There's a little bit of movement with the appoint spreads for March Madness, and for entertainment
purposes, Purdue yesterday was favored by seven and a half against Texas. Now it's six and a half. Nebraska, it was one and a half against Iowa, still one and a half, that they were favored. Arizona was favored by eight and a half yesterday against Arkansas. Now seven and a half, Houston was favored by two and a half.
Now it's three and a half against Illinois, and Michigan against Alabama, Michigan was
Favored by 10 and a half yesterday.
Now it's nine and a half.
“Also the odds to win the tournament, Arizona is a slight favorite over Michigan, then it's”
Duke, and then it drops down to Houston, then it drops down even further to Purdue, Illinois, Iowa State. Newcon surprisingly is what eighth on this list. But Arizona and Michigan, Duke in there, and then Houston at plus seven hundred, then Purdue plus 1300, Illinois plus 1,400, Iowa State plus 1,700, then you con plus 2,500.
And then it starts to dip down to Michigan State St. John's Arkansas Nebraska Tennessee. Iowa, Alabama and Texas, Texas, the longest of shots at plus 30,000. Friend or payment purchases, only. All right. The eight seven seven three D.P. show email address [email protected], Twitter handle, at D.P.
Show operator Tyler sitting by, you'll take your phone calls. If you listen to the program, you know what I think of Victor Wimbin Yamma, that if he doesn't win the MVP this year, it's going to be his next year. Because this is a coming out party, he was a curiosity and then I wanted to see him with a good point guard.
I wanted to see him kind of figure out he knew how to play defense. I wanted to see if he knew how to play offense, where to kind of find his spots. Well he's finding his spots now and he's making a case, a late run for MVP. Now, I've been pretty, uh, staunch, uh, supporter of SGA that he is going to get the MVP. I don't think he's the best player in the game.
But it's not always given to the best player in the game.
“You have to decide whatever your definition of value is.”
Do I think okay, see as a playoff team without SGA, I do. Now is that fair to him? Is San Antonio a playoff team without Wimbin Yamma? I don't think they are. Jalen Brown quietly carried the Celtics while Jason Tatum was out.
I still think Joker's the best player in the game. He's a statistical anomaly. But this is where it becomes a little bit more of, okay, people want to know this guy play defense, does that guy play defense, uh, Jalen Brunson? Does he play defense?
No. I don't know if Kade Cunningham plays defense. I don't know if SGA plays defense. I know Victor Wimbin Yamma plays defense. And when you think about it, he's going to be the defensive player of the year.
So at one end of the floor, he's the best player in the game. No doubt, best player in the game. How much does that count? How much does that matter to voters? It seems to matter when we want to vote against somebody.
When you say, yeah, but he doesn't play any defense. Okay, now you got a guy who's the best defensive player in the game who is going to give you, you know, 22 and 12 and 3 or 4 blocks every single night. So at the other end, he's still very high level. Last night, Wendon Yamma had 26, 15 and 5 blocks.
So over the last 3 years, there've been 11 games in the NBA where a player has had those numbers. Wendon has 6 of the 11 games. Anthony Davis is the only player with more than one. Just out of the day, brought to you by Panetian America, the official trading cards
of the program. But I want you to listen to Victor Wendon Yamma after the game last night. And I want to remind you that he's only 22 years of age. But listen to, he's just kind of matter of fact pragmatic, just like, hey, should I be the MVP?
Here's Victor Wendon Yamma.
My first one would be that D-Ships is 50% of the game and that it is under value.
“So far in your MVP race, because I believe I'm the most impactful player, defensively”
in the league. The second argument would be, we almost swept OKC in the season, and we dominated him three times with their real team and four times with their. My third argument would be that offense impact is not just sports. It just matter of fact.
Now I will say if LeBron had said something like this, you know, the media would be crushing him. But he's 22, he's stating his case, and he's right. They won 22 of their last 24. They are real force in the West, they're real force to be able to play for a championship.
If you watch them the previous years, they weren't a very good team.
