"You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio." Hey, it's the final hour in this Monday. Best and worst of the weekend. What you saw that you liked, you didn't like. You missed Jay Billis helping you with your brackets.
You can go to Danpatrick.com. Also, sign up for the newsletter. It comes out every day at around six Eastern wraps up everything we did on the show. Let you know about special things that we have in store. T-shirts, trips that we're going to be making.
Our next trip is going to be to Pittsburgh. And that'll be for the draft coming up in about a month from now. 877-3DP Show, operator Tyler sitting by, he'll take your phone calls. We will recap last night's Academy Awards with Kevin Frazier, Michelle Turner from Entertainment Tonight. They will join us short on sleep.
But we'll recap what we saw last night. And not surprised with anything. I think, um, you see there's one where you go, "Wow, I didn't expect that." But for the most part, felt like those who were winning were supposed to win. I guess a little bit of the surprise with Timothy Shalameh, not winning.
And Michael B. Jordan taking it home. Yes, Tom. So no bracket or Oscar's controversy. No, I don't think so. I mean, there's a couple of schools that you could say, "All right, you got a little bit of a gripe." But I don't think it's anything glaring for anybody.
Doesn't feel that way.
I mean, Bruce Pearl, who joined us in the first hour,
you know, he said, "Hey, Auburn, you know, shouldn't have made it." If you look at their record, yes, they had a really tough schedule. And they go 17 and 16. And yes, you're playing a lot of, you know, big time the opponent's there. Quad 1, I understand all of that.
“And do I think the Miami-Bell Highest Story played a large role?”
Maybe not 95% as Bruce Pearl said. But I do think we love those stories. I mean, at the time we were talking about it, they were undefeated.
Then they get clipped and we didn't know if a one-law's team would not be mak...
Is the resume great? No. Is it good? No.
But they did go undefeated.
“And I think you have to have, you know, there's the human element of the selection committee.”
And that's where you're looking at, you know, it's a good story. Plus they're going to be sort of playing at home at the University of Dayton. That's 40 minutes away from the campus. I'm going to guess that they're going to show up. A lot of pressure though feels like a winning that game.
Feels like that. Let's see NBA on NBC and Peacock every Tuesday in prime time. Coast to Coast Tuesday, cabs taking on the bucks in the West. These sixers and the nuggets begins Tuesday on NBC and Peacock. By the way, the Austin Reeves intentionally missed free throw.
Get it back score and then Luca with a jumper.
They have the talent. They have the ability. I just don't know if they can continue to play. And you got to get defensive like that's what I keep waiting. And I will give, I will give LeBron credit because it really feels like he's trying to fit in as the third wheel here.
Because it, I mean, he should understand that because it is Luca and Austin Reeves. It feels like he's passing more than than shooting. Yes, Marvin. He dove on a floor like this all that. He was a greedy and gutty guy.
Yeah, I don't know. No, that's not your job. That's, he's as old as I am, come on. Yeah. He's literally as old as I am.
He's your age. Yes, 41. Wow. That's better career. You or LeBron.
Both grew up fatherless and we invited the odds. I'm going to say LeBron just by a millimeter. Yeah, both polarizing actually.
“Everyone likes Marvin. Yeah, that's why it's funny.”
Yeah, one battle after another ended up winning. It was favored. Best actress, Jesse Buckley. Very, very heavily favored. Michael B was, I think, the second favorite.
Sean Penn, best supporting Amy Madigan. Her husband is Ed Harris, correct? Yeah, Amy Madigan. I think time back. Yeah, Paul Thomas Anderson, that was a big one. He was minus 2500 and best original screenplay sinners.
Yeah, see Jesse Buckley from HamNet. Yeah, you have sometimes people, they'll say something when they're talking about a performance where they're like, wow, they really gave everything they had. They really let it all out there.
But I never really understood what that meant until I watched HamNet.
And I was like, oh my god, this lady is really going for it. Like she, it was crazy what she was doing on camera and you're like, dang, she is really like leaving everything that she had out there for this part. It was really interesting. And it didn't feel like there was anybody else in the category that she was going to win.
