cheaps, that won't help really. You share a city kind of. I know.

We could always just leave the fourth option as other and let people populate.

Okay. Maybe that's what we want. Yeah, you could do that. All right. Chris, let me mention this before I get to Chris and Syracuse.

If I'm a mid-major now, if I'm coaching a mid-major, I look at my team and I treat it like it's a junior college. I'm going to get you for one or two years and I'm probably going to lose you. If you're a good player, I'm probably going to lose you. And this is where--and I heard Seth Greenberg talk about this.

When I get you for two years and then let's say a big powerhouse comes in and wants you to transfer, can I get a finder's fee for you taking my guy?

Can the mid-major get some money from one of these big conferences and say we...

to pay you whatever.

Like a buyout is there a way that you could look at mid-major and say, how do we survive

here? I mean Ohio was a great story. But once again, if I'm a power-five conference, I'm not scheduling those guys. Now I could do it because I have some kind of relationship maybe with a coach or maybe I coach there, but I have everything to lose.

They have everything to gain and I'm just going by what I would be doing if I'm coaching at a big school. I'd be like, no, it's dangerous. We're going to play on a new church site, they're going to come down to our place, we're not going to their place. But you're hearing these mid-majors, these coaches saying, hey, we'll play anybody.

High point coach, we'll play anybody, VCU coach, we'll play anybody.

Miami, Ohio, we'll play anyone. By the way, the state of Ohio did not have a good tournament.

I think that was Miami of Ohio, Ohio State, Akron.

There are another, I think they went over. I don't know if, is there another Ohio team that I missed in the tournament? But I would treat my school, my team like it's two years, two years, and I'm going to lose some of these guys. Now we find the mid-majors do damage, normally when they have their collective stay for about four years. Three years, like produce players are good enough, but they're not great enough.

So they're good enough to play high level, and they stay. I mean, Zach Edy stayed, plus the amount of money that you're going to get, most of them aren't playing in the NBA. And you could still get sort of a mid-major feel to a team like Purdue. Yeah, Pauli. I think I pitched this in November, the college football transfer portal, would to be like a transition fee, transfer fee.

So let's say James Madison has a really good quarterback, and Texas takes him. Texas has to pay a fee to James Madison to go from the group of five to the power four conferences. Yeah, I'm just trying to figure out certainly with mid-majors when it comes to basketball. How do they survive? And that might be a way that, all right, I mean, there's a buyout for coaches.

Why can't there be a buyout for players? Put everything on the table here and just say, if you transfer, this is this guy's buyout fee. You know, maybe it's, I don't know, throw out $50,000. Okay, we'll pay the $50,000.

Now at least I can get another player, I think that's the important part of what I'm looking at.

I don't want the mid-majors to go away, but they are. They're going to, yes, Tom. By the way, Wright State, Green County, Ohio is the other Ohio team. They bow down to Virginia, 82, 73 in the first round. The Wright State Raiders, yes.

Chris and Syracuse, good morning, Chris, what's on your mind today? Thanks, thank God, the best source in a comment. Iowa in Nebraska feels like football just before Thanksgiving, that basketball just before Easter. And St. John's, partying like it's 1999, and I'd love how Rick Petino has what my pop used to call Italian Alzheimer's, all you remember are the grudges.

He wants some March madness revenge against Duke and Christian Latiner, and back to LeBron passing the Chief Robert Parish for most regular season games played with 1600 and 12.

He may never catch Michael as far as NBA titles.

In fact, Michael may end up with more NASCAR titles as well, but as far as longevity and sustained excellence, LeBron is definitely the goal. And my worst is Coach Mark Pue alluded to in his press conference that the age of N.I.L. a powerful basketball program, like Gonzaga, may now have a hard time competing in the future. And if Carolina does move off of Coach Fuber Davis, there may be a neutral interest in

Mark Pue taking over a program that hasn't hired a basketball coach outside a Carolina family in 74 years. This may be the perfect time for it. And to me, you're still North Carolina, get a big name. Yeah, but from Mark Pue, unless they don't want me back at Gonzaga, I stay, you know,

you built it. You're entrenched, but expectations rise.

If they went from a Cinderella like, "Oh, where is Gonzaga?