But he's finding his spots, he can shoot a three, he can take it to the hoop.
“He worked out with Jamal Crawford, who had one of the better handles in the history of”
the NBA. So Wemby in the offseason worked with Jamal Crawford because he wanted to a seven, five guy wanted to improve his handle and he hands. But then you have him at the other end. He can guard the three and he can guard the rim and he doesn't have to take more than a couple
of steps. He is truly unique and he's only 22 years of age. So when we start to equate value, that's where it's open to interpretation. Is he the best player in the game? No, is the the most unique player in the game?
Yes. Is he going to be the best player in the game? Yes. Now there's a late push for Luca Donchitch. Now he's leading in scoring.
I understand that. The Lakers have played well. They lost last night.
“But how much do I give credence to he doesn't play defense?”
If Wemby is in a plus on the defensive end, and let's say he's in a minus on the offensive end.
Does anybody match up with those grades in the answer is nobody?
And if I look at what his team is done, more importantly, we tend to look if the spurs had the best record in the West, Wemby would win the MVP. It should it be that, his team isn't as good as OKC, but his value. Look at what they've done. Now it's not a, all you got to see the spurs, their curiosity, now it's like OKC doesn't
want San Antonio. They're going to do their best to avoid, because Wemby can't wait to play against Chad Honger. And that's another thing that I love. You know what happened at the old star game, Wemby cared, and the other players started to
care. I love the enthusiasm. And it matters. He cares. He plays heart like he, these are all the things you want.
And he wasn't cocking. He was just, let me lay this out to you in case you haven't thought of this and make a case. He's not going to win the MVP.
But he should be finishing second, and he's only 22, which is remarkable.
When you look at the skill of any player that, if he was six, I mean, he's Kevin Durant plus seven inches, and that the other end, he's the best defensive player in the game. Now, Katie obviously a better offensive player, but not from much longer, because once Wemby starts hitting the mid-range jumper, he can shoot a three, and he can go to the whole. You're going to have to pick your poison with him, because he'll make you pay.
You're going to let me shoot the three. You're going to let me drive to the hoop, or you're going to give me that mid-range jumper. And if I'm Wemby, I'd be pound in that mid-range jumper. I'd make you pay, because then, once you come out, I'm going by. And then the defensive end, it's remarkable to watch him. He can cover both sides of the
lane. He can go out to the three. He can guard the rim. Yeah, Paul. He had a block last night, where the guy beat him, and was going for a reverse layup. He was on the backside of the rim, reach across the net, and blocked it from the backside. It was fakish.
“It's remarkable, and you have to go out of your way to sometimes find the spurs when”
they're playing an OKC for that matter to be fair to SGA. But with Wemby gets such, I mean, you're watching history. And look, I've been around this game for almost 60 years. This is truly, truly unique with what we're seeing. But there are other players that I thought could be like this.
But on Rob Sam's, it could be like this. I thought Sean Bradley could be like this. Guys who were that tall, build, could run, and they had great touch. This is different. This is unique.
Now, we talk about people changing the game. Steph Curry changed the game more than any other player in history. Well, you can be Steph Curry because he's 6263. Like you've got there and go, I can shoot that shot. You can't be 7-5.
So, you know, they had the campaign to be like Mike. Well, nobody could be like Mike. But we would like to be like Mike. We can be like Steph Curry in our month. We can't be like Wemby.
Yeah, Paul. Maybe Wemby and Yama changes your game because you have to play defense completely differently
On him.
Your offense, you can't take normal jumpers. And I was looking at how he's finishing the season. In the month of March, he's up to 27 points per game. He's up to 12 rebounds. He's up to four blocks though he's having his best month of his season right now.
And this is what, I mean, this has to count for something a little bit more. And, oh, this is getting ready for play on position. You've won 22-24. Now, okay, C is won 12 in a row. SGA gives you a 20 a night.
And maybe it's not fair to him. He's not exciting. He's a great closer. But he's known for what.
