Monte Mader Deconstructs Alt-Right Christian Nationalism

Monte Mader didn't read about Christian Nationalism in a textbook — she was raised inside it. Born into a far-right, fundamentalist household in Wyoming, Monte experienced firsthand the intersection of evangelical religion, political extremism, and authoritarian family structures. Her father groomed her to be a culture warrior; her childhood was shaped by purity contracts, survivalist preparation, and the belief that Democrats were a mortal enemy. Today, Monte channels that lived experience into one of the most urgent and unflinching voices in the deconstruction space. With over a million Instagram followers and two podcasts — Flipping Tables and Highway to Hell — she challenges her "Coven of Curiosity" to ask hard questions, dismantle dangerous dogma, and understand how religion gets weaponized as a political tool. In this conversation with [Host Name], Monte takes us deep into the architecture of alt-right Christian Nationalism: where it came from, how it spreads, and why it's more organized — and more dangerous — than most people realize. What We Cover Monte's upbringing inside an alt-right Christian Nationalist household in rural Wyoming — and what that actually looked like day to day The difference between Christianity and Christian Nationalism — and why conflating the two is exactly what the movement wants How the movement uses victimhood rhetoric as a political organizing tool (and traces its roots further back than most people think) The role of gender and purity culture in maintaining control within fundamentalist communities The Tradwife movement and the radicalization of young men — how online spaces and religious spaces reinforce each other Project 2025, Dominionism, and the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) — understanding the roadmap What deconstruction actually looks like from the inside — and why it's never just about theology How to have conversations with people still inside these belief systems without losing the relationship or your mind About Monte Mader Monte Mader is a culture critic, podcaster, musician, and fitness professional based in Nashville, Tennessee. Raised as an alt-right evangelical Christian Nationalist, she now uses her experiences to deconstruct religious dogma, white-washed American history, and theocratic politics. She is the host of Flipping Tables (evangelical deconstruction, biblical scholarship, and American history) and Highway to Hell (true crime and paranormal history). She is currently writing her memoir, Enough, about childhood abuse, indoctrination, and the long road to freedom. 🌐 montemader.com 📸 Instagram: @montemader 🎙️ Patreon: patreon.com/montemader 👕 **Merch** made in the USA & union-made: https://findoutpodcast.com📬 Subscribe to bonus content: https://findoutpodcast.substack.com 📱 Follow us everywhere: @FindOutPodcast  📣 Share this episode & tag us #FindOutPodcast  📥 Send us feedback and tips: [email protected]

Inside the Manosphere

If there’s one major theme that defines our work, it can be best summed up like this: The right has a well-funded propaganda media ecosystem and it’s poisoning the minds of a lot of young men.  Director and content creator Brenna Perez is very, very good at explaining why men get sucked into an online ecosystem that’s fueled by a bizarre and ugly definition of performative masculinity. We had an amazing conversation with Brenna about the new Louis Theroux documentary Inside the Manosphere, which then led to a complete autopsy about why the man-o-sphere exists, if men are bad in general (spoiler: of course not), and how to mentor young men so they stop getting sucked into the alt-right’s deep-pocketed content pipeline. It’s not easy to have these discussions and we really appreciate Brenna taking the time to share her sharp insights into what is a super important topic.  Check out more about Brenna here or on her awesome YouTube channel. 👕 **Merch** made in the USA & union-made: https://findoutpodcast.com📬 Subscribe to bonus content: https://findoutpodcast.substack.com 📱 Follow us everywhere: @FindOutPodcast  📣 Share this episode & tag us #FindOutPodcast  📥 Send us feedback and tips: [email protected]

Sen. Chris Van Hollen Wants To Give 130 Million Americans a Tax Cu

Senator Chris Van Hollen (D. MD) made headlines in the national spotlight when he appeared on the Find Out Podcast this week after participating in our State Of The Union livestream a few weeks ago. Senator Van Hollen returns to the show to cover two big issues on everyone's minds: affordability and war with Iran.  First off, Senator Van Hollen discusses how his bill, The Working Americans' Tax Cut Act, would tackle rising prices by raising taxes on billionaires and giving a huge tax cut to 130 million working Americans. The bill has 19 Senate co-sponsors and is endorsed by the AFL-CIO, the Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association. Van Hollen explains how it works.  We also discuss that Trump's disastrous war with Iran is not only costing us a billion dollars a day but is also costing the lives of 13 servicemen and 2,000 civilians including 15 school girls. Van Hollen points out that Trump, who lied about being the "anti-war President," keeps changing his reasoning and rationale for starting a war with Iran and even Trump voters in his home state of Maryland are turning on him.