How do you, is it Gonzaga? They're the Zags?" Oh, okay, yeah, they had John Stockton. Oh, okay, now it's, we're used to seeing Gonzaga up there as of one or two seed.

We expect them to go to the sweet 16.

The fans are no longer, and we're a cute story. You're not. Yeah, Martin.

It won't be the upside for Mark Pue to go to a North Carolina.

I don't know. Like there's no upside. I guess if you're going to say when a title, but he's been in a title game before. I can't even win a title at Gonzaga. I mean, you got Chad Holmer in the number one recruit in America to go to Gonzaga for a year.

Yeah, Pauli. Mark Pue started at Gonzaga back in 1999. They're always good. And then around 2016, that, that, that are runware at some point in the season. They were the number one ranked team in the country.

Every single season. Yeah, they're not a Cinderella story. Huh? They're just not. Buddha and San Francisco.

Good morning, Buddha. What up, D.P., happy Monday, boys. Damn, my voice is a little under the weather, but every day is a super bowl. Let's go, frithy. Damn, what a great week in a, of groups watching college basketball this time of

the year.

So fun, because just how important every possession is and how much it means to those

kids, man, the drama is always fantastic.

Best of the weekend, then, how terrible the last place, press defense was against Iowa. It's my best because he, like, he knocks down the corner three with confidence. And then he left. He leaves his left hand up in the air, saluting his pops in the D.D.C., that was special, man.

And worse of the weekend, then, I was watching the games and I was channeling my inner D.P., the Michigan State Louisville ganged in. The rims were so, wow, I know that. I was like, I was like yelling on my dentist's pissed right now. This is not good.

Thank you, Buddha. Oh, drive me crazy. Drive me crazy. You hear that tinty, I mean, it's more annoying than aluminum bats in the college world series.

Yeah, Paul. And we're all over this story as you'd expect. We really think over on this side that it's the mic'd up rims, not the rims themselves. They're overmodulated. Too much volume on the rims.

Yeah, I know. Back to you. Want to bring us closer to the action. Yeah. I would just say, just make the shots, you know, then we won't have any clanging there.

I'm never playing on a rim like that.

I'm like, damn, I've got to switch everything to shoot on that. It's going to drive me crazy. Yeah, I'm not fun to watch a game with. That's for sure. Come turn them at time.

But I will say this, your wife and your kids, your daughters, your mom. They may not watch any college basketball the entire year. But all of a sudden, they're investing in a story.

Now you have to explain why somebody's nickname is Bells, but other than that, they got

caught up in the excitement. And you know, neutral sight, just fan bases, I mean Nebraska felt like it was a home game. That was great. That was fun to see Nebraska basketball school now. It's like Indiana football school.

Question mark? Yeah, Paul. How school spend money in Texas spends their money mostly on football, less one basketball. If you're a school like Nebraska, what are you thinking for the future of your athletics department fund basketball or football more?

Same with Purdue. Oh, if I'm Purdue, I'd load up on basketball. And like a Yukon, why even spend a dime on football?

Well, Nebraska, I don't know what they spend on their football, but 7.2 million puts them,

that's at the bottom. Iowa and Nebraska at 7.2. And then you got St. John's 11, Arkansas 11. You have Michigan at 11 million dollars, Alabama 10, Tennessee 10, you know, you can't eight and a half.

All right, more phone calls, Gus and L.A., good morning, Gus, best and worse to the weekend. There are more than the surprise you're going to go up here in the boy's had a great weekend. You know, other than my lakers being the best of the weekend, they're hot right now. I'm not expecting them to be just hot at any point of the season, but hey, let's keep it

rolling. You know, having my UFC Trojan suck at basketball is like kind of being on scholarship this time of year, because you get to just watch three basketball. You don't got to worry about any poems or anything like that except that hope that you L.A. losers, which they did could jump Marvin.

So, other than that, you know, I wanted to find the worst of the weekend, could have been

That I found the very first gray of my life and my beard this weekend.

But other than that, it's opening day based all this week, my Dodgers, it's finally back.

I get to go to my first opening day this year.

My first time ever going to thus maybe I'm on opening day too much great things going on this weekend. That'd be a bad one. I'm going to carry it on this week. You boys have a great week.

Thank you, Gus. Opening day. Great. Especially in that ballpark.

I saw where Showhail Tonys, World Baseball Classic Jersey went for 1.5 million dollars.