The following fouls, that's the first thing you think of.
Oh, he's really good at drawing fouls, which I don't have a problem with. I think NBA officials have to relearn how to officiate today's game. Because you can call holding and pass interference on just about every play in the NFL.
“You have to decide how often you're going to call it.”
It's not there isn't a penalty. It's do you want to call that. And in the NBA, and this is the death of the NBA, some nights, where you're watching and it's forever. We watch this in March madness, like there are games where you go.
God, God. How long is this? Is this the same game we've been watching? It's, I think the officials got a relearn on what they're looking for and what you're going to call.
Because if I'm SGA, just like James Harden, can I get away with this? I'm going to continue to do it. All the great players. And even the players who aren't great, they try to get away with this. But if I can push off, you're not going to call it.
If I can draw a fouls, you're not going to call those. I go to the line, you're going to continue to do it.
“But I think it's incumbent upon the commissioner and the officials to look at the game”
and decide how you want to call this game. Because there's nothing better than when the game flows, where it's back and forth and back and forth is, you know, it's not tweet, tweet. Nobody wants to see that. But when I'm going to see him in person, yeah, Mark, is there a stat for shots altered?
Because it's almost like Max Crozier or hurries, like, you know what? He might win the discipline or the just off of the shots that he altered.
Never mind, the shots that he actually blocked.
Because he makes you think twice about even putting up a three point. I'm sure that they have stance on that, of affecting a shot. But when you think about it, there's only one other player in the NBA when you think defense. You think this guy and it's Rudy go bare. But that's how he does.
And he is nowhere near in the area code of Victor Wembenjama. Rudy go bare is going to the Hall of Fame because he has four defensive player of the year awards. He will be a Hall of Fame when he is going to do that and then everything he does on the offensive end. Yes, more. I'll go back to the Olympics. Rudy go bare was not on the floor for the U.S. versus
France in the gold medal game. Yeah. And you're the defensive player of the year four time. Remember, Wembenjama was supposed to win defensive player of the year as a rookie. He should have.
He should have. Absolutely. But sometimes, you know, people get into this. Oh, yeah, I'm vote for him and I'll vote for him and we don't talk about defense. Now, look at these points in the NBA, like you're getting 130 in your losing games.
But you got a guy who cares about playing defense, who plays it at a very high level, no pun intended. And that has to be factored into the MVP. I don't know if it will.
“And once again, I think SGA is going to win. They've been the best team defending champs.”
He's consistent. He scores 20 a night, but they're the best team. Yes, one. And if the spurs and a thunder meet in the playoffs, if SGA wins the MVP where it or wins the MVP award over Wembenj, you think he hated LKC before.
He's going to go nuclear on OKC in the playoffs if he sees them. Yeah. I mean, this is a rivalry. And you could hear him. He said, hey, look, we beat them when they had their lineup. We beat them three times.
I like it.
But at 22, I know we love the story and I always go back to how would the media
have treated LeBron at 22, if he said, you know, I'm the best player. This is what I do. Nobody does what I do. Wembenj, it just feels like the way he said it, got a little bit of his French accent in there and you're like, OK, all right, yeah, I believe you.
I'm buying into this. Yeah, Paul. I know there's only 10 games remaining thunder or 57 wins.
Spurs have 54 wins.
If somehow the spurs steal the one seed in the east, how much would that affect the MVP voting? It's possible. It's striking to them. Well, yeah, it's possible.
It's three games, but you know, OK, C is not losing. Now, you know, they're back to full strength. It feels like, but if the spurs maintain this, I mean, this might be one of those 10 years from now.
“We look back and say, wait, why didn't Wembenj win it that year?”
I mean, it might be that way, but it's fun to watch. It's fun to watch the growth that you see of, you know, he was kind of not awkward because he had a float of his game or rhythm to his game, but he didn't aware to stand in the NBA.