And, you know, my wife and daughters watched HamNet. And I said, uh, and they said, okay, I said, well, you know, that Jesse Buckley's going to win the Academy Award. And they're like, no, okay, yeah, yeah, she was pretty good. You know, was it one of those that, oh my god, yes, she was incredible.
She was unbelievable. The movie itself though, um, it was, it's kind of like, it was, it's made for like the artist, you know, with like, oh, you just don't know the subtleties of everything.
“And you kind of get to the end of the movie and you're like, oh, that's what this was about.”
Um, okay, got it. Maybe I should watch it again to see if I understand it better or something. Plus, during the commercial break, as I walked from my side of the room to the other side of the room, Paulie goes Wolf of Wall Street, and he put both of his hands up in the air and then gave it a thumbs down. I was, I saw that movie about a month after all you guys saw it and everyone saw it. And I, you got to see it. You got to see it.
I thought it was way too over the top and she, some great actors, way too over the top side of the scene. I think it's hard to watch a movie when you don't like the guy who is the star. I mean, it's decapereo, but he's, he's playing this role and you don't like the guy. I, I was kind of like, okay, I mean, I watched it, but I was like, it didn't need to be so over the top and it felt like that. You know, there's a, the boat scene and then
when he's drunk coming out of the country club trying to crawl to his, or he's got on drugs or whatever, trying to crawl to his car. Yes, he, you know, the thing is the movie was over the top,
Which didn't necessarily bother me, but it was three hours of being over the ...
damn, and this could have been a buck 45 easy. I get it. I get it. It's excessive. Got it.
And it just kept going on and on and on. Uh, this final hour brought to you by the official longcare treatment provider, the PGA tour, true green sign up today and get a golf course quality along the easy way at truegreen.com. Then sit back and relax. All right. Zach and Knoxville. Hi, Zach. What's on your mind today? 80 feet. Thanks for taking my fall. Uh, you were talking about best drawn kiss at scene earlier, and that's definitely better off dead when he pulls up at the red light.
And the guys that learned English by listening to Howard Cosell pull up and drag great. So I'm
“laying my yeah. And I think CBS was too worried about Auburn to a focus on the fact that”
the number one overall seed do and my uton husky seemed to have drawn the toughest bracket. And
do you think that that is legitimate or do you think it's just because of all of the blue bloods that are in that bracket that make it seem so daunting? Well, they put blue bloods in there. Certainly the coaches in there. But, um, yeah, I'm curious where you con would be seeded after being blown out in the Big East title game. But as Jay Billis talked about last hour, you know, they're looking at the totality of your season. They're not looking at the last 10 games. And I thought that
that's the way it used to be. Certainly maybe 15 years ago, 10 years ago. But that apparently is not the case now. Yes, pulling. If you're looking, and we do this during football season,
“like who can help their legacy the most in this tournament? We mentioned Rick Bettino at St.”
Johns. If he wins in round one, he would probably face Kansas in round two. That would be a Biggie, a focal point game. Then round three, he could likely get Duke. And can you imagine if somehow St. Johns took down Kansas Duke back to back? Hmm, it would be like a rebirth for him nationwide. Yeah, they had to disappoint that a flame out last year in the tournament. I mean, I was such a weird game last year. But, I mean, he coach me can. He can coach better than
anybody. Or I should say as well as anybody. He's the kind of coach he can take his players in beat you. He could take your players and, you know, beat his team. I mean, I just think he has that
capability. He's that good. And Bruce Pearl said, look, he would just always overly prepared
whenever I faced him. He was he knew what I was going to do. And, but I mean, if you look at at where he's been, here's Patino, 1974, he's in Hawaii as an assistant. Then he became the interim head coach at Hawaii, an assistant at Syracuse, head coach at Boston University, an assistant with the next head coach at Providence, head coach of the next head coach at Kentucky, head coach of the Celtics, then Louisville, then he goes to Greece and wins a championship,
comes back and coaches at Iona. And now it's St. John's. I remember when Patino, when he came back to Iona, and we were like, what is going on? And then Louisville, and he gets out of the country, goes over to Greece, and then comes back, and I thought, man, he can't get away from coaching, goes to Iona, takes him to the tournament, then goes to St. John's, yeah, pulling.