Now I could see paying for the last time he was in the WBC. That Jersey more than this Jersey. When we come back, somebody is going to average 42.15 million dollars over the next four years. We'll tell you who in that what position after this.

Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade?

Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age? What can we learn from all of the new F-1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He's still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Wag Getting change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory.

the court, we've got you covered on the podcast, Blagrant and Funny. You look at the top four number one seeds. What do you think UCLA is going to do? Break down that for me, my friend. I do think UCLA has a really good chance of getting back to the final four.

Obviously, you kind is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament, but I be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas.

Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to you con, and that right after that would be Texas. SEC is so deep and so thick and just about everything, I really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU. Only once I could possibly upset you con. On Flagrant and Funny, we're giving our unfilled to take some of the biggest moments the conversations everyone's having,

so whether you're bracket is busted, or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you. Listen to Flagrant and Funny with Kiri Champion and Jamal Hill on the I-Hard Radio app. Apple podcast or wherever you picture podcasts. Presented by Capital One, founding partner of I-Hard Climbing Sports. The people with salt was up, it's Questlove.

So recently, I had the incredible opportunity to have a real conversation with actors and producer, and Jamie Lee Curtis, ahead of the release of our new thriller series, Scarpetta.

I can honestly say I've never done an interview like that before, you know, at one point I set my laptop down,

and we just started chatting as old friends, recent Oscar recipient, so we have some commonality there. I predict that by the way. And you said these words to me, dust off your mantle. Yes. And I looked at you and I said what? And you said dust off your mantle. Mm-hmm. And then I left and that was it.

And then when all of that happened, I remember the next morning, I think I wanted to like write you and go,

"How did you know?

Listen to the Questlove so on the I-Hard Radio app, Apple podcast, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, former Bachelor Star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth.

You doctor this particular test twice in selling scratch?

I doctor the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Some like the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern.

Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Great the Westby End. I can imagine it. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is LoveTrap. Laura, Scottsdale Police.

Illinois. Uh, also in there as well. You gotta go back to 2018 when you had Clemson Duke and Syracuse all from the ACC. That is your play of the day. Play of the day brought to you by Tyra Rackackackackackackack.

They've been doing it for over 40 years. The right tires for how and what and where you drive ship fast and free. Back by free road hazard protection, convenient installation options. Like mobile tire installation, tire rack.com, the way tire buying should be. Uh, according to the mothership, the Super Bowl Championwide receiver, Jackson Smith and

Jacob has agreed to a four year 168 million dollar deal that will make him the highest paid wide receiver in history. The deal averages just over 42 million dollars per year, including over 120 million guaranteed. Both setting records for any wide receiver. Timing is everything.

Certainly when it comes to a contract.

Your third year Super Bowl and you had an incredible year and they had to pay you.

You can let your running back go. You can't let the best receiver, one of the best receivers in the NFL. You got samedarnled and samedarnled needs, Jackson Smith and Jacob. Yes, uh, see. Yeah, and at 24, he's looking at another one of these.

If all things, everything goes well. He's he's looking at another monster deal like that. Wow, you know, like this one held recign when he's say 27. Yeah, that's not bad. Yeah, it might be three years from now, you didn't get to that fourth year.

Yeah, yeah, pick up another hundo, though, whatever. But remember when Kansas City let Tyree kill go, they were like, uh, we can't pay everybody. And we got that quarterback who couldn't make just about anybody look better. Uh, we got to pay Chris Jones and they let Tyree kill go. You can't let this kid go, you let, you know, you're running back goes.

And I think the, uh, John Schneider, the GM said, you know, you can find running backs.

You can't, you can't find Jackson Smith and Jacob, they aren't pulling. I looked right before this contract was signed. The CX were in the top six little league in cap space available. They're not in any trouble, cap space. Well, I don't think they're paying anybody a lot of money.

Correct. Now, with her spoons going to get paid. Right. Darnell's, uh, medium priced. Yeah, that's, that's that good price that we've been talking about. That it, you know, it can't be 60 and it, you know, can't be 15, you know, he's in that sweet spot

in the 30 million dollar range.