He was getting roughed up, knocked out of the paint, and then he finally got a point
guard in a positioned him. Yes, he can. I imagine, yeah, that watching Wembenj right now is similar to what it must have been like to see Wilt Chamberlain play. He like, well, there's one dude out here that is just, yeah, from the totally different
level. Yes. All right, let me take a break. I know. I have a friend who's a Boston Celtic fan, he's already going to respond to me.
Oh, here we go with the Wembenj love. Yep, here is the Wembenj love. Wembenj. All right. We'll take a break.
We'll come up with a poll question.
“We got Clark Kellogg and Reggie Miller a little later on.”
We're back after this. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick Show Weekdays at 9 a.m. Eastern 6 a.m. Pacific. Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. Paulie, who's going with Tony, who's going?
Yeah, as everybody knows, where the host of the award winning, Paulie and Tony, who's going. Yeah, but instead of us telling you how great we are, he is our Dan Patrick described us when he came on our show. Quick, knowledgeable and funny, opinionated, blah, blah, blah, blah.
What are you doing? I went the rough thing up promo. Yeah, he wasn't talking about you.
You took those clips totally out of context.
Oh, yeah, well, after this promo, I'm going to take you out and beat you. Let me put this into context. Shut up. Yeah, anyway, just listen to the Paulie and Tony Fusko show on IOT radio, Apple podcast. Oh, Reva, you get your podcasts.
Yay.
“Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula 1 race weekend in over a decade?”
Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age? What can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He's still smelled of podium champagne, an expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Waga Getting change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory.
I'm a culture writer and F1 expert Lily Hermann, and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip, a Formula 1 culture podcast that dives into the undurled pockets of the sport. In each episode, a different guest and I will go deeper into the wacky mishab scandals and sagas, both on the track and far away from it that have made F1 a delightful, decadent
dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the I-Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Has a really good chance of getting back to the final four. Obviously, you kind is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament, but I be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas.
Experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to you con and that right after that would be Texas. S&C is so deep and so thick and just about everything, I really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU. Only once I can possibly upset you con.
On flagrant at funny, we're giving our unfiltered takes on the biggest moments the conversations everyone's having, so whether your bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament. We got you! Listen to flagrant and funny with Carrie, Champion, and Jamal Hill on the I-Heart Radio app,

He pulls the gun, tells me to lie down on the ground.
He identified Termine Hudson as the perpetrator. Termine was sentenced to 99 years. And like, Laura, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth.

“A poll question for the first hour of the program, you got one?”
We got a few options here from the TOWD, you see. The only reasonable thing to do to balance UConn women's hoop dominance is make the huskies have just four players on the court or allowing opposing teams to have six players on the court. Okay.
Got to do something. Yeah, Connecticut won handily over Syracuse yesterday. And these Syracuse women's basketball coach, Felicia Leggett Jack, had this to say about playing Connecticut every March. For us, what we've done to continuously have to come to UConn and every single school that
I go to from Buffalo to his unfair to the young people. I don't know what it is. Somebody said, is there something that they might have against me if that's the case and that we need to communicate about that, but for us to be what we've done in our body of work to have to come and play the best team in the country.
I mean, Gino has this thing going and he is, I love what he's done, but I thought deserved a little more respect after being in his business for 37 years and to have to come and be in this particular bracket every freaking year is unacceptable. All right, no, it's not a neutral site. This is what the, you know, women's tournament does.
They want to take advantage of local fan bases here. They don't want a neutral site where maybe you don't get large crowds. They want atmosphere here. Connecticut is the number one team in the country. Connecticut in Syracuse have been five times in the NCAA tournament since 2016.
They met in the National title game in 2016. The last four games have been around to 32, you can as one of those games by an average of 31 points. I understand coaches going to be sensitive. You could see it and you could hear it in her voice, but you got humiliated.
It didn't matter where you were playing, you got to, you got to be honest about that.
Did you have your team prepared?