“When you're so toxic, you have to coach in another country. That's how bad that dip was, post-lovel.”
Joe and Chicago, hi, Joe, what's on your mind? Yeah, um, great, Joe Dan. Hopefully, I'll tell the producer, uh, I don't know who's going to replace you, and the best of the weekend was the golf, another player blowing a forest for a glee. And the worst of the weekend was all these tournaments with nobody showing up at them, because you had to take this in real fast, land beer, and J. Billis from the same area.
Beautiful golf course. There are those 30s. Oh, you had to play the next time or something. Sounds for you. Thank you, Joe. Look at the coaches who have retired recently. So you got Sabin Tony Bennett, J. Wright, Roy Williams, Coach K. Bruce Pearl, Jim Bayheim, Jim Calhoun, Calhoun's not that recent, but you get the idea. The fact that Patino is in, he's embracing what modern college basketball is all about. Calhapari is the same way, but they get it.
You got to evolve. You got to change or get out of the sport. And J. Wright and Tony Bennett, they got, I mean, Tony Bennett got out early. J. Wright, you know, these guys could have done that
For another 10 years, but the fact that Calhapari is still doing it at a high...
Bruce Pearl walks away from $30 million. Yes, Mark. If you're a Kentucky fan, are you thinking
to yourself, maybe we shouldn't have gotten rid of Calhapari? Or Patino. That's a whole different kind of worms right there, but I think with Calhapari, I think it was, I think it was best for both it at the time that they needed to separate. Yes, Todd. I wonder how much is embracing, you know, the changes, and then I own everything versus how much it's like, I just love coaching so much, regardless of these obstacles and all the weird things and the changes that have happened over
this, I just want to keep coaching, and I'll just, you know, navigate through it, even though
“it's kind of suck. Yeah, but I think you have to embrace all of it. I don't think you can go,”
I love coaching, but I don't like dealing, you know, with NIL and advisors and, you know, of transfers and you got to, you got to embrace it, because that's the landscape. Yes, more. And also with Patino, he didn't want his story to end in Greece. He wanted to come back and make one more run at a big time program. And that's what he's doing. He didn't want it to end at Iona. That also. Yes. He got the opportunity. All right. We'll head to Hollywood when we come back
back after this. Be sure to catch the live edition of the Dan Patrick Show weekdays at 9 a.m. Eastern 6 a.m. Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the I Heart Radio app. McIntyre on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts.

“different. We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going.”
When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out. We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does, why our bodies
don't follow neat rules and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by. The second half of our
series takes us to the digestive system with a multi-part series on what happens after we eat. Okay, I just have to say that all of my favorite words apparently are digestive. Oh, it's a tradition unlike any other. I think it started
six years ago. Kevin Frazier and a shell Turner entertainment tonight, co-host. You can catch them every night on entertainment tonight. And I know what's going to happen here. We're having you on to talk to the Oscars and the shell I know you want to talk about March madness, right? Please. That's all we want to talk about, Dan. What would it be? Oscars. We are trying to figure out our travel plans right now.
Everybody's trying to figure out how we're going to get there. To get to St. Louis on Friday. So I can try to get to date on Tuesday. Kevin, where'd you go to school? I have to butt my son plays at Howard University. They play in Dayton on Tuesday night in your old stopping rounds against UMBC. I'm on a tech chain with Jimmy Ferry, the coaching UMBC, because he's been a friend for 20 years in their star Ace Valentine. I grew up with his
uncles. His mama worked with my daddy. It's a game I got to get to. You stuck the team from the meac and the playing game again, David. I'm pissed. The shell you a proud graduate of Missouri.
“Yes, indeed. And my Z. Okay. How far are you going to have them going, though?”