But for Seattle, mean, when you think about it, they're not spending a lot of money elsewhere. At least I don't think I don't know if they have any other big ticket items there. Yeah, Paul. Cooper Cup makes a few bucks there, Leonard Williams makes a few bucks, Sam Darnell, that's about it. Yeah, and I wonder if Cooper Cup, you know, they're going to keep him.

It feels like, you know, hey, can we do better with our money there?

I mean, it's a nice situation to be in to say, you know, do we keep him?

Do we move on from him? Um, all right.

Or phone calls, uh, Lucas, Lucas in Texas.

Hi, Luke. Welcome back. Hey, the end of the morning. Morning. Uh, best of the weekend and then some state hate for you.

Best of the weekend, um, you know, seeing the performance this weekend just gives me an excuse to bring back. I would say the greatest moment in Todd Princess DP career, which is, uh, seeing one, uh, pasta premature, uh, making it to the sweet 16. I would just say that was the funniest moment I've ever seen in the show's history. This is great to see. And it was just good games, good games all around a lot of fun.

And for state hate, you know, hey, Texas are proud. So, uh, we're not afraid to hate on anyone. So, uh, I've got a problem with Connecticut, uh, with top of you guys and all your snow and, uh, seasons and, uh, plan on and what's all this junk. Bring it on.

Thank you. Thank you, Luke.

I think, uh, four Ohio based teams, Ohio State Wright State

Akron Miami went 1 and 4 in the tournament tied for the second most losses of any state with California.

UCLA St. Mary Santa Clara, California Baptist went 1 and 4. Florida teams went 2 and 4 Miami, UCF, South Florida, and Florida. North Carolina had 5 teams, uh, North Carolina NC State Queens High Point Duke and they've gone 3 and 4 Duke is still playing, uh, Pennsylvania based teams, Penn Lee, High Bill and over, over 3 Georgia, uh, with Georgia and Kennislaw State,

over to South Carolina based teams, over to 7 Texas based teams, TCU, A&M, Texas, Texas, Tech Houston Prairie View, SMU, 9 and 5 with two teams still playing with Houston in Texas. Pete and Iowa, high Pete, what's on your mind today? Hey, Pete and Iowa? Or you have Josh and Iowa, who did you pick there, Marvin?

Pete and Iowa? Alrighty, high Pete, how are you?

Yeah, hey good, uh, I got a best, better, and best, I guess.

The best would be Iowa wrestling coming in a fourth place in the NCAA wrestling, kind of a down year, had a good comeback. Best would be Iowa State, taking care of Kentucky without your best player. Yeah, yeah, hopefully he'll be better, and the best this of course was Iowa's victory. And I don't know if you could find two better coaches then, often burger and the column.

They're a great hires, and I have a question for you. Uh, who does Bennett stretch remind you of? Marvin? I don't want to, I don't want to call him another white point guard. Like I don't want to compare him to somebody else, so I really got to think about it,

but first thing I'm going to say is like Jerry McNamere, which is lazy.

You got to go deeper, you got to go like Dan Dickow, or someone like that. Pete, who do you have? I have you. A young damn fat. Oh, no, he passes more.

I'm kind of, um, I'm trying to think. I was talking to a friend and he said you were born at the wrong time. I said, yeah, I know, I got it. Dante Calabria. At North Carolina, respect. Yeah, I have a Malcolm Braggden situation. Uh, now, Braggden, once again, if you played defense, then yeah, he got a, like, can't compare.

Uh, the celebrity bracket, Ross Tucker is in first place. Nice nice nice, nice basketball. Uh, tied for second, Frank Calabendo, Jason Garrett, Melissa Stark. Uh, let's see. No one is more uncomfortable being tied for second than Frank Calabendo.

I don't know what, what, I do this racket, and then it, and then it, and then it, it's a good, it's a bad, I don't know, dummy. Yeah, there is a frenetic pace to him when he's sitting there having dinner with you. He's awesome. He's great. He's a great company. He has a

million stories. He always has something to say. It's just a matter of who's going to say it to you.

Yeah. Oh, Morgan Freeman is here. Wei, I'm shatter's here. And that's when I knew my bracket was there. Oh, and he does Charles Markley. Say, away, Charles will join us coming up in about 20 minutes from now. One hour in the books on this Monday, best and worst of the weekend more fun calls coming up. Fritzi, seat, and more falliers, truly, back with hour two after this.