And if your team is worthy of 27 wins or whatever you had on the season, you certainly
didn't showcase that. And you're eventually going to have to play Connecticut because they're going to continue to win. I don't think this has anything to do that she coached at Buffalo or Indiana or wherever else and now at Syracuse that the tournament is going to go, you know, who we're going to embarrass.
We're going to embarrass Syracuse now. I think that's unfair to Connecticut, and Gene Oryema has no apologies.
“Gene Oryema says, "Hey, you have to raise your game.”
Come up to us. They're not coming back down to you." And I think they made the announcement last night, like a $100 million renovation arena locker rooms. I mean, this is big business here.
This is a big deal here. And yes, there are probably four or five schools each year that can win a national championship, or at least play in the national championship game. Syracuse got there 10 years ago. They are light years away.
But for her to say, you're singling me out, and I've been in the game for 30 years. I think that's unfair to the performance of Connecticut and the lack of performance by Syracuse. Yeah, pulling.
And like you've always said, the NCAA tournament is also building a tournament.
They're going to put local teams against each other, teams with natural East Coast rivalries, the fact that Syracuse and Yukon played in a final is inherent that they're going to match them up as soon as they can going forward. And it's just a coincidence that there are four hours away from each other. So you're definitely going to try to fill that building with Syracuse fans as well.
And I understand the sensitivity. You got humiliated, and then you go into that press conference soon after, and you could see the emotion that was there. You could hear the emotion that was there. I just think you got to separate, you got to separate one from the other.
The NCAA is not out to get you, because where they out to get you, when you're at Buffalo, where they out to get, yeah, you're going to play Connecticut. You should want to play Connecticut. You want to play the best.
“You would early, but I think you got to be fair that Yukon is just in a different stratosphere”
here. And yes, are you going to play it, Connecticut? Yes, you are. Why? Because there is no other women's team in America that comes close to the fan base.
Now Tennessee used to have this, LSU still has a great following South Carolina. There are really good programs. Connecticut's just different, but it feels like coach might be trying to deflect a little bit here. I mean, that's the kind of score you would see in high school.
I mean, Paul he said, Connecticut will be up by 30 and half to it. It was 65 to 12. I mean, Connecticut's really good. They're not 65 to 12 against a team that's ranked in the top 25. Yes, Mark.
Well, I may have to disagree with you because the level is different between the top five teams and teams 20 to 25. So it might be a 30 to 40 point. Yeah, not 65 to 12 different. They won't fire.
I don't know. I couldn't tell you what happened with that. Yes, you. Very clearly a discrepancy between, say, even, right, say, Marvin said the top five, even the top 10, the bottom is so much lower than the top is high.
And there's really, there's only, I'll make up numbers here. But if there's 30 really, really good players, and there's another 970 of them playing, that there's going to create these types of situations more often than not. That Connecticut is an overwhelming favor to win the title. I wouldn't rule that UCLA Texas, South Carolina LSU, that's basically it.
Yeah, Mark. And it's difficult when you watch something like, maybe the women's McDonald's all American game enters 24 girls and they're going to seven schools and three of them are going to you, Connor. And three of them are going to South Carolina and three are going to LSU and it's like,
you're not even spreading out the town.
I always go back to you, Conwood Diana Tarazzi was there.
There was one. They won the national time. She was the third best player on the team. Diana Tarazzi was the third best player because she had Subaru and Swin Cash and you got all this talent on one team and you can't spread it out like you can in the men's game.
Yes, Todd. And to suggest or think that if you're somewhere outside of a gamble pavilion, you could play the game in Antarctica instead of 65, 12, and half time, we'd have been like 59, 23,
“would there have been any kind of significant difference?”
They wouldn't.
It is tough to play Connecticut, but it's tough because start with the
talent that they have. And then you have the environment there. But I just think that the anger is kind of misdirected here. It really should be at your team. Your team played sloppy.
Missing shots, easy shots, throwing the ball at about, I mean, some of that is because of Connecticut, but you know, there's, you don't have the NIL money where we can evenly disperse talent across America, where the best player like AJ Devonza can go to
be why you for $7 million and be why you make the turn.