You know, my bracket is busted every year from the beginning, because I'm a Homer. Homer to like the Hilt, Dan, and I've got him going. I usually take him to the final floor. I don't know why, but I just do. You're a good team. Yeah, no, you know what? They can be dangerous if they just have like they got some sense, just act like you got some sense. And my kid, you know, bearing. I loved it. And the big boy show Bob, because he has to be like,
I show Bob from the Simpsons. And big boy in time. Yes, Dan, Missouri came to Howard this year to
open the season up. It was amazing. I want to shout out coach Gates for doing that to bring
an SEC team to an HPCU. More of that should happen. Then there wouldn't be these inequities come time for the NCAA tournament. And how much of I can't he Blake knee at Howard after his best player was stolen by Crane. Don't let me get started. Let him get started. Dan, let him cook. No, we got it. I want to know whether any surprises last night. Like there was no surprises on selection. No surprises. Like biggest surprise. What's one? biggest surprise. You know,
I think the biggest joy of the night was Michael B. Jordan winning best actor. I don't know if it was necessarily a surprise. Because he had kind of the tide started turning in that race. I think in the last few weeks where I think even after the Golden Globe, you could see it moving even though. He was calling me even with Tiffy Charlemagne. And you know, so people were saying, well, maybe Michael B. Jordan could win this. And then I think in the last week, it was like,
well, he could now be the favorite. Wait, but what, what, what are the votes in? Like, all the votes are like, no, it was like two, two weeks ago last Thursday was the closing of the votes.
“I think that's why you also saw Amy Madigan move up so dramatically in the end. I mean,”
she played a hell of a role in prison. Gladys is an all-time character. Yes, absolutely. But I think a lot in that race, a lot of the other people cancel each other out. And so, but I also think I mean,
she was incredible in that movie. But yeah, I don't know that I would say surprises. The only thing
Dan is that all the races were up in the air going in. So, not really a surprise, but just like, what's going to happen? What's going to, what's going to go on here? How many movies will be labelled a classic? This year, too. Yeah. One battle after another in sinners will both be alive. I say, HamNet and sinners. Oh, well, Ham, it's not pretty much a perfect movie. I don't know if you've seen it, Dan. My wife watched it and I told her to download me on it. So, she gave you the book.
You will cry.
time. Yeah. And you know, he's dead. He's actually dead. He is. That was actually reading his script
“for the next Adam Sandler movie. That's what he was doing. I think actually one of the big surprises,”
Dan's that your boy Adam Sandler didn't get nominated for an Oscar. Maybe that was the biggest surprise of this. No, it was the previous uncut gems that to me was a criminal. He was great. Yeah, he was great. Well, the safeties, you know, and the safeties made Marty Supreme and it was very much in that vein of being manic and weird and crazy and great and all of those things and madening. And I mean, Marty Supreme went from, oh, my gosh, everybody loves this movie too. Like, no one was
talking about. I still love the time we got to the Oscars. But I'm saying the talk, the chatter,
the buzz. Yeah. Die. Was there? Is there Timothy Chalamet fatigue in holiday? I don't know if
it's fatigue. I think the way that they went about marketing the movie started to tank near the end because they did this unconditionally. So what he did was he marketed, he didn't do interviews with traditional media. He went to, he went the sports route, though. And he went to all like this. He went to mellows podcast and he did, you know, ESPN shows and he did that. And so I don't think his campaign was targeted to the Oscar voters as much as it should have been. Although
I thought the marketing of the movie, he was everywhere. He just wasn't where the voters were.
“Right. I think that's the perfect point. The traditional media. He walked by the traditional media”
at every one of the award shows. Did not stop the talk. Did not do the interviews. And I think you can talk to him in Palm Springs. But I mean literally after Palm Springs, what did he say? He did nothing. Okay. Yeah. This is wild to watch. Is it a sports movie? No. No, I think it is. No. Absolutely. I don't disagree with you on that. It's a movie about being, it's a movie about life, and it's a movie about ambition. It's a movie about a little bit about narcissism and, you know,
how you show up in the world. But it definitely is a sports movie. But it shows for the love of the game, bingo longs, traveling all stars and over games. I mean, you can name a lot of movies that are about sports. I don't think this, what ping pong feels like the backdrop almost to the manic craziness. Yeah. But all of these sports movies, Kevin, are not about sports. Hunger person. Hunger person. And Durham is not about minor league baseball. Who shares about
man dreams is not about. No. But it weaves the sport in in a way that is different than
“this movie. And so does Marty. Well, the sport of I think it's ping pong in. I think that when you”
sit down and you watch, I mean, look, I still every time every time I watch for the love of the game, I still I love it watching, you know, him on the mound and the way they weave the game into the names and all that stuff. I think that's different than how Marty's surprised. Kevin's a traditionalist in that way. And you know, I see we can think outside the box. Thank you, Michelle. You know, why didn't Sean Penn show up? Well, the New York Times reports that he went to Ukraine. Right. Our reporting
from his rep was just that he's out of the country. Some people think he just didn't want to show. You know, he hasn't really showed up for much since the Golden Globes this season. But I will stand 10 toes down on the fact that Sean Penn gave the best performance on camera in any movie this year. It was that good. And he deserved the Oscar. I think it was ridiculous. He wasn't there. But he deserved the Oscar for playing the best acting role. And it's not even close in my opinion.