Why We Should Still Compete in Safe Red Districts

1. The Georgia Special Election Surprise The race to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene triggered a March 2026 special election in Georgia’s deeply conservative 14th district.  Democrat Shawn Harris unexpectedly finished first in the initial vote, sending the race to an April runoff against Republican Clayton Fuller.  The district is rated heavily Republican, making the result a major political surprise.  2. Why Democrats Usually Avoid “Safe” Red Districts Campaign resources are limited. Parties prioritize competitive swing districts. Gerrymandering has reduced the number of competitive House districts dramatically.  3. The Case for Competing Everywhere Infrastructure: Running candidates builds local party networks and volunteer bases. Message discipline: Democrats can challenge Republican narratives directly in conservative media markets. Candidate pipeline: Today’s long-shot candidate can become tomorrow’s viable statewide contender. 4. The Political Pressure Strategy Forcing Republicans to defend deep-red districts drains their resources. Competitive races in unexpected places can shift national narratives.   5. The Bigger Problem: Safe Districts “Safe seats” often reward extremism because the real contest becomes the primary, not the general election.  Running everywhere helps break that dynamic and gives voters an actual choice.   6. What the Georgia Race Tells Us Voters in “safe” districts aren’t as monolithic as political maps suggest. When Democrats show up, organize, and talk about real economic issues, surprising things can happen.

Everything Trump Touches Turns to Sh*t

1. Trump’s Iran War Is Escalating U.S. strikes against Iran triggered a broader conflict in the region. The Strait of Hormuz—responsible for about 20% of global oil shipments—has been disrupted, sending energy markets into panic.  Polls show most Americans expect the war to drag on and drive prices even higher.  2. Gas Prices Are Rising Fast Oil has surged above $100 per barrel, pushing gas prices higher across the U.S.  In some places like California, prices have already topped $5 per gallon.  Trump has dismissed the increase as a temporary “glitch.” 3. A Terrible Jobs Report The latest report shows the U.S. economy lost 92,000 jobs and unemployment ticked up to 4.4%.  Markets dropped following the report as investors reacted to the worsening outlook. 4. Prices Are Still Rising Energy costs are feeding broader inflation fears. Economists warn the combination of weak job growth and rising prices could push the U.S. toward stagflation.  5. The Big Question Trump promised cheaper gas, a stronger economy, and fewer foreign entanglements. Instead, Americans are watching prices rise, jobs disappear, and another war unfold in the Middle East.

Has Donald Trump Ever Cried?

What We Get Into: Trump launching military strikes on Iran on March 1, 2026 — without congressional authorization — in what he called "major combat operations," warning from the jump that American lives would be lost His response when the first three U.S. service members were killed in Kuwait: framing their deaths as an expected cost of the mission, saying "we expect casualties, but in the end it's going to be a great deal for the world" — before their families had even been notified Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon, scolding reporters for covering the dead soldiers too much, claiming it was an attempt to make Trump "look bad" Trump's aide Steve Witkoff going on Fox News to reveal Trump had "a tear in his eye" meeting freed hostages — and why the public reaction was immediate and brutal The Iran war itself: who benefits, who wasn't consulted (Congress), and why even some MAGA voices — including Marjorie Taylor Greene — called it "absolutely disgusting and evil" Only 28% of Americans thought the administration made a compelling case for the strikes. Two-thirds wanted a congressional vote. None of that happened. The deeper question: is this a man incapable of empathy, or one who has simply decided he doesn't need to perform it anymore? 👕 **Merch** made in the USA & union-made: https://findoutpodcast.com📬 Subscribe to bonus content: https://findoutpodcast.substack.com 📱 Follow us everywhere: @FindOutPodcast  📣 Share this episode & tag us #FindOutPodcast  📥 Send us feedback and tips: [email protected]