You don't have that in women's basketball. There still is a very, very deep divide of who is good and who is not or who is great and who is just good. But I understand the frustration. You could have called a press conference at a halftime if you wanted to.
Yes, Paul. I was hoping weirdly, because little sadistic that the, I think as Holly Roe was doing the sideline that on the way to the locker room, she would interview the Syracuse head coach.
“What do you need to do in the second half coach any adjustments at halftime?”
No, no. I like where we are. We got him right where we want to. Which do you need to get going more, your offense or your defense?
Well, we gave up 65 and Winnie scored 12.
They're getting tired from all the shit. They're going to be exhausted from making all those baskets there. Yes, Todd. You just can't spot the Husky's 53 points with your 20 minutes left of basketball, I hope to get back in the spot.
We're going to give it a shot. Thank you, Todd. All right. Some phone calls here, 8773DP show Jesse and Florida leads us off. Good morning, Jesse.
Good morning, guys, fellas, six, four, two, eight, five, double XL T-shirt.
“Then I say that because I think you just created a nice new T-shirt.”
It's going to be simple. It's a black T-Silver script when be cares because I think he does care and I would wear that proudly root them on the rest of the season because I got a 50 to one ticket for him to win the MVP. I picked up.
So guys, get the work on that when be cares. T-shirt. I would love it. All right. Like when VP, but Matt Noile, hi Matt, what's on your mind?
Hey, go morning, guys, how's everybody doing? Great. Good. Good. I had a kind of a question, a question, and then a comment.
So as far as women, you want to go, he's kind of like a unicorn, I don't know if that's the right word. And I think in baseball, the same goes for Otani. I don't know if you guys think there's somebody like that in the NFL. And then my comment was to Marvin that the hands don't make the man.
No. Okay. Thanks. Chris and Sehera-Qs, I Chris. Hey, thanks, Dan, hey, Dan, it's funny local media and fans here in Syracuse.
Echo your words to a T. Yeah, real embarrassing with Coach LaGat. And you were talking about Wendy in the first segment. And I said it a while back too, but it's going to be great for the media because he's the antithesis. His teams will be the antithesis of Tim Duncan's Dynasty if he does turn it into a dynasty.
I mean, he was Mr. Bankshot. The Nella didn't really give you anything. I mean, Wendy embraces it. He's animated. He'll talk. He shows emotion.
I mean, it's going to be, yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun. And he is. He is so unique.
It's fun to watch and watch an entire game because I always tell people when they show me
highlights, I always say I want to see the game. And they're like, well, don't these, you know, kind of bear out how great this player is. And I go, yes, but I like to see when you get a shot blocked or you throw an interception or you get sacked or you strike out, I want to see what you do your next at bad, your
“next snap, your next shot because that's what sports is.”
I mean, you think about baseball, 70% of the time you fail and you're still really good if you fail 70% of the time with basketball, you might make half of your shots. So you have these moments where you're human or you get knocked down, you get back up. Now what do you do? That to me separates you because there guys who play in college, I mentioned this before
when I went to see the Michigan Ohio State game in Ohio State years ago and just in fields
Look like he was in the backyard and there was no, like it was a pro day, aga...
They could have scored 70 that day, it felt like and it, you know, gives you this false
sense of that guy is unbelievable. And we found that that is true. He is, you know, he was on a really good team with really good wide receivers playing against a suspect Michigan defense and took advantage of it. But everybody got caught up in that and you're like, oh my God, look at that guy.
I want to see what happens when somebody puts you on your rear end, you throw an interception because that's what the NFL is. All right. We'll take a break. We will update our poll results or your phone calls.
Apparently the best quarterback in the draft according to one analyst is not the quarterback
who's going to be taken number one overall.

“Why hasn't a woman formally participated in a Formula One race weekend in over a decade?”