Yeah, go ahead. Ethan Hawke. We're carried that movie from start to finish. And he was he was
incredible. Jesse Crackley. No, it was the best performance of the year. I did have some questions
in HamNet were incredible with her face. The end of that movie. That five minutes of her standing at that stage watching that was incredible arts. It was you couldn't Kevin. You literally could not pull yourself away from the scavene. That movie Blue Moon. Go, I'm sorry. Blue Moon was awesome. I know you guys got to go Kevin. How many movies have you been? Go for it. Like I'm an actor. Okay? I mean, over 20, 20 movies, I'm just saying. Well, I will say this Dan clearly you haven't
seen Joanna Madden. My great work in that. And some of the other movies where I've made came out was, I mean, I thought I was incredible in girls trip. I mean, I don't know Dan, I'm just telling you, man. I mean, and from those moments of being on screen and being just pure magic in my eyes, I think that I understand a great performance when I see one.
Well, none of you can touch a runaway bride for Christmas.
she's had a lead before. She's been a lead. I mean, she just trumped us all Dan. I am Emma McGregor.
Okay. All right. I get the guy at the end of the movie, Dan. I get the guy. Whoa. Whoa.
“Hey, Dan, man. What? Dan, who wins? Who wins in Dayton on Tuesday night? How are the UMBC?”
I'm going. I hope Howard does. I didn't ask you to hold that's your heart. I'm asking your head. UMBC. Thanks. Okay, Dan, who wins? Who wins on Friday in St. Louis, Miami or Missouri? Missouri. Thank you, baby. Yeah. What? I mean, my God. He loves you now. Oh, my God. Don't worry. He. I love you. I love this show.
Michelle, are you putting him in a movie? Is he in a lifetime movie?
There's kids who would like to be my next leading man in my next lifetime Christmas movie. Absolutely. We have to kiss now. Only once. Twice. Okay. All right. Open mouth. What is happening here? What's happening now? Baby. What's happening to the show, Dan? Who is happening? Who's helping me? Okay. That's all I want to know.
“We go from who's going to win the UMBC game to open mouth kissing with Michelle. What the hell is going on?”
Thank you, guys. All right, Dan. See you later, Dan. Thank you all, Dan. What just happened? I got a lot. Wow. Wow. Kevin Frazier and Michelle Turner Entertainment tonight. Good. Thank you, baby. By the way, Michelle's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I mean Kevin's a nice guy, but Michelle, nobody says anything negative about the show.
That took a turn. Turner, Michelle Turner. See what I did, Tom? Very clever. It's those hot dogs. I got you. I know. I've had two hot dogs this time. You know, hot dog is the kind of thing you eat and you're going damn this taste good and you immediately feel regret where you go. Why did I eat that hot dog?
“That's nice. I think nitrates are good for creativity. It's like Google white castles.”
Where you go, man, they're going to taste good to it. Why don't I eat six of those? Eric and Oregon. Hi, Eric. What's on your mind today? Good morning, Dan. Just had a quick best and worse for the weekend. Best of the weekend, got to take the family up to Portland and participate in the Portland Shamrock Run ended up scoring one of my best times in the half marathon in about five years and worse for the weekend, watching that tell you, it bounced by Houston.