Even Experts Can't Explain WTF Trump Is Doing In Iran

In speech after speech during the 2024 election cycle, Trump promised that he wouldn’t engage in regime change or nation building.  If you turned that into a drinking game, you’d need a new liver by now.  And now, he hasn’t just done it once. He’s done it twice. This past weekend, Trump proved once again that you know he’s lying because his mouth is moving.  While it’s not entirely surprising he invaded Iran, it’s still a shock and awe moment that will go down as one of his most cataclysmic decisions in his dangerous and chaotic history. And here’s the thing: Iran isn’t Iraq. Or Afghanistan. Or Venezuela. Iran is the 6th largest country in Asia (around 92M), with a GDP of over $400B. They have vastly superior military capabilities than many of its neighbors. Even if we can all agree that it’s not being ruled by anything that even looks like a pluralistic democratic regime, you could also argue the same thing about the modern U.S.  Imagine how (rightly!) fucking pissed you’d be if a foreign nation assassinated our leaders without backing from its populous and started bombing our nation’s capital. And that’s just what Trump has done…again. But this time, he’s picked a dangerous and wealthy enemy.  To put it mildly: Fuck.  We sat down with Gregg Carlston live from Riyadh (Middle East correspondent, The Economist), and Andrew Miller (former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli-Palestinian Affairs) who spoke to us to try and make sense of the region’s reaction to the invasion.

Why ICE Picked the Wrong City to Invade

Minneapolis-based content creator Anna Connelly joins Find Out to share what life is like now that ham-like Tom Homan has taken over for fun-sized Greg Bovino in Minneapolis, where parents and schools have been forced to take it upon themselves to secure their students and neighbors and protect the community from the reckless violence and blatant racial profiling of ICE.Anna talks growing up dealing with MAGA relatives and trying to balance sanity with the need to reason with them, while admitting the further we go into this dystopian version of the United States, the more difficult it's become to keep outright anger from boiling over. ICE Murder in Minneapolis

Today in South Minneapolis, an immigration enforcement operation turned fatal when an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. While the Department of Homeland Security is labeling the incident an "act of domestic terrorism," local leaders—including Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz—are calling it a "reckless" murder and "propaganda." We break down the timeline, the viral video evidence, and the escalating "occupation" of the Twin Cities.Plus Eric Swalwell tells us what he will do about ICE if he elected Governor of California. Key Discussion PointsThe Incident at 34th & Portland: A breakdown of the events at approximately 9:30 AM. Renee Good, identified as a "legal observer" and U.S. citizen, was in her SUV near an active ICE raid when she was confronted by federal agents.Conflicting Narratives:The DHS/Trump Admin View: Claims Good "weaponized her vehicle" and attempted to ram agents, forcing a "defensive" shooting. The Eyewitness/Video View: Witnesses and viral footage suggest Good was attempting to turn around or leave the scene. Reports indicate an agent reached across the hood and fired multiple shots through the windshield into her face. The Political Fallout: * Mayor Jacob Frey’s Rebuke: "To ICE: Get the f*** out of Minneapolis."Governor Walz’s Warning: Calling the federal narrative "bullsh*t" and a "propaganda machine," while putting the National Guard on alert to maintain peace. The Broader Context: This killing occurs during a massive federal surge (approx. 2,000 agents) in Minnesota—just blocks from where George Floyd was murdered in 2020.Legal & Civil Rights: What are the rights of legal observers? Who has jurisdiction to prosecute a federal agent for a shooting on city streets? 👕 **Merch** made in the USA & union-made: https://findoutpodcast.com📬 Subscribe to bonus content: https://findoutpodcast.substack.com 📱 Follow us everywhere: @FindOutPodcast  📣 Share this episode & tag us #FindOutPodcast  📥 Send us feedback and tips: [email protected]