Think about how many skills they have to develop at such a young age? Can we learn from all of the new F1 romance novels suddenly popping up every year? He's still smelled of podium champagne and expensive friction. And how did a 2023 event called Waga Getting change the paddock forever? That day is just seared into my memory.
I'm a culture writer and F1 expert Lily Hermann and these are just a few of the questions I'm tackling on no grip, a Formula One culture podcast that dives into the under-explored pockets of the sport. In each episode, a different guest tonight will go deeper into the wacky misshap scandals and sagas both on the track and far away from it that have made F1 a delightful, decadent
dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to no grip on the Ihard radio app, apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. March mat is a seared and if you're trying to keep up with everything happening on and off the court, we've got you covered on the podcast, flagrant and funny.
“You look at the top four number one seeds, what do you think UCLA is going to do?”
Break down that for me, my friend. I do think UCLA has a really good chance of getting back to the final four. Obviously, you kind is the overwhelming favorite in this tournament, but I be honest, I think people are kind of sleeping on Texas experts are suggesting that UCLA is the number one challenger to you con and that right after that would be Texas.
As you see, it's so deep and so thick and just about everything, I really is annoying. So it's UCLA, Texas, South Carolina, LSU, only once I can possibly upset you con. I'm flagrant at funny, we're giving our unfiltered take some of the biggest moments the conversations everyone's having, so whether you're bracket is busted or you just want the latest on the tournament, we got you.

“The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story.”
This began a year's long court battle to prove the truth. You doctor this particular test twice in selling stress. I doctor the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for.
Some like the greatest disinfectant. They would uncover a disturbing pattern, two more men who'd been through the same thing. Break the West beyond, I can imagine it. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young.

I'm Nancy Glass, host of the burden of guilt season two podcast. This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night, Bobby Gumpride became the victim of a random crime. He pulls the gun. He tells me to lie down on the ground.
He identified Termine Hudson as the perpetrator. Termine was sentenced to 99 years. I'm like, Laura, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity. The best lie is partial truth.
For 22 years only two people knew the truth, until a confession changed every...
I was a monster.

“Who's career would you want past present in future?”
Otani, Wembanyama, or other. Even. Is there even another? Hmm. Right now.
Show Hey is winning that one with 72% of the vote. Wembanyama and other. If there is another, it's our tide. I can't help but think back. I think it was on this day that Mike Trout signed his contract.
It was 12 years, 465 million.
Let me see if I got the numbers. 12 years, 426 and a half million. So that was 2019 on this day. And you thought at the time, man. That guy, the next Mickey Manor Willie Mays and the he's the future of the sport.
And then all of a sudden he wasn't. And then all of a sudden they didn't make the playoffs. Then all of a sudden, Otani comes and goes. Then all of a sudden he gets injured. Then all of a sudden he doesn't come up in conversation anymore.
It happens that quickly. And it can take an injury. It can take management making bad decisions. And then you're not relevant anymore. You're relevant when you win.
Otani won with the angels he's a curiosity. Now all of a sudden you're playing in big games. And that's all we wanted with Mike Trout. We wanted to see him in games that mattered. He said three playoff games.
And that was 12 years ago.
He's been making $37 million a year for many, many, many years.
And has many left to go. Yes, Paul. Mike Trout's first eight years in the Biggs 2012 through 2019. First ballot Hall of Famer without question. Three MVP's.
He finished second four times. Since then, the last seven years. He's finished top five for MVP once. Yeah.
“But that's why when you look at this guy, can't miss this guy, this team.”
They're going to be playing for championships. It can close that quickly. And Mike Trout is not part of the national conversation anymore. And it's a shame. But I can look at ownership and management.
They didn't help him. We said at the time, if you're not keeping Otani, which everybody knew they weren't, then trade him. Get something for him. I would have traded Mike Trout.
We said that five years ago that I would trade Mike Trout. Yes, is it going to hurt? Yes. But I got to figure out how to make this team competitive in the shadow of the Dodgers.
You haven't done a good job at all.
You lost Otani.
Mike Trout is kind of mired in mediocrity as far as, you know, the team goes.