Yeah, and I watched. Well, I started watching and then I was like, wow, this isn't going to end well. It's kind of like the UConn St. John's game where you're going, all right. I'm locked in. I'm watching with UConn grads and they're all still all we're excited, man. Last time we faced him, we crushed him and then it's 10 nothing. Then all of a sudden, we got quieter, quieter. Bretton, Florida. I Brett, what's on your mind today?
ADP, how are you? Great. Always great to talk to you. I want to say hello to Brian and Rick's
a real quick and North Carolina bill listening right now. Best of the weekend, Hofstra University, my alumni, led by Speedy Clarks, then legend will be playing in Tampa, so I don't need to drive too far to feed them. That's awesome. I know, it's awesome. And most of the weekend, Austin Wells is on Dominican Republic. I don't know. I was blown away by that and I also have a part of the face bed. Anyone in the building, BRGs, I don't care. The dolphins will have a better
record than in New York Jets. Your boy Rich Eisen even said to Julian Edelman the other day of an interview that it is painful to be a Jets fan. So anyone wants it? Well, it is painful to be a Jets fan. I mean, you don't have to have Julian Edelman on to acknowledge that. Anybody want a piece of the dolphins have a better record than the Jets? I mean, the Jets should be better than the dolphins. Yeah, pulling. The Jets were out scored last year by 203 points.
They were the only defense in the league that gave up over 500 points and they didn't have an interception. Right. How many interceptions was the lowest total for an NFL team? Since they went to 17 games. So prior to none, what was the lowest number if we can find that out? I'm just curious
Because it just feels like you could accidentally get 10.
the 49ers only had two. That was the record before them. Before that, it was the Houston Oilers
“and E2 had three picks. Sound records, the Jets. Rich in Athens. Hi, Rich. Yeah, all right.”
So as always, sitting here with my puppy dog Fritzi. Thank you, Todd. Conan is my number one seed celebrity. He is one of my favorites. I've watched all of his material throughout the years, but tonight's show in the late show and his podcast. So I'm just kind of wondering for you Dan and all of Dan Ed, who is the number one seed for your, your go-to comedy, your late night, your celebrity that you just have to watch what they're doing? Well, I always keep an eye on Sandler because then I can always
ask him if I'm going to be in the next movie whenever I see him. So it's basically I'm always,
he's always under surveillance for me. But as far as late night hosts, I guess you're asking with Conan. I don't, I don't stay up and watch late night TV like that anymore. And most of those shows, I'm guessing their audiences are based on the clips that they show. You know, digital clips that they push out all day, but I respect every one of those guys for what they do, how they do it, to do it five nights a week. And, you know, there's part of
you that, you know, how political do you get, how political do you not get, the balance that you kind of have to have. I mean, I watch Fallen and he's as talented as anybody on TV. And Cole Bear made the switch and did a great job. Kimmel, very funny, you know, going back to the man show and him and Adam Krollen. So, you know, John Stewart's still doing it, but I just don't, I don't stay up. I'll see clips. Yes, Tom. The last one I found consistently funny was,
and it was worth even staying up to 1230 to 130 in the morning was Letterman to me. Between the interviews and just almost everything he did, and it was just, I just found it start to finish. That was someone that was, to me, very, very clever. And that was like a must-watch show to see Letterman. Yeah, yeah, of course it was. And he was doing something different, you know, the stupid human tricks and pet tricks and all of that. Even his approach to interviewing people
and very quirky, I mean, truly a quirky guy when you're around him. But, you know, had that ability to be able to, very bright, you know, I mean, I go back to Carson, you know, just how he was,
“you know, he just did it. And he wanted to pray to be the butt of a joke. And I think that's that's”
important too. Even hosting this, you can't be, you know, above everybody. You got to blend in, you got to get 30 sometimes. You got to make fun of yourself. And I think Letterman was able to do that Johnny Carson did that a lot. Made fun of himself. Yes, more. Was Johnny Carson as famous of an American as anybody? Pretty, he was up there. He was a big deal. Because it feels like if you were a big star, you had to go on the tonight show, at least watching clips and old social media
clips. But, you know, you're probably getting at 40 million people or so watching these things
because you only had three channels. And Carson was must-see TV. Yeah, pulling. Yeah, you could make the case in the late 70s that Johnny Carson was the most famous American, not the president. Yeah, you could be three and no who he was. Yeah. Yeah. But you didn't have social media clips then. You had to stay up. And there's three channels. All right, let's take a break.