You know, they tried with free agent signings. But yeah, it's on this date in 2019. He signed that contract. He's got until 2031 to get paid. Yeah, Marvin.
The three MVP's gets my trout to the whole thing. Correct. Yes. Okay. If he had two.
Well, I'd finish top five. Let three other times. Four other times. Yeah. Minutes.
It'd be MVP.
Or he'd be a first battle whole of favor.
I would think. Yeah, probably. The last eight years are almost identical to Puhal's first eight years. Awards, stats, numbers. But Puhal's played an 88 postseason games and won two world series.
Trout played in three total games. And the cardinals wisely didn't risk disrespect Puhal's with a contract offer. But they wisely got his best years and moved on. And that's where the angels go. We'll take him.
And I remember being on the radio. And I said, if they win a world series with Puhal's, then you could validate all that money. Puhal's made one all start team. Now, you know, Hall of Famer, but the cardinals got ten years. One of the best return on investments in recent history and what they got.
Let's see, Patrick and South Dakota, high Patrick, what's on your mind? Good morning, man. Six foot, a spell, one, sixty. I just wanted to make the comments, you know. I know you guys are going to be talking about Ty Simpson here coming up.
And I don't think it's any coincidence that Dan Arlovsky is pushing Ty Simpson as being a better quarterback seeing as they both are represented by BAA sports.
“You know, this is another option you need to also knock on the Raiders.”
First of all, the offensive line is poor. We get Linda Baum. They have too many holes. We get all these signies and get an axe back. You know, so I just, it's just a funny headline that they're trying to push.
And obviously our last piece pushing it because they're connection with CAA sports together. It's not obvious. It's be fair. It's a, you know, that's an accusation. Or a lot of skis credibility is at stake here.
These, you know, these hot takes don't go away.
But, or Lovsky, he's so pro quarterback and he's always talking great about quarterback
was I surprised that he said he's better than Mendosa. So the Raiders are making a mistake in Dan Arlovsky's opinion. But I don't think I'm going to look at this and go well. They're represented by the same firm. And therefore he's going to risk his reputation to say something he doesn't believe it.
Yes, he. It is true. I'm not saying that he is doing that. But I don't know that he's worried about, is anybody surrounding any of the drafts.
“Do they really have to worry about reputation for what they get right and what they get wrong?”
I mean, nobody is really like the man. This guy gets everything right. This guy gets everything wrong. People just kind of comment. Yeah, but I think it's different when it comes to us.
This is a standalone, like he's saying that Tyson since better than Fernando Mendosa. It's not he's got a bunch of comments or opinions about these draft picks. Like this is out of nowhere. And I think that's the surprising part. And I do think that we have a callback.
You know, when Chris Sims talked about with our Jackson, he said, I think he's the best quarterback in the draft. So we do remember those things. I don't know if Dan Orlovski cares if we remember. And this is a bad take.
A lot of people like Bryce Young. And I kept going. I don't think you're seeing the same guy that I'm seeing. But hey, give us, and keep in mind, ESPN has the draft. I mean, they're trying to pump up a draft that doesn't sound like it's too enticing.
We know Mendosa is going to the Raiders. The other curiosity is Jeremiah Love.
“Other than that, what are you really interested in on that first night?”
Maybe where Tyson Sims goes, do the jets taking, do the cardinals taking. Like these are the possibilities. But we'll play what Orlovski had to say about Tyson Sims. When when we come back, and then you could judge for yourself. I mean, he's passionate.
Truly believes it. He's not the only guy, by the way, who believes in Tyson Sims. One hour in the books, two more to go. We'll talk some college basketball with Clark Kellogg, also Reggie Miller.
Can Wemby steal the MVP.
Two more hours to go back after this.
In 2023, Bachelor Star Clayton Eckard was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax.
“You doctored this particular test twice in silence, correct?”
I doctored the test once. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Reggie, Westby, and Uncle Manchini. My mind was blown.