Usually on this podcast will kill you. We talk about the diseases, infections, and biological threats that can make us really sick. But right now, we're doing something a little different. We're stepping back and looking at what the human body needs to keep going. When you consider what we know about sleep in humans, there's one rule that comes out. We are predictably unpredictable sleepers. We're talking about why sleep works the way it does,
why our bodies don't follow neat rules and why modern life makes rest so hard to come by.
The second half of our series takes us to the digestive system with a multi-part series on

Final results of the poll question. By the way, Todd has a podcast called the Toddcast available every Thursday at DanPantrick.com. And listening to this past Thursday, Todd was a little disappointed that he does a segment called the Scoreboard, and we called it the Snorboard, and Todd was wondering if he should continue to do that. Is that fair to what you were saying? I guess so. If it's referred to as the Snorboard, and you know, I got upset in the moment
because it was very loud in the background. I was fighting, and then I got the control room telling me they could barely hear what I said, and I was talking like as loud as I could, while there's other things going on. But I'm over it. It's a small thing. It's all good. But in the moment, I had an opportunity to vent and I took it. But you don't like when people are out there playing basketball, while you're doing it. No, I have no problem with anything going on
there. There could be jugglers. You could bring a woman that does the UNicycle with her just better. It just got particularly loud that day where I just was making me, there's difficult
“for me to get through it, and I couldn't be heard. So that's how I felt. And then you were also”
disappointed that Paul is the one that wanted you to encourage you to do Scoreboard, and then Paul wants to reclaim that, and then he criticizes you for what you-- Now he makes some valid points,
Because a lot of times I'll go with, you know, there's a lot of things you ca...
and I tend to go with, you know, a distinct history kind of thing, which we have a list of,
and a lot of sometimes there's more than sometimes there's overlap, which is unintended. Well, the concept was it was a play on numbers initially. Right. It could be a jersey number. It could be a year. It could be a lot of different things. And a lot of times I end up going with a year, which, you know, could bleed into, obviously, at this state and history situation. So you can sing. So I can sing. Yeah, there's a lot of that. Yeah, like when if I pick like a number one song from
that day or that week, and I can sing. Yeah, I see. I was just curious if Todd addressed the issue with the people who were being loud. I thought that was so blatantly obvious. I decided
to stay with my passive aggressive tone. Oh, got it, got it. Well, it was almost intentional.
“That's how I was. So I just let it go. I was like, you know, I'll do it with it in my one way.”
On your own podcast. Yeah. So you did it a passive aggressive? I wasn't even a plan top of everything like that, which normally isn't at all. We just kind of wing it. And then a question. I think was asked of me that I looked like I was perturbed on that day after doing the snowboard. So, uh, so I responded to the question that was asked of me. I didn't say to anybody like, let's make sure we hit this topic. Oh, yes, Paul. 1996, Dan, this Dan's for a history.
Mike Tyson won the WBC Heavyweight Championship with a TKO of Frank Bruno in round three. Thank you, saw that earlier on the scoreboard. And in 1964, Paul Hornig and Alex Carrus, star NFL players were reinstated to the league at her 11th month's suspension for betting on football games. On the state 2007, Kobe scored 65, including 33 in the fourth quarter and over time, Laker's beating Portland. Final results of the poll questions today, Satan.
No major synubs in the NCAA tournament is a good thing or a bad thing right now 90% have it as a good thing. Who's acting career would you want? Tom Cruise or Sean Penn 85% of taking
“Tom Cruise? And then who's acting career? Would you want here? Harrison Ford or Tom Cruise?”
Harrison Ford winning that one with uh, about two thirds of the vote. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, Paul. I keep going back to look at these Kobe Bryant box scores that you've been bringing up the past two weeks.
There's a thread. There's a trend. His supporting cast was almost always the same six or seven
guys. Chris Mem is always around. Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, Fommie Brown, Andrew Biden, Jordan Farmer, help, help a brother out. Kobe had a two-year run where he was on his own. Yep. Basically he probably looked, he'd walk out for the opening tip and to be like, you gotta be kidding me. If I don't get 50, we're not even competitive in this game. Yes, Marne. The fact that he scored 80 points only once. That's him. Yeah. Ronda in Texas. Hi, Ronda.
Hi, Dan. Thank you. I'm Adam. It's for drawing in your female listeners who absolutely love your show. And I've heard you mention at least twice this morning that you need a secretary. So I'd like to throw in my application. And the only compensation in return would be a BBB season set of your show in a seat in a lab track ringtone. Wow. Well, thank you, Ronda. Yeah. I think Michelle Turner from Entertainment Tonight has applied for that job.
I think she needs some entertainment tonight. It's a lot of chemistry there between the telltale. Yeah. Well, it's just, it's called charisma. That's the risous. What I have. Kevin Frazier should be nerfed. Oh. Oh. Yeah. I could swoop in and, you know, I retired from here right to Entertainment Tonight. Free agent. Yeah, Todd. And he's responsible right now. Yeah. Yes, Marne. So you're, you're going to be a correspondent in 2021 for Entertainment Tonight. I'm assuming.
No, no. I'll be a co-host. I'll be sitting there in studio. So you'll be at the Oscars. Yes. Okay. Yeah. Be on the red carpet. You know, that's what you really want to do.
“I think I could do it. I think I could have fun. You should do it. Yeah. But just, you know,”
when I'm yelling out to J. L. J. L. All the Michael B. Be yelling at him. Yes, I think we talked about it a couple of years ago, a swap. Don't go there for. Yeah. You for Kevin Frazier for one day. Because K-Fray has hosted this show. I think twice at least. Yeah. And if you just have me do the studio show, that's not a big deal. Because that's, all, that's taped. You know, you'll screw something up. You'll just do it again.
Yeah, point. We're in Los Angeles for eight days next year at the super at the big game. Yeah, the big game. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe it's not by the B. G. Yeah. The big game. You guys head into the B. G. Man, go into the big game. Oh, yeah. Carlos Booser is going to join us on
The program tomorrow.
Kendall in Houston joins us now. Hey, but let's, so best of worst, I went to the rodeo last
“Wednesday night, which goes on for three weeks and saw a creed in front of 70,000 people,”
which was incredible. And I know you all like music and stuff. But really, really, really
good. And it was just, it was packed full of a lot of I can't. I'll tell you that. Anyway. And, uh, worst was that the, the, the downfall, the guy, yes, played in the tour. I was a, I'm a big fan and I hate to see that. But the bar out was that was screaming. You are so, you with the other guy. All right. Thank you, Kendall. Yeah, we've tried to get Scott's staff of creed on. Why are you avoiding us, Todd? I'll give it an eventually. Yeah, Paulie.
Going back to when we did the soup, uh, the world series, like 20 years ago, uh, they were
preparing for the National Anthem and so forth. Yeah. We got Andy Garcia on live, Billy Crystal on
life. And I went down and asked Scott, staff, and he said, no, thank you. Nicely, but he said,
“no, thank you. And that's Pete Scott's staff. Yeah. Yeah, Mark. So you welcomed him with arms wide open?”
Yes. I mean, I say to him, I played golf with him long time ago. I don't know if something happened there. Maybe he felt like everybody was making fun of him. Let's go around the room. See what we learned on the program. Todd, what you learned today. Gus and LA literally bumped into a frail bony Mick Jagger. I'll bet Jagger, I could lift him up. I bet he weighs maybe 135 pounds. Maybe.
Yes. Yeah. I couldn't, I could probably knock him down like a little shove. Not that I would,
Ronnie Wood, uh, see, how about you? Best or what you learned today? Your next movie role might be very interesting. A hallmark movie with Michelle Turner. They shoot a lot of those in Connecticut, you know? I love it. Marvin, would you learn? Austin Wells' mother is Dominican. Paul, scoreboard. Thanks for the phone calls, everybody. Have a great day.
